I’ve been here yesterday night with a group of 7 people and we all truly enjoyed the experience at this wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant from the quality of the food , the lovely atmosphere and the highly welcoming and professionalism of all the staff. Since the welcoming to the good-bye all members of staff been engaging with a beautiful energy and nothing was too much trouble. From food runners , waiters and manager they all been great. Big thank you for the kitchen as all the food felt fresh , well presented and delicious to the last bite. The place looks clean with a very elegant decoration. Certainly will not be my last visit. Thank you for all the team for having us. I will see you soon !

We came today for the bottomless brunch and it was great! Food, drinks, service & atmosphere was 5* we we definitely be coming back. Maddie was our server and she was brilliant :)

Firstly Oxted having such great restaurants should still feel lucky to have a such an establishment that delivers in all aspects . The service is impeccable, attentive and is obviously a priority for them. They not only remember you, they go out of their way to make sure all aspects of the experience is perfect, leaving you feeling that you have been somewhere special. The food tonight was Jumbo prawns to start with a sirloin and half a lobster ( it was a special occasion!) both were cooked to perfection and so highly recommended! So if you have a special occasion or it’s just a Saturday then I would highly recommend that you book (in advance). Truly 5 star!

Came here for my birthday with some friends and had the bottomless brunch, was genuinely blown away by the level of service and quality of the meals. we all said it was the best meal we had been out for in the UK for a long time. The manager went out of his way to make it a special birthday for me, and our waitress Leah was so SO friendly, professional and lovely. I genuinely wasn’t expecting such a great experience and we will absolutely travel to come back again. Thank you so so much for making it such a special day. You really all went out of your way

From walking through the door … to the end was a great experience. Food was delicious and Maddie kept our glasses full throughout the lunch . The staff and management seemed happy and although quite full with other customers , we didn’t feel rushed. How the resturant was set out we all had our private space and didn’t feel packed in :) Thank you x

Dined here for our anniversary and the food was amazing! The team had prepared Prosecco and strawberries for us on arrival to celebrate the occasion which was a lovely touch. Erin was really friendly and helpful too.

We recently dined at Cattle & Cocktail to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we made the reservation, the staff were incredibly accommodating. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted with genuine smiles. Our server, Erin, was a delight—attentive, friendly, and always ensuring that we were comfortable and well taken care of. The entire team made us feel so welcome, which truly set the tone for the evening. Now, let’s talk about the food: Wow. Both my wife and I chose steak—she had the Ribeye, while I opted for the Traditional Sirloin. Our sides included creamy spinach, cut chips, green beans, and mac & cheese. The steaks were cooked to perfection, rivaling those from renowned places like Hawksmoor. As for the sides, they were sublime, especially the mac & cheese, which was an indulgent highlight of the meal. How could I forget the beautiful dessert? They generously provided us with one on the house to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was such a memorable experience, marked by expert-level cooking and impeccable service. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

3 of us attended on Saturday December 7th for Bottomless Brunch. The food was amazing, very reasonably priced considering the quality. Great ambiance and gorgeous settings Our waitress Leah was fantastic, very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Thanks for having us! We will definitely be back again.

Food and service was very good but they have crammed so many tables in such a small restaurant that it felt very Claustrophobic

We heard a lot about this place so we though we give it a try Not what I expected very poor food for such an expensive steak you would think would come at least with chips but no just sad rocket and a very peppery sauce with pink peppercorns ( for my taste better just black pepper is better )

WOW, WOW, WOW, we always look at reviews but want to try it for ourselves before making comment. Venue very nice, excellent customer service, polite and attentive staff. Food overpriced and not enough on the plate for some dishes, 3 jumbo prawns under a thick tomato sauce for starter at 11.50, tasted nice but excessive. Half lobster supplement at £24, dry, so pricey and definitely not the best I've had. Not worth it. Superfood salad, not enough Quinoa. Haloumi burger very chewy and friend couldnt eat it, not good, other burgers were fine. It's a shame some of us left still hungry. Not for us, we will not be returning. Some reviews also highlight these areas, so probably best to listen and action some changes, can't recommend this place even though the staff were great.

Food was ok, but the plates were cold, also got seated by the toilets as we found it to noisy where we were 1st going to be seated. Service wasn't the best as some of the staff were quite young and the price of the food far exceeded what it was worth paying.

6.30pm, Saturday evening, already pretty busy - noise hit us as we walked through the door. Offered a central table - no alternatives available. Staff - excellent. Accessible, friendly and helpful. Clientele - youngish and some of them very loud. The acoustics of the room probably don't help but, on this night, several tables happy to share their shouted conversations with the room. Food - just reasonable. The burgers at other tables looked adequate (certainly the sliders starter was good), the scallops (£8 for four) were ordinary, sliders (£7) for three were a success, duck was inedible and sent back - to be fair neither it nor its' replacement meal were charged for, the sea bass (£14) was nothing to write home about. An Italian rose at £22 was 'OK'. Perfect for a girl's night out with cocktails or a noisy 'lad's night' with burgers and beer - not a fine dining destination or romantic venue. Front patio in summer - would work for drinks.

Lovely attentive service for a mid week dinner . Great choices on set menu & good value . We had bao buns & halloumi bites , steak n frites & salmon . Nice pudding as well for the birthday boy . Plus great negroni & wine . Will come again for brunch !

Really nice restaurant / bar, nice drinks and good food. Maybe the best chicken burger I've ever had 👌💪🔥 Only feedback is that the cocktail menu is like an eye test the writing is super small and the lighting is "romantic" so hard to see what was in the drinks.....

Went for friends Hen do, ... I never write review, however this was so misleading felt compelled in order to stop others making same mistake, Menu says: £18.95 for 2 course lunch then £23.95 for "Prosecco bottomless brunch" reality is, its £18.95 + £23.95! very misleading, ... I actually don't like prosecco but thought as it wasn't much extra I would go with the flow and have it, ... huge mistake, I ended up buying bottle of wine £24.00 only had one small glass of Prosecco mediocre lunch for £42.90, as I said my mistake but hugely misleading, starter was nice haloumi , main awful "steak, frits, with garlic butter sauce, strips of steak raw and cold, ( wasn't asked how I would like it) garlic butter just that, butter in a bowl , impossible to put over meal, very strange! nice setting, won't mention staff, all in all ok , as long as your not going for meal or hospitality!

Our first visit to the Cattle & Cocktail for a date night. We were met by the manager as we entered who showed us to our table. He was very welcoming and hospitable. Our waitress was over to us within a couple of minutes to take our drinks orders and we also ordered olives and halloumi bites with chili jam as an appertizer. When they were brought to us we ordered scallops and king prawns for starters and for the mains salmon and the large rib eye steak. The scallops and prawns were very tasty and well presented on the plates. The salmon was presented on a bed of mash potato served with fine green beans. The rib eye was a bit over done for me. I asked for medium rare and it came a touch over cooked. However the steak was well seasoned and a good size. The only other issue with the steak is that I had to order chips as a side to have with it. At £36 for a steak I would expect chips to come with it. I have had better steaks for less money when eating out. Looking at the red wine list, there are only certain wines that you can have a glass of. I wanted a glass of Argentinian Malbec but it was only served as a bottle. The total bill was just over £155 for 2 people with 3 cocktails and 2 Peronis so although this is a nice restaurant with lovely staff it is overpriced and expensive. Would I go back? I would for a special occassion but for a general eating out experience there are more reasonable priced restaurants around the area of Oxted.

Be prepared by the manager to give you 1:50mins time allowance to have a 3 course meal. It felt like you were watching the time constantly and did not relax and enjoyed the meal. The manager didn’t help either when we were reminded that we had 15mins to finish our meal. The experience was dreadful and very poorly managed by the management staff. Wouldn’t want to book again.

We have eaten in and got one of the at home boxes and both times the steak has been brilliant. Staff are lovely and their lunch menu is great value

A must to visit, again and again. Found this gem through normal searches whilst driving back home through Oxted. No booking but welcomed in and fell in love with the ambiance. A simplistic style menu with an abundance of choices from seafood, steak, burgers or salad. We had the whole calamari and the scallops as starters and the Rump, Ribeye and Fillet for main. All perfectly cooked to our individual likings. There was always service around if you needed anything and they were friendly and helpful. You could sometimes hear the fun in the kitchen which is good to hear. Multiple home made puddings and we went for Brownies and Apple crumble, both with ice cream and both perfect. This is not a cheap meal but it is a perfect meal and they do welcome larger parties. I am looking forward already to my next visit. Well done all.

Enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch here with my daughter today. The restaurant has a very stylish interior with comfortable seating and beautiful decor. It also boasts a lovely outdoor seating area for al fresco dining. The staff were very friendly and welcoming too. The food was delicious, with interesting dishes and flavour combinations and all ingredients tasting extremely fresh. Excellent value for money and a very enjoyable lunch spent in very sumptuous surroundings. Thank you very much to Junior and his staff team…we will definitely return!

Bog standard food - overpriced for the quality and service. Prawn caesar salad was £26 and came with about 3 tomatoes, 5 prawns, and not a lot else! Nice enough, but we certainly won't return in a hurry.

Had THE best steak I've had in the UK last night. We went to Cattle and Cocktail for the half price steak deal on a Tuesday. We ordered 2 ribeye steaks -one medium rare and one medium. Both melted in the mouth. We ordered a garlic butter sauce and a peppercorn sauce to share both were unreal. Sides were mac and cheese, sweet potato and creamed spinach. Could not fault the meal even if i tried. Thank you for an insanely delicious meal topped with super friendly and lovely staff.

Mate unexpectedly in town so last minute decided to go to Cattle & Cocktail. Outstanding service, with a great relaxed atmosphere. Food excellent, my cheese board choice was so large I took it home! Once again Cattle & Cocktail delivers! Outstanding!

It had such a lovely atmosphere and the decoration inside was beautiful. The menu had so much choice and everything looked absolutely delicious. When it comes to dinner at cattle and cocktail, you can’t ask for much more.

Took wife there for special meal on her birthday. A waiter was literally detailed to us who walk by every 4 mins or so with her prying eyes on our plates. She whisked the plates away on the last drop of the spoon and eventually asked us to leave before ordering dessert , what a bad experience for an important day.

Extortionately priced! I had a fillet steak which didn’t taste as good as the sirloin at home. I’ve had much tastier steaks with all the trimmings, fries and mushrooms, onion or salad and a jacket potato included in the price. Their pricing strategy is illogical and greedy, charging you over £5 each for fries and mushrooms to go with your extortionately priced fillet steak but including them with a £16 burger. It was my first time there but I felt robbed and would never eat a steak there again.

What a great place. The decor is really Good and well set out. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great place for a drink with some amazing cocktails. And good wine selection. The food was really good. I had seafood risotto and my wife the mushroom truffle risotto. Next time, I have to try the steaks. My daughter had kids' pasta, which was really tasty. You could easily spend a whole evening in this amazing venue.

Had a wonderful experience for a family meal. All the staff were brilliant and helpful with my two young children. The food was excellent …..I loved my steak. The children’s menu is good value with big portions. The Manager was friendly & super efficient.

My glass was never empty, all staff were forever topping our glasses up - can’t fault the service. Greeted warmly, lovely food & general vibe with good music playing in the background. Thoroughly enjoyed my bottomless brunch & would recommend.

Overall the food was good especially the Cajun chicken burger, but it did take a while to arrive. It's pricey, but worth it for the good service, pretty decor and nice ambience

We went here for my Sister’s birthday, 9 of us. The food was excellent. Burgers, Steaks, SeaBass & Prawns, all superb. I fancied a Tequila Sunrise, which wasn’t on the list of cocktails, but it was not a problem; the manager had that made for me and it was the best! They also let us bring our birthday cake in for my sister and brought it to the table singing Happy Birthday! We all had the best time, Thank You Perfect evening, perfect food and great staff, we will be back 😊

The scallops were the best I’ve ever eaten ,cooked to perfection. Rump steak melted in my mouth with chunky chips and creamed spinach DELICIOUS! I will be back without doubt . A jewel in Oxted. .

2 course brunch near Christmas! We went on a weekday as a treat so it was a bit quieter. Fantastic attentive service . We both had the halloumi as a starter which was delicious. One of us had steak & I had the mushroom truffle risotto which was huge ! Great cocktails option or fizz ! Lovely 🥰 .

Food was absolutely lovely, and very attentive staff. Lovely decor. Downside was the music volume. Thankfully my group had a table at the back because the guests in the middle section were shouting at each other to make themselves heard. Why so loud, it's a restaurant!

Food was fine but hospitality was left wanting. Last orders at 9.30pm and glasses whipped away and main lights thrown on at 10pm. It’s a cocktail bar no?! Show a bit more respect for your customers and put them at the heart of the decisions you make and you may get more coming back….sadly I won’t be.

Wow! So it’s the first time I’ve been back for a few years and the decor, live music, ambience was amazing. Our lovely waitress was very polite, knowledgeable about the food and enjoyed our company. BUT at 9.30 we were asked for last orders, asked for empty glasses and wanted us out. A waitress (not our original lovely one) was rude and sour faced and put a complete downer on the evening. Not the way I would want to spend my birthday. Sadly, we won’t ever go back and as locals we will steer our friends away

A first visit to a first class restaurant! We were welcomed on arrival and the service throughout our meal was friendly, timely and just a delight. That said, when taking our order, our waiter said “ladies first” which may land him in trouble with wokey customers in the mad world in which we now live!! I hope this gives readers an idea of the light hearted nature of the banter we enjoyed. On a rainy Thursday night it was certainly not busy but there’s a nice ambience to this place. The food was absolutely tremendous. We all enjoyed perfectly cooked steaks after our amazing starters and it was even better knowing that all meat is locally sourced. It is rare for me to find no areas to be disappointed with but I can’t do do here. I would not hesitate to recommend and will certainly be visiting again.

This place is incredible. We were waiting for the other half of our party to arrive and they took another 45 minutes but we weren’t pressured at all by the staff which we were grateful for. The food was amazing and the cocktails were even better. We’ll definitely be coming back here.

I have been wanting to come for - forever!!!! And it absolutely didn't disappoint!!! Annoyingly we were late for our table but they were over accommodating to us and we managed to still have a fantastic meal. Food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Something that is truly rare to find! Next time we will definitely train so enjoy more of the fantastic cocktails. 😀 I can't wait to come back, thank you so much

A wonderful evening such a great food, cockeails and service ....friendly really lovely staff warm & welcoming. Brilliant food enjoyed every bit about this restaurant just 5☆, decor was spot on too. The restaurant was clean, spacious definitely one of my favourite places to go as trendy but fits any age group. We where a table of 6 ranging from 17 to 55 fabulous evening and not just the steak....a must visit...

We went here as a family of 4 after going to the cinema. We had a fabulous meal. One thing that really stands out is the way they handled the nut allergy my daughter has which was amazing. We were a bit disappointed the scallops weren’t available however were happy with the prawns, bao buns and haloumi. For mains we had 2 half lobsters, prawns and pulled burger all of which was well cooked and tasty. The service and staff here are super friendly and attentive. We will be back and most probably for a Saturday brunch which sounds amazing!

The most fantastic evening. We have been a couple of times before but not since before COVID lockdown. Jono and his team were the best and our waiter was a delight. The food was exceptional. The only place where you can get a blue steak cooked correctly. Thank you!!

This excellent eatery is perfectly placed for dinner after the cinema, just across the road. Service is efficient & the staff friendly & courteous. Have never had a bad steak here which is more than can be said for so many restaurants purporting to know what they're doing! We have been several times and will be going again.

Popped in, on the off chance of a table, for a pre cinema meal. Managed to fit us in even though it was a busy Friday night. Food is excellent- recommend the steak.. Wine list is excellent- a choice for all tastes and wallets. Someone has taken a lot of time and care with the wine selection.. for that alone, I thank you. Will be returning soon and hopefully make this a regular thing.. so impressed.. well done to the owner and staff
