Edited. Portions still far smaller than other vendors. Good kebabs but too expensive for the serving. Previous post: Good kebabs but the size of the serving is unnecessarily small given how much you pay. They can't make more than 20p by being so miserly but it surely must put off regular orders

Donor Kebab meat very dry almost crispy chips nice and hot but some previously cooked ones amongst freshly cooked dissatisfied for the cost of meal.

The food was really cold and it lacked flavour.. I won't be ordering again

Ordered through uber eats and added a special note to please give lots of pickled peppers - they went all out and gave me atleast 25 peppers with 2 combination kebabs. Kebabs were great - lamb shish, kofta and chicken shish.

I thought the guy serving me was about to commit suicide, the doner was 50% rusk, no mint yogurt, no salad as standard, all at Canterbury prices

Both Doners were salad than meat, sausages were burnt to the point even the dog wouldn't touch it, Halloumi wasn't even grilled more like they touched it to a warm plate. This was my second order from them, First time they sent Chips & Cheese out in a bag and you'll notice i didn't say Cheesy Chips and that's because the amount of cheese put on was enough to stick to the bag but not enough to even be considered a portion. With most places like this it's meant to cheap, greasy, grub but with two small Doners, two cheap sausages and a portion of cold chips oh and a bottle of Pepsi (£3.90 for a £1.85 Bottle) costing over £30 i think I'd rather take my chances on a homeless person cooking on a upturnt shopping cart rather than try this place again.

Great quality chicken doner and chicken shish. Fresh salad and tasty chilli and garlic sauce. Would recommend everyone in that area to pop in and try out the food.

I can’t speak for the local customers but if you are American or visiting the country DONT NOT EAT HERE!!!! They will intentionally poison the food to get you sick. On my first meal arriving in the UK me and my bro ordered two kabobs and were both admitted to hospital next morning with food poisoning. I understand why people hate Americans but I have nothing to do with the wars or world policy, I just wanted a kabob. The Muslim community in the USA take pride in their culture these guys are a bad representative for the town. Everyone else in the town were great and friendly. Just be careful because if they hate Americans then the native residents will eventually receive the same treatment when they no longer need your money to operate

I have got to say we have used this kebab takeaway for a couple of years, it has recently changed ownership and we have had probably the best Donna kebab I have ever had, big thanks to the restaurant 👍

Asked for a burger meal, specifically asked for burger sauce in the burger. Gave me a lamb kebab. Charged me for it when I questioned said thats what I ordered. Absolutely fuming £8.50 wasted. Will not return.

Lamb shish to die for! Without doubt one of the tastiest things I've ever put in my mouth. True story.

We used castle street kebabs yesterday for the first time, we got a large lamb shish and a small lamb shish with chips. Drove back to chilham with them and they were still piping hot! The salad was lovely and crisp and the meat was lovely and tender, chips were perfect. Will definitely be using this place again!

Be ware........ I Placed an order though delivery ( who by the way were great in this situation) Received half an order and when rung the shop was told they pack it in the bag , ( as if you would nick something that you have already played for 🤔 ) and I was lying and there was not anything they could do as the staff said they sent it ...? Really bad service.... stay well away

well third order from castle street kebabs and defiantly the last !! We ordered a chicken and lamb doner both with chilli sauce but it was that sparse I think they must ration it by the thimble and it had no kick !! Salad plenty full if you wanted shredded lettuce, cabbage and onion but two meagre slices of tomato no cuecumber and where were the pickled chillis !! So I’ve come to the conclusion there is nowhere to get a decent kebab in canterbury anymore !!

Orderd last night via deliveroo. Kebab was cold/patches of warm. both in the wrap and box, only ate a little bit and I've been sick all night. Don't Eat here

Next up we tried an old favourite in the City, but one we've not tried before, Castle Street Kebab, and we were not disappointed! This was not your average kebab. Now the guys at Castle Street kindly gifted us this food so we could trial it out and write our thoughts, and if it was anything other than positive we would still be informing you of the bits we didn't like but honestly the entire meal was fantastic! On the menu tonight we had: Lamb Doner Kebab Chicken Doner Kebab Chicken Shish Kebab Lahmacun (Turkish Mince Pizza) Halloumi & Salad Pitta Southern Fried Chicken Strips Chicken Bites Jalapeño Cream Cheese Poppers (5 stars on their own!) Mozzarella Dippers Chips Onion Rings I can't stress enough how tasty this food was! The chicken was flavourful, the lamb doner wasn't greasy and the chips were fluffy. The jalapeño poppers were so full of cheese and really good, they were my favourite part! Even my mother-in-law who claims to have never had a kebab (I know!) said it was fantastic, even down to the freshness of the tomatoes in the salad. We couldn't fault it. Taste ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 5 Stars!! - Really great Turkish food, full of flavour and tasted amazing! In-House Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 5 Stars - The owner couldn't do enough to help us, cooking all the food fresh and having it all done and ready in less than 10 minutes. Presentation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 5 Stars - As far kebabs go they aren't the prettiest food, but it was really packaged well and looked the part. Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 5 Stars - Kebabs are well known for being low cost, but you usually get what you pay for, Castle Street Kebab was really fantastic value for money for the quality! Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 4 Stars - Conveniently situated in Canterbury city centre, if you're on foot then again it would be 5 stars, in a car it has to be 4 stars, as there is no parking outside and it is a small road with double yellow lines. But they deliver on all the usual apps so that's great! Thank you so much for the amazing service and delicious food! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mixed meat and chips was bland, ordered cheesy chips, and got no cheese, chips were soggy and not cooked properly and overall tastes bland. Not even an option for salad and was not worth the money .

A huge selection of family deals, burger, jalapeno with cheese. Grill meats are great too. Friendly staffs.

Just been into a get Kebab, first time for many years. Got the kebab home and I had to put it in the microwave to warm the meat, as it was stone cold. Disgusting

Who order got thrown in the bin and they refused a refund. Got order wrong and none of us would eat it. A waste of £20. Even the size of the meal was not worth it can get bigger ones from other places. Never again 1 star is too good for them

4 stars on the food hygiene rating. Small sitting area with 2 tables. Love the food. Is the best I have had in Canterbury so far. Closed Tuesday's. But open 3pm to 1am all other nights. Recommend.

Kebabs are really good in taste and quantity. Service is good aswell. Being a kebab lover I suggest this could be a one good choice.

No star would be given if it were possible. Found multiple short black hairs in my food but it would not be remade. I'm a long haired blonde so it couldn't have been mine.

BEST KEBABS IN CANTERBURY. Everytime we'd walk home from the Works towards Westgate to catch a cab back to Darwin, my vote amongst the group was always to stop here. Their kebabs cannot be topped!
