A great food place I go with my uncles on most fridays! The kulcha naan and piya is lovely to eat plus its a nice and cosy place to sit and eat in. Only downsides is parking and driving to this place as we all know ilford lane is crowded most of the time, but in the end, the food is worth it (additionally parking being free in the late afternoons/evenings around the area). Would continue going here again if any motives/events are arranged!

Loved it. After a long time an excellent nashta. Family run, everything had a very traditional lahori taste to it, and extremely homely. Nihari, chanay, halva, paratha, omelette, naan - highly recommend it. Not your Instagram fam type place, but the place you go if you want the quality of food with a family touch .

Family run, so food is passable as home made. Paya was disgusting. Saag was microwave warmed from the day before, not fresh. The chicken and rice was fresh and nice. Naan was also nice. We won't be going again. Staff seemed unable to take criticism.

Food is amazing and fast service

Exceptionally good home cooked food. Run by the family and I can tell that they love cooking. I have been here 3 times in last 2 months and everytime t ordered different items (except for Desi Choocha & Laddu Peethi). If you want to taste real stuff, just visit. Try Saag Gosht, Desi Chooza, Laddu Peethi, Lahori Channay, and Tandoori Paratha.

I have been there previously, and it's been better. Today the keema naan was lacking keema, when you pay £4.50 for keema nan you want keema. Chana were poor, and worst was the so-called Matka Biryani, which had two pieces of dehydrated old chicken. The Biryani was a complete failure. Two not so karak chai top off a bad experience. One good point was the homemade coconut biscuits. I don't think I will make the effort to go here again. Never mind, hey...

The food is really delicious with rich in taste. I preferred this for dessi food.

Tried the Nihari with a few naan breads. Nothing special and a bit overpriced.

First of all, the food is amazing. It is cooked by aunties, so you will get a home-cooked food taste. The annoying thing is that the service is appalling, and you would have to wait a long time to be served. If you want a drink or naan bread, the wait is 15 to 20 minutes. They should hire more waiters or servers. Saving money on these things could cost them customers. Based on my last visit to the restaurant, I would never go there again to eat in. It would be really good if they could improve the customer service.

Terrible service - definitely do not recommend. We were waiting for a table to be free, the waiter did not acknowledge our presence or approach us to welcome. There were three tables vacated and he took forever to clean them. He kept chatting away and not focusing on his work. Bad staff management. We travel alot and know what good looks like. If a restaurant staff misbehave and take this long to serve you, it's not worth it. First impressions are the last. We did not eat because we were not even seated having waited 15 minutes and the restaurant was not busy.

We had Desi chicken , aloo Paratha...wàtèry gravy and impoverished chicken pieces. If you understand indian and Pakistani food flavors you should never come here.

London's best Kadi Pakora ever! So damn delicious. The naans were freshly made and the blend of spices in Kadi were exceptional.

I have tried chickpeas it’s amazing. If you want to get proper taste of Pakistani cuisine. The one of best option is chaat noodles grill.

I left a review here a while back and upon my return a year later im happy to see that everything about the place is still amazing the food, the atmosphere and just great convos with the staff members just makes it one of my favourite restaurants ive been to. This is one of the best restaurants ive been to in a long time.All the food i had tried was delicious and filled with flavour and juices not to mention that the service we had received from the staff was immaculate 10/10 i will definitely come here again every week

got grilled chicken n few bits the grilled chicken and it’s garlic rice tasted off even though they told me they make it fresh…serious note you need to improve on it. i got me stomach feeling little funny today i’m being honest.

This is my go to place. We can even expect such taste in London which they are maintaining since their opening. Saag is absolute love, Biryani is superb. If you are after authentic desi taste, this is the place.

They charge restaurant prices but need to fix up the quality.

Today I had lahori channels one praha and chai in just 6 pound to be honest this is a best deal ever. They make fresh pratha in front of us The staff is very friendly and polite Also the owner is very kind to their customer nd she gave loli pop to my babies Highly recommended from my side .

Excellent food. It’s our regular Friday dinner place for some time now. We have tried many of their dishes. Everything is top class. If you are looking for an authentic Pakistani restaurant then this is the best place to go. Only downside is the limited space but worth waiting for the your turn. Highly recommended.

Takeaway for first time. Although food at tables looked fresh and tasty the reality was not so good. Ordered lamb karahi and chicken karahi with nan. However, portions were small compared to container size, almost 40% empty, plus actual meat was few and far between, in both chicken and lamb. Very bony - not a single piece of lean meat. For £10 (chicken) and £12 (lamb) takeaway this is not satisfactory at all. Left very unsatiated.

Just had my breakfast with Family. I ordered channa , nihari, paratha, chaay. I loved each and everything I ate. I can still feel the taste on my tongue buds. WHAT A GOOD EXPERIENCE . Staff Is so polite and helpful.its yummmyy my daughter don't eat Salan Roti But She ordered one paratha and ate Nihari and channa I was so happy . She loved the food. Guys whoever lives in ilford must visit the Place.

This is a family-run business that produces delectable cuisine. I was walking down Ilford Lane looking for a new place to eat when I came across this establishment. I was unsure whether or not to try it, but I am glad I did. The food surpassed my expectations. I ordered the biryani and the chicken 65 with rice, and both were flavorful and delectable. It is probably the best biryani I have had in East London, and the prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. I then decided to order some Karak chai, and I was informed that it would take a while because it would be freshly made in the Pakistani style. I'm glad I waited because it was delicious. It may not have the same sugary, strong flavor as Chaiiwala, but it does have the traditional Pakistani tea flavor. While I was waiting, the person at the table next to me ordered some stuffed naan, and the aroma was incredible. I will definitely return to sample the naan and other items, and I was impressed to see the entire family running the business together.

Went with my wife for a desi breakfast and thought we'd try this place for a change. I must say I'm very very glad I did. We bought the chana, halwa and parata. Chana was hands down the best I've had and we've tried a number of places around Ilford. The halwa was sweet but not too overpowering. The parata I assume was made with Wholemeal and was nice, fresh and not oily as sometimes served in other places. If I could suggest one area of improvement is their karak chai - it tasted underbrewed and lacked flavour. It is however a nice change that its served fresh and not made with sweetened powder which is how its typically made!

Busy restaurant..good food and am pleased to recommend ..

I have been here a few times and the food is okay however, the service is very poor. A few days ago, me and a friend entered the restaurant and waited for a table. The restaurant staff did not attend to us. We waited for 20 minutes and then ended up leaving as no one told us the estimated wait for a table, infact they did not even acknowledge us. We were so disappointed and will not be eating here again. The staff are unprofessional and rude as they ignore their customers.

The food is absolutely authentic and delicious! I keep coming back because of the taste. However the management needs to pay attention to their customers. A little better customer service to those entering your restaurant would make your business boom. This is a genuine advice from a customer who appreciates the authenticity of the place. I have never had a better kadak chai anywhere else in London.

This is one of the worst restaurant with worst customer service. I ordered karahi with 5 Rotis. Got the order after 40 minutes. They kept in changing the order, sometimes asking about 4 naans, instead of 5 rotis, then 3 rotis and kept on asking me. Then I requested them to see my order slip and don’t ask me every minute. When they took 40 minutes and I complained, they never said sorry and argued about it. They said that people sitting are more valuable to them and they would never give me order before them. Will never go there again and will make sure none of my friends and family go there. Will also send messages to extended family and friends telling about their customer service and will request them to never go there. They don’t have shame on their rude attitude.

I went in as they did Pakistani menu so I asked for samosa chaat and kabab roll for takeaway. Never again! Chaat was nothing like the images they show I was samosa with yoghurt and tomatoes on top and the kabab was so chewy due to fat content in it!

A nice biriyani service a little slow

It was great late night dinner we were probably the last customers. Food served quickly as we ordered on phone.The Mix grill platter was delicious. Staff and environment is so nice. Highly recommended for family feast.

Ordered a few samosa chaat to take away, unfortunately everyone who ate fell sick with stomach pain and vomiting. The chaat tasted good when we first ate, but soon after symptoms started. We did not eat anything else from outside that day. I don't normally write negative reviews but chaat and grill please look into your hygiene and food prep, did not expect this from this store, disappointed and still recovering from sickness.

I cant rate the food. Went there to get a lunch meal. Asked the guy if the lunch offer was still available. He mumbled something, I asked again, he mumbled something. I confirmed it is and he nodded. He asked me to sit down and I did. 30 minutes went by and didnt get my food. People who came after me go their food and I was left waiting. Very confusing and rude behaviour

Food was very good and had a homemade feel. Went there after 3 attempts with no customer service skills. Made to wait around with no acknoledgement and then walking out twice when noone came to us after 15 mins each time. Dissapointing, but food was good.

I bought chicken biriyani, and there was not much chicken, which was disappointing, and the smell of the restaurant was not the best it was slightly off putting.
