Caspari in Runnymede

Visited here for a family birthday and had a lovely evening. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The choice of food and drink is fantastic and all the dishes were delicious. Such a lovely atmosphere in the place and we will be back very soon. I would highly recommend Caspari

Excellent squid and whitebait. So fresh and tasty but disappointed with seafood spaghetti, sauce watered down and bit tasteless. Air con blasting down made food get cold quickly. Air con not required as coldest night of the winter so far!!

I had dinner here with a small group of friends one very quiet Sunday evening. We all had an excellent time with really great food and attentive service. The restaurant is fairly large but is designed such that it doesn’t feel that way, there is also some interesting Italian decor including a Fiat 500 car. Couldn’t fault anything and would very happily visit again.

Came here for Xmas dinner with work !! My Roast dinner was cold the carrots were rock hard and broccoli the stuffing was like baby food and pigs in blankets were like rocks when I was asked was my meal ok I explained All this and the manager came over and just said the pigs in blankets go hard when it’s cold ?? No sorry or offer of a hot meal not impressed at All ruined the evening would Not come back for an Xmas dinner for £33 😤 Terrible service

Lovely evening here at Caspari, great welcome which is always a good start. Good menu choices, we shared the most delicious garlic bread, one with cheese and one without between the six of us. It didn’t need the cheese despite some on our table insisting it did! We had a selection or both pasta and risotto dishes, all of which were excellent! Unfortunately we didn’t have room for desserts but next time, we will be back !

Really nice restaurant with a great look and feel. Food was very very good. I had the formagio starter and my wife the bruschetta. Both weee amazing. For mains I had the pasta with chicken and prawn. Probably the best pasta I have ever eaten. The sauce was to die for and the prawn and chicken cooked to perfection.

Great food and service and good atmosphere. We went for my daughters birthday and had a cocktail, starter and main And all of it was lovely.

We have been using this restaurant for a number of years, always having a positive experience. Recently the restaurant and bar have undergone a refurbishment, which is superb ! Tonight we just had drinks, but the atmosphere was fantastic. There was a Latin American group, they were very pleasant addition to our drinks in the bar area. However, what was really pleasant was that all the customers and staff were smiling, the staff were engaged with all customers and were up dancing with customers too. This is an atmosphere and environment I’ve not seen in a restaurant for a while. Great work to the management and staff. We look forward to hopefully supporting you next music evening 🌟

Father's day lunch. Food good, service good, prices higher than expected even in the current climate. Menu said surcharge of 10% on parties of 5 or more. 4 of us, 10% surcharge added to the bill, by pen, not picked up at time of paying. Feeling caught for surcharge. Will check bill throughly if we return.

The service and the meal was excellent and all the staff were very friendly, the meal was for Father’s Day and we all enjoyed

I have been going to caspari for years for family special celebrations. Always thought of it as a family friendly restaurant. Sadly they have removed the childrens menu and dont offer cheaper half size portions. So the expectation was that i order a £16 main each for my 2 and 4 year old. We ate at 4.30pm so would not impact on those that want a peaceful child free evening so i dont know why they cant be more inclusive in the early part of the evening. The message was loud and clear..they no longer welcome children in there restaurant. Unfortunately having been going for 15 years we will no longer be having family celebrations there. The refurb is lovely and the staff were very friendly. The service was slow with our meal taking 3 hours.

Nice refurb, big improvement. Such a shame it’s still the same manager. He’s very abrupt and comes across rude. He really lets the team down as the rest of the staff are very nice. Had the rib-eye steak which was good though.

My partner and I had been working late and didn't feel like driving home to cook. We called into Miller & Carter where despite being only half full they told us the kitchen was too busy to accept new diners ! So, as we were in Chertsey, we Googled local restaurants and found Caspari, a restaurant we had not visited before. I called them to say we were nearby and to ask if they had a table free. We were warmly told that they would be pleased to accommodate us. Upon arrival we were welcomed and shown to a lovely table. Our first impression was that the restaurant looks amazing and was spotlessly clean. Service was both friendly and professional. There is an interesting menu of italian classics, steaks and even burgers. We ordered some garlic bread with cheese as a starter then for our mains my partner chose a risotto and I opted for short rib with a side of fresh vegetables. Everything tasted fresh, flavoursome and perfect. We will be returning as soon as possible. Oh yes ... Thank you Miller & Carter. Without you we would not have found this gem of a restaurant.

We came to caspari with some of our friends for the first time. We enjoyed all our dishes except for one, which was the Seabass. We explained to the manager this was overdone and his response was 'Well If you want it raw, then that's very dangerous but you must tell us before' This was not the response we were looking for, instead he could have just offered a different dish or remade my Seabass as it was hard like rock which was a shame as I didn't even finish it, complete waste of £27. We ended up spending £243 in total and he still didn't even bother to remove it from the bill when he could see that we didn't eat it. I would have expected more from a manager at this restaurant but instead tried to put it back on the customer as if it will be our fault! This was the branch in Chertsey. You can see from the side of the fish how overcooked it was, the skin was completely overdone.

We were looking for a restaurant that could accommodate us after a sporting event so there was a group of us including a wheelchair. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was wonderful and very reasonable in price. We will certainly return.

My work holiday party was at Caspari. The restaurant was clean and staff was very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. The only disappointment was the prawn appetizer came with the shell on them. I have had prawns with just the tail part covered with shell but not the entire prawn. My colleagues felt that was strange too. The appetizer was yum!

Excellent food , excellent service , wonderful atmosphere with genuinely friendly staff. So nice to have pre dinner drinks in their relaxing Cocktail / Lounge bar before being shown to our table again afterwards to have one for the road.

I frequently visit Chertsey on business and this is my go to restaurant. Always a good selection of specials, pizza is fabulous as are the salads and pasta dishes.

Went here with the wife last night purely by chance. I am so glad we did!!! I had the garlic & chilli prawns to start, pizza for main and tiramusu for dessert. All 3 courses were faultless. The wife enjoyed hers too!!! We will 100%...

Food was really good, but pricey. Manager was hopeless. We knew when we pre-booked for lunch that it was Christmas and could be busy. We were not advised to give advance warning of what we wanted to eat. Only when we arrived were we told that food might be delayed. But we waited 40 minutes for the preparation of a cold starter. The manager told us that this was because others had pre-ordered and because the tomatoes had to be sliced just before plating up. Not impressive. When spoken to the manager was totally uninterested. He said he had warned us of delay and that others had priority. That was the approach used in the Soviet Union when we were there. This manager desperately needs some training in customer service. His complete lack of interest or acceptance of responsibility is in marked contrast to that of the brilliant manager at Caspari in Englefield Green. Conclusion : Don’t go to Caspari in Chertsey. GO TO CASPARI IN ENGLEFIELD GREEN !!!

The photo says it all. Disgusting. Spot the roast potato. Undercooked parsnips. Vile "gravy". There are better microwave dinners over the road in Sainsbury.

Went here with friends for a get together on a Thursday night. They was a live singer on who sang some great songs and had a very good voice. The only trouble was it was so loud we could not hear each other talking so...

My favourite place to eat! Absolutely love it here! I have been so many times that they even know my order! I have spent a Christmas here as well as a birthday. They have such a personal approach and really care about their customers. They are able to cater for large groups just as well as smaller ones!

Such a lovely place to go for an evening meal. Myself and partner both had pizza which was big and delicious and the price was very reasonable! The atmosphere here is very relaxing and the pianist playing just tops everything off! The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Definitely recommend!

This is a great place for lunch of dinner. Lunch has a special menu & offer. As a family we always have the Pizzas which are generous size & full of flavour. Nice atmosphere and plenty of space to enjoy your meals. Perfect for large bookings too.

We went to lunch with our son in law who works close by. They had a lunchtime special for a pizza and drink. 3 of us ordered pizzas. All were very good. Especially the Romana pizza. It took a little time. As there were many pizzas going past to the other tables but worth the little wait. My wife had the Rigatoni Floriana and it was delicious. Service was very good and attentive. Very friendly waiter. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed the Thursday evening music but we were happy to listen rather than talk as we see our friends frequently. Food is superb and always really hot. Excellent choice on menu.

Daughter has just moved to Chertsey and was looking for somewhere to eat Sunday evening. Was recommended Caspari. Was not disappointed. What a fabulous evening. Huge bar when you walk in and the restaurant is also very big. Service was great and after about 30 mins a piano player started up who was excellent. Really created a great atmosphere. Food was really good. Large portions, especially the desserts. Will certainly be returning.

We had booked a over night stay at Thorpe Park for my daughters 10th birthday and decided to eat at this restaurant. Based on so many positive reviews I was excited to try. Upon arrival it was very busy which is a good sign.

Had a lovely meal here, food was really good, staff friendly and the pianist (Sunday evening) was excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

Visited on Friday 13th September for my birthday. Food excellent, vegetables cooked perfectly. Most restaurants serve undercooked vegetables, but these were perfect, even though the restaurant was very busy. Dinner wasn't rushed, had time between courses to digest. Deserts were really tasty. Only issue was the restaurant was so noisy...but must be something to do with the building. But overall great experience. Will try Englefield Green restaurant next week, its smaller and hopefully not so noisy.

Went for a Saturday night dinner with friends. We hadn't booked so was lucky to get a table as it was very busy.

What a wonderful find as we made our way back from chertsey station to our campsite . The food was superb , I had spaghetti dello chef which was full of delicious, very fresh prawns , mussels and squid combined in a rich tomato sauce . My husbands tagliatelle gamberetti was equally good. We couldn’t manage a dessert being too full. Would definitely recommend

For mother's Day we Booked Caspari from an online search. When it came to it, its quite hard to find. however it was very well worth the effort. This is a wonderful change from the interminable Pizza/Pasta Joints. Real Italian food, good choice, excellently served in a lovely ambiance. We took my partner's mother and went through the card! Even so, not that expensive and good value for money. I will certainly be going back! :-)

Dinner at Caspari was delicious - easily the best Italian food that we’ve eaten in years ... including in Italy!! The service was excellent which made our evening totally special.

Initially finding the place was very difficult, upon ringing the restaurant the directions given were awful.

This is a large, bustling restaurant where the welcome is warm and the service is friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is excellent with generous portions and reasonable prices, and there is a very good lunch time meal deal. Although the restaurant is large it is cleverly divided so that there are ideal tables for large parties or alternatively a dinner for two, or a smaller group. The tables are well set apart so a very comfortable place to eat, drink and talk. The place has a real buzz, what's not to like.

We've been regular Caspari customers for a number of years and Hamad and his team never fail to disappoint. Good food, lively atmosphere and excellent service (with special thanks to the charming waitress Esther) all contribute to the restaurant's appeal, as does the spacious layout and open kitchen.

The most rubbish service I have ever had. If you want to wait 2 hours for some food come here it won’t disappoint

We stumbled upon this restaurant by mistake as we are not from the area however we could not have been happier to dine here! We loved the food, with all 5 meals we ordered were delicious and tasty. Staff were friendly and polite and the cocktails were amazing!! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area, couldn't have asked for much more from a restaurant.

By booking the VIP area for a special party one would assume the service would be a little better than the normal restaurant.... It took the waiter a good 30 minutes before he came to take our orders. The starters arrived within 10 minutes and tasted very nice. 40 minutes had past and we questioned with the manager (assume he was the manager as he was dressed different to the rest of the waiters, shirt and trousers) where the mains were. He replied with “you’ve only been waiting 17 minutes and you need to be patient”. Liar as I had been looking at the time, and not even an apology. When the mains eventually arrived (at 9.30pm!) three of the mains were wrong, again no apology offered. Just huffs and puffs and big sighs and the manager trying to tell us that we ordered it wrong!!!! I had ordered sea food spaghetti. It was so bland I had to throw a pot of salt over it to give it some taste! We ordered desserts and they came out in good enough time. When the bill arrived, we were all a little shocked to see that they had added an extra £30 for service. Of course we refused to pay for terrible service. At time of paying we did bring up with the manager that the service was unacceptable and terribly slow, and also brought up that not a single apology was offered and he expects us to pay a service charge! His response.....get ready for it....”this is not McDonald’s where they churn food out, this is a restaurant and you need to be patient”. Reading some recent reviews, it appears we were not the only ones to experience this awful service. Needless to say I will not return here again, plenty of other decent and authentic Italian restaurants around!

Went with 4 friends and we all ordered pizza. They were above average ... well cooked, crispy underneath, nice toppings.

Have been here a few times and always enjoyed it. Tonight we took a friend and as soon as we walked I was worried as it was very busy.

Noisy. 2.5 hrs to get pizza and pasta is ridiculous.Sat down at 8.00pm and had our food at 10.30pm.The waiters were miserable and could care less about the delay. I will never return.

Food was scrummy. Cost was very reasonable. Everyone that worked there was super friendly. Great eve had by all.

Food is ok, staff not the friendliest and they refuse to let you eat outside as they say they are too busy to carry food outside. We said we’d quite happily get it from the bar inside and all we wanted was 2 pizzas but they wouldn’t have it. This happened a few times after the first time where we sat inside we left.

Out for dinner with 2 work colleagues in the early evening, staff were all very pleasant and attentive, food was tasty and plentiful. The atmosphere was relaxing as there was live music although this may have been slightly intrusive for the tables closer to the speakers.

Visited as both a couple and a family on multiple occasions. We very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The service was great! We booked when we were in a large group, but just turned up otherwise and was seated quickly.

We booked a table for 4 for dinner at 7.30, when we arrived we gave our name and the time for our booking but the guy didn’t seem to be bothered, he showed us a table directly next to the ladies toilet, kitchen we asked to sit at another table and he said we could, my husband ordered the lamb and our friends had liver and the other chicken, they all enjoyed there meals, I however thought that as this was a Italian restaurant I would play it safe and have a pasta dish, this was pasta in spicy tomatoes sauce with meat balls, there was not enough sauce the pasta I would say had 1 ladle of sauce and then whisked around so as to just coat the pasta which made the dish very dry and the meatballs dry and boring, when it came to the desserts I continued with the Italian theme and ordered tiramisu, this was also disappointing as when I have had this in other restaurants the sponge is usually socked in spirit this did not even have the slightest touch another disappointment, it was a shame because the restaurant has a nice feel to it and we enjoyed our evening, even if I didn’t like my meal, I would however give it one more try just in case I was unlucky, one other point it is very hard to get park very limited spaces on the main road,as the restaurant does not have it’s owner car park.

As a couple we visited early Friday evening, roughly 6.30 pm and were seated quickly and politely. The focus wasn't spectacular but it was good, if a little dry and undercooked for two dishes. Nonetheless the taste was there so I'll give that a star. However as the place got busier the 2 staff and presumably the manager were increasingly busy and we waited 20 minutes or more for the bill despite assurances. The manager explained that 2 staff had called in sick which is not his fault but I should think that a place that gets as busy as they do should have more waiting staff for weekends. 2 are not enough, 6 should be the norm, the customers are there so I see no reason not to get more boots on the ground.

Four of us dined here over Easter and all of us had a delicious meal. The Pollo Rigatoni was excellent (pictured). The Pinot blush was delicious too. Would be five stars but the music was just too loud for a dining experience. The volume would be fine for the bar but we couldn’t hear ourselves talk at times.

Very tasty meal rounding off a lovely day at nearby Thorpe Park. 3 of us is had sea bass which was well cooked with great flavour. Deserts were delicious

12 friends and the organiser forgot to book the table but we were found one and the food although slightly limited to pasta or pizza, was excellent as was the service Had the crab ravioli full of flavour highly recommended

New to the area and looking for an evening meal, I took to TA to find a solidly recommended place to visit and once again, TA came through.

Had a good pizza here back in January with a friend. Reasonably priced, pleasant restaurant in Chertsey.

Visited recently with my family and although the food was good I cannot understand why it took an hour for the starters. Won't bother again.

Been using Caspari’s for a few years, never had a problem. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service unhurried and tables have a decent gap between them, so you don’t feel crammed in. They have a nice bar area to start/finish your meal. The staff are attentive and polite. A great local venue.

Nicely decorated, quite luxurious, really good food and a family atmosphere. We were given a large table as there were 10 of us. I would expect it to be quite expensive but I didn’t pay so can’t comment.

As I work nearby I often pop in for either a quick drink after work with local colleagues or even an evening meal if colleagues are visiting from our other sites, I always recommend taking them to Caspari’s. The food is excellent and the Staff are very polite, very helpful and ALWAYS available if you need any assistance. The Menu and the daily specials are excellent and there is a lady behind the bar called Ellie who is extremely helpfully and provides us with world class service EVERYTIME we visit. Thank you Ellie.

We regularly go here sometimes just for a drink or drink/meal. Went to Xmas lunch. 5 of us inc a 7 year old. Absolutely superb. Fantastic food and service. Hats off to all the staff. If in Chertsey you have to go.

My company booked this restaurant for a business dinner and the food is absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend the lamb, the service was also at the top of its game. Would return here for sure.

I booked a table for 20 people for a certain date which was accepted with no issues. when I had to change the date,( which was done with plenty of notice), to a few days later, I was told by a very rude man that I had to pay £100 deposit or pay £10 for every person who didn't turn up. I have booked and had meals and this restaurant many many times for varying amounts of numbers of people and never been spoken to so rudely. I explained that I couldn't be responsible for people not turning up on the night so would not be able to pay the extra. this would not be fair on me. I was then told to go elsewhere. customer service from this man was disgusting and unacceptable.

Very good. 2 adults & 2 children (age 12 & 14). Short wait for a table even though we had not booked. Decent meals all round. One of the best Carbonara's I've had. Decent size portions. The Crème Brulee for dessert was lovely, also a decent size unlike the usual small offerings of this. I'd definitely go back with the family if we're in town again. Kids struggled to eat starter & a main. I helped.

Staying in Chertsey for a few nights on business. Stayed and ate at the Crown for 2 nights but at Travelodge last night. Noted good reviews for Caspati and as round the corner decided to give it a try. Not immediately obvious with a Subway in front and not a cosy place either but clean, tidy and nicely furnished so pretty relaxed vibe. Staff friendly and efficient. Food served quickly, perhaps a bit too quickly but as a table of one perhaps I was assumed as a post work communter, no problem anyhow. Food was really tasty, good portions and well priced. If I ever return to the area I would revisit and would recommend to others.

been to this restaurant many times and had wonderful food and excellent service, but a little disappointing this time. It was busy (but that is normal) and very noisy (also normal) but the spark was missing. the service was not as friendly as usual and the food wasn't quite as good. Maybe they were having an off day. we will go back Im sure, but maybe not for a little while.

We visited at 8pm on a Friday evening during the bank holiday. They were so accommodating as we hadn’t reserved. Had a lovely table in the middle. The food was amazing! Huge portions! The prawn starter was the best starter I’ve ever had! So much flavour and a good portion! My other half had meatballs and that was enough for a main! Mains we had the crab ravioli and lamb shank. Both cooked to perfection! The house rose wine was really nice too. Great restaurant. Definitely recommend!

My family and I were given a warm welcome here and were served by a lovely and friendly waiter! The food was so tasty! Absolutely divine! The atmosphere was wonderful too with a great pianist playing!

Had a meal here for a family birthday on Saturday. The restaurant was busy but the service was excellent & the food as usual was very good. I would definitely recommend the pizzas. The meal was very good value for money.

I live in Chertsey and admittedly, it's not the most exciting corner of the earth. It's a fairly quiet little place with very little to shout about, apart form the new Aldi that have opened up. Fortunately, Caspari is almost right on my doorstep.
