Slow service, food not the same standard as what I get weekly at Evington Road Leicester branch.

Came here the first time and it felt good, staff is good, enviorment is good, food is superb. Recomended.

For a first visit this place was just superb. And the service we got from Madhu was way beyond what anyone could expect. He walked us through the menu options, explained which items worked well together and looked after us really well. As for the food, really well prepared, very tasty, lots of choice. I can recommend the Karak Coffee as a delicious alternative to the Karak Chai 👍🏻

Tried Chaiiwala in Preston recently- mixed experience. The food was genuinely great! I had the Karachi Bun Kebab and it was massive, flavorful, and really hit the spot. Definitely a winner on the food front. However, the bathroom situation was a major letdown. There’s only one shared toilet for men, women, and disabled guests. It was in poor condition, no soap, tissues all over the floor, and just generally unclean. Not what you’d expect from a busy food spot. Would recommend the food, but I really hope they step up the hygiene and facilities soon. It makes a big difference.

Still a favourite with classics on the menu. Went early so didn't have long to wait for my order. The puri in the halwa puri combo was a little on the crunchy side for me as I was expecting it to be softer. Other than that, it was all good.

Loved the pink chaii tea I ordered here. It had mint leaves and pistachio nuts. It was amazing. I was served pretty fast and could carry on with enjoying my walk today. I had a dog, and as much as they are not dog friendly, they did let me make my order and wait outside for them to bring me my drink. I'm epileptic and didn't feel well on the day I ordered a drink (I have seizures), so the staff did check up on me. The atmosphere is amazing. It's pretty much always clean at chaiiwala, and I don't have to worry about any hygiene issues that many places have. Good job to Chaiiwala workers ♡♡♡

The food is really good, I ordered from them a few times on uber eat. The milk cake is absolutely gorgeous. (Might be a little too pricy for certain stuff tho)

I ordered yesterday and I paid extra for paratha and it was not a paratha it was totally dry so I have to waste it

I ordered a Tikka Biryani through Just Eat for £11. However, what I received was extremely disappointing. The dish consisted of just a thin layer of rice and one very small piece of chicken. In my opinion, the portion and quality were so poor that it wasn’t even worth £3. This was definitely not the value or experience I expected for the price paid

i’ve been a regular customer, previously chai was so good, classic indian chai, but nowadays, the chai tastes like water. quality has significantly degraded.

Yah I am order 1 kark chia lage and two samsa and i am told him i am at work soo quick the charge me after than the asked me wait 15 minutes tha r soo rude than tha asked me i u harry swap your item and I am wating 20 mints just 2 samsa end one chia

Tea range and sandwiches are decent, however, i didnt fancy anything else. They definitely use frozen items like chapati and paratha. No wheelchairs or pram access, and no one comes to help, if you want to get in. If you can manage to get in by yourself, good, otherwise find a different place to unwind.

Decent tea no complaints but the chicken pasty… whys it only half filled? You’re biting into nothing for 75% of it come on :/

Avoid this place. Purri are cooked frozen. You can buy a pack of 20 from any grocerry shop for just £2.99. I complained about frozen purri and the manager said “no, we cooked from fresh dough”. I asked him can you just show me one dough roll? And he was nothing left to say anything. Prathas are frozen too. They claimed that prathas are desi. This is a joke. I dont think this chaii wala ever visited desi places. It is just a myth. And i am shocked how come people dont complain about there misguided information. Tomorrow i am going to council to report about them. 0% cleaning, and i want to proof that there food is frozen by contacting council

Chaiiwala Preston was a great experience. Madhu provided exceptional customer service and actually it’s been the best Chaiiwala in the UK that me and my family have been to. Great work Madhu and thanks again! We will be back for sure.

Good ambience and good place for evening snack with tea

The food here was delicious - every bite was a treat, with decent portion size! The staff at the till were refreshingly patient, giving us space to decide without hovering awkwardly or rushing us - as you find in some places! Instead, they let us know to call them over when we were ready, which made the whole ordering process much more relaxed. It wasn’t too busy during our visit (weekday evening), and the food arrived quickly - always a bonus when you’re hungry! Great service and great food made for a very enjoyable experience. Parking, however was extremely difficult to find. Accepts card payment. Shop verbally confirmed they are halal.

I only tried pink tea in there and I always go there to get it. Highly recommend it.

Served by the lovely Madhu this morning who was very courteous, informative, friendly and welcoming. His attention to detail and concern for the customers dining in store was excellent. Lovely to meet him and I'd definitely come back in the mornings to be served by him again. Thank you, jazakallah hu khairan, Madhu and the kitchen team.

Nothing wrong with the service and atmosphere but the bun kebab’s meat has weird smell that messed it up for us. Apart from that not the worst experience though.

Brilliant stop off for breakfast on way to moor park event. Staff very friendly, helpful and recommended pink chai latte, which was fantastic. All good was flavoursome, well cooked and presented. Definitely will return thank you.

The quality of tea has gone downhill. I understand that they just add hot water to pre-mixed tea powder, but atleast mix it properly! Ambience has also gone downhill, dirty, nobody seems to care about cleaning the tables. Just surviving using the brand name. Avoid. Preston has better options for Chai.

Lovely little find in Preston. Wonderful service from friendly staff and the food was absolutely lovely. We had the masala chips and a kebab roll, they were so good! I also recommend the new iced pink chaii matcha and the sugar donuts too 😊 its very modern and clean. No complaints from us! We will certainly be visiting again!!

Had butter chicken wrap tonight. After half an hour start having gas problem. Then after 2hrs loose motion. This is second time I went in toilet after Butter chicken wrap... still I am not feeling well. 0 rating. Guys just keep it to Tea only rest all looks ready made. I am a taxi driver and my night wasted!!!

Samosa was just burnt. 0/5 Chai was 3 out of 5. It was not 'Karak' though. The chana masala was bland. 1/5 The daal was stale. I wish I could send a smell with the review. -5/5 Unfortunately, I paid extra for one of these. Omelet was fine but I ordered it with extra cheese and onions, which were definitely not good in taste. 2/5 Being an Indian and having experience in the food business, I know what these items taste like. Please do not serve such food, specifically not in the name of breakfast which can begin your day by ruining it. I ordered from this restaurant because of the overall ratings, so I was excited to explore the dishes. Somehow, it turned out to be a well-taught experience. Overall ratings: 1/5 (1 for the hope)

How can I convey my experience? It left me completely shattered for the entire day, and I had to make three trips to the restroom.

I am from Glasgow and on a journey to blackpool. Chai wala is an amazing taste and feels fresh and food wise in blackpool. I had a Downtown Grill in blackpool halal and which filled me up with delicious 😋 food. Thanks to lookafter us..

I visited chai wala in Preston and the service was great and sat inside and enjoyed my Karak chai and omelette bun. The young Indian guy that served me was very pleasant and just wants to mention that he is great asset to the company and keep up the great work.

Service is terrible I’m giving this review not based on first or second visit been there couple of times the guy who is named MADHU SONNA he was very very rude and his way of speaking is like he was the CEO of all Chaiwalas around uk and he speak in his own language with his colleague which we won’t understand he was scolding us or talking or taking the order lol I have been there last week even my friend thought the same the food we always loved but I think services must be improved and maintained the standard. Our first time at Chaiwala Preston and it was a lovely experience. The food was sublime. Our server Mr.Madu made us feel right at home. He introduced us to the dishes and gave top recommendations. Highly recommend the desi breakfast, especially the nasal omelette, also the butter chicken rice bowl as well as the superb karak Chai. Will definitely will visit again, for the great food and the warm atmosphere that reminded us of home. For a moment we forgot we were out of south Asia.

First visit, delicious food with authentic South Asian taste. Kind and helpful service by Madhu explaining the dishes as it was the first time. Cheese omelette, parata, roti, chana curry and paneer chicken rice were really good.

The food is exceptional and the karak chai is the star….but when we visited the shop today there was a guy and he was taking the orders, I asked him what cake it was in the display even though it was written pink chai cake…he said its a sponge cake and then in an intention to correct his mistake he said it was pink chai cake and it is good with pink chai..i dint undsratand what he said initially..and kept quiet, asked him if we could bill the order..he got triggered our response and said i am saying something to you and you are just ignoring me and he was quiet angry with us…and we tried to explain the situation to him but he kept making a grumpy face to us till the end,untill we collected the order, it was definitely not a good experience…….chaiwala has its own legacy, just service is a bit lagging….if staff were given training for better quality service..this place would have a different vibe

The karak chai hits the spot, and they've got a good mix of traditional dishes to choose from. Reasonable pricing and good seating available , making it a decent spot for a casual bite.

Used to be my Fav chai place in preston, used to go there twice a week. Now for the last 3months their standards of Karak chai are compromised. It's very diluted now. Very watery. Chaiiwala guys please look into this as a meter of serious concern. Thanks.

Had our first visit to chaiiwala yesterday 6/2/24 & it was great. The food was delicious & reasonably priced, although we underestimated the portion sizes. The staff were lovely & very welcoming & helpful. We will be back.

The experience at Preston Chaiwala today was top notch. The lads and I enjoyed incredibly delicious, piping hot fresh karak chai and garam chocolates. Their menu keeps growing, offering something new every visit. The spacious seating area and the consistently friendly, fast service make it a go to spot. Just loved the food and service was really good

I've been visiting Chaiiwala for the past two years; it's one of the best spots in Preston for hanging out with friends and family. The food and karak chai are amazing, and the customer service, particularly from team member Nitya, is exceptional, along with the other team members.

Purely writing a review due to the young lady at the front of the house serving at around 5pm today. She was so pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the lovely service!
