Lovely food. And lovely staff. It's a shame that more people don't know about this little gem. Please don't be put off because it's on the main road it's been really nicely done out inside. Thanks for a lovely evening

This restaurant serves the best Italian food I have ever eaten. The RAVIOLI ALL' POMODORO was absolutely delicious, really melt in your mouth stuff, and super super tasty as were the pizzas. The Italian guys that work there are all so kind and friendly and remembered us after just one visit. We sat outside and the music was playing and it was a wonderful evening. The decor inside is really amazing, overall the best restaurant I have eaten in, in the UK, in a very long time. Highly recommended!!!

We were welcomed in a friendly and were unhurried with our choices, we had various starters, all of which were enjoyed. Our mains were linguini alla pescatore, salmone piatto pieno, pollo alla Sorrento and pollo alla cacciatore, everyone found their meals tasty and were very satisfied, accompanied by a pleasant bottle of rosé wine. We rounded off the meal with the traditional desserts of gelato misto, tiramisu and profiteroles, all in all a very pleasant meal in a relaxed atmosphere, we will be definitely return!

Another memorable night at Piatto piano with my family with an Amazing food. Delicious food, waiters are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere. Plus it’s all at an affordable price. Can totally recommend it and will definitely come back again.

Booked a table for the 15/07 through their website. It was stating that it is opened. We booked a taxi to the restaurant and it turned out it was closed.. don't understand why It didn't state on the website its closed for renovation..

We randomly popped for a dinner, the welcome was nice. Place is nice and cosy. Staff were nice and friendly. We had pizzas, these were actually really nice. Good value for the whole dinner. Would come back.

Absolutely fantastic! Little gem of a restaurant all on its own on a main road in Branksome, Poole but what a treat! Friendly, professional and very hospitable with delicious fresh food. Soheil provided great unobtrusive service throughout. Would recommend.

Finally, a restaurant that cooks pasta at the moment. I ordered the linguine with seafood and was delighted. As Italian, I ate for my first time the best pasta in Bournemouth. It was well cooked and the portion was the good grammes. The seafood was fresh and the condiment was delicious!! For a while, I felt at home. Good food, nice staff! The tiramisu was yummy! The expresso coffe with the cantuccino (Italian almond cookies) was the top! All flawless on food and drinks! If good connoisseurs of Italian food would like to feel in Italy, come to Piatto Piatto !! The chef is Italian and satisfied your request. The owner of a unique kindness and professionalism. The waiter is always attentive! All perfect! To come back and try the chef's new dishes!

We came back to Piatto pieno this weekend, after over four weeks,,it was Friday night ,,the place was very busy ,,but we were lucky enough to book a table,,,tried some different dishes this time and had a beautiful Carbonara and my friends had pollo Sorrento,,the pizza was very tasty to,,, the food was very well presented ; as always we never get disappointed,,and we’re not locals so we drove half an hour to get here,, despite was a busy Friday everyone had a great evening,, thanks again

Awful food, bitter olive oil, very low quality. the view is Tesco parking, 6 calamari as in the picture for 9 pounds. The man was rude and the service is poor. After we have eaten we are all ( 7 people) having stomach pain, we really think the bitter olive oil was toxic...

We had a beautiful experience on Tuesday night at Piatto Pieno restaurant,,the place was pretty busy as we sat there most of the night,, we both had a pepper fillet steak and was so nice presented ; the steak was very tender and the sauce delightful...thanks very much we will definitely come back

Went here during lockdown and sat outside. Amazing food and amazing service! The calzone was delicious and their pasta dishes are awesome!

Went out on Saturday night , early table with family of 6,, the restaurant terrace had a very nice set up,, and the tables well respected the safety distancing.. we all had beautiful food and generous portions,, my husband pepper steak was delicious and my friend had a seafood risotto:amazing,,my son’s pizza was beautiful and he couldn’t finish it all cause was huge, I really enjoyed my tiramisu at the end of the meal,beautifully presented...we will comeback

The restaurant were not able to deal with an allergy request in a professional manner. A lot of moaning and huffing when they were asked for the ingredients of a dish. Partly refused to show this to being with and made me feel very stupid for asking in the way they responded to my questions. They eventually brought out the food from the kitchen (not very hygienic?!) when I asked if they could take a picture of the ingredient lists on the packets for me. Not friendly and I would not visit again.

Very friendly staff doing the very bet they can in the circumstances, ie eating outside with the evenings still being chilly, The food was hot ad very well presented and it tested god too, we will return and hopefully be able to sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere of the place Well done guys and girls great job

Visited prior to lockdown for the first time, having previously been to the restaurant in Ashley Cross. This experience was as good as that. The service was attentive. The menu is extensive. Everything we opted for from garlic bread to pizzas to desserts was all plentiful and tasty in equal portions. Very good value too.

Had to order a takeaway this month because of lockdown 2.0 (can be ordered online but as we did.. just call up as provided children’s portions) We cannot wait to go back!

We had a family meal and everything was fabulous. Tasty sauce on the salmon, perfectly cooked veg and potatoes. Pizza was delicious. Chicken was succulent and juicy. Pasta with chicken was thoroughly wonderful. Service great and value for money.

Fuimos aquí porque no nos gusta el centro de Bournemouth y no nos decepcionó, no es barato pero es bueno y la comida era muy sabrosa y, aunque un poco ruidoso, tenía un ambiente encantador. Las mesas estaban bien distribuidas y tuvimos una gran noche y volveremos, gracias por una gran noche.

A lovely family restaurant with friendly staff and great food. Wandered in after finding Bournemouth over crowded and was greeted like a long lost relative!!! Between us we had steak pasta and pizza and none of us were disappointed.

Been back here the weekend and I had something different: the best pepper steak and best risotto in Bournemouth. The lady on the floor made us feel very welcome,,and we enjoyed a bottle of wine in a lovely atmosphere,,,thanks to all at Pulcinella restaurant.

First time here...probably the last! Ordered the Calamari appetiser. The best part of the appetiser was the raw cabbage on the plate. It was pretty sad, soggy, chewy and tasteless. The Carbonara was just ok. Don’t bother. It’s just not that good!

From the link on TripAdviser & the menu's it would appear Cavallo Nero is rebranding as Pulcinella.We always used to frequent the Charminster restaurant "Frascatti" & great to see the same team still working here. In particular the very talented chef.As long as Raffaele is still the chef I'm sure we will continue eating here as he is one of the best in the area. All the food was beautifully cooked & presented with love & care.Top marks to a fabulous Italian restaurant.

Visitamos este restaurante muchas veces en los últimos meses, y debo decir que siempre ha sido bueno,, pero nuestra última cena el domingo 13 de octubre fue la mejor que tuvimos hasta ahora, el restaurante no estaba ocupado pero la joven camarera era fabulosa, la comida era increíble, los platos estaban bien presentados y cálidos al tacto. Los postres eran encantadores cumplidos para los chefs. Estaremos muy contentos de volver pronto y traer algunos amigos. . .

Vine aquí anoche con amigos OMG la comida era increíble, el personal era encantador, el servicio excelente nada era demasiado problema, no nos podemos quejar de nada, todos tuvimos entrantes, platos principales, los postres se veían encantadores, no pude comí un postre mientras mi entrante y los platos principales me llenaban, el café licor también era encantador, podría haber bebido algunos más. Fue una noche fabulosa y espero volver pronto.

This is a great family run Italian. Owners are from Naples so you know the pizzas are going to be spot on and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Cavallo Nero has great food and a great atmosphere. It is well worth a visit and I hope they do well.

It was my wifes and sons birthday ,good time to frequent a lovely italian we loved before the re furb.Paid a lot of money for 3 courses,felt as though they couldnt wait to get us in and out again, forever chasing us to order ,clearing away glasses one at a time,hovering, not as thought the place was crowded, food was ok not brilliant, seems sad after so many posotive reviews.lets say the decor was interesting ,,there is a first time for everything,will think twice about returning

We booked a meal here as a family. It was a Wednesday and very quiet so initially we thought the worst. How wrong we were! We had starters and a main each with no room for dessert. The food was delicious. I had serious food envy having chosen the lasagne from looking at the pizzas and calzones. We recieved very attentive and polite service too. Would highly recommend and I am certain we will be back.

This restaurant is in walking distance from our home so we are delighted to have such a great restaurant on our doorstep. The chef is amazing and you absolutely have to try his specials always fantastic. The owner is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The pizzas are the best we have had for a very long time and they will cook the base how you like it for us very thin. We have already booked again for next week and this will now become our regular place to eat. Please go you won’t be disappointed.

Always meant to visit here but never got the chance. It never looked open. Decided to try it and so glad we did. The service was faultless. I had a whitebait starter which was the best whitebait ever. This was cooked so you could actually taste the whitebait and not too salty. My husband had the antipasta which was served on a wooden dish and meat was scattered along the dish and complimented with a unique garnish of carrot and mushroom complimented with an olive and balsamic dip with a bread i have never seen before but was lovely. It was ample for one and not over stated. Our main courses were the seabass which came with a small basket of chips and assorted veg. The seabass had been filleted. Equisite. I had chicken pollo in a napoli cream sauce. The portion size was adequate, the pasta al dente and the chicken was tasty. Not over seasoned . Perfect. We had house red wine which was amazing. The beer was enjoyed and the liquor coffee was sublime. A pleasant experience. All the boxes ticked. The pizzas looked fantastic too. Worth a visit!!

Have been a couple of time and each time was very enjoyable, pleasant and good value. A very good menu (addition of fries would be excellent) good quality, well cooked and well presented along with very good efficient and friendly staff. Some music on a Saturday night was a very pleasant addition (a little dance area will hopefully be next?!) - looking forward to the outdoor dining area in the summer - highly recommended

My husband and I have visited Cavallo Nero on a number of occasions since it opened, and we both agree that it is one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever eaten at. It is obvious that Cavallo Nero's owner is passionate about his restaurant, and this is reflected in the especially high standard of the delicious meals and wine which is served here. He has an excellent Head Chef, and the presentation and flavour of the food is second to none!

I have been driving past this restaurant for years but always ventured to Italian restaurants in the centre of Poole or Bournemouth. My sister brought us here for a family get together, it was risky for me as last week I had amazing food in Florence last week. Cavallo Nero didn't disappoint and anything exceeded my expectations. I had the aubergine to start which reminded me of a visit to Rome a few years back. Calzone was incredible and up their with the one I had in Florence. It's safe to say that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Poole and Bournemouth area.

We noticed the restaurant had undergone a large refurbishment and thought we would try it out, previously we always found the staff and owners of Al Gatto Nero to be really friendly and the venue had a homely feel. Made our reservation via their website which was easy to do and on arrival we were quickly sat to our table. I personally don't like to site with my back to a room which unfortunately was the case but the decor of the venue had been done well.

Great food and excellent service, the wood interiors make you feel welcome, food was perfectly cocked, the Spanish waitress Princesca was very helpful recommending us wine and desserts, was a perfect night, we definitely coming back

Had a superb fish risotto as a main for a birthday meal. The wood panelled walls created a cosy inviting atmosphere and the waitress, Princessa, was excellent. Will definitely return.

After not going to the Gato Nero for years, and seeing as it has had a refurb, we decided to give it a try.

We went to Cavallo Nero for my birthday last Friday evening. The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was excellent. The staff are so friendly and helpful.,Everything is cooked freshly to order . I would highly recommend this restaurant and it’s also child friendly
