Celebrities Indian & Grill Restaurant in Cardiff

I ordered a Chef Special (Sylheti Naga) Yesterday (14/4/24) and it was one of the best curries that I have had in a long time. Fresh, flavourful and fantastically delicious . When I walked into the restaurant the waiters took care of me and made me feel like a celebrity. Outstanding customer service and food arrived in a quick timely manner. The decoration inside is mind-blowing and an incredible change from when I last went. Definitely would recommend to friends and family for either a takeaway or to go dine in. Celebrities will certainly not disappoint and will definitely make you feel like a CELEBRITY!!!

Sunday banquet meal. Lovely tasty food, nice restaurant, service good too. £12.95 pp for 4 courses great deal, loads food, lovely, everyone very happy. Cobra beer quite reasonable too. We will return.

Food was ok on my last visit but I have had nicer both here and elsewhere. Staff kept interrupting our meal for various reasons (they seemed to be looking for something to do as it wasn't busy when we went). Decor is tired and needs a refurb. All in all won't be going back.

Had really lovely evening at Celebrites, really enjoyed the food, the staff couldn't do more for you, I have been a few times at this restaurant, its always a pleasant experience.

Sadly this indian restaurant has gone downhill , was ok early days thou am happy they removed a staff member cought stealing of customers debit cards . Cold food received wasn't what we ordered and a promise to rectify this was obviously a load of tosh , very poor customer service too .

Came here tonight on a city break from Bournemouth for a few days. The waiting staff were lovely and attentive. Portions so generous we couldn't finish it all. Such lovely depth of real tadional flavours. Try the panner you will not be disappointed.

Just got back from a wonderful night at this gem of a restaurant. The food was amazing, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Big shout out for Amina our superb waitresses, there's not many Indian restaurants that blow my mind, congratulations celebrities can't wait to return i, keep up the the good work 👍👍👍👍

Excellent food as normal and love the new lay out For the less able bodied people they do find the new sofas hard to get onto and feel they are slipping so maybe have some chairs as a back up where they can sit at the end of the table

Great food, service, and atmosphere!

I ordered a takeaway yesterday from this restaurant for the first ever time. It was absolutely revolting to the point where non of it was eaten. Firstly, the delivery was late, the delivery driver was very rude and impatient and hammered on the door despite notifying on the order that I am disabled and to please be patient. Secondly, the food was stone cold, the curry has spilt in the bag and the popadoms were broken (as if they had been sat on). Despite warning the food up, it was disgusting and the whole order went in the bin. The naan bread was about 2-3 inches thick and raw in the middle. I never leave bad reviews unless I really have too but this was the biggest waste of £30 I have ever spent! If you like your curries or food in general then AVOID this place. Very disappointing

Although the food was good last night we were charged £6 for 2 lime and soda waters, plus I sent my second glass of wine back as it tasted awful, we were still charged for it although it wasn't drunk as advised it came from the same bottle as my first glass which I doubt very much, not happy at all with the amount charged for drinks

Ordered a take away from just eat. Which was a set menu and some extras. The food was beautiful. Came really quickly. Even had a free piece of cake which was a lovely gesture

An amazing meal from the Sunday banquet special menu. The portions were very generous and all the food was very tasty. We had a gluten free diner with us and this wasn’t a problem, we had a variety of choices. Service was also excellent.

Have this place twice now, since my favourite indian had closed. The 1st time the food was great so I went back a 2nd time - the second time the curry was still great but they decided to put chick peas in the prawn puree which ruined it. I have been ordering from here for a few years and always great quick delivery and a great meal. However this evening I was very disappointed and phoned to complain. I always say it's not about the problem it's the way it's handled and it was sorted out straight away with an apology and within 20 minutes they had redelivered the meal that was below their usual standard. We were massively impressed with our takeaway from Celebrities last night. Punctual and friendly delivery, high quality poppadoms, bhajis and samosas (not too greasy), followed by one of the best takeaway curries I've ever had (Lamb Chamili). I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Half full mid week. The place has a purple light interior that made the pictures I took a little weird in colour. Weekend away in Cardiff. This is the best Indian myself and my wife have had in a long time. The food was full of flavour, beautifully cooked and really tender meat. Large portions too. The restaurant is well looked after, calm relaxing atmosphere with great lighting. The service is very friendly and attention to detail is fantastic. We were made to feel very welcome and valued. Such a shame we are not local as we had a great three hours relaxing.

So disappointed. Had a lovely takeaway from this restaurant about a month ago, so I recommend to a friend we tried eating there. The chutney tray they brought to the table was dirty had to be sent back. Then the plate they brought to the table for the main table had to be sent back , the waiter could see it was dirty but still placed it in front of me. The keema nan had a tiny bit of keema around the edge asked for it to be changed. Then they brought a keema nan so full of meat it was like a sausage sandwich . With onions and sort of tikka on top so much keema was inside it made it taste fatty. Felt like I was having to complain all the way through the meal spoilt the evening.
