Awful food, fish was over cooked and dry, batter was like rubber no crunch at all.. the savaloy ive never seen anything like it looked totally inedible so it wasnt eaten. Food arrived just warm which also made the chips taste awful

Very disappointing Sunday lunch. The food was only warm and very bland. Carrots, beans and frozen peas, very small portion of beef I asked if they did a side of cauliflower cheese and had a very blunt no. The restaurant was chilly with no atmosphere. Such a shame when you are looking forward to lunch out.

I moved from Bedfordshire to Norfolk 18 months ago but return periodically to Bedford. This was my third stay at the D’Parys. I find the staff unfailingly polite and helpful. The rooms are quirky, but in a good way. The showers/bathrooms have always been really clean. The beds are comfortable and the bedding lovely. I enjoy the food, particularly breakfast, but I really enjoyed last night’s dinner. Parking is easy, either in the hotel’s carpark behind the hotel or for a small charge in the road in front. Importantly, though, as a female travelling alone, I feel really safe here. I enjoy a drink in the lovely bar after dinner. No problem whatsoever. I can throughly recommend the D’ Parys.

Our waiter Ben was great! He made us feel welcome and was friendly taking our order in a timely manner and completing check backs without causing inconvenience. Would definitely recommend anyone to be served by Ben!

amazing plate of freshly cooked fish and chips, gluten free for me and moule mariniere for my partner which was delicious with lovely crispy salted genuine baguette. Great view, would recommend and will be back!
