Went for lunch to this cafeteria was met with unfriendly miserable staff with no manners and so rude. Floor staff was wandering about with plates of food not knowing who they belonged to. I didn't bother to eat my food such as it was..a thrown together baked potato. Unbelievable slow service we had to queue for 15min . Wont be going back..not even a please or thankyou from staff who looked liked they didn't want to be there

Coronavirus has dealt a blow to this lovely restaurant we have visited it for many years on holiday and today was no exception. My husband wanted Stovies and I wanted a hot meal but there was nothing hot left so I opted for a ham salad . When it arrived it was nothing short of a disgrace and consisted of pink lint Tesco Style sandwich ham rolled up into cigar shape along with handful of lettuce handful of cheese 1 tomato and some sliced cucumber. In all fairness I asked to speak to manager who was a delightful young lady she agreed that on this occasion it was very poor and refunded all monies. Perhaps once it gets up and running properly it will get back to being the place it was I can only hope.

Have eaten here more times than I can count. Food is always good - home cooking and cooked on the premises right in front of you. Staff are always helpful and polite. There are some reviewers on here who have said otherwise - but I have no idea why they’ve lied - possibly their own behaviour was questionable. Myself, family and friends have all used it frequently over many years! The shops always worth a browse in too. My answers to the questions below would be pre lockdown so haven’t answered them.

Our party of six had a very enjoyable lunch yesterday. The restaurant is part of a large furniture (and many other things) shop. There is good parking at the back of the shop and one of our party was disabled and there was no problem with access with the wheelchair and there is a disabled toilet. The restaurant was very busy and possibly booking a table would be advisable. There is a varied choice of lunches, light snacks and soup and sandwich deals available. You can either order your meal at the counter or opt for table service. Service was quick and friendly and our lunches were very nice (superb Cullen Skink). Prices also were very reasonable. All in all a very enjoyable visit. Recommended

We reserved a table (a must, the queues are very long at lunchtime, even on a Monday) and ordered Cullen Skink (to share) followed by Haddock and Chips and it was excellent; actually it was better than excellent, it was perfect. The waitress was lovely and very patient considering how many people were demanding her (totally unflustered) attention. Absolutely recommended although you couldn’t go often as it is very expensive, especially for a lunchtime, but awesome food nevertheless. 4.9 out of 5 (lose a .1 because of the cost).

It is a pleasure for many older customers to find a restaurant which offers well cooked, traditional Scottish fayre as well as the contemporary standards. Traditional fayre is guaranteed to be on offer in this restaurant which will also be buzzing with customers. The popularity of this restaurant says it all. If I am ever in this area around lunchtime this is a mandatory stopping off point. This restaurant has a clean, pleasant, but busy ambiance and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The only downside is the queue which awaits customers which again certifies for the popularity and in turn the value for money awaiting customers.Old age pensioners might also be interested that there appears to be a 25% discount available for them on Thursdays. This is a without reservation recommendation. There is really nowhere better in the area for a drop-in visit at lunchtime.

Self service but very efficient. Place was clean and tidy and had very comfortable chairs, nice and upright for someone with a sore back like me. The burger I had was basic but the salad was a bit of a let down, just a few bits of iceberg lettuce, 1 cherry tomato halved and 2 slices of cucumber along with less than a tablespoon of coleslaw. Looking over at other tables I should have gone for the main meals of the day as they seemed to be decent helping of home cooked food. The place was busy with locals so obviously popular. The home bake that my wife had with her coffee was, however, very good. Overall a nice place to pop into even though we then spent a fortune in the main shop afterwards.

Busy restaurant, obviously well liked in the local area. Unfortunately felt a bit let down on the day. First of all, you order your food at the servery then they give you a number to place on your table. All good and well, when the food arrived there was no cutlery or condiments. Asked the waitress she pointed out an area near the servers. It would have been better if this had been pointed out at the point of sale. As I said it was busy, I then had to queue for this. Perhaps I chose the wrong meal as, looking at the other diners food it looked a lot better than mine.I didn't need a big meal so chose a burger, to be honest as this is a country restaurant I expected good homemade food. The burger was very thin and tasted very much like a cheap supermarket burger! Very rusk like taste, I have to say it was very disappointing as it certainly wasn't reflected in the price. All in all, I left underwhelmed, if I'm back in the village I might give them another chance but just choose something else, as I said the other diners food certainly looked better than mine.

Celebrations is a department store of the traditional kind selling furniture, kitchen ware, linen and bedding, menswear and ladies clothes and offers both shoppers and others the opportunity to have coffee and/or lunch. We made our purchases in the shop and whilst we had lunch the staff prepared our packages. We did not have a fully meal, only soup and a roll, but both our soups were well prepared and full of flavour. A selection of starters, main courses and deserts were offered on the menu. Been here for lunch a few times and always enjoyed the food. They serve generous portions and the staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. There are lunchtime specials which I think changes every day, the ones that I have had were good value for money and delicious.Hope to return again!

Lovely, independent department store - gifts, clothing, coffee shop. Well worth a look round next time you are in Turriff.

We were there during the Haal festival and the restaurant was very efficiently run and the food was great.

Lovely food served by lovely staff. Great meal and very tasty food, well presented. Even put candles in the desserts for the birthday boys. Thank you Buchan Braes.

This evening my friends and I were out to enjoy ourselves having a lovely meal. But that did not go to plan, as we had to wait 2 and a half hours for our food! (one of my friends order a steak which was flavourless and the other order a starter which was completely disregarded when asked about) Although waiter was very accommodating and trying his best to make our meals come quicker, the whole place is severely understaffed causing backups throughout the whole restaurant. As our food was taking a long time we were told we could leave and not wanting to deal with us in that regard. Overall I am very disappointed in the service I received this evening, either this place has to cut down it customer intake or find a way to accommodate this volume of people.

We had the most amazing afternoon tea experience in the Bubble. We can't praise the Banff Springs highly enough. This was a mini 'hen party ' and so much thought had gone into making this so special for the bride to be. Beautifully decorated, Beth and her team looked after us so well. The quality of the food and drinks was outstanding. A lovely afternoon was had by all. Highly recommend! A big thank you to all involved!

Good things : This cafe is in a great location and offers plenty of seating outside which is ideal for those with dogs. Not so good things : The coffee was ok although pricey for the size of cup. Cakes were nice enough, but had too much buttercream icing. Bad things : The layout of the tables inside is a bit congested. The volume and choice of music appears to be for the benefit of the staff because we, and those around us at other tables, to raise our voices to have a conversation.
