Casey's Coffee House in Tendring

The coffee was nice. The prices were reasonable. The cakes looked nice and homemade but the buttercream was made with margerine and that flavour was foul. We all scraped the icing off our cake and just ate the sponge because we hadn't had lunch.

Ordered two coffees to take out this morning. The staff were helpful and friendly and were advising customers of a 15 minute wait for food, but no mention of a long wait for a couple of hot drinks. I waited around 20 minutes for my coffee to appear. They were very quick to redo one cup which should have been black but very obviously had milk in it. I'd buy coffee there again, but wouldn't do so on a bank holiday Sunday! Reasonably priced - I got change from £4 for two coffees.

Attentive polite staff, lovely food. Ignore the reviews about being unfriendly.. I wouldn't expect staff only just open again after a global pandemic to race to my table to greet me. Particularly if its counter service so no need for them to break socially distancing just to make you feel welcomed... I'd rather them adhere to social distancing. They always thank you and say goodbye but they can't always hear if they're in the back busy making drinks and food. Some people just love a moan. I think it's brilliant there and highly recommend it.

When arriving here no one came over to the table, I found this to be unwelcoming, as I had no idea it was counter service. Food was warm, no salt an pepper and when I left I said thank you and got no response from the staff! Would not go back here. Rude and unwelcoming does not warrant a return.!

Ordered inside. Sat outside due COVID. One table free but not cleared, Sat at the table and waited. The order was brought out and the waitress attempted to place it on the table and clear it at the same time. No sanitiser used.

Nice cafe close to the seafront with lovely latte, cappuchino & walnut cake. Our table was freshly wiped down for Covid cleaning and Q-code sign available at the door for Test & Trace phone app. Staff had a good sense of humour and served well. Everyone wore masks on entry until seated and we felt very safe - gazing out of the window watching the world go by.

We popped in for a take away coffee as their tables outside were full up and we didn't want to sit indoors. Everywhere was socially distanced and tables cleared and wiped down before the next customers. They seemed to concentrate on the sitting down customers before the take away ones. Coffee was nice.

Myself and wife went there today, great service and wellcome, great coffee and teacake and great value thanks.

Went for lunch which was not to the standard of previous owner. Cleanliness due to covid was non existent. No track and trace. People seated when tables were not cleared and cleaned. Will not go back.

As a local business, we use Casey's on a daily basis. Whether it's a cappuccino or a hot chocolate, and a toasted sandwich or jacket potato, it's always excellent. Lovely friendly staff,definitely well worth a visit.

Great place to stop for Morning Coffee, Lunch or Afternoon Teas! A good selection of tasty food at very reasonable prices and a mouthwatering selection of delicious cakes. As a special treat, you can choose a couple of hand-made chocolates to go with your cuppa. A warm welcome from friendly staff completes your visit!

The jacket potatoes at Casey's cafe are simply delicious! I recommend the bacon one! The staff are very friendly as well.

Not good, no ventilation, smoky, empty, and food not good. Cheap but not nice Wont return. Many other places, I ate cake later in Harry's Bar, very nice Beverley
