Cattle & Co in Swansea

The steak was good, tender and tasty. The rest of the food and extras were average only. There were no vegetables offered as side dishes and it was expensive for what you got.

I had visited this place several times under the previous 'guise' and it had always been good. Last night for a birthday we visited this 'American style' diner and were not disappointed. I like 'BBQ / Southern food' and this is what you get here, and it's done well. You really need to try the wings, we had them as part of a sharing platter - next time we will get a plate of 12 .. they are amazing. We had a selection of food, the burgers ... the 'Pitmaster' was layer on layer of superb food. What was good is that it's freshly prepared .... for example no frozen chicken slice, this is homemade fillet - so tasty. As a side I had Pit Beans .... and these were the best I have ever had. We all enjoyed the food, nobody was able to finish their plate as portions are huge ... and all of us look forward to returning.

Everyone deserves a second chance. So we tried this place again. Food is still very good. With regret staff are still pretty useless. Lots of other reasons why this place is a shambles but I’m not wasting my energy Won’t be coming again.

Let’s start with the positives. 7/8 off us highly rated the food we ate. Beautiful homemade sauces. Sublime jacket potatoes. Beautiful interior. Decent value. Discount on my meal due to trouble caused. Good service at times. Negatives. Our server didn’t know how to recommend how each steak should be cooked. Very poor as the main protein here is beef. Drinks order wrong. Staff needed to be asked to clear table, we were forgotten about. No excuses it wasn’t busy. Bird poo on main window exterior. My steak was well-done when ordered m/rare. Couldn’t start meal with everyone else. New steak sorted in 10 minutes however was not rested sufficiently as a result. Staff clearly seen gossiping and giggling which was unprofessional. Menus grubby needed cleaning. If this place works on the negatives you could have something very special here.

I’ve been here four times now and every visit has been enjoyable. They are generous with the food, which is lovely and they are flexible, eg wanted a salad instead of fries. The place itself is historical and I’m so glad it’s been restored and is now being used as a beautiful dining space. Plenty of room for a wheelchair as well which is such a bonus. It can be a little cold in the winter so take a jumper on a cold day but that’s because the space is so big because it is an old and former industrial site.

Great meal, lovely service, and love the discounts that are offered on a Sunday! I have also visited the one in Llanelli and definitely prefer this one

Arrived at 7pm for a birthday dinner with my wife. Served drinks and ordered food. By 9pm no sign of food. Cancelled order and paid for drinks. What restaurant can't get food from their menu to the table in 2 hours. Night ruined.

Attended the Llanelli restaurant with, great atmosphere, fantastic food and service, and the bbq wings and waffles for dessert to die for. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely meal but was let down by the staff booked a table for 12 celebrating golden anniversary on arrival was made a fool off being told the booking was not on the system don’t know what the fuss was as there was plenty off room waited 20 minutes for our second drink told they are very busy but could see differently staff not very pleasant at the end of the night give us the feeling they wanted us to leave at 10 o’clock bar was open till 11 They just wanted to keep clearing our glass all in all our evening was disappointing it was a shame really need to sort the staff out would not recommend this restaurant due to the staff which is a shame

Visiting the area and heard about the restaurant. Excellent service from front of house and waiting staff. Food was excellent and we hope to be back.

Normally go to the smoke haus in Swansea gave this place a try I am glad I did the quality of food and portion size is so much better my son had to take some of his meal home with him the burger’s are great the wings are the best I have had I would go back just for those the best bbq American style food I have have in a while

Service was perfect food was basic and did not leave any of us feeling we wanted to return. The drinks were very expensive for Mocktails and the ribs were worthy of feeding the bin sorry but it was so disappointing but the staff were amazing

Long wait for order one missing waited 5mins then after another 10mins had to ask for cutlery children's free drinks was also missing

Great staff food to die for service, music and general vibe really good. When next on business in Swansea will definitely come back again. Hot wings for a starter blew my socks off.

Did not book just walked in greeted well and the team were attentive to our needs had a pint of Corona and a Pepsi starters were 2x pulled pork bruschetta main were chicken in a bun and the brisket, i didnt feel it was overly priced but the quality certainly was not there the buttermilk chicken was overcooked and the chicken itself was not great in quality and tough both starters were fine and tasty the brisket was an odd one totally overpowered by the smoking and giving an odd almost bitter taste whick was not good it was tender but served with a gravy and coleslaw not sure they go hand in hand both myself and my partner left a fair amount of food the server did offer foil if we wanted to take away but we declined maybe due to the amount of food left the served should have probed more as to why it was left and if all was ok ! a shame really so £50 not well spent.
