Chadbury Farm Shop in Wychavon

Dreadful, waited 45 minutes for food sent scrambled egg back as it was rock hard to be replaced with another plate of over cooked eggs . Would not recommend at all and won’t be returning,

I want to like this place more. It’s a local business and has truly lovely views. I’ve never had a complaint re their food either. What I do struggle with is the attitude of the cafe staff. Haughty, unwelcoming and rigid with table bookings. I nipped in for a coffee and was treated like an inconvenience. ‘You can sit at that table till xx’ I get it, people book but there’s a way of delivering the message and it’s off putting. It’s happened a few times with different staff so I’m assuming a cultural issue. Shame as I would be more inclined to visit if it wasn’t so frosty. It has a touch of the doctors receptionist about it.

Bought cooking apples from them that turn out to be completely rotten on the inside, so inedible. They refused to replace them! Beware!

Please, when asked, close the back door when it is cold and windy outside. By refusing, it impacted the customers, especially the elderly and young children. It also made the hot food being served cold. Disappointed.

We visited today (08/10/23) and came for the pumpkin patch and had the most amazing time. There are lots of photo opportunities and Barbara was so lovely and welcoming. We also did the maize maze and my boys thought it was so much fun they loved playing hide and seek and running around. We visited the cafe after, the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and polite. We will definitely be returning soon for more cake! We have been to a few pumpkin patches over the years but this was definitely our favourite and we will be returning again for our pumpkins next year.

Fantastic Staff and Service I would advise You Book ❤️we go there on a regular basis and have never been disappointed, In the winter months there pies and Corn Beef Hash are Amazing 🙏well done everyone

My wife and I have moved into the Evesham area, and I recently tried the Café and was impressed with the facilities, food and service. After I told my wife about the Café she wanted to try it so we rocked up today and ordered a Large and a Regular Breakfast. Unfortunately, my wife has a Mushroom allergy and does not like Baked Beans, so we asked to swap the Mushrooms and Baked Beans out for just one extra Hash Brown, egg or rasher of Bacon. The pleasant young lady who took my order stated that we could not swap anything out, which seemed odd so I asked why. At that point an older surly lady, who spoke as if she was the owner or manager, then jumped in and grumbled that we would have to pay the full price, even if we removed two items. I tried to reason with her, but her attitude was rude, unprofessional and jobsworth. She also stated that most places implement the same policy regarding removal of an item. Basically, what she is saying is that if you have a food allergy that can kill or make you ill. You must pay for that item as it is written on a menu. This is poppycock, my wife has had this allergy all her life and we have seldom had a problem removing, swapping an item out and on the rare occasion we have not been able to swap out the person has at least shown some empathy, or been pleasant and apologetic. On the Plus side the food and my Mocha was excellent. However, the attitude of one mature person ruined the whole experience and in hindsight I wish we had just walked away.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Extremely Poor hygiene! Salad leaves had soil on them when returned manager/owner admitted that they do not wash the salad…. Its bagged already washed! No apology this could result in Giardia (parasite that lives in the gut!) Today we thought we would try breakfast! Huge mistake!!! Next to my mushrooms was a cooked earwig! When returned once again owner was rude and sarcastic claiming the chef does not have time to cut open every mushroom to check for insects! She should not be dealing with the public! No people what so ever! Unbelievably poor service! Will definitely not be returning!

We visited the cafe 8/7/23. My husband and our son had a breakfast, everything on the plate was cooked to perfection and piping hot. As I don’t usually eat a fry up - I opted for toast and jam. However, the breakfast looked so good, next time I will definitely have one. Staff were great, we were served quickly. This was our first visit to the cafe, but it won’t be our last. 10/10

We arrived having found it on google and needed a place for refreshments after an event near by. We walked in to see a sign asking to wait to be seated. So we did. We waited a long time.... not because there was no staff or because it was very busy, because it was quiet and there were at least 4 staff for approx 4 tablles. The reason we waited (awkwardly) was because the staff were all ignoring us. Two staff turned their backs on us to rummage with cutlery and napkins in the dresser for a long time, havng a chat and actively avoiding looking at us. A guy waked past us twice and eventualy asked if he could help. We asked for a table and he said sit anywhere and he seemed confused by the shops sign which we pointed out. We found a table and ordered 2 cream teas and a sandwick. The lady serving was friendly and helpful. The tea came out but the scones didnt. People who arrived after us were served their food before us and still we waited. Eventually the nice lady came out and apologised about the wait - the ticket had been lost under something else (under the napkins and cutlery in the dresser we wondered). It wouldnt be long we were told. It was another ten mins or so for the scones to come out. They were nice. We got fresh tea as the tea had gone cold. But whilst we were eating the guy came out trundling a noisy industrial sized mop on wheels and started cleaning and mopping around us whilst we were eating. I mean come on who does that !! I have never experienced that in my life at a cafe. I'm sure that the staff were aware how rude and unwelcoming their behaviour was. I think the point was that they didnt want any more customers after 3pm so they could get away early. Honestly we were hapyp to leave and will never return. Not unless we wanted faulty towers type of experience. The only thing missing was someone shouting at us.

I ordered an egg sandwich off the specials board priced at £5.95 but when I paid it came up at £7.95, I said it says £5.95 but was told the price had been put up wrong. If I hadn't been with a friend I would have left. I will not be going back there, all they had to do was say its the wrong price but you can have it at advertised price. Such a shame.

Been coming to this cafe fairly regularly and have always enjoyed it. Today we arrived and were advised we could sit at a reserved table as the booking was late. Within five minutes a very surly looking older lady came over and told us we had to move as the booking had arrived. No problem to us as there was a cosy seat by the fire but her attitude was appalling, no apology at all. Just “you have to move” So we moved and awaited our drinks and scones. The capuccino was a non event, very weak milky cough with not a hint of froth. I returned it to one of the young girls who was very sweet and apologetic. Next another one was delivered which was exactly the same so I spoke to the surly woman who told me the frother wasn’t working and in any case a cappuccino was very similar to a latte. To give her her due she did apologise this time but why not tell customers the frother wasn’t working rather than trying to pass off very poor substitutes. So after this sorry tale we won’t be returning in spite of the scones being excellent, There are plenty of other places with pleasant staff

Popped in today for the first time, very friendly staff and great food. I had one of the tastiest jacket potatoes I've ever had with a lovely fresh salad, my wife had a tuna mayo sandwich and said it was the best sandwich she's had in a long time. All washed down with a lovely pot of tea. We will be back.

Visited today to purchase some Plums from the Farm Shop (several signs outside to say they had some) when I ask the woman at the till where they were she said we only have Damsons! I said that really, they should change the signs outside. She immediately said “No, Damsons are plums as they have a pip in them”. It’s a shame that one member of staff can taint your opinion, but I won’t be returning!

Owners surly and unhelpful. If you want something particular then forget it - will not change or add anything. Has to be exactly as it is on menu. Coffee was dire and food mediocre. Will not be returning.

Very unaccommodating. When I asked if they did cheese and tomato Sandwich I was told no we only have tomatoes in quarters in salad so then I asked what was the chutney like only to be told by the owner, I don’t know as I don’t eat sandwiches. The food is always constantly top class at this wonderful cafe, and the views are outstanding. My mum and i eat there most weekends , I feel safe at this cafe as they have good cleaning and hygiene standards. The staff are always lovely.

Love this place for an informal brunch, light lunch or coffee and cake. The farm shop itself is excellent but the cafe is seriously under-rated.
