Lovely food, even when catering for 60 plus. Spoilt a little by the scaffolding noise in the wind.

Had a great stay at this hotel, amazing staff who all was really friendly and professional. Really good rooms and food, especially the breakfast great facilities in the pool with sauna and steam. And the location is between 30 and 40 minutes for sightseeing, including Mt Snowden and Castle Conway not to mention Caernarfon Castle which is 5 minutes away walk. Definitely recommend perfect little spot.

We only had a 2 night stay. Even like this the staff was amazing, the food great and the facilities great as well considering the age of the hotel.

The rooms need refurbish, with the doors leading to the rooms all scuffed. Worst thing was we had a parking ticket despite using the parking machine on reception and even when we appealed the ticket the appeal was not over turned despite providing evidence. Overall left bad taste and won’t be using this place again. BE AWARE PARKING SCAM IN ACTION. I’d rather sleep in the car next time

We recently stayed at the Celtic Royal Hotel with our dog, and we have to say, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully decorated and well looked after, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The food was superb; we had both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. The hotel really caters well for dog owners, too – they provided a lovely dog bed, a bowl, and even a little doggy gift bag with a ball and treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also made use of the spa, and it was lovely – a perfect way to unwind and relax after a day of exploring. The staff were friendly and eager to help with any questions we had, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect as well – plenty of parking, a shop just across the road, and only a short walk into the town centre. There are also plenty of lovely walking spots nearby, which was great for us and our dog. All in all, we’d highly recommend the Celtic Royal Hotel to anyone looking for a dog-friendly getaway. We’ll definitely be visiting again!

10 of us came here for a family meal over the Christmas period. I had talked with the events organiser before who had helped sort out a menu and made sure all people, including those wanting vegan food, were catered for. When we arrived the table was set for us and looked festive. The staff were helpful. The food was freshly cooked and very good with no massive wait between course. ( Useful when you have younger children in the group.) All in all a lovely experience. Thank you to everyone involved.

The rooms all had a distinct strong smell of an old library (not in a good way) the staff were nice but made many mistakes throughout our stay. The bed and pillows were highly uncomfortable, and not to mention the shower was EXTREMELY bad with the water pressure being so low that it’s hard to get a Drizzle out. The food was disgusting everything cooked either undercooked or overcooked and highly salted. And the parking is constantly full so you have to squeeze in between some of the parks up on top of a steep hill.

Just stayed here over Christmas, our room 115 was superb, comfortable bed, large bathroom, only missing a decent shelf for toiletries, only 2 small ones over the basin and toilet, it was very quiet to say it overlooked the road, staff were extremely polite and helpful, my only real gripe was the uninspiring Christmas menu, food was hot, tasty and plentiful, but come on chef where was the Christmas inspiration, would certainly stay again.

What a lovely hotel and staff. We stayed with our husky and felt super welcome. Even had our own ‘private’ dining dog friendly area super nicely sorted as an alternative because we can’t go in the restaurant with dogs. Also left a goodie bag for our Skye and provided a bed and a bowl for her to use during the stay. Totally recommend this hotel. What a lovely surprise

booked for 3 nights, stayed an extra night, reception staff wonderful, helpful and friendly, as were the dining room staff. breakfast excellent, evening dining large portions, menu not always to my taste, but that was due more to my personal preferences than poor menu, rooms pristine, swimming pool wonderful, and the young man that oversaw the pool was so helpful and friendly. i wiil be going back there to stay.

The Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon has some excellent features, particularly its location. Being so close to the town centre and offering convenient on-site parking makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. The communal public areas are very well-maintained and quite impressive, though, unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the rooms, which feel very dated and in need of modernisation. The food was a definite highlight, with the BBQ wings being especially delicious. However, the service in the restaurant was incredibly disjointed. Starters arrived after the mains, and each person in our group received their food around 10 minutes apart, which made for a frustrating dining experience. One standout part of our stay was the fantastic lady working at reception. She was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She is truly a credit to this hotel and to the hospitality industry as a whole. The pool, sauna, and steam room are excellent facilities—clean, well-maintained, and a real bonus to the stay. Overall, I’d consider staying here again because of the great location and facilities, but I would hope for a more modern and comfortable room next time.

As usual, everything was great again. Do I have to say something else? There is one small defect. The service with the foreign language could be improved. Not every visitor understands English.

The hotel is very dated and room are in dire need of renovation. The carpet was unclean and shower tray had mould growing. It was very noisy in the morning as if the generators were going or water pumps. The view from the window is as shown in the picture.

Upon arrival, we went down to the toilets and we were shocked at how sticky and dirty the stairs were and the toilets weren't much better, needless to say we didn't even stay for a drink.

We stayed for one night in this guest house which had excellent reviews but we were deeply disappointed, the room was very cold and the radiator was off to keep warm we used a small electric heater which was in the wardrobe hoping it wouldn't cause a fire; we had asked to have dinner and we were asked to go strictly at 6.40pm and no later, the dinner was nothing exceptional except the price was too high and not proportionate, the owner didn't give us time to finish eating as he was already ready to take the plate away from us; the breakfast was poor and nothing exceptional. It certainly does not reflect the reviews made by other guests and of all the places where we stayed this was truly terrible.
