Went in and stood at the bar for nearly 10 minutes and were completely ignored! Went to Newcastle Tap instead and bought 4 rounds , spending nearly 50 quid. Get ur staff trained to acknowledge customers and perhaps you won't lose the business.

Aww so cute. Was going to go to jalou or science but so glad I ended up here. Staff were lovely, not a usual pub where people can't be bothered to speak to us, they were great and made the experience worth while. :) so happy I wrote the review while I'm sat in here!!

Amazing bar staff and drag queens, welcoming always leave with my sides aching from laughing so much. Want a better night then the mundane boring seedy bars in newcastle, then get yourself to #Central, you'll love it.

Visted Saturday Night 15/10/16 with friends from Scotland. Had a great couple of drinks then went for a wander. The Drag DJ and bar staff make everyone welcome and the start of a good night. Thanks x

We visited this bar on a saturday night and found it packed but still found a seat reasonbly quick. It,s not the cheapest place iv,e been to but it had a good atmosphere but the thing i was amazed with was the building itself the walls and ceiling are beautifully designed with various panels and marble all around. As far as the bar is concerned we had a couple more drinks and probably visit again.

The amount of racist and smutty jokes from the dj (grace black) was horrible! Left my drink.. Won't be coming back! Also referred vegetables to disabled people! Sick!

I have both worked and drank in this bar on and off for years. However its really changed for the better the past year. New management, new staff, new faces, new look. Its a breath of fresh air to have a fun, friendly clean and camp bar on the scene. Its getting busier and busier and as a regular its almost like a 2nd home. Its located in the gay scene but due to the locathon of the hotels, theres a great crowd of stags and hens and birthday groups who visit newcastle. After the recent refurb there is now a Great new food menu for a breakfast or lunch time snack. Every night brings you a different vibe with various drag and dj hosts. The drinks are reasonably priced too. Cant grumble at a bottle of wine for 5.50 can ya? 3.00 a house double spirit with mixer. 1.00 shots. Definatly worth a visit if you havent been. I guarantee it wouldnt be your last visit. Weekday or weekend its guaranteed to make you want to come back and enjoy the camp family vibe ☺

Brilliant value for money. Fantastic atmosphere for the Caraboe Cup today. Very friendly and safe environment. The staff work really well together and efficiently. I highly recommend this pub for family/friends meeting

The food here is utterly woeful, at least the Sunday lunch. Clearly just supermarket food warmed up (or in some cases, not even warmed up). We waited absolutely ages for our food, and the server was completely unapologetic. We were a large party, that they knew about. We ordered in advance, and then confirmed a couple of hours prior. By the time the beef and pork started coming out (sitting on the counter, not being served), a few of our party had finished. Not on at all. Not once did they explain what was going on. We just waited and waited, and the dishes were coming out more or less one at a time. If you can't cope with large orders, don't accept them, but if you do and you can't cope, just let us know. Don't make excuses after the event. Tell us beforehand or at least apologise for the wait. Price-wise, £16 for a bought in roast is a joke. £14 for a pie clearly bought in from Heron and cooked by Chef Mike is offensive. The veg was washed out and over cooked. The gravy was tasteless. With so many other places in the vicinity to eat, this is bottom rung. Like I said, it's not even cheap. Not worth it on any level. (This is my opinion only, and not necessarily the opinion of anyone else in our group)
