Chaddesden Fish Bar in Derby

I had a amazing fish with mushy peas best fish I've ever had so tasty cooked perfect I was with family who also had food burger s and they were tasty and cooked perfect . We left no food . Will definitely be going again soon

Friendly staff. Very clean. Minimum, but, good choice of food. Let me off 50p. I took it back later as i was staying across the road at travelodge. Unfortunately cash only. Definitely be going again.

Best chippy for miles around. I've never had a bad meal from them. Lots of specials available as well. Right in the centre of Chaddesden shops and on the main bus route.

Chips tasted like they had been reheated, mini fish was watery and had no taste. I’ve been in the past and it was better. Won’t bother again. Female server not very friendly either.

Terrible chips cob cold and hard was seeded like left over just not nice. Battered sausage greesy just not good.

First time I've ever been to this Chippy.... And the last what a joke!!! Ordered 2x battered sausage and chips and paid but then made to wait in a queue of 6 people for our food/order's (WTF.. Never seen this before? And don't understand why??). When I finally received my food after a 20 minute wait due to them not serving people straight away from the counter, the battered sausages were disgusting, not alot of batter on them... Pitty rank really, everything was soggy and not good. I also noticed there was no food hygiene rating sign anywhere on display 🤔 I wounder why?? Stay away from this place unless you like to pay £1.40 for a non-battered, soggy sausage.

Ridiculous wait for chips, served by one of Chads finest short changed which looks a common complaint on here miserable staff when I asked for sauce is was like I asked her to do cartwheels and when

good sized portions and always fresh. chicken meat and chips is one of my favourites and the owner is friendly and chatty.

Always great food. In the village of Chaddesden. You can sit in if you wanted there's small areas. We've had food for many years and it's always great.

Would never recommend served by what looked like a criminal. Over charged and short changed. The food was disgusting and went in the bin. Would definitely never recommend

Living in Germany, I wanted some authentic chips from a Great British chippy.Food was great and the gent that served me was extremely polite and helpful. He would do well in a fine dining establishment. ;-) I would recommend.

The pies and fish cakes are superb but the mini fish are only fish pieces and not that pleasant. Big fish are not too bad but batter rather thick.

Love this chippy.. fresh chips every time and the chicken meat is tasty. Great service and very friendly staff..

Stopped of last night on the way back from work just before the Derby fans got there before the FA cup against Leicester, the staff were friendly the place was clean and tidy and my dinner of pie chips and mushy peas was very nice made a present change

You'll never have a problem here. Food and service always great. Fish is cooked right. Never soggy batter! Kebabs are great. A great chippy

Sometimes we call here on our way back from the weekly supermarket shop. It's a very good chippy serving hot crispy chips and beautifully fresh fish, we've never had a bad experience here on the occasions that we call in. The prices are reasonable, the shop is really clean and the staff cheerful.

We go on a regular Monday's/Tuesday's and the Chippy is the best in the area and well worth the money during lunch time and tea time and the staff very friendly :-) Best Chippy in the area !!

Fantastic Food & Fantastic Friendly Staff ! Always Go Every Tuesday and Food is always prepaid fresh and staff is very friendly and laugh with I would 10000% recommend them to anyone in Chaddesden / Derby Best in City and worth it going everytime
