this place really has had its day. its dead. have been coming here for over 25 years and it used to be absolutely crazy busy here, bustling, full of life, great staff and decent food, not to mention charlie chalks! nowadays its a very dilapidated place that has lost of a lot its charm. came here friday with my mum and daughter, the waitress(i think shes blind in one eye, foreign) gave probably the worst service ever since ive been visiting here. the food menu here is really slimmed down, they used to offer some great dishes like half roast chicken, ribs and so forth. i had a nacho starter which tbf was alright, then the chicken tikka curry which for £14 id had expected alot better. typical microwaved stuff that. mum had a rump and daughter had the big kids 2 course which tbh it couldve easily caterer for two ! sloppy pizza & 4 chunks of corn/cob which she didnt eat all of. the play area has seen better days, i really dont understand why charlie chalks was thrown out and a silly little area that has no character. back in the day there used to be a counter that sold many childhood goodies, youd also pay £1 to play in the play area too which was a steal. i used to sneak in here at night whilst my parents were getting razzled 🫣🙂 growing up and legsl to drink, i had many a nights in here with mates, off our faces, karaoke etc, seeing the regulars. it really used to be a decent night out. anyway going off on a tangent here, whenever we come here nowadays we always say how dead it has become, no life, mediocre food, souless. what happened?

Friendly pub - Menu has changed again, on £5 menu really good. Lovely service and atmosphere and free parking.

Went on the off chance for a bit of Sunday lunch but was too late no problem u can still eat something Everything we asked for they didn't have or had some of it not all But we did eat and drank so filled a hole Maybe we're unlucky

Falafel horrible Luke warm mush, when raised with the staff they said that's how they are told to cook it (so live with it really!)

Why oh why have they removed the outside play area 😫😫 was the best thing about this brewers, especially in the summer, sat outside while the children played! Absolutely baffled why you would ruin this brewers and make people not bother coming here anymore?!

Perfect place to stop for breakfast half way from east Kent to Stansted airport. Easy to get to from the M25.

Avoid this place like the plague !!! I booked for my sons 4th birthday amd clearly stated to be near the soft play area with a party of 12 people, only to arrive and the play area is shut ! Not 1 member of staff contacted me to let me know !! The food is disgusting but we use it for the play area as the kids love it. Never again will I go this dive. Completely ruined my sons birthday 👍.. it's no wonder it's always empty.

I came for a carvery around 1pm yesterday. I hadn’t booked but the lady who seemed to be acting manager showed us to a table in the bar area. We was served at the bar by a young guy who went above and beyond, made us feel more welcome and comfortable than I have in a long time in a restaurant. Went out his way for extra gravy, was joining in jokes and could sell snow to an eskimo. The chef was present and she was friendly, explained everything, laughed with us was cleaning every part of her hot plates every second she got. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much as I came here around a year ago and the staff was rude, the food was cold, but now.. we will be returning with the family this Sunday and it might be our new weekly carvery!

Went there on a Saturday night and it was closed. Closes at 9.30 pm on a Saturday , but google says open until 11pm

I stayed at the Premier Inn THURROCK for 2 weeks and had breakfast daily in the restaurant and also dinner most days. The staff has been wonderful to me. Due to my schedule I had to have breakfast in my room and every night I picked up breakfast at the restaurant. They always helped me in any way they could. Thank you for your kindness and understanding. Good job.

Foods amazing always cooked fresh and I've been here on a many number of occasions for years now however service can sometimes only sometimes be a bit slow especially when empty but otherwise great food!

This place needs to be shut down. On 3 occasions now for breakfast, main menu and Sunday roast, piss poor service and food. Don’t know how this place is still open

Was a bit rowdy when we went in but it wasn’t in your face it was just some people ‘enjoying’ the local beverages. Food was perfectly acceptable. If you don’t go in hoping for too draw cuisine then you’ll find the food very nice. Good selection of drinks served by a very friendly bar-staff member. Some recommendations from another staff member where very helpful and it was nice to see a youngster enjoying their work enough to go out of there way to help. Tables where clean enough and the food was well presented. All in all, if you want a meal with the family and don’t mind it being standard quality then you’ll enjoy this place.

Me and my partner had breakfast and it was the worse which we ever had . I waited 10 minutes for some scrambled egg and I was the only one in the restaurant. My partner ordered an English breakfast 1 hour later and again he waited more than 10 minutes for the food and wasn’t tasty as he expected.

There was no staff the garden was full of broken glass' this poor lad jack-den was doing everything on his own there was a mistake with a table in the next zone this poor boy done everything to make it right for them' he was so kind but still he was on his own' the toilets was horrible. And better that no manager was in sight at all' the bar lady was on her own doing everything! Appalling place now!!!

Walked into what I can only say, the most absolute awful place ever. The staff were scarce. Drink and food was completely restricted and when the food finally arrived, it was a wrong order. The beer was warm. Will never recommend this place.

Been using this establishment for a few years as my company books me in to the Premier Inn a few times a year for work. After a days work I returned to the hotel around 18:30. Freshened up and had a quick nap before going down at 20:45 to claim my meal deal voucher from hotel reception to use in the Brewers Faye. On retrieving my voucher I popped over only to find that the kitchen was closing for the night and they couldn’t serve any drinks as the tills had been shut down for the day! I was told that the new closing time was 21:00!! With an empty belly and thirsty mouth I returned to my room very agitated! will not be returning to this as it no longer caters to my needs 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

I stayed at the Premier Inn with my family and close friends. After a few drinks at Lakeside we headed back to the hotel but decided to have a last drink in the Brewers. Jack served us and got to say, what a wonderful young man. His Mum should be proud of him as should his employers. He helped us try and order food on an app as the restaurant was closed, brought our drinks outside and even gave us a large jug if water with ice to take back to the room with us. Total legend! Next I'd like to praise Enkel, on a previous visit we had breakfast and nothing was too much trouble - we asked to move tables and this was done with no questions asked, food was brought out hot and enjoyable. This visit was just as good, Breakfast was buffet style this time but was replenished quickly and areas kept clean. Keep up the good work, we will definitely be back again!

Stood waiting at the door for 10 minutes to be told by the bar person just to find a seat, no staff on so the wait at the bar was ridiculous so walked out.

I don't know how this place is still open.... arrived at the not so great premiere Inn and had the meal deal for this shabby old place..... EXTREMELY LIMITED MENU and when my food did finally arrive after waiting 50mins it was cold, I spoke to the staff who eventually showed there faces and the response was, well it will be cold as we served it you 20mins ago.... ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING will never use your food shack again!!!

Rude obnoxious staff, rather stand about chatting than serve customers. Tried to phone to amend booking 4 times no answer either time to then go in there and be told rather bluntly by whom I assume is the manager that's because there's only one phone and that's in the office, really couldn't of cared less. Closed at 9.30 on a Saturday night?? And about 20 items not available on the menu lol please avoid at all costs also had a car stolen from the car park overnight whilst staying in the Premier Inn.!!!

Just awful today, over half of the menu they didn’t have including the festive menu, when I did pick something they had it was dry and cold. Staff was very rude .

Great place for a pub meal. We go for the buffet breakfast which is reasonably priced and the food is very good. You can eat as much as you want and there are lots of options to choose from!

Visited brewers fayre today ad I have done on numerous occasions it eas a birthday celebration for family I was extremely disappointed on arriving we were waiting a considerable amount of time eventually two staff members arrived it seems there were staff shortages there was issues with parking staff were overheard talking to customers about it whilst waiting I was approached by an elderly customer stating ladies toilets were in a filthy state when I needed to use the facilities there was toilet paper strewn outside near bar area toilets had toilet paper all over the floor toilets filthy toilet seat broken toilet not flushing foul smell my daughter attempted to use othe toilet again this was filthy totally unacceptable the saving grace was the carvery drinks again some ingredients not available and staff seemed unaware of how to prepare drinks totally dissappointed

Brilliant Restraunt for anyone looking for good service and food. Great staff, friendly and polite.

Firstly, I just want to say I was dreading going here when my kids said they’d booked it (due to previous experience about a year or so ago). BUT, WHAT A SUPRISE!! As soon as we arrived we was greater by a lovely member of staff (who introduced himself as the general manager), he showed us to us to our table and was really accommodating (considering I am on crutches with my leg in a full cast). He sat us somewhere accessible and safe and made us all feel so welcome. The waitress was brilliant, after the initial meet and greet, the first thing she asked was regarding allergies.. Both my children have certain allergies and intolerances and so the waitress was so helpful and informative of what would suit their dietary requests the best. The food was really good, good size portions and came to us in a timely manner. We didn’t feel rushed at all (like the last experience we’d had). We really enjoyed the whole setting there and even stayed to join the table next to us (strangers with young family) for an after dinner drink in the bar. Honestly, what a turn around from my last experiences there. It used to be our “last chance saloon” but now it’s 100% our first choice. Everything down the cleanliness, how well presented the staff were and how welcoming everyone was, The good quality and whole package was really impressive. What a turn around!!

We dined here 30/9/24, first time in a long time. I was pleasantly surprised. It is obviously under new management, the staff were well mannered, polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely. We will be going back regularly. Well done all.

Went there with friends for a birthday meal and i couldnt be more happier with the staff, the atmosphere was great proper chilled vibes… the food was definitely on point that day as well…. Ill be coming back for more….

I visited this evening (29th September) for the first time in years and as I used to live in the area. It was just me and my son. When we arrived I could tell the team were under pressure and short on staff but we were made to feel welcome and seated. They managed to get the food out in a reasonable time and the food was good. I just wanted to thank the whole team as I could see they were really putting in a shift and making sure everyone was served. Well done all we will be back

My husband and I booked for Sunday lunch on a whim as we were travelling home and feeling hungry. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and shown to our table, we chose, the vegan carvery option of a mock chicken breast, that arrived promptly, we then helped ourselves to the vegetables, there was a good selection and the roast potatoes were crispy and fresh. At £11.99 this is good value for money, and the plates were large enough for the biggest of appetites. The decor is in desperate need of modernisation, otherwise I would have given top marks. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

They do amazing deals at certain times of day and the food is good.

Not the first time I've visited here. But the first time I have eaten. I had the Meal deal and desert. The waitress service was great so big shout out to her. Ordering was sufficient service was good. The only issue was the payment machine wasn't working properly but it was ok. Meal was great. Got to say the New New York cheesecake was so good I definitely recommend this desert. Overall very pleased and will return soon.

Had breakfast service has changed for the better had excellent experience compared to last time maybe 6months ago. Staff friendly with good customer service skills. Manager was welcoming and attentive. Give it another try you'll enjoy the experience with the family.

We ate there for dinner. Despite reservation we were told to find our own table. Lots had reserved on them, others had dirty cutlery and rubbish on them. We cleaned table and ordered food. Prawn cocktail came with supermarket sliced bread and mains arrived before we had finished starters. Pie was hot, chips, peas and gravy barely lukewarm. Breakfast next day - food again only lukewarm. Coffee machine not working so only instant coffee sachet. Teapots either badly chipped or already had used teabags in. Cold water machine switched off. Whole restaurant seemed dirty. Would definitely not recommend eating here. So different from the BF we used in North Shields, despite being very busy, staff, cleanliness and food were outstanding.

Ordered food and starters came very quickly - prawn cocktail with cheap sliced bread. I hadn't even finished my starter and they brought mains. Pie was hot but chips, peas and gravy were barely warm. Not impressed. Nobody asked if everything was OK. Whole restaurant didn't seem very clean. We regularly stay at Premier Inn and our last stay was at North Shields. The Brewers Fayre there, despite being very busy, was superb, clean and friendly staff.

The breakfast was okay the atmosphere seemed like it drained all your hopes and dreams a bit like a Wetherspoons

This is our special place to have breakfast, where everyone finds something that they like. The staff is very friendly and we always feel welcomed. Today we met Monica and Giovana who were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel like home! Will definitely come back soon.

Was so disappointed. Went there today with the family and grandchildren. They have taken away the small play area outside and shut off the small soft play. We often went there to eat and watch the children have fun.I am so annoyed we walked out. It's a shame because this place was very popular with families. I didn't feel kids were wanted there. We will not be going there again. The photos need to be corrected. There is no childrens slide outside.

Visited yesterday (Sunday) with Family which included grandchildren to my dismay the play area and the outside play area has been removed We visited here frequently due to the play area for kids Food we had carvery which is nice choice of beef/Turkey and Gammon One of my sons had spicy chicken burger and my other son has Katsu curry the burger was good but the Katsu not so good We were served by MONICA at the till and she was extremely helpful and patient with us as we had kids playing up (as they do) but nothing was to much trouble She made us feel that we didn’t have to rush GREAT SERVICE

Lovely roast and very helpful staff. The host lady took us to the table and took my order and helped me with the code and also checked on us and made sure we are having a great experience. We were really impressed as it was obvious busy. We will definitely come back.

Lovely food, was not very busy when we went. Lesson learned for next time......... get a table as far away as possible from the kids' play area !! Was only 1 staff member serving when we went, bless her. Done an amazing job keeping everyone happy, a credit to the company. Hope she gets a fair wage (deserves more whatever she gets) Highly recommended food and service. We all enjoyed it 👍

My favourite pub for sure. Amazing atmosphere and the staff are excellent, friendly and quick to serve. I love the fact they have a play area indoors and in the garden so you can have a drink, the sun and watch the little ones too. Food is good value too. Thank you !!

Ordered the 1/4 lb burger which came with a hair in the coleslaw. When my wife returned the meal the waitress said that’s a blonde hair (my wife’s colour), but it was a dark hair mixed in the coleslaw. Both neither of the female or male toilets had any soap. What concerned us was that the staff must use these toilets also, are unable to wash their hands properly and then prepare and serve food. Have we not learnt anything from covid?

Complete shambles, from lack of signage or info on where to park through to long wait to be seen at front of house etc. No one seemed to be in control and keep having to look to see if tables free seems ridiculous. Worse was to come ......you have to order at the bar, but only one person taking food orders out of the staff at the bar. Guess what.....long wait again !! The saving grace was the carvery which was really good. Great flavours, roasts cooked properly. Moist Turkey, tender lean beef 😋

Customer service needs to be Improved got advised of our table number was and told how to find it. You are not shown to your table or explained you have to go to the bar to order your food. Lucky i have been there yrs ago so i knews you had to go to the bar. Meat portion sizes on mixed grill was not as per menu they was smaller sizes. Staff dont came back and ask if ur meal is ok.

Father's day breakfast was a shambles no food stocked no plates no coffee cups no juices nothing stocked up freezing cold food

Givanna was extremely rude and expected my 4 year old daughter to sit next to live wires coming out of the wall. I had to argue to be seated somewhere else. The same person was extremely rude to other customers we were sat next to and asked them to leave even though she was in the wrong. The general manager had to be called to resolve but she had 2 complaints put in against her withing 30 minutes. I would avoid going there if she is on shift as she is abrupt and very rude. Also the toilets were disgusting and went somewhere else to use facilities as there was poo and toilet roll everywhere. I don't think the toilets are checked regularly.

Came for a quick lunch and got a great service and food was delicious. We don’t give credit when we receive any good service. That’s why I am going to give them a shot:).

What a great evening at the Chafford Hundred Brewers Fayre. I was first greeted by such a polite and kind woman named Lara. She made me feel welcome and was great to talk to. I enjoyed my time at the pub and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Lara and Giovanna for making my experience so great. I will be back again with more friends and family

The staff here aren't friendly or efficient. Ordered chips for the little one and they tasted awful even he spat it out and he's a toddler! The atmosphere is more like a pub and not a family restaurant.Not a place to bring your child maybe earlier in the day due to the outdoor and indoor soft play area. Certainly won't be coming back here again.

I live very close to this pub and I used to come with my family for dinner and for our daughter to play a little, but for some time the atmosphere has changed, the playground inside is always closed, the bartender doesn't know how to make a banal cocktail and Mrs. Giovanna who is also the manager or something like that gives indications as if she pays and not us. We ordered dinner in the garden and our request was refused on the grounds that she knows better and outside they don't serve food and only drinks. This girl is very naughty and probably the staff is like that too having someone like her to lead them. The toilets are terribly dirty and many do not work.

We celebrated my granddaughters 2nd Birthday with a breakfast. We were able to have the area next to the child's play gym. Perfect for all the children to have some fun. The breakfast was delicious. The display was small but regularly topped up keeping it nice and fresh full English and continental breakfasts were on offer with fresh orange and tea. Definite improvement on our Christmas meal

Well ordered food. Sat down looking forward to it then the disappointment began, ordered the smothered chicken when it cam out thought it was a kids meal only half the plate had food on it, couldn't even find the bacon on the chicken. Place was a mess tables not cleared kids toys all over the floor which staff dint clear up or ask the kids parents to clear it up. Came out of there hungrier than when I went in. Absolute disappointment will never return

We have becoming to this restaurant for years but the more we come the worse it is becoming! We came today for some lunch, the lady that took my order and served me was lovely. The starter of the mushrooms was soo hard to cut through, they were like bricks!! One of our meals came out wrong, the egg wasn’t cooked properly at all. The problem was resolved after an argument with a staff member and my family member as we paid for an extra piece of gammon on our order and we didn’t receive it, so we tried to ask for the extra piece and was basically told we was wrong. We attempted to take my little one in to the soft play area, big mistake!! There was children running around screaming, hurting toddlers/babies the staff here were told and walked in took one look and walked back out. Will be very reluctant to return here!

Don’t visit here. Poor hygiene standards, toilets are disgusting and overflowing and stink to high heaven, the slides in the play area stink of human poo, the food is poor quality and the staff are rude. Save yourself a tummy bug and avoid!

This premier inns restaurant and bar for there Thurrock East Hotel. If after a long journey you want to relax with a drink then you'd better not get there after 9.30 pm as the bar will be shut, even though it advertises 11pm

Throughout our dinner, Anika, our server, was exceedingly cordial and helpful. I was very fond of the fishpie dish since it was flavorful and perfectly prepared. I thought the decor in the restaurant was really well done, and it had a wonderful feel.
