The staff were loverly. If I am constructive I would recommend to the owners that they clean the carpet, especially on the stairs. Sand and re-polish the loverly wooden floors and give it a lick of pain. It's being let go and instead of being a loverly boutique hotel its getting shabby looking.

We dine at The Kings Arms regularly but today we needed to be at home so the roast came to us! Delicious as always - the same quality and quantity as if we were there.

We arrived late morning, planning to have a drink while we decided whether to stay for lunch. The place has great views of the river and seemed well run, but when we noticed that the service seemed rather slow we decided to order food as soon as our drinks arrived, and were given menus. I asked a passing waiter for the wifi password, and he mumbled something about going to get the details for me. I saw him then go to the kitchen and start tending to food orders, and he never came back. The waiter who had given us the menus also never came back to take our order, but was taking orders from people who had come in after us - so once we had finished our drinks, we left.
