Fabulous meal at Castlehaven. It was a beautiful day and dined overlooking the sea. Sea bass was delicious and perfectly cooked. Staff were knowledgeable and lovely. A must in the sunshine. Thank you.

A memorable meal. Wonderful view, but it’s the food that’s the star. Both sea bass and monkfish were perfectly cooked and the Asian take on the menu was refreshing. We’d definitely be back more often if we lived closer.

A wonderful location overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was first class, well presented and served hot. The menu is excellent and the steak was to die for. A great experience. Richard

Very enjoyable experience. Perched on a cliff top with magnificent views. It was very windy but staff were quick to offer a warm wrap for the ladies comfort. Food was excellent and service was lovely. We hope to return there on our next visit to IOW

Whilst this beach cafe is in a lovely location and has a promising menu, it seems to be suffering from the illusion it is a Michelin starred silver service restaurant, and is neglecting passing trade. Front of house staff treated us like we were second class citizens and refused to seat us and provide us with any food. Despite her insistence they were fully booked, every table except for two were empty. Given that we only wanted drinks and snacks we were not going to be long this was surprising. I also heard her berate the group in front of us for booking that they had a dog with them and not bringing one. Instead of wait on the deckchairs like naughty school kids dressed in wellies rather than the latest finery, we ditched it in favour of the pub up the road, which was lovely. And I suggest you do the same.

Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend.

Great food can get very loud at times with people talking over eating others being a small dining area.

Good size meals, especially breakfasts. Good cuppa, no frills just true value, friendly staff. I would visit again and recommend this café.

I can't comment on the Rooms because we didn't stay overnight, we just met other business partners for a Christmas Lunch.....This is where it failed to deliver! Christmas lunch on the 'Specials Board' was either a Baguette with pigs in blankets and a salad or Turkey and Cranbury sauce which should have been called Cranbury Sauce with a few bits of Turkey. I didn't fancy paying £14 for this so had a cheeseburger & chips. My wife went for the Cranbury Baguette specifically asked for No Crabury (it was full of Cranbury). My cheeseburger was dry (well overheated in the microwave no doubt) and my cheese arrived 10 minutes after I'd started (a slab melted onto a plate). I also asked that the Brioch bun was seadless as i cant eat anything with seeds, it was covered in seeds. A colleagues burger was equally as bad though hers was served with the cheese at the same time so a small bonus. Everyone waited ages for the food and everyone was equally unimpressed with the menu choices and the quality of the food. Because we waited so long for the food I couldn't be bothered to ask for a seed free bun and my wife didn't want to ask for a Cranbury free Turkey Baguette and we just wanted to eat and get out of there. This was pre booked but not by us and it wouldn't be a choice venue, certainly won't be in the future. I don't like being negative but this is an honest review. We were looking forward to a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, sadly this was the wrong place to go for a dinner.

Nice staff, reasonable price and we love a bit of cash preferred! Good doughnuts and hot chocolate perfect from when you come out the sea!
