Returned today to a bigger and better atmosphere, staff was great today, very friendly and approachable. Manager apologised for previous experience, very kind of him and really appreciated the apology. Food is good as normal. 👍

Firstly we had ordered the festive menu online and they didn't have all our orders down. The man had an awful attitude. I am not sure if he was the manager. They had no clue about allergies. They kept saying the custard was not gluten free because it was dairy, which is completely irrelevant. The turkey dinner was awful. The turkey was processed not proper turkey and the rest of the meal was brought in, nothing fresh. I have already posted this once. The Catherine's inn asked me to email them. I have done this twice with no response, awful.

Went to Catherine's Inn for Christmas Day 2024. The service was quick, and efficient. The staff were really friendly. The food was very tasty, lovely big portions. It was nice to have Christmas lunch in a great location with the family. Highly recommend.

Absolutely disgusting, went for Christmas dinner with my family and 2 disabled children. Booked months in advance and deposits was all paid. Got there to say we hadn't answered a email that was never received & wanted payment in fell but this was never mentioned prior. Told us to leave after diving there ect the attitude from the manager was outrageous on Christmas day. We will never go there ever ever again! Really Horrible staff. Treating disabled children like that on Christmas day. Manager does not want any disabled children in the pub it seems. No reason to not let us have our dinner. We had to have egg on toast. I will never forget this Christmas.

I've been here quite a few times now and every time I come here it's enjoyable plenty of parking spaces and the staff are very friendly and very helpful and very polite the place is clean and tidy and the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is always hot when it arrives at the table and I definitely recommend the deserts it's incredible

Really impressed with how it’s running now. Been coming to this pub for years but haven’t been for a while as it was a bit run down and food wasn’t always the best but I can honestly say after coming here and seeing all the work they’ve put in to modernise it is really impressive. The food was really nice and love the offers they do on food as they do really good bargains. Took the dog with us in the bar area and he was able to sit down whilst we ate and he was definitely loved by the staff! The staff were really friendly and ensured we had an amazing time I definitely think this place is going in the right direction Prices are really good and with the deals it’s really appealing to go back and try some more food

We haven't been there for many years after going quite regular. The pub was on our way home so we called in. Many changes for the good and very friendly staff especially one who we had a great chat with. Food was fantastic and great value for money, I had scampi and my husband had the burger crown. Will be going back again that's for sure.

Came in for a meal for mine and my sons birthday. Food was great, had a mixture of Xmas menu, regular menu and desserts and all came out quick and was delicious 😋 Table was decorated really nicely for us too. All staff were friendly and made sure we had a great evening, especially Sarah who welcomed us in and served us. Would definitely return.

Has free Wifi and can order food from the app. Not many places to charge phones though and seating is a bit cramped. Quite a bit of parking, though some is a bit awkward on the hill. Standard pub food, great prices lots of deals. Good gluten free options (though you have to use the menu online there is no physical version). It was quiet when we came and the food came really quickly. The staff were absolutely lovely, checked in and made sure everything was okay, really friendly and helpful.

Catherine's new management couple are nothing short of a miracle and brilliant... !! I know, as a regular - that they have been here a few months now... - I have waited a while to see how they settle in.... As a northener myself ... What can I say... A WARM Northern Welcome awaits every customer... In a nutshell they are fab-u-lous ..!! We had the festive fayre menu today... Table of 5 We could not fault one single thing.... We were given ample time between courses to natter and not be rushed or hassled to get the table The food was superb. The drinks too are very reasonable... Catherine's Inn is a diamond - I would recommend it to anyone...

Popped in for a drink on a Saturday afternoon with our dog. We found it a very comfortable atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. Our dog loved all the attention from other customers too! Will definitely be back

Never again the kitchen staff need to read what food people have ordered the lady who took our order asked any allergies said no but did not want peas as they make me sick so said no garden peas or mussy peas order came with peas, grandson had a burger but you can tell they are cheap tasted horrible

For the price this is a great place to eat, its wholesome comfort food served with a smile , quite quickly in nice surroundings. Thanks for feeding is the last 4 nights

Fantastic experience once again, my partner and I come here regularly for an evening meal and the service and quality is excellent value for money every time. Sarah and Dianne couldn’t be any more helpful, definitely recommend if you’re after a classic pub lunch/ dinner.

Upon first impressions looks a little in need of tlc outside. However that changes as soon as you enter. Greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Service was exceptional. Speed of service and friendliness of staff. No complaints about food either. Generous portions and presented well. Left feeling extremely happy and will definitely be back.

Food was slightly above the average you would expect from this type of pub restaurant. Wait times are quite long as it's a busy place. Staffing levels are way too low. Waitresses do an excellent job but more bar staff should be expect especially on a Saturday night! As it's a family orientated place it is extremely noisy.

Food was good except the cauliflower cheese wasn't cauliflower cheese ,it was cauliflower with grated cheese on top no sauce sent it back ,and they had added more cheese to it .

Dog friendly with great staff, we took our two dogs out and the staff got us water and were very attentive throughout.

The staff were absolutely brilliant as they had to deal with two power cuts while we were waiting for our meal ,they were so apologetic and kept saying how sorry they were but the situation was well out of their control ,however they managed to get our meals to us just in time as we had a funeral to attend .our meals were absolutely beautiful. Thank you to all the staff involved.you were absolute heroes.

I only marked it down a little for the food,as my husbands Gammon was soaked in fat.It needed to drain for a few seconds, but otherwise, it very nice & great value for money.
