Charcoal Grill in Bristol, City of

Been coming here for years, but the worst kebab last week, onions were bitter, lamb was chewey & the chicken was dry and tasteless and looked uninteresting. Yet another fast food joint going bad all for profit and no love in their food . Avoid and dont waste hard earned money.

We order quite often, using their own delivery. It’s quick and easy online. We literally never had a bad meal and it always arrives really quickly. My wife always gets large mixed shish kebab and I get the burger meal. There’s loads of meat in the kebab. We sometimes get the pizzas for the children and they love them. Keep up the good work!

Can't recommend this place enough. Competitive prices and really good food. Pizzas are very nice, especially the margherita one - not stingy with the cheese at all, but at the same time not overly cheesy (so it's not a pile of grease). The chips are always crispy and hot. The chicken shish is good too, and they add a good amount of salad. My partner's go to is always the donner kebab, he said it's delicious. The customer service is waaaay better than most other places. Delivery is quick, food was always hot upon arrival and the drivers go out of their way to make sure your food gets to you. For example one evening I ordered from Charcoal Grill as I was driving home so the order arrived to my place before I did. The driver called me to let me know, I told him to leave the food on the porch but he actually waited in the car until I got home to give me the food saying he didn't want to leave the food on the pavement to get cold. Any other place would've left the order on the floor for the foxes to eat, so I can't praise them enough :)

The ONLY place I buy pizza from, great toppings, always scalding hot when it's delivered - always cooked perfectly, upbeat delivery drivers too - gotta say I love it!

My experience was terrible order food chips tasted like plastic and my can of Fanta has some sort of chunks of Vaseline all over it absolute disgusting dont understand how standards like this is acceptable

I’ve ordered from here before a lot and this time it was disgusting. There was a horrible aftertaste, both lamb shush was fatty and gross. The pita also had a horrible taste. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Ordered a chicken burger with salad and no sauce, got a chicken burger with no salad and bbq sauce. The salad is my favorite and I dont like bbq. So disappointing. The rest of the order was fine and correct though.

I ordered food at 1830 meant to be with me 1945 after giving it until 2030 I rang and got through after 6 attempts.I explained and they said listen to me we are busy,you will wait!!!i told him to listen to me but he was having none of it.I told him to cancel order as to late and he replied you do it,phone just eat!!He then hung up.Next thing it changed from delayed to delivered and I never recieved a thing.Just eat were just as bad but finally managed to get a refund this morning.Never again will I use either one of these again

Terrible service unable to contact the restaurant or just eat!

Didn’t even arrive after just eat taking £23.90,there customer service is worse then charcoal grill,now I need to try and get my money back and make a sarnie

I make my order and i spect they put the name in the order they just ring the bell and leave the food in the floor, in the house live more people so I didn’t know if is my food or not bad service honestly.

Was absolutely the best kebab I’ve had in ages! Little late but doesn’t matter.

Excellent food - good portions size - had Doner chips and salad chilli sauce did not disappoint - forget Pizza Hut & Dominos pizza’s here are generous tasty and the base is the best ever

My food was never delivered by the restaurant, my partner has had to go and collect it because they weren't answering the phones and didnt respond to my online complaint asking where our food was. I've still got 3 hungry children sat here waiting for their food, the restaurant didnt even offer any sort of refund or freebies. Joke, will never order from here again.

Rang to find out where my food was and was told were are very busy here, 20 mins’ and then they hung up. Very rude

Over a hour late, when the food finally got here it was freezing cold and the doner kebab was dripping in Greece. I had one mouthful and it was so salty I’m going to be up in the night drinking gallons of water at a time like a hump back whale. I want a refund because my water bill is now going to be through the roof.

Visited charcoal grill on 30th sept 2020 and bought one of their burgers. The burger tasted ok but soon after I started being sick.safe to say I will not be buying food from them again.

Phone pocket dialled a kebab, called to cancel, assured my order would be cancelled. It wasn’t. Don’t trust, too salty anyway, you’ll be awake for a night chugging water

This is the fourth of fifth time we have ordered from Charcoal Grill and they never fail to amaze us how tasty the food is. Always taste fresh and the meat is never fatty, even the Lamb, which can be known to be a bit fatty, just really nice food, would definitely order from them again.

First time ordering from here after a recommendation . Ordered 2 Shish kebabs, one lamb one chicken. Food arrived quickly , hot and a generous size. Meat was cooked to perfection. Some of the best Kebabs I’ve had in a long time.

Have ordered him here before no issues But this time someone else's order arrived called restaurant after 4 times we got through my order arrived well burgers was cold and 2 tops and 2 bottoms of buns was on each burger . Called just eat have a £6 .20 credit to next order

Website advised delivery time could be up to an hour but food delivered after about 30 mins which was great. Very good food too.

Order placed 7.30pm, delivery confirmed 8.30pm. After 9pm still no sign of food, restaurant phone going to voicemail. Contacted Just Eat who checked with the restaurant who told Just Eat it was already delivered. Finally got through to restaurant who told me my order was next (after lying to Just Eat that they had already delivered it). Food finally arrived around 9.30pm. I will not use this restaurant again.

1 1\2 hours late, chips not good,chicken okay disappointed after this was our first time using you.

I appreciate it was Saturday night, we ordered at 7.15 and an hour wait is acceptable, but not almost 2 hrs without being notified. We have ordered from here before and food and service was amazing. Food was luke warm and chips were soggy and almost cold. Not impressed this evening

Food is actually pretty good however the guy with the stubble couldn’t have been more rude when I asked for clarification on the price! I would likely not return due to that which I suggest you have a re think on customer service I know it’s not a restaurant but being polite is free and keeps you local customers my advice go for a curry across the road 👍🏻

Order here every few weeks it’s always consistent and 10/10 lovely fresh chicken shish kebab to share with amazing fries 🍟 tried a pizza for the first time tonight and it was lovely will be going back. Finally found a decent kebab shop. Friendly staff. Thanks 😊

This place is the genuine article in terms of providing all you need for a tasty meat meal with all the necessary trimmings. Freshly cooked over the charcoal grill the mixed shish was delicious and tender while the accompanying fresh salad and dressings were just right. The only possible downside (not a major criticism) was that the chips were of the MacDonald's french fries type so although the portion was indeed generous their small individual size was not in my opinion as good as their larger cousins which you get at a fish & chip shop.

Have a chicken sheesh at least 3 times a month and never disappoint they are fresh filling and very tasty. Please don’t change these

Ordered food from them at around 6 pm, called them up TWO hours later asking them where our food was? Our house is a 10 minute drive from this restaurant- called three times. The first time the man told me his driver was coming, the second time he said that he was just preparing the van and the third time told my family that we’d cancelled about an hour ago. Which didn’t happen. I’m very disappointed with this level of service, having a 2 year old in our house going to bed without his meal.

The freshly made shish kebabs are worth the wait. Good salad and selection of sauces. Reasonable prices.

Lovely food and plenty of it but only critisism was I asked for meat to be well done and was very pale and anemic in colour - not how I like it. Appears they didn’t take notice of the options you ask for

Really lovely kebabs. Lots of donner meat and chicken and fresh salad with a fab chilli sauce. Would recommend and will order again.

I ordered 4 cheese burgers and onion rings 3x quarter pounders with cheese and 1x half pound cheeseburger...... I received all 4 burgers with no cheese & no salad no sauces probided either, onion rings were also cold. Me and the kids were very unhappy after waiting such a long time ordered at 19.03 arrived at 21.28 very disappointed.

First time I phoned to say food was late was told within ten minutes. When I phoned 15 minutes later food hadn't left yet. No apology, just a 'what do you want me to do when I explained I wasn't happy. When finally arrived chicken undercooked. Will not use again

Luke warm food. Very late. 1..5 hours. Did refund 3.60 from bill. (13.60 bill). Only upon request. Chicken was dry and luke warm. Chips soggy and luke warm. First experience of bad service from here. (Long time orderer) Maybe a one off?

The shish wrap I ordered would have tasted much better if it had salad and some type of sauce inside it. Please add an option for this.

The food was good, but after receiving a message to say that it would be 20 mins late, it was then 15 mins later than the new time, this was a little disappointing and we are much later than we anticipated.

Appalling. Almost 2 hours since I ordered the food and it's still not turned up. Restaurant lied when I called up saying it was on its way and then they admitted they hadn't started the order. This has happened on 3 occasions

First time order. On time, good portion size & value. Nice to have 100% lamb in wafer thin slices. Will definitely order again.

The food was tasty and hot, the delivery guy was friendly, arrived on time and actually found my house (unlike a certain large chain pizza restaurant beginning with D who always sends it to the wrong house!) Good value for money.
