Chang Chai Thai Kitchen in Forest Heath

I tried for the first time tonight and loved it. everything was soo yummy, especially the pad thai. will be eating here again.

Used to be the best thai, last nights soup was more like bath water. Unfortubately went in the bin after trying it. If thryve changed chefs certainly will be finding a new place.

The food was superb; up there with the best Thai I’ve had and it was a lovely touch that the chef brings the food to you. Service was very friendly. Quaint little restaurant; only half a dozen tables. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area and whole heartedly recommend.

Have been eating here with my partner for the past few months now and dissapointing to see how the levels of standards of food has changed, normally the food is lovely but lately there has been great decline, for example the crying tiger and coconut rice and the rice and all vegetables seem to be dramatically underdone whilst the steak is almost leather, atleast pick a side on whether you want your food to be over or under done not both it doesn’t even out.

We had such a lovely meal here. Service was excellent, happy and smiley staff made for an enjoyable experience. Food tasted great, the best Thai food I've ever had. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Top notch.

I recently visited Chang Chai Thai Kitchen around lunchtime, there were no other customers. My friend and I decided to order some food and bubble tea, but unfortunately, what happened next completely ruined our visit. As we waited, I watched the waitress prepare our bubble tea. To my shock, I saw her close the syrup bottle and then lick the excess syrup off the lid. I was absolutely disgusted by this unsanitary behavior, and it made me lose all confidence in the hygiene standards of this place. We left immediately. 🤮🤮🤮 This experience left a very bad impression, and I won’t be coming back. Hygiene in food service is non-negotiable, and I urge the restaurant to take this issue seriously.

Food was lovely but the female waitress working this evening needs to smile and use basic manners (no thank you, no greeting, no smiling). She comes across as if she hates every second of being there, it was so rude. The male waitor was lovely and was how you would expect a server to be when coming to a restaurant. He would get the full 5 stars. Food was quite good.

They sent me a message saying it would be delivered late but it was delivered on time. It was delicious hot and I will definitely order from there again.

Really sorry to say it was not great this time around :( The chicken in massaman curry was very tough and chewy I couldn’t even eat it. And the pork on toast was over cooked and hard. Normally I absolutely love this food! The Veg spring rolls and Thai tea were great as well as the flavours overall. Hopefully next time chicken and starter will be better! :)

Customer service non existent. Seems the waiters/waitress forgot how to smile. It felt like they don’t want us in the restaurant. For a non existent service they automatically put service charge. It is a joke. They seem more interested in checking their mobiles. Food is ok not the same taste. Ambience is ok Hope the management put some effort and train their waiters. Disappointing!!!

Great Thai place in the area. They serve bubble tea as well. Clean place with good service. Plus, they gave us complimentary mint chocolates.

This is for the people looking for authentic Thai food. BLUF: This ain’t it. We ordered drunken noodles, pad Thai, beef salad, and Tom Yum. - Drunken noodles: Incredibly bland - Pad Thai: Also bland and tasted like it was made with a tomato-based sauce - Beef salad: The meat was over cooked and the salad was a bed of mint? - Tom Yum: This was the only thing that tasted decent. However, the shrimp was over cooked and it seemed like they used dried mushrooms We also spent £65 for such a small amount of subpar food. Highly disappointed and surprised at all of the 5 star reviews.

This is a hidden gem. We visited this restaurant while passing through the area. The service was excellent and the food was top notch! We had a Thai green and a massaman as well as veg spring rolls and chilli squid. I also had a Thai ice tea. Everything was delicious! We would definitely visit again if near the area.

Service could not have been better!!! What a revelation on our doorstep. Food was delicious but seriously credit to the staff, so attentive, friendly and genuine. We will be back!

They delivered in the time frame originally, but for some reason GPS sent them to the wrong house this time, no idea why or how, worked every other time. They contacted me and I eventually got my order so I'm okay with it.

The first estimate was for 610 then it changed to 625-645. It arrived at 630. I placed the order around 510. The food was good for the most part but be prepared to wait longer than you want to.

My drink wasn’t delivered with the meal

Food and service great. Our first visit here but not our last. Chicken Panang Curry and Massman Beef Curry both superb. And thanks to the 2 young ladies serving for a lovely night. The smallest portions of rice I’ve ever seen, massaman curry flavour was ok at best, but again, small portion, no sauce, tough beef, and never had sweet potato in one before, which doesn’t work at all (did say it contained it in the menu but I didn’t read it granted, but didn’t think I needed to as I know what massaman has in it, probably the worst massaman I’ve had! Ate half of my Mrs’s Panang too and I’m still hungry, flavour was ok again though.

Live in kentford and they managed to deliver! It was so good! Delivered on time, driver was friendly and delivered with care. The Thai tea is sooooo good. My only tiny criticism is the chicken was a little tough but other than that it was really good and full of flavour.

Bad Tom yum soup, worst ever esten

Really do love the food in this little restaurant. So tasty and plenty of it. Staff could be a bit friendlier but the quality of the food made up for that. I told them it was my mums birthday and they didn’t even acknowledge it where some restaurants bring a little something out so we can sing happy birthday. Great location and good value for money

My husband and I came for dinner. We didn’t have high expectations having been disappointed with other Asian restaurants in the area. The food was made with quality ingredients and tasted as good or better than the authentic Thai that we had in Thailand. I had green curry with coconut rice and my husband had red curry with plain rice. The chicken was clearly chicken breast and there were no mystery parts. The desserts were also delicious. We are definitely adding this place to our list of favorites!

When ordering it said 40 mins delivery and then once ordered it was 1 hr 15 mins and then delayed for another 15 mins.. so delivery was doubled basically

Ate here as our hotel restaurant was closed- starters were lovely but Pad Thai was worst I have ever had.. hubby had spiced belly pork & it was ‘ok.. but not much to shout about’ Service was alright-too busy chatting to the delivery guy than paying attention to the diners. Wished we’d gone elsewhere to be honest.

Nowhere near as good as usual / previous orders, everything tasted the same and wasn't as flavourful as I would normally expect. Definitely didn't feel like it was value for money.

Absolutely amazing food! The service was excellent as well with a very sweet staff! We have eaten there twice, and they were so kind to take our order a bit later in the evening when they could have turned us away. The food tasted so good as well! We recommend the panang Curry, the duck, their coconut soup, and the bubble drinks! We will be returning here again soon!

Unfortunately, the food wasn’t to our taste. The Thai green was so overpowered by lemongrass and a strange dark green colour. The slow cooked ribs had barely any meat on them, got a tray full of bones and a gravy like sauce. Disappointing.

The issue is that I placed an order that they told me would be ready in 30 minutes.. it’s now been an hour… And I’ve tried calling three times now for an update and no answer. This is by far the worst customer service on incorrect time info I’ve ever gotten. Wow…

Our second visit was every bit as good as the first. The restaurant is very clean and the service just right. The high point is the quality and flavour of the food. We enjoyed satay and tempura prawns which we shared to start followed by a prawn green curry for me and beef massaman for my wife. The flavours and spicing were perfect and we enjoyed each mouthful. We have already booked our next visit. Excellent value.

Food was awesome! Have to remember that curries come with rice. I forgot and ordered a side of rice and now I have two containers of rice. Yummy food though and still hot!

Veg and tofu pad thai was really yummy and the veg spring rolls were still hot and crispy. Thai green tea had so spills and was perfect!

Belly pork was not crispy and the chocolate bubble tea was really chewy , bubble tea that I’ve had before normally pop but they didn’t maybe it’s different, but not what I expected, food always tastes good and full of flavours. And good portions

I go to Chang Chai every time im in Mildenhall. Sadly the last time i went the service was poor and there were delivery drivers in the restaurant playing games loudly on their mobiles which ruined the atmos. Amazing food though.

The food was excellent quality as per my other visits. Really really nice, however there were delivery people in the restaurant which ruined the atmosphere completely. It actually made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The service was a little slow compared to my last visit and i definitely felt it had lost the warmness experienced previously

I ate here one time and the food is excellent, but I cannot recommend the ice shake coffees enough! Forget Costa and get coffee here instead 😋

The order was late, although I wouldn't fault the store for it; for some reason, the address I put for my order and the zip code was different than what the store got. As a result, they delivered it to the wrong house. I called, and the issue was solved, and I got my order sometime later.
