Stayed a couple of nights ... Lovely view out over the river and bridge.

Lovely little restaurant, great atmosphere, lovely food and the service from the Evie was excellent, we'd definitely come back

Perfect spot for your pub lunch or dinner lovely roaring fire and dog friendly Good vegitarisn options all home made and desserts were fab!

We called in while we were waiting for friends to arrive in York. The pizza was really good. Beer was good.

Sorry, but this is a bad review. Visited today, Sunday at 4pm. Pleasant enough young lad behind the bar, but kept disappearing from behind the bar ( can only guess he's a smoker) as came back in wearing his coat! No atmosphere in the pub whatsoever! No crisps or peanuts to buy, was told " they didn't get sent with the order" Hardly anyone in, no log burner lit or even glowing, no candles on table to add to ambience! Ladies toilets were a sham, folded up napkins in one toilet instead of toilet roll, the other cubicle had blue hand towels for toilet use. Would not recommend, and needs shutting down, or find someone to run the pub like it should be! Will not be returning 😔
