Love this place- have been getting takeaways here since 1990, and it's always great. Love the veggie versions of dishes they do ! You usually get a small discount if you go in to collect it yourself. Large portions as well !

Very disappointed, with all the good reviews it had we expected a good meal, our meals tasted reheated the onion barges were hard and not tasty and the rice was dried out. We won't go there again.

I get very nervous trying new Indians but caversham tandooris is my absolute favourite! Not too greasy, great spice level, lamb in any of their dishes is too tender melt in the mouth! I'm working my way through the menu but my favourite has been having a masala daal in this bad weather and stuffed paratha 😍 the team seem so lovely and friendly!! Also for the price I think it's amazing!!

Onion basis were absolutely crisp and not dense inside. Spot on. Lamb in the lamb balti was melt in the mouth. Very enjoyable

This is the second time, I have orderd from this place the food was amazing with lots of rich flavour in the chicken tikka dansak. I will be using this place as my regular indian from now on. Love to have their food. I have had takeaway food. Good packaging. Being an Asian I can recommend their food to Brits as they are not too spicy to handle. We had a lot of dishes and were able to taste loads of flavours!

I really love this place. For the price, they offer generous portions and always provide complimentary extras. I usually get my takeaway delivered but sometimes collect it. Will keep coming back and I definitely recommend to others!

I have used this Indian take away for many years!!!My family and myself have never been disappointed , it is always fresh, hot and definitely one of the best curries in Berkshire! The management and staff are extremely friendly and polite and I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

I've been ordering from here for the past 20 years. Compliments to the chef Bosour. They are very professional especially the chap at the front. The food taste great and authentic. I hope to be ordering my weekly food from here soon.

No sé por dónde empezar. He estado buscando comida india para llevar durante los últimos meses en Reading, que pueda hacer comida india original sin comprometer la calidad y el precio. Me alegro de no haber pasado más por la idea de pensar en dónde ordenar. Excelente servicio que siempre pone a sus clientes primero y los chicos no se dejan engañar por el frente de la tienda, este lugar es definitivamente una joya en el área.

Ordered for the first time today, and I genuinely couldn’t fault the meal at all.Everything was piping hot, and tasted very authentic. Wasn’t the usual greasy Indian takeaway you’d get. Will definitely be ordering again. Thanks for the lovely meal!

Absolutely fantastic food, and the customer service is excellent . The vegan curries we had picked were some of the best ever tasted, and were definitely on a par with the ones we had on our travels around India last year. Couldn't have picked a better take away on our first visit to this area...if you are ever in the area, you must try it.

I've just ordered from just eat. I'm in actual shock. I've never had a Indian so bad. I literally am in total shock. The yoghurt was off. Bitter and watery and off. Just no other words to describe. It was out of date. They served me that?! Heavily pregnant so that's dangerous. Awful. I ordered a prawn korma it was like water. And I'm not exaggerating I've ordered from every Indian going and I've never had one like this. The rice was hard and they sent me half of a popodom. Ok the popodom was free but they sent me half of one ? I dont understand. The food tasted so awful it was inedible. This is not an exaggeration. I don't know what happened tonight but I'm extremely upset that I wasted my money. I've literally had Tesco ready meal Indians that were better this is not an exaggeration. This was the worst of the worst. Sorry but I cant say anything other than that.

We are quite new to the area and had tried two Indian takeaways before tonight...both were awful. So we tried Caversham Tandoori and were very impressed- much better than the others we had tried. The food was great and also really impressed with the delivery service. Didn’t have to wait too long at all despite the really heavy snow and treacherous roads! Thanks to the delivery driver!

Hemos tenido curry de Caversham Tandoori antes y nos sorprendió gratamente.Sin embargo, la última fue un poco decepcionante en antes. No ricos sabores, arroz frío contra físicamente hot curry arroz platos significa que probablemente fue pre-hechos y no calentado lo suficiente. Platos principales (curry de pollo Pollo Tikka Masala, y cordero con espinacas Jalfrezie) eran inusualmente sosa. Aunque el spice caliente como esperaba la Jalfrezie no tenía el sabor rico que estamos acostumbrados.En el lado positivo, el servicio era bueno, entrega inmediata y sin sorpresas, excepto un agradable de algunos poppadoms que estaban y salsas de la casa.Venga chicos, sabemos que se puede hacer mejor.

has something gone wrong here...used the takeaway for fifteen plus years... ordered a family meal tonight just short of fifty pounds. .lamb rogan hardly any meat and what was there very poor quality ..and a chicken shashlik which turned up as a chick tandoori and totally burnt ..so somebody missed out !! good luck everyone but I couldn't risk this takeaway anymore. .😕 poor poor

You never no what to expect sometimes very nice, sometimes so bland and oily its just a waste of money. Bombay potatoes always very nice. I think depending who is working on the night = the quality of food.

The food is good but it's hit and miss if you get everything you ask for. On 3 different occasions we were missing something from our order, to be fair if you ring them up, they do bring out the missing items as soon as they can which is okay if you don't mind having your dinner in two sittings.

This is a takeaway and not a restaurant. I picked up a byriani for tea. Firstly I noticed it only has 4 hygiene stars and the decor was pretty faded and poorly furnished. The staff were miserable. The food was pretty poor quality in my view. The vegetable dish was swimming in oil. Not a pleasant first experience and I won't be going back. I usually go to the bina a couple of doors up on the same street. It's more expensive but the quality is what you should expect from a restaurant. Sorry but a disappointment

Food was disappointing and service poor. The same sauce was used in all the dishes we ordered, some were vegetarian and other meat.

This was my first experience with this place and I can say that they have worst food you can imagine. I had ordered reshmi kebab,chicken korma and caversham special dish . Food was yucky and I threw everything in trash .real real bad.

I have always had a good take away from this place and would gladly recommend it to others. Price is higher than some other takeaways but so is the quality of the food and cooking so don't mind paying for it.

Been ordering from here since before I can remember. We have had a couple of issues over the years (it is to be expected for the hundreds of meals that we have had as a family) but they have always dealt with any problems promptly and professionally. Excellent service as well as food. Fully recommended. The locals know these things!! DO NOT TRY ANYWHERE ELSE.

I lived in Caversham for 25 years and have recently returned after a 9 year hiatus. I was always a regular visit to Mr Miah and the Caversham Tandoori and worried that after such a long absence it would have lost its sparkle. How wrong I was.

Excellent service, excellent food. I would rather eat in my own home and forego the restaurant experience simply because this takeaway is THAT GOOD. Go Sunday through Thursday and get an amazing deal: popadom, naan or rice, curry, starter and side dish for £10.95.

Super little take-away - we use it at least once a month and have never been disappointed. The menu is a mix of the standards and some great specials - I would always try a new dish but my wife will stick to her favourites. Quality is excellent and not expensive and you don't have to wait long for your meal - just enough time to nip across the road for a pint in the Baron Cadogan! Pakring is tricky but there are car parks near by. Highly recommended. Home delivery is now available.
