The best Chinese takeaway in the area staff always helpful and friendly, never disappointed. After trying different items on the menu I can honestly say that each time the food has been very tasty.

Havent been to champagne chinese takeaway verwood for a couple of years due to ill health Really fancied a takeaway tonight so went to champagne . Absolutely perfect wonderful food hot quick lovely staff 6 mins back in car thankyou so much. I was pleased that Ben and Sue still own it and i have to say it was as good today as the day they opened chinese food at its best

This is my local Chinese and is always to a good standard, best smoked chicken compared to any in takeaways in Bournemouth. Only frustrating thing, I am against a cashless society, and boycott card only businesses, but since the Lloyd’s cash machine opposite is no longer there, and they do physically have a card machine in there, it’s inconvenient when you are unable to get cash out of the only other cash point on route and they request cash only it shouldn’t be hard work to get your favourite take out but the fact they don’t deliver and ask for cash only are it’s only downfall. We do live in an area with a large elderly population and they are missing out in custom from the elderly not in walking distance and without vehicle ability!

Moved into the area recently and thought as this is the only chinese within quite a few miles and a little bit rural it wouldn’t be great. Could not have been more wrong. This place was so surprisingly good. Chicken is succulent, fresh and in good portions. Beef is brilliant. Rice and side dishes extremely authentic. This place is one of the best Chinese’s take away I’ve ever visited. Absolutely top rated and highly recommended. Never had a bad take away here.

Very good service was ready when said got four meals as ordered Had Sweet and Sour chicken & Prawn balls, Champagne rice, chicken curry, chicken cashew great quality huge meat cuts well worth it definitely use again

Have used champagne a few times as choice of takeaway is limited in this area. We have always been quite impressed. Tonight, granted a Saturday so popular and busy time for takeaway, I phoned to place my order. The man advised a wait time of around a an hour I said that’s fine no problem. He told me the time to turn up for collection. I arrived promptly, a little before the time given incase it was ready early and sitting there. Paid for my order and he checked out the back and said it shouldn’t be long. Honestly I think perhaps they started cooking it then..? I sat and waited for 20 minutes, many many customers came and went with their food, granted they probably ordered just as long ago as I did, but when my order was ready there was no acknowledgement of it being 20 mins past the time stated, to be honest I was kind of hoping for some prawn crackers thrown in or something.. We do rate the food very highly, it’s really tasty. Just a little disappointed this time around. Was perfectly happy to wait the time stated on the phone as we understand Saturdays are busy, however it did end up being a total of an hour and 25mins after I placed the order with no “sorry for the wait” Recommend the food, just be prepared to sit in the lobby for a good while at peak times.

We were reluctant to try food for here because of the bad reviews but we really fancied a Chinese and this is the nearest so we gave it a go. We are really glad we did. The food was hot, plentiful and delicious, ready when they said it would be and we shall definitely order food from here again.

Similar to others, I was a bit hesitant ordering from Champagne based on other reviews. Decided to go ahead and give it a chance as we were staying nearby. I was really pleasantly surprised! The menu states they use minimal amounts of sugar, salt and MSG, which explains why people think it’s bland. I didn’t think it was bland. The chow mien was FRESH and tasty. The chicken in both dishes was of good quality, and NOT that horrible over processed chicken you get at some places. For me, these two points make it a winner! I’ve been trying to find a Chinese that uses less or no MSG for ages! Didn’t think they existed. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because it is really expensive. So it’s definitely a treat takeaway!!

Was a hit hesitant after reading some of the reviews left, was staying locally at the Camping and Caravanning site and decided to have a bash. Meal A, it was excellent, piping hot and very good value, would certainly reccommend.

I had my first takeaway from Champagne on Friday 27th August. I had been so wary because of some really bad reviews but it was the best Chinese takeaway I & my son, daughter in law & Grandson have had. I would recommend Champagne 👍

We lived Champange Chinese, but the last two times we’ve had a meal, it hasn’t been great, the chicken satay has become more watery, and the other dishes a bit tasteless 🤷‍♂️ have they changed chefs???

Food was ok from here, nothing special. What is odd is that they refuse payment by card unless over £25. In times of COVID it is the opposite of other retailers. Only one reason you want a cash business in my eyes!!!

Sorry to say the food was tasteless good service but whats the point when the food is awful , Wont be going back.

We have used Champagne a few times now and have been really pleased with it every time. Friendly and efficient service. All dishes have good flavour, quantities of meat good, really tasty and generous sized portions too.

Just had a excellent takeaway for 5 people and absolutely no complaints, every dish was delicious - from the squid to the Duck - loved it!

Well I don’t know where those negative views are coming from. We’ve recently been using Champagne and all meals so far have been superb! They do the best chilli beef strips ever. The service is great and friendly too and meals are ready very quickly too, never have to wait long. I won’t use anywhere else now.

Dry overcooked food , worst I’ve ever had avoid at all costs, I waited for Mine to be cooked fresh and it was still not hot !!

This was the worst Chinese I have ever tasted in my life. Dinner for a family of 6 ruined and chucked in the bin. I will never return.

They have reopened recently. The food was bland and not hot enough. Ridiculous debit card limit of £20, at a time when no one is using cash. Too expensive.

After moving up from Cornwall, I really struggled to find a Chinese Restaurant that I really loved as much as my local in Cornwall.. Tonight I’ve found it.. Over the moon with our takeaway.. Special Chow Mein, Sweet n Sour Chicken Balls, Beef n Onions and Champagne Chow Mein were beyond delicious.. Had Banana Fritters for desert (with a bit of vanilla ice cream from our freezer).. Never liked them before but these are amazing.. The batter was light and fluffy, cooked right through and the syrup was tasty.. Ordered at 5pm and ready by the time we got there 15 mins later.. Freshly cooked and friendly service.. Definitely worth that extra travel.. Spot on!!

We were visiting England to attend a funeral. We wanted a simple take away meal and following a search with Trip Advisor we found Champagne who gave us a superb meal

We went here for the first time for a family takeaway. The special house rice consisted mainly of plain boiled rice and little flavour. The whole meal to be honest lacked any form of flavour. Found the cost very high for what we had. The following day some of us suffered very poorly tummies. Will not use this take away again. Very disappointing.

This was one of the blandest Chinese takeaway meals we've had, ever, probably. Generally I'd prefer to make my own with the help of Ken Hom et al or go to a decent restaurant, so am always a little wary of the takeaway option. There are decent ones out there though, and this one did not seem to be among them. Hopefully just an off day, but the vegetables were mostly over cooked and had little crunch and the sauces were almost tasteless, with just a lot of thickener.For four of us to order a meal (a little more than we actually needed) it was £63; so not inexpensive either.The staff were friendly and the chicken balls were crispy and not too 'battery', so not all was lost.

Difficult to find particularly as the post code took us to the middle of nowhere, fortunately daughter could talk us through it on phone, food very good and very reasonable. Certainly eat there again.

We have lived in Verwood for years and have never ordered from here due to not brilliant word of mouth reviews ........Tonight we thought we would give it a go and we were really impressed !!! We will definitely order again without hesitation !!! Big portions, very tasty dishes, lovely quality ingredients. Very happy with a lovely meal and now rather full.

My son and grandson were visiting from Australia and they fancied a Chinese takeaway. I live in Verwood and last used Champagne about 5 years ago.

This is a takeaway. The previous owners did not have a good reputation but since it changed hands the quality of the food, the speed of provision and the efficient staff mean it is now first choice for many Verwoodians!

After a four hour drive to Verwood, I did not fancy cooking and so had a Chinese take away. Very tasty and hit the spot.

I have used Champagne take away for over 15 years and it has always been excellent - until tonight. I had my usual Special Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein. There was nothing "special" about the rice, just like plaI in fried rice actually and there was far too much salt in the whole meal which ruined it. Very disappointed for the price paid.

We went to Champagne as it is the only Chinese take away in town. Flavour lacking on most dishes. A very mediocre takeaway. Verwood needs at least two decent Chinese takeaways.

Always go here for convenience to be honest but it's a good Chinese and you can't fault them always cooked properly and there not tight on the portions either! Would always recommend to a friend!! Ribs are probably the best thing about this place

No esperábamos mucho, pero nos quedamos muy agradablemente sorprendidos. Pedimos crujientes, algas, rollitos de primavera vegetarianos, anacardo en estilo vegetariano, carne de alubias negras, arroz frito y tallarines. Todo estaba muy sabroso y mi compañero dijo que su carne de alubias negras era agradable. Lo que mejoraría sería para añadir mas opciones vegetarianas - quizás el tofu, etc.

We use champagne often as it's local and is always consistentI couldn't say it's overly exciting but I have never had a bad meal, the food is always fresh and hotThe prices are quite high but that's normal for this area so they probably come out about averageThe staff can sometimes seem like they are not happy how they are treated by the managers which always worries me but that's a different fish to fry, they're always polite They don't take cards anymore and make you go to the cash point so come prepared The place is very clean in the waiting area (obviously I haven't visited the kitchen so can't comment on that)Happy to keep visiting

We had a takeaway for 4, lovely food! I had the garlic salt chilli prawns and they were amazing! Very quick service with a smile, definitely a place to use again.

I cant say it wasnt good, it was just Ok i think all our pallets are different & i think this just lacked flavor for me i had a 1/4 crispy Duck ( Panackes werent good) the Duck was OK. & A Chicken with chestnuts etc just a bit bland . Sorry , maybe i will try something else another time

I used to live in verwood and this used to be my regular Chinese and then I moved to Bournemouth so it's too far to travel to come to regularly now sadly. We were in the area recently tho and so treated ourselves to a take away from here and it is still the best Chinese that I have come across and I am very fussy! The food is still as amazing as I remember! I have seen some reviews that say it's expensive etc and it may be a little more pricey than some, but hardly extortionate and in my option you are paying for quality! If you want a cheap crappy Chinese then that's your choice but personally I would rather pay a bit more and have exceptional food. Staff are always really friendly too and will remember you. Definately worth a visit if you haven't been before!

Having just moved to the area recently we were concerned about some of the negative reviews at our nearest takeaway. I have to say we've now had about 4 takeaways from here over the last couple of months and all have been tasty, hot and quickly prepared. It'll never be possible to please all the people all of the time but this is almost as good the takeaway we left behind when we moved - and that was pretty special!

The quality of food at Champagne is exceptional and the quantitys you receive are belly bloating; however this establishment seriously let's itself down with its shameful prices and the lack of a delivery service, which would certainly bump up the volume of customers as your paying for the convience of this service.

Has got better, food is fabulous!! Great!! However, prices have gone though the roof which lets it down.If prices were lowered, or dishes much more generous which they are not, it would get 5* and more people would like it! :)

Staying overnight in Verwood tonight before travelling on tomorrow. Just had the best duck in black bean source I've ever eaten. Also my boys loved the smoked chicken.

I could write pages about the poor quality of the cooking and ingredients but I will not bother. It is many years since I have tasted anything as bad as this. Personally I did not find it expensive as others complain. It is AN INSULT TO CHINESE COOKING.

The food here used to be of a good quality, and I would always recommend to friends and family. Since a few years ago it has got worst and worse even to the point that I was nearly sick the last time I eat there. Also for order under £20 you cannot pay by card........

The takeaway has gone down hill in over 15 years we have been using it, the quality of food is not the standard it used to be, the staff and the owners need to go on a customer services course. And I thought that cash only business are things of the past, so the removal of credit/debit card machines must spell two things, either they are going out of business or they are wanting to defraud the tax man.

For £16.30 you get 1x fat and gristle excuse of salt and garlic ribs, 1x reheated "egg fried rice" with nothing egg or fried about it - boiled way before it was reheated, 1x chicken in cashew - reheated rubber chicken bits swimming in a sauce in the hope to reintroduce some sort of flavours.....Fast service, and you will taste and see why...Very over priced and poor quality. The staff can be rude, especially the owner. Gone down hill over the last 7+ years of living in Verwood.

Beef in black bean sauce looked and tasted good as did the 'fluffy egg fried rice' but the prawn balls and sweet and sour sauce had very little taste verging on watery.beef chow mein had enough beef but again bland and quite dry, we do not eat takeaways very often but like to enjoy it when we do and on this occasion we were let down.

Food was below average & a tad expensive, would rather travel a bit further out to get better quality & will be in future

The food here is amazing! I think its excellent prices, money well spent on such good quality food, the people are lovely and the service is very good I wouldn't go anywhere else :)

I've been using Champagnes for over 15years and having tried Chinese takeaways in Cala D'Or, Mudeford and a few other places I cannot fault the quality of food nor the prices. My favourite Chinese is Lemon Chicken with Chicken Fried Rice and unreservedly, Champagnes version is fabulous. 2 whole chicken breasts done in a crispy batter with a tub of tangy lemon sauce...yummy!!

I have been going to champagne for 21 years and always found the food to be exceptional and the owners are always polite and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

This Chinese take away in Verwood is overpriced and poor value for money, against the New City take away in Ringwood that we normally use There was very little sweet and sour sauce on the Hongkong Chicken.The Crispy duck must have been the smallest Duck they could find and was very greasy.We only went to this one in Verwood as the traffic in Ringwood on a Friday night between 5.30pm - 8pm is a nightmare to get back to St.Leonards.It cost £30 for 4 items + Rice.Same meal in New City £25 and superior quality food.Would not recommend this takeaway at all.

The food here is lovely and had always been. But since 2010 the prices have crept up, and up, AND UP... 20 years ago my dad could pay roughly £11 for X2 hot and sour soups and X2 salt and pepper chilli ribs, now this would cost you £29.00 for the same quantity of food. (Now the portions are half the size)The Chinese is very tight the rice is mixed around the the container to make it look like there is more and the ribs is only half as much in the same size container the 20years ago! Avoid this place unless you have the cash to splash!

Very poor, this take away used to be good, it is still owned by the same people however their service has dimished.... Still a minimum of £20 to use a crdedit or debit card.... get with the real world...!!!!!!!!!Worth the trip to Ringwood to get a better quality of Chinese

This takeaway has been getting progressively worse in service and food quality but conversely much more expensive since we moved here in 1998. We don't use it anymore, particularly after not receiving what we ordered and then the female owner not accepting/rectifying the problem.We prefer to drive to Ringwood now and use Lemongrass (for Thai) or Chinatown (for Chinese). Food so much better, cheaper and staff so much more friendly.A shame as Verwood needs a good Chinese takeaway and this place simply isn't!

The food is adequate and the sweet and sour chicken balls are top notch however it is extremely over priced, not good value for money and the service is terrible for a take away, you have to wait ages for your food and lacks atmosphere and charisma however the tv on the wall is good if you like coronation street!!!

The food is not bad at all, I am fussy and I know a good Chinese. This isn't the greatest in the world but by no means the worst. The service isn't great. They don't warn people on the phone that it's cash only on collection for an order under £20. I thought you could use a card anywhere these days!! Appartly not. The cash point is close... But my food was waiting under the counter getting cold. The portions are very small, they don't pack in the rice at all. Curry is 3/4 full. This place isn't cheap and I think they are pushing the boundaries and will loose customers if they don't increase portion size, considering the price!

I see a lot of negative reviews for this place. I know it is personal choice but personally I think that this is a consistently good Chinese takeaway. We use it regularly and we find the food is cooked well, they always get our order right when we phone it through and the staff are always pleasant. The only reason it gets 3 stars from me is that it is very expensive. Apart from that no complaints at all.

Phone answered by an ENGLISH girl who could understand me !!!!! So I thought I would just drive and order food. What a mistake !!! 30 minutes to wait for it,grotty little place,food middle of the road. Service,terrible !!!!

I used to use this take-away a great deal. However would not use again as the quality of food is very poor.Also you order food to be told 15-20 minutes,turn up after 10 minutes to find food bagged up under the counter going cold

Very average Chinese take away, though it does seem overpriced. If there was another establishment in the locality I don't think that we would use this as much as we currently do

Both manager and staff very rude. Order was wrong when collected and wouldn't accpet it was their mistake and wanted EXTRA money for the difference. Having lived in verwood for 20 years, I wouldn't dream of using this so called Chinese again, take my advise and travel to ringwood and go to China town takeaway. A world away in everyway
