Chalet Cafe Kingsland Road in Hackney

Esta fue la segunda comida horrible que tuve esta tarde en Kingsland Road. No creí que te equivocaras con una tortilla, pero me equivoqué. Pedí una tortilla de queso y champiñones que viene con una ensalada. La ensalada se ahogó en crema para ensaladas o algún tipo de crema. Cuando mencioné esto el tipo que servía dijo que lo sentía, pero a mí no me pareció importarle un carajo. No podía saborear el queso en la tortilla que en sí era una textura extraña y tenía un montón de hongos en la sartén. Buena taza de té de menta buena calidad bolsa de té, pero eso fue todo. Dejé la mayor parte de la comida. Tenía hambre y terminé recibiendo un sándwich y una bolsa de patatas fritas en el Tesco de camino.

The food we ordered was awful. Chips were hard, chicken was dry and it was very expensive. I get more for less money elsewhere and they do better service. Not t recommended.

We need to come here more as it’s always a great experience visiting the Chalet Cafe! Fairly priced, delicious breakfasts and yummy smoothies. The main server/owner is really friendly too. See you soon!

Servicio amable y no esperé demasiado, el desayuno era excelente y el macchiato doble era perfecto. Volveremos aquí cuando esté en la zona.

El servicio es terrible y la comida es mediocre servida en grandes porciones con huevos escalfados y papas fritas crudas.

Mi pareja y mi hija han estado en este café un par de veces a lo largo de los años y disfrutamos de la comida y el servicio. Ya no vivimos en el área, pero decidimos tomar un brunch allí hoy. Nos sentamos en una mesa que necesitaba ser limpiada ya que estaba fuera del sol directo. Después de unos 10 minutos de espera para ser atendido. Una mujer de cabello oscuro vino a limpiar la mesa. Parecía enojada y no nos dijo nada. En ningún momento hizo contacto visual, ni siquiera saludó. Le dije a mi pareja que no podía comer allí si esta mujer enojada con mala energía nos iba a servir. Nos levantamos y ella todavía no reconoció que estábamos allí. Terminamos yendo a un restaurante increíble llamado Antepliler en Green Lanes y tuvimos una comida encantadora con un gran servicio. No nos volveríamos a ir a este lugar de nuevo.

I have been having lunches and sometimes breakfasts at this place for four years. Service is great. Value for money once you compare the portions with nearby options. Sometimes they serve daily stews and they are delicious. The salad bar most of the time have more than ten options for you to create your own plate. I can recommend crashed ice illy coffee. This summer they introduced and did a tremendous job with it.

I went there to buy coffee it’s nice place for breakfast and lunch friendly staff great service. You can also sit outside the cafe.

Beetox is not a nice one and they wouldn't change it for me and i only tasted it. Not impressed stick to my originals, food was okay nothing special.

Every morning I'm there for a real italian caffè macchiato. This bar is really close to my work place so it is easy for me to get there. Thanks for the good daily coffe.

Had a lovely meal here. The service was quick and the food was delicious. A great amount of food for the price too!

Have been here twice now for breakfast. Simple food but big on both taste and portion size. The sausage sandwich is fantastic - I love the way that the chef slices then grills the sausages lengthways - no undercooked sausages for me! The staff are pretty efficient and there is a real buzz to the place. If you want to brave the cold and the exhaust fumes of Kingsland Road you also have the option to sit outside. I'm going back for afternoon tea next .....

On a Quiet Sunday, it took 35 minutes to produce a Full English Breakfast. I could have cooked it faster myself! The food, when it arrived, was quite acceptable but not special enough to justify the wait.

We've been coming to this place for over a year now and it's consistently good! I've had (each more than twice): Full English- amazing - it all tastes fresh and done to order, not heated up items cooked earlier that morning Full English Veggie Option- EVEN BETTER! I get a side of bacon because I am not really a vegetarian, but the veggie "sausage" is great Poached Eggs Royal - WOW - great bread, fresh salmon, perfectly done eggs. The outdoor seating is lovely on a Saturday morning for people watching. Go to this cafe!

This place is my go to when I want a catch up with my friends it's friendly, fresh food and nice drinks, service takes long sometimes but they can go only so fast and sometimes you have to specify if you want your melted cheese melted more. There's free wifi for those who need it. The outside seating is great but not when there's too much traffic.

I arrived early for a nearby meeting. After a not very nice commute, I just wanted a quiet break to relax and focus. The cafe was cool and surprisingly quiet. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was tempted to order some food which was generous rather than gourmet, but very welcome nonetheless. I emerged 30 minutes later refreshed and calmed.

We happened upon this place while in the area after having left (due to bad service) a restaurant we had previously booked. Saw this place while walking down the street looking for somewhere to have lunch. GREAT menu, reasonably priced, nice lunch specials (e.g. meal + beer for less than £8), great service, nice desserts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Want a lovely fresh cake or even a nice hot panni or dish like lasagna then the Chalet Cafe is the place to go. Nice wooden tables and lovely staff.
