Shahs Halal Food Ilford Exchange in Redbridge

We ordered takeaway today from Shah. The order said it will take 50 minutes and the delivery was made almost 2 hours later. That's not the worst of it, it was the wrong order completely. We spent £40 and no food to show for. As we had broken our fast needless to say we were hungry. Tried calling them but they didn't pick. Absolutely the worst customer service. I would give them no start but that isn't possible

I ordered (chicken over rice], and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impressive. The portion size was generous, making it worth every penny see soon.

I have heard so much about Shah's and have been meaning to try it for the longest time! It definitely did not disappoint. The chicken was flavourful and well marinated and the lamb was juicy and tasty too. The rice was delicious and the whole combination with all salad and sauces was tasty! The service was brilliant too.

Disappointed the amount of meat given in a £10 box.Box is full of rice and very small portion of meat.If i just need rice dont need to get it from you,I can cook it at least 5kg with £10.The guy needs to know what is call balance and portion.

I placed an order on JustEat at 7:55 pm with an estimated delivery time of 50 minutes, but it ended up taking two hours. It wasn’t the delivery driver's fault—he actually had to wait an extra 25 minutes at the restaurant past the scheduled pick-up time. By the time the food arrived, my kids were already asleep. I tried calling Shah’s, but no one answered. To top it off, the Uber driver delivered the wrong order, so I had to decline it.

THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! it was mine and my husband’s first time trying the food and it was so delicious. the food was impeccable and well presented. the people that made our food were very welcoming and quick to make our food too. definitely going there again!

One of the best around Ilford I can’t go wrong with their food especially the combo over rice the taste of rice chicken and lamb is unbelievable the white sauce and the green mint sauce is my favourite I’ll recommend it for everyone to go and grab their platter u can’t go wrong with shahs Ilford.

Do like the food it has good taste however, while eating something cracked on my teeth to find out its some sort of stone! Absolutely not happy and yes my teeth does really hurt. I do have the stone and will be investing this situation.

First and last time ,I have pass messages to all my friends not to go there,yesterday 10.06.24 around 5 pm ordered food meet over chips,nothing special portions small ,loads of chips ,meet hardly seen.3 male workers was on they mobile while cooking ,wearing black gloves touching they face ,they should be shut down ,when mentioned no one listen.10£ for bunch of chips for sure not worth it,my friend order rice dish same thing loads of rice !!! Not recommended!no hygiene ,ppl be careful waft u buying,imagine how they clock food while customers order online on delivery platform!!!

Food is tasty and hot however today I got the large for £2 extra it had the same amount of meat as the regular, just more rice. I'm not mad, just disappointed.

Was sceptical to order here on uber eats at 1st but i went through with it eventually, Food was okay, would definitely say over hyped. Ordered the chicken over rice and payed for the large option with extra protein however i did get a large with no extra protein or salad. Quite disappointing! Would also be great if they didn’t advertised free stuff if they’ll be charging customers for it.

First time this has happen. Happen a few weeks ago I google the timings for shahs in ilford and I can see it says 10pm I arrive roughly at 8-8:30 and I come to see it is closed. Second time this happen was today but not in ilford. Galleons reach. Misleading customers

I've been working close by in ilford, and have had shah's for lunch nearly every day for 6 months....best food in the area and I've not had a bad one yet...khan is always friendly and the food comes with a smile..

First encounter with the staff at the kiosk was very bad👎 he sounded very rude and intrusive person the staff member needs to be trained and learn how to speak to customers (the male staff member that was working on 26th July 2023 at 18:40pm) the food was not even cooked properly especially the chicken I've eaten in many different shahs halal foods and they all were good but this one I would not recommend to anyone worst experience ever.

I visited Shah's halal food during the weekend. I ordered for a chicken platter and it was amazingly tasty. The quality of rice is really good. One box is sufficient for one person. The staff is courteous. They have chicken, lamb and combo platters. For vegetarians, Falafel is available as well. They have options available in Salads. Please note, as it is a food truck, you can only take-away and no dine-in option.
