Been here a couple of times, food is always amazing and the staff are extremely polite. Especially the manager

Good food served at the truck in Sandy but disappointing to see a group of boys get free fries after I have just paid full price for a family of three seconds earlier. Just a little insulting if I am being honest, poor service.

Food tasted nice but the temperature needs improving. Nuggets were completely cold, chips were quite hot. Burger was alright but not in my taste to be honest. Definitely will come to try more positions from the menu. Good atmosphere but tables needs cleaning from time to time... even if is thriving with people and orders. In summary good experience. Service needs to catch up with the kitchen. Visit after a year. Food is good, no doubt. Experience of eating in is bad or even worse. Tables have thick layer of sticky dirt. I have no clue what it is but is awfully sticky. Guys. Honestly. Please sort this out, is putting of even from good food. It makes me think what's going on at the back🤢 Cawbonara Burger is amazing 💛

Staff were absolutely amazing! We had two babies with us and they were accommodating and helpful. Only reason for the 4 stars was the burger was very pink in the middle which I know is fine but not to my liking. Other than that, food was great!!

Visited tonight and drove from Enfield to see what we thought. Got to say the burgers are probably the best I’ve tasted. The chicken strips are great. The chips are another level. All of the staff are great and friendly. The owner came over to chat and told us where the beef came from where the buns are from. You can see his passion is in the food and he deserves to do well. If you like a burger you must go here

Popped in for the lunchtime cheeseburger/fries deal and was very impressed. One of the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten. Good beef, nicely charred served with excellent fries. Couldn't fault it and a bargain at £7.99👌

Normally a queue outside which says it all! An excellent choice away from the usual burger chains. The food is epic! Especially the chicken tenders with buffalo and blue cheese sauce!

Amazing burgers and the cheeseburger fries are a meal in itself (from the secret menu). Well worth a visit and worth the wait for a freshly made meal. Milkshakes are nice too. Mojito was strong according to our guest. We have been twice now and will be back again.

Servers amazing burgers with good portion size. The chicken fillers were juicy inside and crispy outside and would totally recommend. Will definitely re-visit!

This is our favourite spot for me and my mum to dine out. We love the jalapeño and halloumi styled burgers with fries on the side. Helpful and super friendly staff with top quality banta as always!

Update: down to 4 stars unfortunately. When getting takeaway milkshakes they make them immediately even if it takes 20 minutes to get the food. Even after asking. So they end up melting. Not a great experience as I’d like the shake with my meal especially given the price of them. Update: went back and got the Cawboy. SO GREAT. Love this place. Delicious. Fries crispy but fluffy inside. Burger perfectly seasoned. Will be going again.

Caws burger is easily my favourite burger spot and I eat a lot of burgers. I’ve tried a lot of places around Bedfordshire and London. Myself and my girlfriend come to Caws every month for the specials and how good the quality of food/service is. We’ve tried everything from shakes, strips and every months specials. We haven’t found anything we don’t like on the menu yet!

Visited cawburger on a late Sunday evening as a family of 4. We travelled from Portsmouth as staying locally and use reviews to eat out in new areas. We ordered the special as a double patty, kids beef burger meal, BBQ Chicken and BBQ beef burgers both as Gluten free, cherry cola chicken tenders, Kiev fries, strawberry milkshake, can coke zero and 2x fruitshoots. Quality of food is very very good. Milkshake was banging! GF options brilliant. The chicken tenders were actually sold out but happily replaced as a chicken burger with the cherry cola sauce on top which we found very tasty. Personally the BBQ sauce was quite overpowering especially on the beef patty i was unable to taste the meat (maybe better If it was a double). Kids meal looked perfect. Kiev fries were very nice could have been a little hotter in temperature but still very tasty. Special burger was where my main issue was. I do understand the very nice quality ingredients used in a very nice brioche roll however i couldn't pick it up due to the puddle of beef fat in the box which some of it was soaked up by the bottom bun to the point I couldn't actually hold it. We did raise this issue with staff and who I believe was the manager/owner came to explain it is all cooked on a dry grill its the fat content in the beef itself. He instantly offered to refire a new one which as everyone else was nearly finished it wasn't visable but explained why the issue arose. If this issue could be resolved somehow then this could have definitely been one of the best burgers. Upon leaving, the manager/owner had refunded the special burger as an apology which was greatly appreciated. You don't get that service anywhere. Overall, service was excellent. Quality of produce excellent. Cost of soft drinks were a little pricy but overall bill for what we ordered was expected as we did our research beforehand. Will return and try again another day. Wish this company all the best with their future👍

Everything is good. I love the Chicken Shop burger. However, the buffalo fries is a bit overwhelming. The buffalo sauce is already strong tasting but the fries drenched in the sauce making it like eating pure sauce. This is the only thing left on our table.

I love going here as the burgers are just exceptional. My favourite is the halloumi burger, and the combination of flavours is great, although I would recommend not getting the extra patty as it’s easier to handle with the one (can get messy). Chips are nice too!

For a first date out we came here and the food was lovely and also the people who served us were all very welcoming and helpful

- The tropical mojito is great. - The chips are lovely. Some of the best I’ve had. - The burgers are 5.5/10. Bit too greasy for me and a double is not needed. Maybe the chicken burgers are better. - The tenders are bad. Not crispy, meaty or well seasoned. The Nashville just tasted like chilli powder. - Music was a bit too loud - They got some of the orders wrong.

Best Burger I’ve had in ages !!

Okay, so I have had a lot of burgers over the years, recent one's in London like storm burger, beer & burger etc. And boy, Caws Burger just beats them out of the park! I recently had the Oklahoma, and it was just DELICIOUS! hard to pick a fave as I've had Caws Mac, the chicken burgers but I think I have a new fave. Other than that, service was spot on, really supportive and no rushing or anything. I had it as a takeout but next time would like to dine inside. The meat is extremely good, and worth it all the way, my photo doesn't do it justice!

Got gluten free burger roll and chips . Not lying when I say best burger ever eaten . Would gladly come from Dunstable every week as a treat ! Well done Guys

I discovered Cawsburger a couple of months ago and visited them four times. The initial two times I had the Cawsburger then Cawboy takeaway and both were just fine. Two weeks ago, went with the whole family and tried the Cawsmac with double patty. That night when I got home, I had an upset stomach followed by diarrhoea. Thought it was a one off (due to them being busy perhaps) so went again today with a friend and we both had the Cawsburger with single patty. I’m disappointed to say it also led to upset stomach and diarrhoea. Could be a hygiene issue but I won’t be going there again I’m afraid! Never had this issue with other burger places I’ve visited.. For the price I’m paying, I don’t think this should be happening!

The food in this place is brilliant, I have travelled twice ,40m driving, to go there and have Burgers. On my last visit, I literally abandoned my hiking friends to go and collect a takeaway and was so worthy 😍

Back when they were a lockdown popup they were producing what was probably one of the best burgers in the country. Unfortunately, since opening their own store, the quality of their food is mid at best. Fries are still great though. An unfortunate outcome for what was a really promising start ):

Amazing food and atmosphere, had lunch today with work colleagues, i had a burger, skin on fries and shared some cherry cola strip, they were delicious so juicy, bonus there was a busker outside playing music, will definitely return.

Despite “glowing” reviews (hype) and lots of instagram posts from influencers praising cawsburger I was left dissapointed. I visited the cawsburger at the snug in StAlbans location. Location was quite cold smelt musty and dirty with the use of bleached cloth, tables still had remnants of spilled drink and food, furniture worn out. Burger was very plain tasting no seasoning and lacked any flavour quite rubbery and swimming in grease, which made the bun soggy. Fries were just as plain and very unseasoned despite the mountain of cheese dust on top. Trying too hard to copy shake shack. Won’t be returning.

Food is amazing but wouldn’t mind bigger portions.

My husband thoroughly enjoyed his ‘CawsMac’ burger! Juicy & tender…… Up there with the best burgers he’s had. 🤌🏻 We loved our ‘Cowboy Fries’ the crisp onions really topped it off! My ‘buffel Ho’ chicken burger was also really great. The chicken was juicy, yet lovely and crispy. My only MINOR criticism is that there was a bit too much sauce for my preference. HOWEVER, I’d still have it again. You have repeat customers in us. Well done guys!

The service is great and so is the food. The atmosphere is beautiful. The employees are very kind and the food is served very quickly. I would definitely come here again and I would recommend this restaurant.

As far as the food, it’s the best burger spot I’ve tried in Hitchin. There are others and they’re not bad but Caws burger stood out as I’ve recently done a burger crawl loolll. Meat is not over cooked and dry, bun is super tasty and fresh, fries are fresh. I hope they NEVER scrimp on the quality of their produce because that would lose them customers. They’re more than the average burger joint taste wise- they mean business! I never give anything a 5 as there’s always room for improvement so take the 4 to be a 5 I guess.

Finally a great burger place! Have been there multiple times and we will keep going. All their fodd is excellent but especaiily the burgers. Their beef patties are amazing, containing actual beef and they are always super juicy! They have a tone of Gluten free options as well, which as a gluten intolerant, it makes this place my go-to choice. Hand made fries and their GF buns are great, compared to other places where they are either too small or too dry. Even when we take out, their buns are still nice and hot. Their fried chicken is also GF but my husband cannot tell a difference. It's great that they also change their menu and have specials, like the one with fries and beef only we recently tried! Amazing!!

This place is epic. Went for the first time yesterday for lunch and I already want to go again. Went for the cawsburger which as you can see from the photo was delicious. Meat tasted sooo good. Had kiev fries which were truffle and garlic. Again a win. But the star of the show was the cherry cola bbq chicken wings. They were out of this world. Go here just got those. They were cooked to perfection and had such a nice taste. They’re amazing. I will definitely go again

I am vegetarian but my partner enjoyed the burger. I had the vegetarian burger and unfortunately it was really disappointing. The Kiev fries were very nice. Overall though we are not sure it’s worth the money.

Cawsburger is one of the best things about Hitchin!!! My only gripe is that no other burger lives up to these, rendering all other burger experiences slightly disappointing....! The burgers are meaty perfection, crispy edged yet juicy, the chicken is moist & tender & the choice of toppings/sauces is incredible. Staff are fabulous, drinks are great and all in all it's top marks from me. Thank you ❤️

Both the beef and chicken burgers are great, rotating specials means I never get bored of the menu either. Sauces/toppings are top notch. Don’t overlook the sides and milkshakes. The strips and fries are both tasty. Would especially recommend Nashville strips and chip shop fries. Service is always friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to grab some napkins, as things can get messy (in a good way!). Have also tried them via Go Getters and always found the food travelled well. A tasty ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

I aaaaabsolutely love this place. Have been many times and often pick it as my birthday treat! Love the flavour combos but my fave is the double caws. Simple but amazing. Beef is high quality, buns are lush. Highly recommend.

My worst restaurant experience of 2024. I went to Cawsburger following a lot of the hype. I was greeted by a sterile environment, and even more sterile staff. The boy who took my order had his feet on the counter and was sat like he couldn't care less if I had lunch there, and cared less if I enjoyed it. After being refused physical menus, my friend and I ordered a few things to share. Sat in the clean, plastic coated and empty restaurant I found myself feeling in a limbo space between McDonald's and Hollywood Bowl. Our food came and I started with the Cawsburger. A burger designed purely for the eye, but never for the taste. It was wet and mushy, greasy and lacking in any real flavor other than cheese and a mayonnaise based sauce. It was as though the chef had learned to cook purely through watching TikTok videos and wasn't allowed to taste anything he made. Is this company policy? Major dissatisfaction. The second was some Korean style nuggets. If you have sainsburys frozen chicken nuggets, Sriracha and honey, you don't need to come to Cawsburger, this is the recipe. The chips were fine. Cawsburger is the sort of restaurant where Instagram likes matter more than customer experience, a burger is meant to be photographed not eaten, and where mixing prebought sauces with mayo is considered 'cooking'. In a town with so many great independent restaurants, don't waste your time here. Chicken George is waiting for you my friend, Cafe 77 and Cantina Carnitas welcome you with open arms. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Definitely the best burgers I've ever had. Have tried a fair few of the options now, the 'Ham Jam Thank You Ma'am' is definitely the favourite, closely followed by 'Every Day We're Trufflin'. The fries are all top tier as well! Great service to top it all off. Would 100% recommend to a friend!!

I came to cawsburger because I heard great things about it, travelled an hour to try it out! Waited long for the food, burger was dry… service was shocking aswell.. I will definitely not be going back again, will be stopping at McDonald’s more often and that’s saying something. Will also be telling people that want to go to not bother. When back in the area I always have to stop by at cawsburger! As a self confessed mayophobe it’s difficult to get a burger anywhere with any flavour that isn’t either dry or swimming in the stuff. The staff at cawsburger always smash my specific request of ‘a thin layer only for the flavour but so I don’t really know I’m eating it’ Love all their specials, they’re killing it. Can’t wait to try out their new St Albans location. Keep doing what you’re doing. The chips were great.
