Excellent bar, small but full of character and charm. Excellent beer and atmosphere. We go to mevagissey every year and it's always our go to place for a pint.

A locals pub in the heart of Mevagissey

First time in Mevagissey and we found this little gem, good beer at very descent prices compared to some of the pubs. No food served here but it's a locals pub i reckon the staff are friendly and has got a great music selection small outdoor seating area. Next ime we are down there this will be our local.

Lovely afternoon drinking, locals allowed to have a full picnic, but tourists can’t have a small snack while drinking ???? They only sell crisps. Shame our party of 20 plus had to leave !!

Loved this small, hidden away bar in the heart of Mevagissey. There might not be a great choice in beer but that is more than made up for in the great reception from staff, friendly customers and good atmosphere.

What can I say ? Absolutely lovely welcoming place to have a drink. The staff, local drinkers and those just visiting are lovely. We did the quiz night last night and we are here again, loving every minute. Price wise it’s much cheaper than other places too. Could do with a better ale selection but you can’t have everything. If you are down give it a shot as you won’t be disappointed. A local away from home.

Welcomed in some out of towners looking for somewhere to watch the football. Barman was courteous enough to let us know the band would be setting up in front of one screen and changed the channel for us on the other. Recommended if you're looking for somewhere to watch sports in Mevagissey!

A toxic and problematic framed sign saying “Rehab is for quitters” is placed on the wall. I expressed my concern to the member of staff working about how triggering this can be for people who suffer from alcoholism or any substance abuse. I was met with a patronizing, sheltered and arrogant response and was not listened to or hardly acknowledged. This bar is very bland and the staff were rude. Go to the two pubs a stones throw away. Avoid this place.

What an extremely friendly well stocked bar. I had the pleasure of meeting some of the locals including a beautiful lady called Gill. Thank you for the very warm welcome and of course the football.

We sat in the tiny outdoor yard at this venue the cleanliness of the tables left alot to be desired especially in the current climate

Checked if needed to book on a Sunday night but was told (because I don't have a local accent) all the tables were taken. Don't believe a word of it then or now ....

Fells like a local bar but very welcoming, would be awesome to see with live entertainment once restrictions are lifted.

Nice old pub in a beautiful part of the world. Obviously a favourite with the locals it was lovely to just sit and listen, drinking in the atmosphere and listening to their beautiful accents that reminded me of visiting my Cornish family many years ago.

Watched both the quarter final and semi final of England's world cup games in here. Great atmosphere

On a very, very hot day this was just the place to sit with a good cold pint, excellent staff and good beer.

Somewhere you go for a beer and a chat. Game of pool or watch the football. Proper pub. Good beer and barmaid is quality. Probably not for the 'gastro pub crowd. I love it.

My experience is similar to the previous review. Pleasant and helpful are not words that come to mind.

I have a full knee replacement and a small stroke 12 weeks ago. It is my first holiday, I was struggling to get down to the pier on 2 sticks where the toilets are. I stopped at The Cellar Bar I did not just walk into the toilets and use them I had the respect to ask. I was told by the lady for customers only. She could see I was in pain and struggling and would no way of asked normally, but because I am so slow I was desperate. So rude I hope one day she may know how this felt. I was in so much pain could not even sit and have a drink to use it. No regards to anyone that needed a smile and a kind word that day.

A nice little original style pub with some great beers on sale. Small beer garden at the front. Worth a visit.
