Came to watch the euros with a mate before going travelling. Decided to grab a burger and chips in between games and it was decent! Not too expensive either. Massive screens for the footy too.

Me and my brother called in here on New Year's Eve. We went to the bar to order our drinks, seperately. My brother ordered his, a San Miguel lager, with the female employee. The male emoloyee with blonde hair asked me what I'd like, I said a San Miguel please, he said 2 San Miguels? I said no, we are ordering and paying for them seperately. His colleague tried to explain this to him. He lied and said I asked for "2 San Miguels", which I never did, he was out to cause an argument, when I, a customer, came to the bar and said, "can I have a San Miguel please?", nothing else. His colleague seemed embarrassed about his behaviour and I cannot blame her, it was strange and rude. He said "£4.xxx", no please, so I asked him what the magic word was, he had never heard of please when I explained it to him. Are you seriously telling me you don't know why people say please and thank you and you work in customer service? What kind of training do these people have? He was the one "from Rotherham" apparently, they ought to learn some manners in Rotherham, if that is the case. We took our drink to the table and tried to use the pool table, bear in mind that this place classes its self as a 'sports bar'. The first table we tried, the coin was flying out as we put it in - useless. The second one, we managed to release the balls but then discovered that all of the pool cues, except for one, were broken and had the ends falling off/ fallen off. This is in a 'sports bar'. Well, with the attitude of the staff member at the bar, there was no point in mentioning it, as the nonchalant, rude and obvlivious attitude of the staff member (the blonde male, NOT the female) suggested they would not care nor help. Then, the one remaining cue had the end fall off! The picture on the wall had half of the glass smashed off, the stool was floppy and wobbling backwards. The atmosphere was comparible to that of a morgue. The abysmal service and broken pool tables (both didn't work right), offered a poor and miserable impression. If I spoke to a customer the way this man spoke to me, and tried to cause an argument for no reason, when I used to work in a bar, I'd have been issued a P45 before I could say "where is my coat?". The only positive was the female employee who tried to stop her colleague from being so rude, and as I said, seemed embarrassed at his behaviour. There is nothing 'champion' about this bar, it is grim and broken.

Food was terrible chicken wings were inedible so dry disgusting. The staff were told and did nothing. One of the burgers was burnt to a crisp also terrible this was replaced. Family of 4 spent £80 no value whatsoever will never visit again.

So bad. Been here 2 days in a row for lunch from work and I’m never coming back. Sh*t food service, poor quality food and overpriced drinks. Champs used to be a great bar but it’s gone massively downhill over the last few years. The bar staff need way more support from management who are letting them down. Need to get Gordon Ramsay in to sort out the kitchen. Shambles.

The lady behind the bar with the dark tied black hair all dressed in black with a gold necklace was AWFUL. Rolling her eyes. Taking her time. Everything seemed like a problem. This bar with its great selection of drinks and well cooked food is being let down by its staff. What a disgusting representation of hospitality. Second attempt here Never again

Poor food came cold ordered 2 chicken curry no onion bhaji and poppadoms very little curry only positive thing I can say we got a free drink on the house but wouldn't recommend it and we won't be going again

Rude bouncer, not interested in serving people. Wasted a long walk after hearing good reviews but if I were you I wouldn’t bother at all. Much better places on ecclesqll road.

Bit expensive but great venue with plenty of options for watching sport! Good atmosphere and very clean! The drinks were cold and fizzy, we were served quick and the staff were all pleasant and friendly.

We visited yesterday afternoon Saturday 26th September to watch football & enjoy a few drinks. There was only space outside with plenty of social distancing regarding tables only maximum of 6 allowed, hand sanitisation available everywhere. Heaters were available & the service we received was second to non. Huge screen outside & Thanks again to Oliver for ordering us a taxi, much appreciated 👍.

Pero noté que las cosas empeoraron a medida que avanzaba la noche: un miembro del personal no quería estar allí por el aspecto de las cosas y cuando pagamos se volvió hacia nosotros a la mitad de la tarjeta. Una señora nos llevó a nuestra mesa y, a pesar de decir que estaría con nosotros pronto, nos dejaron esperando 10 minutos mientras la veíamos caminar por su teléfono. Después de hartarse, un miembro de mi grupo fue al bar solo para descubrir que había terminado su turno y se fue sin decirle a nadie sobre nuestros pedidos. Esperamos otros 5 minutos antes de que llegara un caballero para tomar nuestro pedido. Sus modales eran horribles y realmente no le importaba nuestra costumbre, tomó nuestro pedido en su computadora y luego fue a charlar a una mesa de mujeres jóvenes durante diez minutos mientras nuestras bebidas no habían llegado y otra mesa también había estado esperando.Lo único bueno fue la señorita que nos trajo nuestras bebidas. ¡Realmente estaba tratando de disculparse por cosas que no eran su culpa y eran realmente encantadoras!En general. . . ¡No lo recomendaría en absoluto! ! Popped in purely by chance just after lunch. Met and served by two delightful young people named Tibble and Caitlin who instantly made me feel relaxed and at ease by their approach and friendly chat and approach. Will pop back for a bite to eat.

We got in this bar and there was a lot of people in. Staff where under pressure but coped very well. Didn’t take long to get served and the food came out in good time. Only had a burger and chips which was very good. If I’m in Sheffield again I will use this place again.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting gourmet dining. Went to watch the football with my son and thought would enjoy a beer and burger or similar whilst doing so. Sloppy nachos as a share - the "sloppy" was cold but we persevered. A shortage of chicken burger led us to ordering a chicken platter and a jerk chicken flatbread (no chicken for that so went with steak). Chicken platter was colourless and dry but it was the flatbread that was a masterclass in inedible food. Who serves a skewer of steak interspersed with chunky slices of raw courgette and Red onion? I can only think they didn't get he memo to grill the courgette or worse mistook it for cucumber! The cooks here clearly do not taste the food - very wise!

Llegué temprano para ver al footy como un gran grupo de muchachos y bebí allí todo el día y la noche fue atendido sin parar por un miembro del personal magnífico llamado Jess que se puso en pie desde el momento en que llegamos hasta tarde en el Por la noche, hizo que el bar fuera animado y divertido, y siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro (que ninguno de los otros empleados podía manejar), independientemente de los miles de personas que se agolpaban alrededor del bar quejándose de los tiempos de espera para las bebidas. Le compré un trago o dos porque muy bien merecidos campeones muy bien hechos y Jess especialmente continúa con el buen trabajo chicos! ! :)

Entró como un grupo de chicos y chicas hace unos 3 sábados y se sentó en la cabina cerca de la cocina. ¿Podemos decir que tuvimos que escribir una crítica alabando a un miembro del personal que hizo todo lo posible para acomodar a nuestro grupo y hacer que nuestra noche fuera lo más divertida posible? Se llamaba Jess, tiene el pelo rojo brillante y normalmente funciona en el bar, de cualquier forma que quisiéramos, ella también nos sirvió comida. Normalmente en bares como este, he notado que algunos de los otros miembros del personal femenino en los campeones ignoran a las chicas en el bar y solo sirven a los muchachos (Dios sabe por qué), pero nada de esto con Jess fue genial, incluso nos recomendó tiros, ya que eran mis compañeros bday ¡Buen trabajo! : ) ¡volveré!

Went on Saturday 14th Sept before Blades v Southampton In general it was chaoticPoorly prepared staff doing their best but struggling with the systems and the kitchen was turning out non satisfactory food that was being sent back.I ordered a brunch breakfast which took about 30 minutes to come.In the order I had Tea but there was no milk so I had to have it blackHow can a bar like this have no milk??And I asked for an extra teabag as I like it strong and they charged me £2 as if it was another tea£2 for a teabag!!The toast was served on the main plate as there were no side plates A minor point perhaps but they brought a serving dish which I suppose was better than nothing.The food was cold not just luke warm but fridge cold.I took it back to the serving hatch where the main waiter wasHe tasted it and immediately asked the chef to redo the order To be fair they recooked it to perfection and topped up my tea as well.Second time round it was worth 5 stars first half 1I know that this has changed ownership so might be teething problems but someone needs to get a grip on the organisation and staffing It could be great as the TVs etc are brilliant I’ll give it another go

Second time this season for a 2nd chance but sadly not delivered. The place looks great just bar service is so slow. Food ordered but not arrived, chased and was told no table number been ready ages....strange response when you can't order and PAY without a table number.... Next was told flat bed out so try something else blah blah, now stuck for time took their offer. 2 plates were okay, my chicken would have repaired my sole of my shoe well!! For refund etc, told to come back after the game .... It's easier than that, just won't go back, problem solved. Shame as a good location, pre the makeover it was fine on service but now.....

Wow, arrived at 10.50pm on a Friday, the place was empty and we were told they had stopped serving. Doesn’t sound like a sports bar to me.

While champs seems like the big players on Ecclesall road - there is a little known number shortly down the road which while not being bigger in size - IS bigger on atmosphere. While attending this establishment I saw the staff to be rude and the drinks and food to be overpriced. As for playing love island in a sports bar - as a sports man this did not sit well.

Let me first start by saying I don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves it.

What a shame that such a great place for sporting events is always let down by horrendous service. Doesn’t matter whether it is busy or quiet, it takes forever to get served. Behind the bar looks a total mess and health hazard. The staff have no pace, enthusiasm or even a smile. There appears to be no leadership or direction from any management. Half the staff look doped up. It needs a proper manager and a serious kick up the backside. No point throwing good money at providing a great venue, if you can’t back it up with the basics.

I went here a few days ago with some friends after reading the menu outside said gluten free options available - it even said gluten free buns available on request. I sat down and read the menu which had no information about what was gluten free or not. I went up to the bar to speak to the lady who told me I need to go onto their website on my phone and scan the QR code.. - what?! With not the best internet it took me forever to get onto their website which was ridiculous in the first place, how hard is it to just have a separate menu or be given a book with the information?

It's really hit and miss here now since the refurbishment. It is such a shame, they have made the interior look much better but the service, food and ethos of the bar has vanished

I visited Champs a few times last month (mainly because the chicken strips are thee best I’ve ever tasted - REAL TALK). I found the staff friendly and helpful and there was a good vibe in the bar with lots to do. After the football stopped they intergrated a dj who played some absolute bangers and the atmosphere maintained. I will be going back for sure. Keep up the good work.

Used to go there in old place about 20 years ago but this time was awful, ask for a burger ,had a burger on top of a piece of bread ,was cold,no taste ,chips were burn,and no service at all,will never go back to have a meal again ,the tray they used to put my burger was made from metal and was rusty

Food is okay but not really that good for the price you pay. They run out of beer a lot and if you are Aviva staff make sure you tell them 100 times and show your badge as many times too or you can forget your discount! Not really been back since as my friend was interrogated about if she really worked for Aviva even though she showed her badge and was even charged full price after. If prices were lowered or if the food quality improved I think it would get a better rating. Food good but defiantly not worth what you pay.

Mi compañero y yo fuimos a almorzar hoy y pedimos dos hamburguesas y una porción de papas fritas grandes. La comida tardó más de media hora en llegar, incluso cuando solo estábamos nosotros y otra pareja en todo el pub. Las papas fritas eran solo tibias, y la hamburguesa de mi compañero fue que quemada era negra. Fue duro como una roca. Logró unos cuantos bocados y luego no pudo comer más. Nos quejamos con el miembro del personal que estaba esperando en nuestra mesa, solo para que nos dijeran que "no sabía qué hacer al respecto". Desapareció en la cocina, solo para regresar e informarnos de que, como había "comido la mayor parte", se arrepintió de darnos un reembolso. Luego se dirigió a la parte posterior del bar para reírse y bromear con el miembro del bar y el "chef" frente a nosotros.

Rob was very friendly and helpful at the bar, he engaged with us while we were deciding what we wanted to drink. He gave us good information about pool and other games that they had. Overall a funny man who made us feel at ease!

Six pound for ‘dirty cheese and onion fries’ a small portion of fries with a tiny drizzle of cheese sauce. Absolutely disgusting!

Champs ha sido renovado recientemente, su interior es encantador ahora, definitivamente una mejora. Tienen un juego de tejo también para una muy buena relación calidad-precio, que es lo que obtuvo esta revisión la estrella adicional. Sin embargo, el servicio es absolutamente SHOCKING. Era una tranquila tarde de viernes, no había mucha gente en el bar, ¡pero tardaron 20 minutos en servirse para tomar una copa! ! ! ! ! Terrible service. Stood there 20 minutes, did not get served, and there were customers awaiting longer than me. So football is definitely free, as you don't get a chance to buy anything. It wasn't even busy for a Saturday night.

Situado en la calle Eccy, a solo 5 minutos en taxi de la estación de tren de Sheffield. No comí aquí pero la comida se veía bien. Un montón de pantallas que muestran todos los deportes, un par de mesas de billar escondidas en la esquina también. 2 gorilas que controlan los números el sábado por la noche significaron que no hubo grandes colas en el bar. Me imagino que esto se vuelve más ocupado a medida que avanza la noche.

No words to explain.. one plate means sharing plate for two.. Good quantity of food for price.. Great atmosphere, we visited there for a farewell party for a friend.. Great time there, loved it.

Fui con un pequeño grupo del trabajo para almorzar. Está muy cerca de la oficina, por lo que tiene un gran factor de conveniencia. Lo que definitivamente es mejor que el Wetherspoons (The Sheaf View) justo al final de la carretera, sin ser mucho más caro. Lo que no es es grandioso en sí mismo. Hay un menú de los sospechosos habituales para un pub de rango medio: hamburguesas, wraps, etc. Y la comida sale razonablemente rápido (barra un plato olvidado). Es perfectamente comestible, pero no está lo suficientemente bueno como para hacerme disfrutar volviendo. Volveré (ver mi punto inicial acerca de que está muy cerca del trabajo), pero nunca me sorprenderá. Por otro lado, llevan una cerveza un poco más interesante, por lo general, Bradfield está encendido. Sin embargo, si tengo tiempo, prefiero ir al Stag's Head, a solo unos minutos de distancia.

Me encanta champs aunque sólo he sido un mango completo de veces. Uno de los pocos lugares de la horrible, no tenían porteros las bebidas son bastante baratos, especialmente para los estudiantes. El bar en sí es genial para ver los grandes juegos, vinieron a ver la copa fa y a pesar del resultado me gustó estar allí. Las mesas de afuera es enorme, así que había espacio para fumadores. Los baños están un poco desalentador pero no voy para los baños. No he probado la comida, pero todo el mundo parecía satisfecho con ella. Muy corto para el resto de la carretera o un tamaño eccy paseo/taxi en la calle oeste y más allá.

Visitamos en la oportunidad, y me sorprendió gratamente. Amplio aparcamiento desde el sistema de dirección. Muy buenas porciones de comida rápida 'bien preparado con hamburguesas y bistecs como la principal fuente de alimentos. Los precios eran también razonable. Incluso tienes dos galletas con un café! Imagino que es un lugar muy concurrido durante el fútbol en directo con un montón de TV para ver la acción en vivo.

Ofrece una buena variedad de alimentos para los precios mínimo bastante. Es un ambiente muy acogedor que es especialmente adecuado para los amantes de los deportes. Un ejemplo de ello es el gran número de televisores ubicados alrededor del bar y restaurante. Poder comer buena comida viendo el fútbol es muy bonito. El bar también está situado en una zona ideal en Sheffield y se puede acceder fácilmente.

La comida es genial, con mucha variedad de sitios para sentarse, dependiendo de la atmósfera que buscas, o que estás con. Todas con pantallas para ver el deporte adaptado. ¡Fantástico!

Cuando nos visite aquí acabamos de conseguir una hamburguesa cada partícipe patatas fritas y nachos. La comida es simplemente su comida de pub estándar que es decente, si eso es lo que buscar. Un ambiente realmente relajado con un personal encantador. También tiene un buen bar para ir y jugar en la piscina con unas copas.

Regularmente con amigos a ver el fútbol y tomar unas copas y siempre hemos sido impresionados. Sin embargo, en mi última visita me decidí a pedir comida. Pedí el tocino y queso hamburguesa. Que perdimos en algún lugar (lo más probable es que sea un error sincero) y cuando me plantearon el tema con personal una nueva llegó en 10 minutos sin embargo estaba frío y todo en la hamburguesa fue quemada (incluso el pan estaba seco y tostado). Sin duda no vale la pena la hora de espera, me quedaré con bebidas a partir de ahora, creo.

Fuimos a ver el partido de rugby de Inglaterra v italia y el hombre u juego de fútbol v Southampton. El lugar estaba a tope! Nos las arreglamos para conseguir una mesa para los 4 donde podíamos ver un montón de pantallas (hay un montón...

Decidimos visitar este lugar para disfrutar de las 6 naciones de rugby. Gran ambiente y dieron un asiento demasiado (extra). Pruebe sus pizzas en casa son algunos de los mejores y soy una persona pizza con la comida. ! ! 😊 pruébalo, no te defraudará.

Had an ace burger here in the past..cheap and cheerful do not go with high expectations. TVs all around so great if you wanna eat/drink/watch football, weather spoons style food...can't complain, will return.

Visited on the weekend the Steaks were ok but the handmade burgers were tiny, my friend called them 10p coin burgers that's how big they were & very char grilled black. When you have Uncle Sam's and Yankees around the corner you'd think the basic burger would be worth buying. Champs used to be great burgers but not this time, hope your new Chef takes note.

I went on what seemed to be a very quiet night and there were three staff on, however after they served my drink they all went to the end of the bar and were just chatting. I did not feel that welcome nor able to ask the questions that I wanted, although I did persist. I had a burger and which was reasonable but nothing exceptional.

Really vibrant sports bar with reasonably priced drinks and food .Atmosphere was exceptionally good and the place was clean and tidy .Well recommended.

Popped into Champs at around 12.30 for some lunch with a few friends. Lovely atmosphere with a nice ambience and decor. Ordered the nachos to start along with a tuna mayonnaise sub with sweet potato fries coming to a total of £11 (this is with the 25% student discount the offer)Such a large dish for the price which was tasty with quick service. (If I was being really picky I would have liked the tuna with less brine but thats just my preference.)I would definitely recommend going here if you are wishing for a chilled relaxed atmosphereStaff really friendly and service was definitely served with a smile. Heard about a pub quiz every Monday which is meant to be good too however I have never attended.

Thought we pop down to watch the match and wish didn't bother my partner ordered the chicken blt wrap and I ended up ordering the steak panini got told be 45 minutes which I was surprised as pub wasn't full. 30 minutes later are food came and my panini was burnt and was stone cold (how do you manage that) and my partner was cold as well. We thought we take our business else where only reason it not a one star as had good experience other times just think they let the standards dropped.

If you don't like sports bars don't go you will be very bored. Was a bit mucky, mostly men was a much better pub when it was the Pomona.

Visited with a friend of mine for a couple of pints but left after the first drink. The place was full of very drunk people who were getting aggressive.The quality of service and prices were OK.

Went in the bar yesterday, being a real ale drinker I saw 2 real ales, one called Champs bitter, which I had a taste, it was terrible to which I told the barman, then I had a pint of Blondie hand pulled, having had it in other premises, but this beer was terrible also, so won't be going back.So real ale drinkers beware. !

Visited a supplier company, who took me to lunch at Champs. I used to live around here and alway knew this place as the Pomona a routine sort of place. Since my last visit, which must have been 15 years or so ago, its now changed to Champs. Fairly typical of this sort of place with sporting pictures and TV's with Sky sports on. The menu is fairly typical with burgers and items from the grill. I chose the Gammon steak which was nicely cooked and not too salt. Server with chips and a selection of other sides it was really nice. A great change from the usual sandwiches so often served in these days of belt tightening. The atmosphere was good although the music was a little loud for discussing business. Still very nice and and worth a visit.

was here last week for a drink with my family very clean was served by a very attractive tall girl who was charming did not eat on this occasion but have in the past with no problems

Champs was one of the best places in Sheffield to drink and since moving to its new location is very very poor. I use to go here weekly and now I will not return. The cliental had gone down hill and it's now has the feel of a cheap bar.That is all.

Champs!! On walking in the place it looks great comfortable booths, modern and sleek and good compromise with the other half (he gets to watch the footy, yet we are still out together ) in what looks like a great bar and grillMenu fine it is exactly what you would expect on a bar and grill menu, service good no huge wait for a very busy place, however the food let the place down big style!!!!!bland, dry and tasteless.A real shame as the place is done out nice the staff are great and the place is clean,they just need to step up the food standard!!!!Don't think it will effect the trade though as it is totally set for the sports fanatic (don't think my other half would have noticed even if they gave him the totally wrong order for all the screens)

Visited on a very noisy and busy Friday night and to be honest wasn't expecting much. How wrong I was. Great burger, good chips and the best onion rings I've had in a while. Excellent value as we had a Groupon voucher. Apart from the noise, couldn't fault the place.

I go to uni in sheffield and have been here for drinks before not food.We had the mozzarella sticks to start and then ribs and wings combo and extra onion rings as a main - the ribs were something to remember! Super super tasty! The wings were okay but not a scratch on the ribs - the chips were so salty they were inedible! I love salt but they were like eating bars of salt and the onion rings needed more salt or something - VERY plain, no seasoning at all.Good value - only £15 for a ton of meat and food. Would go here again - very relaxed atmosphere for a casual meal!

My son decided on Champs to go out for a last meal before he returned to Uni in Newcastle, He decided on thechicken strips starter whilst my wife and I shared a plate of Nachos,. The chicken strips were ok without being remarkable. The Nachos came in a massive bowl with lads of cheese , guacamole and sour cream , a small bowl of Chilli which was surprisingly good. Nick decided on a full rack of ribs with 20 wings, yes 20. I went for half rack and 10 wings. But my wife misheard me and ordered me the same as Nick. Big mistake, they never seemed to end and we ended up bringing 15 home with us in a doggy bag, we had he hot sauce on the wings which was alright but a bit vinegarry. My wife had a full rack of ribs which she felt were ok but nowhere near as good as Damons. Not a bad meal for pub food but let down a bit as it was cold in there

Go for lunch quite often when the cricket is on to watch and eat, staff always ok and to put the cricket on, but rarely put the commentary on which is a little disappointing for a Sports bar. The food is decent, served quickly and fresh cooked, nothing 'special' so to speak but from a sports bar wouldn't expect it to be! Food perhaps on the slightly expensive side for what it is, though the regular offers they have on are always good. Drinks seem on the more expensive side too, but then everywhere seems on the expensive side now so whatta you going to do!

Went last Saturday night just for a drink and enjoyed it, place was busy with both couples, groups and families. Lots of tv's everywhere showing all types of sports (mainly football) so it is loud, but what pub isn't!?

My partner is a huge sports fan and we made the terrible mistake of coming here to watch the football.The food was microwaved and chewy, the drinks were overpriced and the service was dreadful.A real shame as the building itself is clean and offers many comfy booths to watch sport. A real let down.

We came here for drinks and to watch some sport. The venue was nice and clean. The service was good. Overall, I'd say that it's a good place to come and watch a match if you want some atmosphere.

A very sports-based venue with big screens all over and smaller screens as well (even outside) meaning you can watch whatever takes your fancy as all different sports shown simultaneously. Good spacious seating areas at both the front and the rear, big spacious place inside as well. Drinks selection good, food menu not extensive but more than adequate - we had the sharing nachos and got a big plateful. Bit too much sauce for our liking but the chilli was delicious. Numerous interesting sports memorabilia items on the walls that have been brought from the old premises further up Ecclesall Road. Would suggest more staff would be helpful though as service slow at times. Good all round venue - we shall return.

The burgers here are great, you can choose up to 3 toppings and the staff were friendly and efficient It's also a great place to meet friends and watch the football, a fabulous atmosphere and a large choice of beers, including our local Thornbridge ale.

Me and the mrs went here for something to eat as we were in the area and fancied a create your own burger but didn't fancy the usual fast good type stuff..I had heard that the good here was good so we decided to try it and we were not disappointed..The good was gorgeous and cooked to perfection.. The staff were friendly and the service was quick..I would recommend this place to everyone..Lovely food and lovely dining experience..We will be back

Came here on lunch time, we were immediately greated by the staff and made welcome. Food was cooked fresh to order and the portions were big, we ordered burger with 2 toppings and 2 cocktails. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again.

First time been to new champs since it moved premises. Very disappointed, not even close to being as nice as it used to be. The new building is fine but the quality of food as took a serious nose dive. Such a shame as it used to be fantastic. From a great restaurant with quality food it is now an average pub with very average pub food

Was really impressed. First visit, food was tasty and excellent value. Service very good. Recommended it to my daughter who has since been with her boyfriend and enjoyed it. They went in the evening very busy but excellent service.

We went two weeks ago for beer and burgers. The burgers were delish and the portion size was great. The waitress who looked after us was lovely, very friendly, polite and attentive. Would definatley recommend.

Me and my girlfriend went to this bar for a meal.We had burger each with side salad, fries and any three toppings.We really loved the food and the portion sizes were great, You won't go home hungry, the drinks are good value as well, Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I went for lunch the meal was such value for money was cooked and presented to a high standard and was really enjoyable to be severed by some very polite and helpful staff .would definitely recommend champs to everyone. Thanks again.

Visited Champs in March with a friend for a Living Social Deal. The service was excellent, a better table became available and the waitress quickly cleared and prepared it for us. The burger was excellent with a variety of toppings to choose from as well as ample side dishes and a drink. We were both impressed with the meal and excellent value. We will certainly visit again.

Cannot fault at all my visit to champs on a busy Friday night. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was great. And atmosphere was fab! Value for money. Just an overall enjoyable experience. Thanks champs : )

My partner and I decided to go to Champs today to watch the Man Utd vs Liverpool match. We thought we would go early and get a table and some food before the match. Its the first time we've been since Champs moved after going on several occasions to the old one. We got a table no problem and decided what we wanted to eat. The menu has changed and is poor in comparison to the old one. Much less choice and none of my old favourites such as the burritos, enchiladas and chimichanga. The first problem was that they only served instant coffee and as I don't drink soft drinks and was driving this or water was my only option. I decided to just go with it only to be told I couldn't have a coffee as they did not have enough staff to boil the kettle! So water it is then!When my fajitas arrived I asked where the sour cream was only to be told that they didn't have any but hadn't bothered to tell the people taking the orders this. The waitress apologised and asked if I would like some mayo instead. Not quite the same thing though are they. The food was ok, nothing special considering it cost £10. Just as I had almost finished the waitress came back with some sour cream and said they had been out and got some. Great service, if only I'd been told this was happening and I hadn't eaten the whole meal. I'm hardly going to sit and eat a load of sour cream on its own.All in all a thoroughly unimpressed previously loyal customer who won't be bothering to come back again.

If you enjoy sport, look no further, this is the place. You can watch it all around and will always get a good view. Good fast food available and drinks are pub priced not a rip off.

This bar was exactly as expected, a typical city bar, cosmopolitan, buzzing (even at 5pm), great food, good drinks and a fab atmosphere.We ate here on a livingsocial deal, a burger and a drink. Exceptional service and lovely food. Loved all the sports memrobelia!If your looking for al a carte this is not the place for you, but foe beer and a burger for less then a tenner (even at full price) you won't go wrong here :)

I visited here on New Year's Eve with friends, this was the first time i'd ever been to sheffield and i was greeted by cheerful members of staff. I placed my order and received my food within a reasonable time. I was well pleased with my meal, and it was very filling for a relatively cheap price!

Having lived in Sheffield all my life I was a regular of the original Champs for many years and was a little reluctant to try out the new site. However being an avid cricket fan Champs was the only choice to watch the Ashes series. The staff were only too happy to change the music in one area to the commentary so we could fully enjoy the experience. This resulted in quite a few people who did not know each other sitting at the same table chatting away...FANTASTIC. The selection of beers is great ranging from European lagers to local real ales. The menu is extensive and really well priced! Having been in Champs several days on the Trott (cricket pun intended) I sampled quite a few dishes including "The Italian Smoke" Burger, Beef Fajitas and Rib-Eye steak all were really tasty and promptly delivered to the table. Sport and food fans this is definately the place to be. Cheers Champs!!

Went in there a few weeks ago with a group of friends expecting the average bar food you get from other pubs however I was pleasantly surprised at the range and the quality of the food, I had the new summer special the piri piri chicken wrap which was really nice! Was served at the bar really quickly by a very pleasant bartender and within 5 minutes I was eating my lunch, which by the way was delicious, all in all a great bar been back there many times now for various sporting events and the service and feel of the place has always been top notch, would highly recomend!
