Catch Corner in South Staffordshire

Just had a lovely meal in this out of the way treasure. Bigger than it looks! Really friendly and accommodating staff - thank you to Mel - couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you!

A fab meal in a fab location… the kids were well and truly worn out after the excellent soft play too Mel was brilliant and took very good care of our rowdy mob, including Birthday cake duties!! We can’t wait to return 🥳

Stopped at the lovely Holiday Inn Express across the road, so a very convenient pub for dinner. Obviously very popular and although advised of a bit of a wait for food, we were seated straight away and drinks and food orders taken. The food was delicious, especially the Lamb Kofta! We were served throughout by a delightful young lady called Philippa. Apologies to Mike for keeping her talking, she is a credit to the company and we wish her every success for the future. Will definately call again!

Popped on the off chance to Catch Corner for an early tea before an evening out in Stafford. We had never been there before. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. As soon as we walked in we received a warm welcome. We hadn't booked so was more than happy when they could accommodate a table for 2. The whole of the Catch Corner crew were professional, positive and helpful. The vibe was comfortable and relaxed...exactly what we were looking for. The menu is varied with great choices and tasty food. Big shout out to Philippa, an asset to the Catch Corner team, with a natural 'happy to help' attitude....her service was speedy and friendly. Thank you Catch Corner team....a great start to our evening in Stafford. Would definitely recommend. We will be back.

The staff are all welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic. The place is clean. The cocktails were top notch and Mel our server did everything she could to make our meal a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Staying one night next door at the Holiday Inn Express, we decided to eat here. The food was excellent. We chose a ribeye steak and chicken fajitas. Both dishes were very tasty and well cooked. The steak was char grilled and came with crispy fried onions. It was served medium as requested and was a generous portion. We found the food superior in this Greene King chain to other pub chains we have visited. Good choice of wines and beers as you would expect. The service was friendly and efficient. Thanks to Poppy and Mel. Will definitely visit again when next in the area. (Very handy for M6 J13)

We came to the wacky with the kids. First time being here. Met Wonderful Wendy who explained how everything worked for us thoroughly. She is a lovely lady we have adopted her as nanny Wendy now. Thank you for a great experience x

We needed to stop somewhere for breakfast on our way to the Lake District from Bristol. I looked this up on trip advisor on our way and pulled off the M6 looking forward to a full English! It was okay. Good welcome from the manager once it was agreed that it was Saturday and they were open. The website times are confusing as it relates to the wacky warehouse and not the restaurant ??? The breakfast was poor. It was luke warm at best. Sausage tasted off, although manager assured me they were fresh just different and they had a lot of people saying they did not like the new sausages! Cleaning in progress but ladies toilets not great.

Great service and atmosphere. Food was lovely and was bought out quickly and cleared away quickly when finished. Mel was chatty and polite. Definitely will come back!

I remember this establishment from a number of years ago and my recent experience was a hundred times better. For a start the premises were much cleaner and less sticky than I remember and staff were much more interested in helping customers. I would go as far as saying that every member we met was delightful. Food was of a reasonable standard and well presented, one small complaint would be that the choice is rather restricted but I suppose it can help make the operation more efficient. I would recommend for a middle of the road ,quick bite to eat.

I go to college in Stafford where I stay 2 weeks at a time every month or so. While I’m here I stay at the holiday inn and I have a food voucher included in my stay which I use at the catch corner. I am writing this review because the staff deserve recognition, as they are amazing. They are so nice and friendly and the service is fast as well. The food is also nice too, that is the main reason we go.. but the staff do make the experience, as the food can be nice but if service is slow and the staff aren’t nice then it ruins the experience! Would recommend this place to anyone. Prices are fair and they even have a kids play area there too

We have been here so many times and unfortunately is somewhere where the food has been inconsistent and for a while didn't visit. Went recently and we had a lovely meal then tonight went again and it was awful! Burnt garlic bread Missing items on the mains One dish that contained chicken was stone cold The staff apologised but we could tell they were not bothered. How can a chef send out food in such a poor condition! We won't be going again which is a real shame.

This is a great place for an evening meal, staff are really welcoming, friendly and make you feel at home. Food has been excellent and tastes delicious. If we are in the area again will definitely come again it’s worth a visit.

We regularly visit Catch Corner for Sunday lunch with the family and we are always offered great service by Poppy and the team. Poppy always knows what drinks we are having and she is always friendly and the kids love her. The food is always good quality too.

Stumbled across this place on the way home from Drayton manor for somewhere for tea. We were welcomed to a lovely decoration area, all food ordered was DELICIOUS including desert. We will definitely plan to come back here next time we were very impressed with the food and service. Our server Mel was so so friendly and chatty especially with our children, she gave our daughter a lanyard because she took a liking to hers. Lovely atmosphere felt relaxed and welcomed, highly recommended
