Chapati Club in Ealing

What a find. On a busy road in Acton totally surprised to find an authentic non pretentious curry house. A selection of Indian street food starters took me instantly back to the streets in Mumbai. The mains were deliciously spiced, I felt as if I was at home enjoying my mum’s cooking. (I’m British with Indian parents). It’s rare to find this quality of Indian food in London. If you’re looking for a proper Indian food experience with loads of nice touches - for example - a decent wine list, highest quality of desserts, a great (not annoyingly imposing ) playlist and all reasonably priced , then you can’t go wrong. I’m definitely coming back regularly and ordering takeaways when I’m too tired to cook.

I started ordering from Chapati Club after a friend recommended it during lockdown in 2020, and my family has fallen in love with the prawn curry. So much so that on friday morning, during school run, my son mentioned how he had been thinking about "that prawn curry we ordered the other day". It is now a treat to order from Chapati Club in our house. I went to the restaurant for the first time for my birthday in 2022, and it was, obviously, even better than on delivery. Everything we have eaten at this place is top quality, the wine is good and at a reasonable price.

Wow! Probably the best curry ever! You will not be disappointed! Great service, amazing food! Nothing not to like! We will be back!

Possible the worst Indian meal ever, which is a real pity as we would have liked this local restaurant to do well. We got taken in by the good reviews and did a small take away. The food was terrible. The paneer gravy tasted like it was from a ready meal packet from the local supermarket, the chappati was stretchy and rubbery and over kneaded; one would think that a restaurant with chappati in the name would at least get that right. It isn’t that hard.

After several years, I return to Chapati Club for its consistent high quality. Not just the best restaurant in Acton, definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in London! Really good food, super friendly service, nothing to fault!

Excellent in every way, from ordering to the delivery and the quality of the food. This was the first time that I used Chapati club. It arrived hot and was possibly the best indian food that I have tasted. I was particularly impressed with the Acton railway lamb, the Keema Pau starter and the delicious butter chicken. I cannot wait to actually visit the restaurant when they are able to open. So glad that they have survived the past year.

This is the best curry you can get in w3 and beyond! Everything on the menu is superb, and the Kormas for kids are very popular.

Went in August with our family and we all agreed the food and service was outstanding. The fish curry and the black daal is a must. The ambience and the decor (graffiti & the indian ART) was lovely and quite unique. The owner was at the resturant and made us feel welcome. We will be back again.

We’ve not been able to visit Chapati Club through lockdown and couldn’t collect as we don’t drive but a little angel just very kindly delivered it for us and my word, it was worth the wait. Truly spectacular. So fresh and piping hot as if it’s just come out the oven and every dish is unique yet equally as flavoursome. It’s exactly what you hope it’ll be. In fact, it’s the kind of food you dream about. Plus you know they’re good people who run the place too. As well as providing meals for the nhs over the last few months despite being a small business themselves, they are sustainably minded, use (and champion) local suppliers and put on awesome events for the Acton community too. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Genuinely good food by genuinely good people.

Firstly, the food at Chapati Club is brilliant. Been a few times since they opened and never been disappointed. The chicken and goat in particular are amazing. That said, on the last two occasions the service has been exceptionally poor. When visiting the other week we had to wait an hour for one starter to arrive with the main and other starter following about half an hour after we had finished the first starter. All the while Deliveroo orders were flowing out the door. At no point did the staff recognise the long delays we had to experience waiting for our food. The whole experience soured the evening and really dissuades me from coming back. I was left thinking what is the point making the effort in visiting a restaurant I like when the service is consistently bad. I'd just be better off ordering on Deliveroo and paying them the service charge. If a restaurant wants a takeaway, run a takeaway - do not neglect customers who want to come in and enjoy the restaurant experience.

I first visited and reviewed Chapati Club in 2018, when I was favourably impressed. I went with a large family party last year and, although the food was quite good the service was terribly slow. The learning that time was to pre-order for a large group. I went back this month with my daughter and had a very good meal. The service was a bit slow but the food was well worth the wait. Particularly good were the Prawns, Bank Bang, Chicken G and the Tusker Kenyan beer. The Covid precautions were good and I felt safe in the restaurant. I shall certainly come again

A small intimate restaurant, with great home cooked style food. This place has something very different. The first thing I noticed was the powerful pictures on the wall, then comes the fantastic 90’s music (Chapati Club playlist on Spotify) followed by great food and a really chilled atmosphere. The Paneer and especially the sauce (also available with chicken) is delicious, other dishes I really enjoyed were the Okra Fries, the Gun powder potatoes coupled with a Laccha Paratha and a Mango Lassi to finish the meal.
