Really nice place. Not much choice, but that's actually a positive, as everything is absolutely class. Food tasted great, everything was fresh, and tasty. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portions were satisfying. Service was fast, and we all felt looked after. We were not rushed and could really enjoy our time there.

Great food, attractively presented. Latte delicious, too. Pleasant venue. At the enquiry stage, before I'd ordered, I asked if the hashbrowns could be swapped for a latte and was told 'Yes'. I also asked if I could have brown sourdough bread and was told 'Yes'. I then ordered. I was brought a black coffee with cold milk to add to it so had to query it and was told 'That is a coffee'. I explained that I didn't think it was a latte with hot milk. They exchanged it. The sourdough bread in the meal was white. When I queried that, I was told that they didn't have brown.

Just behind the Ilford exchange shopping centre which has parking. The Pie Factory is now doing a full English breakfast which we were keen to try. Those coming with kids will find that the only kids options is chicken nuggets and chips (portion was very generous for a kids meal). They no longer do chicken nuggets so you will have to do with chicken wings although will accept you bringing in outside food for your kids. They do not have any kids drinks unless you go for soft drinks or orange juice. They wont provide tap water either. Another annoying thing is that they are cash only so can be frustrating hunting down a cash machine. The full English breakfast was good in parts but lacking others. The breakfast does not come with a beverage as teas/ coffees need to be bought separately. The beans and the omelette were very much done in a Desi way and if you cant handle spice, you wont like it. The thick sour dough toast was ok but it needed butter which they dont provide. The rashers were plastic tasting and while the omelette was decent, I would have just preferred fried/poached/scrambled with some seasoning. Inclusion of french toast on the breakfast was good but it was drenched in syrup. The fruit no longer comes with the breakfast. Overall opinion was that it looked better than it tasted.

Wanted to give 4 stars but i felt over the years service and the quality of food has dwindled somewhat. I usually go with my wife and the little one for breakfasts, steaks and pies. On this occasion my wife ordered a lasagna, it lacked layers and meat she said. Usually theres more layers but i think she only had 2 or 3 layers topped with too much cheese and not enough meat. The chips were somewhat hollow not very filling. I had a pie with mashy peas and spicy mash. The spicy mash was nice, however the pie did not taste like i used to know it on this occasion. I also wish they would accept card payment as its always very hard to find a working ATM. On this visit Tesco was out of service so the wife had to take out cash near the exchange.

We had the big breakfast and it lives up to its name. The breakfast is very filling and the portions are nice. The only problem I have is with how spicy the beans were and the canned mushrooms, the rest was very good!

This is about as good as British food gets. We ordered the tikka masala pie and the English breakfast and both were top tier. I imagine the rating is only 4 stars because this place is cash only.

Ordered a few things, the mushrooms on toast were quite dry( the menu did not say it had cheese on it) and would have been better with butter on the toast- also WAY too much black pepper! Are you guys trying to kill me at breakfast!? Next the pancakes, ordered with fresh fruit and maple syrup- these arrived cold and with what looked like ice cream on top but turned out to be cream cheese (again menu did not specify) and this flavour DID NOT marry well with the rest of the dish. Then came the avocado toast. This was nice but again it had an item on there which wasn't specified in the menu (it had a poached egg on top). Now I'm all for getting more for my money but there are two issues with including items that aren't specified on the menu: 1) allergies, intolerance- this is MASSIVE in the media- I recommend you either make it known on the menu that these items are added or do not add items that aren't currently part of the dish! 2) customer sees what they want on the menu as per what is listed so therefore that's what they expect!! Please take note of this as other reviews have also mentioned this discrepancy. Nonetheless, the food is fresh and the service is good.

*CASH ONLY* - First time coming here. Cleanliness not an issue. Was very quiet when I came in lots of seating available. Customer service was good. Ordered English breakfast and Big breakfast. Was worth the price if each one. The eggs from the big breakfast was made desi style which I don't mind. The beans were made desi style too. Overall would come again, atmosphere was meh but food was good especially for price. Please note it is cash only. Very frustrating businesses still do this especially how our society is becoming cashless but nevertheless there are cash points available nearby.

Seating for 40 people, located on Cranbrook Road, oppersite Ilford Overground Station. Parking available on York Road, pay and display. A selection of dishes including:- - Shakshouka - Ottoman - Med Mix - Egg Benedict - Avocado & Feta Also a range of breakfast options: - The English - The Desi Nasta - The vegetarian The size of the meals is very huge, the taste is vert good. Been meaning to come here for ages and after convincing the sceptical family we finally made the trip for iftar. The chicken leg and wing was really good, the pie itself really nice, drinks were also good. Where I feel there could be some improvement was the mash (was a bit dry) and the chips which could have done with some peri salt.

We ordered the Drizzled Pancakes and Med Mix brunch. The Drizzled Pancakes were terrible as they mixed the chocolate with Philadelphia Cheese which provided a weird mixture of chocolate and saltiness. My daughter and son had to physically remove the cheese from the pancakes and even then struggled to finish it. The restaurant offered extra chocolate and maple syrup but even then the salty flavour of the cheese came through. Pancakes with chocolate are supposed to be sweet but the restaurant didn't see why their product was not satisfying. They should have at least offered to give me a discount but they decided to charge the full amount. The Med Mix was okay but it didn't have a lot of variety. It was just egg, cheese, bread and slices of sausage. The salad was very dry. To me, this says volumes about their attitude to customer satisfaction. I won't be visiting this place again.

Food is good money for value. Nothing outstanding, but very comforting and filling food, for a reasonable price. I bought the steak and mushroom pie with 2 sides which was around £10, for which I got a very generous portion.

The food here is absolutely beautiful! The service was great, the portion size was great and I would highly recommend "Pie Factory" We live in Canterbury and stayed in Iford for a family event and my children often ask when we are going back to have breakfast in Ilford 😂

Excellent pies as usual.. really enjoy the selection of pies they have here, in particular the chicken tikka pie.. good selection of sides too. Only issue I have is the cash only policy, but can’t complain about the food or service here .

The pies are very nice. The lasagne is ok. The French toast isn't very tasty need to remove the cream cheese. The staff are friendly and helpful

Restaurant says it opens at 10am, we went at 11 but it was still closed. My wife was very disappointed and we decided to go to pasha cafe down the corner from the street. This restaurant needs to update their details on google

10:15 on a Tuesday and they're closed. Appreciate it's cold and there is snow on the roads but other places manage to open. Very disappointing as we came from far.

The best breakfast I had in a longtime. So much on the plate, I was surprised myself that I finished it all but just comes to show how good everything tastes.

Good food, friendly staff. You can eat for about £10 for pie and mash and a drink. Close to trains and buses. It was quiet when we visited, but I could imagine it could get busy during shopping hours.

Tasty British pies with sides and gravy...yumm..what more can I say. Update: They now have a breakfast club on the weekend, where you can enjoy an array of different breakfast/ brunch ideas ...including a full English. Full English is available most days. - Generous portions. - Good quality food. - Value for money.

Took family to have breakfast we couldn't finish all the food so asked for some takeaway box and then asked if I have have a takeaway cup as I still have my coffee left The guy said its already to much iv taken I even said I'll pay for the cup

This place has gone downhill massively. Service is not great, staff do not know how to smile and seem stressed at all times. The pies are ok but the mojito's ordered today just tasted like water.. the Macaroni cheese.. god knows what turned up.. disgusting frozen microwaved stuff. Wont be coming back here again!

I forgot to take a photo of my plate! Really enjoyed my choice ; cajun chicken breast topped with cheese; delicious 😋 with fries. My friends had the half roasted chicken; they didn't finish ; one of them said it was a bit dry. The service is good. I like the informality of the restaurant.

Ordered from here during Ramadan. I ordered one of the Iftar platters and my food came spoiled. The stench was horrible and the food went bad, was completely inedible. I called the place and all they had to say was "No one else has complained so it must be just your taste preference". I told them the food was spoiled and they hung up on me. No compensation given at all. Would not order from this place.

Fresh pie. Mesh was great too. Very tasty. Slightly modified to get Asian-Indian flavour. Spot on. Very clean. Well mannered.

Went here for iftar yesterday. Their set menu is great value for money. Service was prompt and really polite. Iftar service ran like a well oiled machine. Food tasted and looked great as always! Having eaten here before as well, can say it’s a firm favourite. Their chicken mushroom pie and strawberry mojitos are my favourites! Their breakfast is a must check out as well - the masala beans are sooo good!!! Only slight disappointment is their card machine is forever ‘out of order!’

Have been coming here for years. Great halal food. Amazing pies. They have managed to get the perfect balance of Eastern Asian food and English staple foods.

Walked in to order a takeaway, they do not take card payments which was rather surprising for a business located in a busy area, if i was not carrying cash i would have walked out and not returned. I ordered 3 shepherds pie’s, the food was well packed, the portion size was reasonable, the food tasted fresh and had good flavour and i did not wait long for the food. I would have given 5 stars but the fact they do not accept card payments was a let down.

Had breakfast here. Food and hot drink were standard. The service was incredibly slow, waited 30 mins to serve the food (and it wasn’t busy). Also this place takes cash only, which was a nuisance.

Freshly made brekki, I had the Big Breakfast and it came with 2 sour dough slices and a French toast which had maple syrup and it was delicious. The house style beans had a spicy kick as did the omelette with green chillies. So if you're not a fan of spice I suggest to get the Full English instead. Not keen on the sausages but the mashala chai was yum......the door didn't shut fully and the wind was blowing in so we changed our table. My omlette is hiding under the chips.

Not gonna lie, one of the best halal breakfasts I've had. Went for the BIG BREAKFAST and it didn't disappoint. Incredibly generous portions, quality ingredients and amazing taste. Why 4 stars then? Their service is below par, the person that greeted us genuinely didn't want to be there, very abrupt and harsh.. plus they only had 3 options available for breakfast out of their entire menu. Get past all that, the food was amazing, very reasonably priced and definitely warrants a return! Cons: cash only (no card machine) and toilets have been out of service for a while.

Awarding two stars only because of the very timely delivery of the food and my order was correct. I ordered the “popular” chicken and mushroom pie with mushy peas and mash as my sides. Was left utterly disappointed- chicken and mushroom pie was very crusty, overcooked pastry and very dry inside, barely any sauce and the chicken almost cooked to a mince. The mash potato was lumpy, and very very dry, mushy peas had a weird aftertaste. I was most appalled by the presentation- I received my order in the yellow polystyrene boxes which isn’t an issue at all- except when I received my meal it had all slopped together to one side into an unappetising mess, and I do wish they had at least covered the base with some paper etc. As the way it was presented in the yellow boxes looked slightly disgusting..

MAshallah amazing food and service, the guy was so sweet and gave us free dessert, the food was honestly 10/10, really recommend the big english breakfast and the steak pie

We went for breakfast at 12pm only to find out they only do it during weekends. Really good pies, i don't know why i was suprised crust was nice and buttery. Cajun chicken was cooked to perfection not dry and full of flavour. Downside, its cash only even thought they have ubereats thats why 3 stars

This place is perfect for a treat for breakfast. Despite it being called 'Pie Factory' their breakfast menu is vast and the selection is lovely. We had pancakes which come with maple syrup and delicious fresh fruits and some cream cheese the presentation was very impressive and the taste was fresh and delicious. They do lovely Indian Chai too. Good value for money. Clean and the decor with the plants is a lovely touch. Staff also friendly and helpful.

Fantastic food with great flavours. The chicken and mushroom pie was delicious and the spicy mash with infused chillis made such a stark difference to the norm. And the Naga spiced wings and mac & cheese was perfect. Thank you.

Food: Indian style paratha was frozen one, that was only bad thing. Other kind of breakfast have South East Asian touch in it, which was of its own kind and give a difference to taste buds. Fresh juice was another thing, that was NOT available. Parking: Parking is available on the side road, on the other side (York Road, Ilford). Bit tricky for new people in the area, due to one ways restrictions.

Sunday family brunch, glad that we hardly had to wait, tho it was busy. Decent varied brunch fusion menu. I enjoyed the Shakshuka (mild spice) but the others found their plates (Indian, English and Eggs Royale) so-so. Servings were ok, another slice of toast would have done. Ironically, no pies on the breakfast menu.

We went on a weekend at 2pm and found that only breakfast was served (until 4pm). Very disappointed as I've had their pies before which I really liked. Breakfast options were very limited and not as nice as their pies if I'm honest. No kids options.

Went with friends for a weekend breakfast. Four children under 10. The staff were attentive. Food looked amazing along with the taste. Going again.

Not the best place been there 3 times now and every time I've gone there for breakfast I've never been served breakfast. & It's a hit and miss place you either end up getting good service or you just get poor service. Don't think I'll ever be going again
