Cavo Restaurant in Camden

Cancelled on a 12 people reservation for a Saturday evening the night before. Unbelievable. Would avoid making big plans there at all costs

Lovely restaurant with some good views across the city. Nice spacious feel to the restaurant. Food was very tasty. A good selection of Mediterranean dishes. Some of us shared a few tapas style which was plenty. A few shared the paella. Feedback was that it probably could have been bigger when sharing but it tasted good. Good selection of drinks also. Staff were helpful. Ladies toilet had no handryer! Not a criticism just a bit unusual and not great when you wearing nice clothes and going back to eat your meal!

Had an engagement party on the rooftop terrace...... Beware of staff adding extra costs after a couple of hours, presumably when they think people have had a few and won't notice. Staff were also clearing clearly unfinished glasses that were in front of people. On the plus side the location is lovely if a bit difficult to find

We booked the prey theatre menu for 5pm, thinking this would give us plenty of time to relax outside on the terrace on a beautiful warm evening - unfortunately the entire experience was a disaster from start to finish When we first arrived there was nobody at reception downstairs so had to wait and ultimately find our own way up. There were only 2 other tables occupied when we arrived, yet we still had to call a staff member over and ask them to take our order after 25 minutes because we’d been ignored up to that point. Food was very average when it did arrive, and our plates were cleared after main course at 6.45pm (We were seated at 5.10!) and we were under pressure to make it the theatre in time. As our plates were collected, I explained we were going to the theatre (it was the pre-theatre menu after all) and asked if we could have the bill. After another 10 minutes waiting, we eventually had no choice but to walk to the desk to pay our bill so we didn’t miss the show. When I told the member of staff we were in a hurry and couldn’t wait any longer his reply was ‘Sorry mate I’ve a job to do’ Charged full price for all 3 courses despite only getting 2 of them, and no mention of it at all. Extortionate price even if we’d had all 3, and for a final laugh, the menu states clearly that you ‘can enjoy your dessert after the show with complementary bubbles’ - when we enquired about this, the staff hadn’t a clue what we were talking about Overpriced, very average food and staff who don’t seem to know what their job is (and one guy who’s just incredibly rude) Go somewhere else - we spent a long time trying to decide on somewhere really nice for a pre theatre meal, don’t make the same mistake we did

Amazing hospitality and great tasty food! The restaurant and rooftop bar is located in the Outernet building next door to Tottenham Court Road underground station. It's taken over the fourth floor of the development and offers an all day dining experience. First we had cocktails on the rooftop looking over Tottenham Court Road accompanied by a lovely meal in the restaurant next door. The choice of dishes were pretty good and all served with perfect service. The food came out with no delays and we were certainly looked after by the waitress who ensured our drinks were poured throughout.

I rarely have anything to write home about my London restaurant experiences - but wow! what an afternoon we had with my friends! Amazing service, lots of good food and sangrias as well as live entertainment. Super impressed! Bottomless sangria and Spanish food, absolutely gorgeous Basque cheese cake to end the meal with. We were there over 3 hours and all that time felt really well looked after! A great location as well!

Cavo is truly something special. From the excellent service to the fantastic cuisine there is little to be said beyond fantastic!The lasagna and burrata were spectacular and I cannot wait to come back soon and try everything on the menu. Cheers!

The service and food was excellent. I really enjoyed the lasagne and the tagliolini. Great place with options for vegetarians as well. Definitely will be back again. The food was delicious!

Amazing first experience at Cavo. The aesthetics of the place are impressive and really work for a special occasion. Love love loved the food - from the burrata platter starters, to the lasagna and paella mains, no compromise on taste or quality was made. Defos not my last time there.

Despite, or possibly because of, the dreadful review of Cavo by Jay Rayner in The Guardian, we had an excellent, leisurely lunch at Cavo this week. Yes, the restaurant had very few diners, but both the service and the food were excellent. Where I would agree with Jay is the the best thing on the menu was the ‘Greek’ chips (although I have never seen those in Greece), but all the rest of the food, we all agreed, was also excellent. Expensive, yes a bit, but OK for a special, family get together that lasted 3 hours. Go there, relax and enjoy before too many others discover it.

This restaurant made our week in London! Such a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere as soon as we stepped through the door. The food was top notch, highly recommend the seafood dishes, we shared the sea bass and lobster and it was simply superb. We will be back for sure!

Attentive staff. Wonderful cocktails. Beautiful views of one of London’s most beautiful hubs. The terrace in summer is a place to unwind and catch up with friends. The food we were served was impressively flavoursome and the portions were generous. The music is vibey and adds to the whole experience. Definitely worth a visit. Treat yourselves!

Atmosphere was fantastic and we had a great time on the open roof top. Food is top notch and deserts just out of this world! Cheese cake is a must! Staff was attentive and well trained. Definitely recommend!

Dreadful restaurant. Had booking for special friends to celebrate a forthcoming marriage . Cavo restaurant cancelled at last minute. 2 days before. People arriving from all over UK. Had to scrabble around for venue for 9 people. Appalling. Don’t trust this restaurant for booking.

Took my husband for a pre theatre dinner but decided to go with the A La Carte. We had the Seafood platter which had more black stones decorating the plate then seafood. The smallest Oysters I've ever seen and tasteless. Everything was in a shell...

Be grateful I am the seventh person to leave a review after the restaurant has been open for six months or so. Firstly it will cost you roughly £75 per person for dinner with no alcohol. The dishes to be fair are average, all meats...

The food was very fresh and cooked to perfection. We had the traditional and gimlet specials for drinks and both were very tasty! The service and ambiance was top notch too.

Beautiful location, amazing food and wine unique combinations of flavours and very creative presentation. They make drinks based on your preferences , which is fun! This is a newly opened place in Central London and can't wait to enjoy the summer dinner on their roof...
