Central Cafe in Breckland

I had a very delicious Turkish breakfast and really enjoyed it. Some might say service is a bit slow (not us) but everything is cooked fresh so this should be expected. Service was very friendly. I recommend you try this little cafe. An interesting little gem.

A Busy little cafe. Clean and tidy throughout. Lovely food, hot and fresh. Friendly and kind staff reasonable priced food and drinks.

This proved to be a good choice for lunch. This is a traditional cafe, with a predictable menu, but the food was good quality and well presented. We were passing through the town and would certainly return to eat here again.

I've lived and worked in this area for about 25years (off and on). I am now more frequently in Thetford. I still often get served last or totally ignored when in a queue be it a cafe or restaurant. Here, I am treated equally, like a person. I am not ignored. I am grateful for this place, the staff and their food.

Ordered a meal deal which included a drink. Left the cafe to find no drink in the bag and it hadn't been offered. Food was pretty basic for the price.

I wouldn’t give the place a 1 star but in order to write a review I had to. Paid for a gammon steak meal and a cup of tea, took my payment and sat down to wait for my food , tea arrived first sat there for 20 minutes thinking they are taking a long time to bring my food so I said to the manager where is the food he said that I only ordered a cup of tea . Yea right so my cup of tea cost me in reality over £9 …. So people if you go in here check your order and change given.

Best coffee shop in town! Come here with my family every week and the staff are very friendly, food is tasty and its a great environment. Do not understand why this place would have any bad reviews! Best breakfast in Thetford!!

Can recommend the omelette and chips, and what other customers were eating looked very nice too. Good tea. Excellent value for money.

Staying at nearby Travelodge so only a short walk .Vast range of food on offer freshly cooked to order an very reasonably priced .Covid aware ,Recommended

Situated just a few minutes from travel lodge, making it ideal for breakfast. The menu is quite extensive but plenty of breakfast options and you can choose one meal and switch out. Food was hot and freshly cooked and the staff were friendly. A great Start to the day.

Been in for breakfast a couple of times. The place is extremely clean and the staff are very friendly. Everything was cooked well. Both tea and coffee were good. Would highly recommend to pop in.

Super friendly welcome when we called in for coffee. Looking at the menu and other people's meals, we will definitely head there for lunch next time we visit Thetford.

Been here before, 2 years ago - great all 'round cafe - hubby had liver and bacon (yeah I know) for breakfast, and I had egg bacon and chips - our daughter had a big full english with burger - juice and coffee all for £18. Coffee was nice (for a Cafe).....Hubby said the liver was cooked just how he likes it.............All good and they are open every day

There is nothing fancy here, but if you want a proper breakfast or lunch served with a smile in a clean and comfortable café at a reasonable price, this place is the answer.

Went to Thetford to do some dads army sightseeing just to the end of the main high street found this cafe. Very friendly people quick service food was good and plentiful, good value for money spotlessly clean. nice coffee too. Tiny niggle dreadful music behind the counter that unfortunately you can hear, heard this type of music before in the early hours of kebab takeaways.

They do full English breakfasts all day!! What else can I say😂 It’s always a lovely experience! They also do amazing milkshakes, it’s just perfect for hangovers or something quick!

Just discovered this lovely cafe! It's clean and bright, the staff are friendly and polite, the menu is varied, with several veggie options, the prices reasonable, the food is tasty and the portions are generous! Will defo be going there again!

Comfortable place if your alone as well as with friends etc. Good food reasonably priced and enjoyable if you are a lover of good old fashioned breakfast and brunches. Willing to change options if you don't see what suits you on the menu. Recommend and town is one minute away.

Lovely little cafe in town centre, walking distance of local car park near Iceland and pound stretcher stores..

After a busy event in town we popped in for a great cafe experience...and we weren't let down. The cafe has an extensive menu offering the perfect English breakfasts, burgers and other options like jacket spuds. I had the burger and chips (superb..portions are great), my colleague had the fry (looked and tasted superb) and a female colleague opted for a jacket spud with beans...well, the spud was on steriods, it was the largest jacket spud I'd ever seen...and it looked superb. Great prices, great cafe food, its now on the list of places to pop into when you need a great feed. Keep it up.

We were staying at the Travel Lodge, a few minutes walk from Central Cafe, and wanted to find somewhere with a cooked breakfast. We were very pleased on entering the cafe, as we immediately saw how spotlessly clean all the tables were. This to us was a good sign.

I gave this cafe good reviews last year but sadly this year it’s just average at best now,It’s family run so I’ve been told by the previous owner and the standards have fallen considerably especially the food coming out of the kitchen, some of the ingredients are over cooked and the portions are small. Also the family are so miserable no hello or thank you just nothing not even a smile. The only happy face was the young lady taking your order and I understand she’s not part of the family who now runs the cafe It’s such a shame because I couldn’t fault it last year.

Ended up having breakfast here as another local cafe could not whip up a basic omelette! It actually turned out for the best as husband had a great tasty omelette and I had a really good breakfast too.

What more can I say. I was in Thetford with the lads I work with, we went in for breakfast the food was cheap and disgusting. It looks nice from the outside don't judge a book by its cover

We came in this morning expecting standard breakfasts, yet we were pleasantly surprised with incredible breakfasts. With more than 4 options for vegetarians, we were extremely impressed.

Very good service and great food served quickly. It seems a very popular eaterie for locals and visitors.

Didn't know this place existed until today it was very clean and welcoming. We had a great breakfast today at Central Cafe, the staff were fab and the roast dinners being serve look amazing we will defiantly have to go back for one of them..

Menu is excellent plenty to choose from. Roast dinners are very good with excellent ingredients used. Very good prices to well worth a visit.

Had breakfast here as it is so near to the travelodge.(4th March) Place was clean and tidy and reasonably priced. Food came quickly and on hot plates.

Es fácil ser crítico de pequeñas cafeterías como este, pero Brownie Café Central grandes puntos de mi esposa y yo sólo nos llama para café, pero nos dieron algunas de las mejores expreso y capuchino que he tenido (y se sirve con una gran sonrisa). A juzgar por las comidas de los otros clientes, todo el mundo estaba comiendo bien y disfrutar de lo que tenían. Bien hecho Café Central.

Good everyday cafe, clean if a little noisy because of popularity among local as well as visitors. Usually space at busy times but just occasionally can be busy. Wide choise of very reasonbly priced menus.

Great place to eat cold or hot food and any drink I.e hot/cold, I had the corn beef omelette with side salad an chips my friend had the cheese omelette an she don't always like too fatty foods but this was lovely and hot not too fatty also lovely and clean cafe with friendly staff and table service will visit again.

Dropped in for lunch and was impressed by the size and quality of the simple fare served by this unpretentious café.Two big meals with bread, butter and a big mug of tea for less than £10 represented excellent value.If you want a satisfying, simple English meal then this café would be hard to beat.

Am a regular to this cafe since it opened, usually with my fiancé and stepdaughters, as are my Mum and brother. Food is always excellent, love the generous portions and very reasonable prices. The staff are polite and helpful and the place is always clean and tidy. I wouldn't eat anywhere else in town, nothing else beats it! :-)

This place is the typical cafe around the UK, breakfast served most of the day, sandwiches, burgers and coffee/tea drinks. The place is not bad, but it is not above anything else. The staff is very friendly and overall I would return for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch.

Went in for lunch during a visit to see the Dads Army museum. The staff were all friendly, the food was very nice and well priced and everything was very clean. Certainly worth going to if you are on a budget or want to stay away from the chains.

Would recommend this place, especially if you're on a budget (major plus point for me that it's not part of a chain) huge meals at bargain prices. friendly staff, nice decor, and right in the town centre. Good choice of meals that satisfy the appetite and the purse. would def. go back to eat there. Good veggie choice too.

What a great cafe the food was fab... portions huge.. try the tuna jacket spud and salad yummy. Excellent value hope to be back one day highly recommended.

I'm not a regular but if ever I'm in Thetford and in need of a breakfast the Central Cafe is where I will head for. They have a variety of breakfasts and several are sensibly priced at £5 this includes tea/coffee and two slices of bread & butter. The breakfasts are both tasty and of a satisfying size.

This cafe in white hart street called central cafe is a little gem me and my wife went in for a meal and were surprised . The presentation and quality of the food is outstanding. The cafe is clean and the servis excellent - certainly worth a visit.

Had a lovely breakfast today at Central Cafe. There is so much choice on the menu with realistic prices unlike other cafés. The place is very spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and polite. Well done guys.
