It almost depends who serves you as to what size of portion size you get? When i went last, tuna and cheese portion was very small and so was the size of the salad. £5 for a large salad, which is fair if it is large but it often isnt. I have also had the curry and rice and was given a very small portion to the point i went back in and complained about it. I dont mind paying a bit more for good food but when the portion size seems to get smaller and smaller i do. Definitely not value for money. I will not be going again.

These guys are awesome. Tons of range in food and such friendly staff. They know my order by heart and are always up for a chat and have kept to covid restrictions since they reopened back in the middle of last lockdown. Cant recommend them more

On visiting Warrington, we were lucky enough to be pointed in the direction of Cathy's. (God was on our side that day). We enjoyed a variety of breakfast sandwiches. Cooked to perfection and at a fabulous price. An absolute must to visit! Will be back if in Warrington again.

It's a simple choice - £5.25 for a Travelodge continental breakfast or walk down the road for a full veggie breakfast for £3 or with meat for £6. Cathy's is great - yes, if you eat in you'll be sitting on a high stool, but you also get to look out on the world going by. I didn't try the lunches, but I would go back if I had the chance.

My husband organised a small party for my 60th birthday and the venue was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they accommodated our catering company and the entertainment that my husband had arranged, they even extended the private booking by an hour as everybody was having such a wonderful time. Great variety of Gins and beers for the men! Would highly recommended this venue for a private booking or a great night out. Thankyou to all the staff that worked on my party, I had an amazing day x

5/5 30TH APRIL 2025 Wandering Wednesday’ this week took both Hubby Neil and I to a new place….. ‘The Maltings’ which is just a couple of miles down the road….. I think we have been put off going, only because when it was ‘The Bewsey Farm’ many, many years ago, you’d walk in and your feet would stick to the floor!….. it’s definitely not the case now….. Set back from The Sankey Valley Canal, in amongst woodlands, this pub is a little cracker! It is renowned for being a ‘Dog friendly pub’…. They have outside and inside seating where dogs are not restricted in either. The pub looks spotlessly clean and with plenty of customers and some furry friends…… they even have a dog menu!…. Brilliant! We even learned that The Maltings and one of our favourite eateries ‘The White Hart’ are Sister pubs, so this will explain why the food was absolutely delicious, each dish was beautifully presented….. We went for starters today: Neil had Italian meatballs in Napoli sauce, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and served with garlic bread. I had: deep fried crispy battered squid, with zesty lemon mayo, served on a bed of baby gem lettuce and pea shoot garnish. For Entree’s Neil had Salt and pepper noodles, tossed in a Teriyaki sauce with peers and onions….. Topped with pan fried Salmon (or you can have the choice of chicken if you wish). I had the ‘Cluckin Hot’ which was two crispy buttermilk chicken fillets, paired with melted sliced cheese, drizzled with hot sauce mayo and garnished with spicy jalapeno’s…. I upgraded my fries to sweet potato fries tossed together with mixed peppers and onions, with a pot of coleslaw…… there was a lady and gentleman serving behind the bar as well as the food orders, very friendly, polite, attentive and courteous….. The food was amazing and we will 100% be going back…..I could kick myself for not trying this pub before now!!
