Great value for the cost - got a takeaway with a truly massive piece of cod to go along with my chips. Tasty and crisp but not too greasy! Better open hours than other chip shops in the city, which was much appreciated.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings at Rockbeare Manor since 2018, and it has always been a fantastic experience. The venue’s grounds offer breathtaking backdrops for photos, while the ceremony room is bathed in beautiful natural light. The bridal suite is an absolute standout—by far the largest and most luxurious I’ve seen! And let’s not forget the delicious food and the incredibly professional event team. I went there with two housemates from my nearby home, and had a berry fruit tea with a malt loaf tea-bread.

If a company or attraction has a website one could assume that they would bother to keep it up to date. Sadly we traveled to visit today, having checked online that it was open, only to find both the tramway and cafe was closed. Two very sad grandchildren, two embarrassed grandparents and mum and dad were less than impressed as well. In this day and age one can only suggest that it is amateurish at best. Never mind we will spend our money elsewhere and will avoid a return visit.

We have just enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal here. The flavour of the creamy garlic mushrooms was so rich and almost meaty, the broccoli soup was lovely and we both enjoyed the liver with creamy mash and lots of nice fresh vegetables. Lynne was friendly and attentive and Andy is an accomplished chef. We would definitely return.
