We love the casa! Our first time since the move from West Quay and the atmosphere and food is as good as always! Paulo is amazing and such a credit to the restaurant. He just wants people to have a good time and is really fostering it! But! A warning about the parking. I parked there at night and struggled to see what the deal was with the parking. Don't park in the blue spaces as I promptly got a parking fine. They are for permit holders only and a ticket won't help you. If someone from casa brasil is reading this, to help with any confusion for your patrons, please stick a sign outside telling people to not park in the spots where a fine is possible. Thanks guys, see you again soon!

It’s not the same as it used to be! Nice front man very bubbly and nice but the rest service pretty bad. No communication between waiters. Long gaps between service of different meats. Ordered the water that never arrived etc Lots of room for improvement!

New location,but probably even better than before,staff food as always amazing n very tasty.will be going again for sure.even having to travel 45minutes to get there, well recommend Paulo n his stuff n just so enjoyable n fun to be around

Everything there is great, the staff are friendly and especially the prices here are very cheap because food is constantly served and you are allowed to eat until you are full. Currently, the Ocean Village branch has a self-serve cold salad bar and dessert bar. I recommend you try this restaurant for lunch or dinner, it will surprise and delight you.

I can’t believe this place has more than a 1-star rating. Awful in every way, the food was horrendous, poor service and obvious hygiene issues.

A new year's treat , although the place wasn't busy it sure was a real good menu and service was great , will come again.

Went for dinner, was seated after 5 mins of waiting, then sat for another 15 waiting for a server who had a horrid attitude, food then turnt up after another 20 min wait, wasn’t even warm, waited another 15 mins for a cold dessert the size of a shot glass, highlight was the tv. Small portions big attitude over priced, don’t go there. Rather have a mcdonalds ( tv has milk cannons on tho )

Just had another birthday celebration at our local Casa Brasil, everything was perfect from the very start, the service the quality of food and the welcome. Such a fabulous atmosphere, made possible by the guys that work there, just magic, can't praise them highly enough. A+ all the way...

Where do I start......a most warm welcome for a party of 14 for a 30th birthday meal. Atmosphere is fantastic. A wonderful birthday song for the birthday girl from all the team. Warm friendly happy smiling staff. Food is quality and plentiful. Ate till we were stuffed , reasonably priced for a lunchtime birthday. Would recommend and will definitely return.

Visited over the weekend for a friend's birthday. Definitely would need to book as it was very busy. Great atmosphere, lovely food the only nag I have is the drinks took ages to come, other then that had a lovely time.

Terrible honestly wouldn’t advise eating here. I’d of much rathered a meal deal from Tesco. Over priced dogs food seriously bad tummy the following day and will not be revisiting. !!!! And extremely overpriced. Avoid!!!!!

Great place and amazingly friendly team. Food was fast and fresh. My only comment is that our waiter asked me if I wanted a pepsi and I was given a pepsi max, I later realized they don't sell any full sugar coke or pepsi , I have an aspartame intolerance which is an issue with any diet drinks would be nice to have the choice of a regular coca cola. But asides from this absolutely amazing experience, the team were super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Definitely worth a visit 🙂

Meat until you explode. £22 for lunch is an absolute steal ! Every option of meat and sides was absolutely perfect.

First time here for my family and was quiet disappointed. The sides are tiny we didn't get much meat 4 in all and what we had was quiet dry . We kept asking for garlic bread and when it finally arrived it was cold and like hockey pucks. The creamy mushrooms were horrible to much turmeric tainted everything else . My husband is a chef and he can do better. Desert was tiny but tasty. On the upside the head waiter was lovely and a good atmosphere. But will not be going again £130 out of pocket for 3 peaple not alot of bang for the buck . Shame

I’ve just got back after visiting Casa brasil west quay Southampton on a Saturday evening. I don’t know where to start. We arrived at four pm for a friends birthday which entitles you to a buffet all you can eat for around £21. There were 16 of us and It was nearly five before we got our drinks which at that point we thought was acceptable as we all arrived slightly after each other. It took two attempts to get the order right as they kept forgetting to bring over mine and my partners. One cocktail was dropped over one of our friends and that was cleared quickly but he was frustrated and very wet. We were told that cocktail would not be charged for! No kidding?! The food eventually came and it was nice … a good mix but not huge amounts. The sides were not replenished often enough which meant we were just eating bits of meat. As soon as we ordered desserts it became a bit of a shambles. Not enough were brought over and we requested two more times for more. They never arrived. I feel like the staff were extremely disinterested and kept walking by without asking if we needed anything. I noticed other customers also waiting for a long time. By the time we actually got our bill we had been in the restaurant for 3 hours. They tried charging us for the rate after 4.30pm and when I explained that the service had been poor they tried to answer back. The whole experience was poor to unacceptable and although the food was ok it didn’t fill me up and I could have bought a better meal elsewhere. Personally I won’t be coming back and I don’t think the other 15 will either. Sorry guys let’s hope that these bad vibes don’t spread too far. I would say avoid the west quay restaurant and try another one. There are no excuses for this slow service when you had over ten members of staff working.

Been here a few times now and it’s great. Meat is hot and fresh, always good quality meat. Large amount of sides offered. It does always take a while to get drinks but that’s fine really when the food is so good. The manager is lovely and always friendly and happy to help.

I went to a MEAT restaurant and ate pure chicken and chorizo, one hour 15 minutes and within an hour they passed on the meat, the staff is inattentive, there are better options for less price, I had a very bad time, I won't go again...

Toda la comida es increíble. vine aquí para mi cumpleaños de socios hoy y el servicio era bueno y todos nuestros pedidos de guarniciones, postres y bebidas se nos trajo muy rápido... Cada miembro del equipo era profesional y era un ambiente muy acogedor. En general fue una buena experiencia y mi lugar favorito en Southampton para ir! 🙂

Comimos bien, y la comida era abundante, PERO atraer al equipo de servicio para la carne de las brochetas fue un desafío. Para ser justos, tuvimos éxito en la mayoría de las solicitudes, sin embargo, otras tablas no lo fueron. Y algunas carnes acaban de pasarnos. Diciendo eso, disfrutamos de los entrantes y la carne. Sobre todo Turquía. Los pudines eran muy decepcionantes, pero para entonces estábamos llenos de todos modos. En la noche que fuimos, todos menos uno inodoro no funcionaba! Podría haber sido un reto mayor, pero afortunadamente aguantamos hasta llegar a los baños del cine. Coste para 4 fue de £ 129. Volvería, pero hay muchas otras opciones cerca.

Sábado 6 pm visita. Personal de camarero no muy atento. Pedimos nuestras guarniciones solo la mitad apareció. Tuve que perseguirlos tres veces. Sentí como si fuéramos la última mesa en el restaurante para conseguir la carne. Solo teníamos 4 carnes diferentes a nuestra mesa y cada vez solo quedaban los extremos. Perseguidos por los postres para los niños tardaron 20 minutos en llegar y de nuevo 3 desaparecidos. Al final nos rendimos y sacamos a los niños del restaurante. Pedí factura. Incorrecto 3 veces y luego tuvimos que obtener efectivo como máquina que no funciona. Nuestros postres desaparecidos aparecieron cuando salimos de la mesa. Lamento no volver a visitarte. Muy caro para lo que tenemos.

Low score for atmosphere because it was late lunchtime and not many people there. They tried and service was friendly. Food wise I didn’t understand the fuss of other reviews. Lots of it so I left full, but not the greatest quality and the meat was all VERY salty; presumably to encourage you to drink more. I won’t be returning.

El mejor restaurante de Southampton, es muy bueno y se puede comer gratis en su cumpleaños. Todo el mundo tiene que ir y no es caro.

I love this place. I wish I lived closer. Only grumble is they deliberately get you on the drinks.. 4.50 something for a fruit shoot, beer is close to 7 quid (although it's really good beer).

Amazing food all round, staff super friendly. The format - all you can eat sides with waiters bring different meats to your table - works brilliantly, you end up with a massive pile of different things very quickly - all of which are delicious - and the gradual nature of it means you’ll probably find room for more than you normally would. Probably shop before if you can as we found ourselves very full afterwards 😂

My first visit at Casa Brasil in Southampton left me with mixed feelings. The staff was cheerful and polite but the food experience was a big disappointment. The meat was very salty and overdone a lot of the times. The side dishes were the best part of the evening and we needed to ask three times before a bottle of water was served.

Costumer severice is so nice. The food is amazing everything is good quality all the staff are so polite.

Really great place, different experience to a normal restaurant. I would say going first time, wasn’t really sure how it all worked and would say it was not overly clear, but staff were helpful. Not really the place for vegetarians, with only really 2 options, however the halloumi skewer was absolutely delicious so was not a problem.

The staff here were very pleasant, so it's a shame to say that I paid £123 for a substandard experience {for 3, no alcohol) . The food is generally quite bland and the meat often tough/fatty/chewy. Dirty windows and disgusting toilets. I feel very much extorted.

This is my favourite way to eat. Since lockdown you order the sides you want (all you can eat) and it's even better! Great quality food cooked so well and the staff are always amazing. If you've never been to a brazilian barbecue make sure you try it. The pineapple is so good too!

Never even bothered to give a proper review the required deposit put me off from even seeing if they’re worth the effort. I would have loved to try out this place. But I’m not paying a deposit just to book a seat.

Casa Brazil is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves great steak. We’ve visited many times, and while not every experience has been perfect, the dedication of the staff always shines through. You can take the name Brazil out of this place, food totally aimed at foreigners, poorly seasoned and very few meat options!

Always a friendly atmosphere here, they're very swift to come to your table to check up on you, they are always around with the different meats so never left waiting for it. Great variety of unlimited sides and unlimited desserts, you're never leaving here hungry!

All In all, it’s always a great time and we can’t wait to return. As an extra note, I’ve seen several reviews about small portions, especially the desserts. It’s an all you can eat, so if they haven’t hit the spot, just order more. I think it’s very sensible to not oversize the desserts as it reduces waste. Just order what you need and enjoy.

I ate here for lunch yesterday. I was very disappointed. First, the chicken barbecue was very dry it appears it has been in the fire for long hours and it taste like it was cooked a day ago and was reheated on the grill again. Then, the beef was very tough, it was not the best cut so it felt like I was chewing a rubber. We did eat more of the turkey and pork because it was the only softer chewable meat in there but the rest are substandard. Would be nice if they marinate their meats first so it is tastier then maybe try to cook in small batches so the customer can enjoy a freshly cook one. I don't mind paying more as long as I get served with the best cut of beef that would just melt in your mouth. Unfortunately the side dishes was so bad as well, you can tell that it was reused from a day or so ago, the fried fish taste like it was frozen for long time, the only fresh on the selection was the house salad. Service was not great either, I asked for a table water but the waiter did not come back at all. Overall, I went home full of grilled pineapple in my stomach, it was the only thing I enjoyed. I thought I could eat better food at home with my airfryer only. Never again unless they make some changes on the quality of cooking and food.

We were in a group of 8 people, arrived there in the last minute and it was great. Can’t speak higher of this place. Perfect combination of great food quality, amazing flavours and very dedicated team staff which made our day.

We went with a friend on a Friday night, with high expectations. The place was clean, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but the food was nothing special. Nothing stood out. The unlimited desserts were tiny, in a small pot. Not very tasty, either...

The staff were amazing. The food was not. HEAD OFFICE: Sort out the quality of your food to reflect the quality of your staff, especially the manager who was lovely and created sucj a good party atmoshpere it made me forget, briefly, how bad my meal was. Maybe it's just me as my friends seemed to enjoy it but I would not go again and definitely not for that money. £35 a head for supposed all you can eat food but I left feeling hungry. Even though they're all wearing shirts saying 'come hungry, leave happy'. For me it was more the other way around. You order lots of little bowls of 'tapas', so salads, rice, a black bean and pork dish, mac and cheese, chips. And honestly it was all AWFUL. All very tasteless, not at all exciting. A beetroot and onion salad was literally some picked onions and beetroot in a bowl. The rice and pasta were dry. If there was a sauce on anything it was weird and runny and again, just didn't taste nice. The main attraction is this 'endless supply of meats', I've no idea why anyone is excited about this part. They're constantly bbqing big skewers of meat that staff bring round to different tables at a time until it's all been cut off the skewer and given to whoever wants it. Everyone was raving about this meat and honestly I was so shocked at how rubbish it was. Again, really dry, the nicest thing was gammon which I found hilarious because you could just go to any English place and get gammon. They had about 7 different types of meat with various 'flavours', none of which were nice or I could taste. And by the time they've gone round the whole restaurant, which is massive, it's pot luck if you get a good selection of all of them. Often by the time it got to our table there was so little left on the skewer we could only have a tiny bit. You can have as much as you want but even if there's lots there you feel rude taking loads of pieces (maybe an English thing?!) when most are just have one or two slithers. So you're eating the main part of your meal in these tiny slithery portions. I thought the chorizo and pork belly options would be good but no. The chorizo tasted like a fat bbqed hot dog and the pork belly never came! We only saw that go past when we were on to deserts! Which were also 'bottomless'. They were these tiny cups of different puddings, so I thought ok, I'll make the most of this, but again... nope. They were sometimes nice at first but then overpowering tastes of coffee etc. or just became really really sickly. The drinks were crazy prices. I paid £7.20 for a mocktail which turned out to be mango juice and lemonade 🤦🏻‍♀️ So didn't taste worth that money at all. The only nice thing I can say is the restaurant looked really nice and the staff. However, one waiter kept coming over with the meat skewers going 'anyone for unicorn?', anyone for 'Peppa Pig?' ....!!! My 3 year old daughter was clearly sat in the middle of the booth and maybe he doesnt realise how hard it can be to get a 3 year old to eat all their food anyway?! I thought I miss heard him at first when he said unicorn and I panicked and looked at my daughter, she looked confused and was taking in what he'd said. I sort of tried to laugh it off and hope he wouldn't say it again but then everyone joined in with the joke and kept repeating that they'd eat the unicorn. So maybe I'm being uptight about that part, thankfully my daughter just went with it and maybe she thought we were eating unicorn, I don't know?! But why would you say those things at a table that has a toddler??! I didn't get the joke. I thought it was weird and could easily backfire. Everything seemed to take so long to come it went on for ages. But the company I was with was really lovely and they all seemed to have a great time. But seriously....whoever is in charge of tasting and shipping out the clearly mass produced sides and deserts. Please do better and meet your customers expectations.

Lovely restaurant. Great food. Reasonable price. Good location. Restaurant is spacious and bright in atmosphere. A lot of natural light throughout. One price and eat as much as you like. Great system with the red/green disc. They also have special nights on with entertainment. Will definitely be going back. For meat lovers I would definitely recommend 👍

The food was okay. Found most of the meats quite salty. Had chips and coleslaw for side which was nice. It's okay but don't think I'd return

The food is good, but the minus points is the staff always honing there knives in the honing rod and not wiping the knives, they directly cutting it to the meat without cleaning the knife, no one wants metal shards on there food.

My Birthday Meal lets start from the start, after looking online for new exciting places to visit for food i came across this online and the reviews where almost all good, so i decided to give it ago, that was a bad choice. the food was terrible, they sever these little side dishes chips, rice, meatballs ext., all of these all you can eat but the quality was terrible, chips look and tasted like they have been sitting in a tub cooked from the day before and the meatballs with a thick layer of oil when severed, all the meat tasted funky, very cheap cuts of meat and to top it of i was severed cut right in front of me raw gammon, I'm guessing EHO would have a field day as no food health and safety went into making sure the meat was cooked as I saw not one bit of meat probed and temperature checked. I complained about the meat and the waiter said, yes it does seem a bit raw then walked away, didn't even take away the raw gammon thinking that we wanted it. desserts where tasteless and the smallest portion sizes I've ever seen even a child i over heard saying 'is that it'. I just don't understand how anyone can ruin a rice pudding. beer prices are the same price as if you where to go to London, £5 for a lemonade. we paid and left, went to the nearest drive through for some food for 2 hour long drive back home. all in all I wont ever be returning!

It will take 3 for the food to stop being a rude and abusive Portuguese. He came to ask me what I thought of the food, I just said that I didn't like the dessert and it's okay, the kiss we eat in Brazil is brigadeiro style and not a bit of coconut mixed with condensed milk, if he asked he wanted to know , at no point did I say anything bad about the food, just the dessert, which for me is a sweet that I ate in my childhood and doesn't remind me of anything. He countered by saying that the restaurant is aimed at foreigners and not Brazilians. Well, well, I suggest you change the name. Portuguese people don't know how to make a dessert that isn't made with eggs. He still called me rude, as if Portuguese colonization wasn't enough. Must be another xenophobic Portuguese. To be clear, I'm not the one working behind the counter. Rating 5 for the environment. To the next! I hope for a real Brazilian dessert, which can even be counted separately, but which fulfills the house's proposal, “Brazilian food” or change the name.

Quite poor . Staff were good but no gammon , no pineapple. Had to ask three times for water . Corn on cob sides were cold . One serving of chicken was not cooked had blood on bone still ( was pointed out to 2 separate members of staff, who just said they would tell the chef !) . Toilets were filthy . Will not be back

We went there on my birthday, spent 2 hours sat down waiting for food to be barely served.. we left hungry… i was very disappointed and upset… it is best to drive a bit further and go to other brazilian places

My partner and I decided to try Casa Brasil on my birthday for a date night and were absolutely blown away by the amazing service. And the food lived up to the same quality. We will definitely be returning here the restaurant is beautifully decorated with memorabilia etc. Absolutely brilliant and very generous. Highly highly recommend. PS. Make sure you try the cinnamon pineapple!

A good place to eat. The meat dishes are fabulous, the warm cinnamon pineapple is absolutely divine! Loses one star due to lack of seasoning / flavour in the side dishes which are a little bland in comparison to the excellent meats.

Saturday night Latino DJ was good with nice set up and strobe lights, good speakers but only scored a 4 because more people need to be there to fill the room! Food was amazing if your looking for a big buffet, out table was never empty. Big shout out to Paulo the manager he was wonderful. Thank you for a great birthday celebration:) on the day of your birthday you also eat free so only paid for drinks and service!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and checked on us frequently to ask if we need anything. We went for my friends birthday and she was delighted with the amazing time we had here! Thank you to everyone. I would definitely come back here!!!

The restaurant is colourful and spacious, it was good value especially as the kids were half price, there's lots of side dishes to choose from (both hot and cold) which are all served really quickly. The meats were all delicious, as well as the baked cinnamon pineapple, but there were times when we'd be waiting for a while for the next meats to come around to the table. You can order drinks through their app, but it would be handy to be able to order sides and desserts through the app as there'd be times when you'd be waiting a while to get somebody's attention to be able to order.

After a long and eventful drive from Scotland, we checked into our hotel and visited West Quay. We had a whole host of restaurants to choose from and luckily we chose Casa Brasil! The staff were friendly, attentive and chatty. The food was terrific. The cinnamon pineapple and bananas were a hit with all four of us. Every meat was delicious and cooked perfectly. Desserts were also nice. The kids really enjoyed their virgin Pina Coladas! I noticed some reviews mention small portions of starters e.g. salads. They are but you simply need to ask for another which doesn't add anything to the bill. Overall our family enjoyed the experience and the night was an excellent start to our holiday. We will recommend to friends and family who visit Southampton in the near future.

Meeats are not tasty. Extermly dry as they keep cooking same scews all day. Not enough choice if you are not eathing pork. Beaf meat was like rock stone. Starters just ordinary. You have to pay soft drinks extra and very expensive. Will not use again

Great food service, abysmal drinks service

This is the best Casa Brasil branch, hands down. I think it helps that the staff are all Portuguese/Brazilian because they all felt like a big family and it felt like they were welcoming you in to their home. Paulo, who I presume is the owner/manager, is an absolute delight (even after I said I didn't like his region, woops- my Portuguese needs work what can I say). I appreciated greatly that he still continued to talk Portuguese with me rather than switch to English as I do love giving it a go. The food was gorgeous as always and we couldn't get enough of the ananas com canela (pineapple coated in cinnamon sugar). I don't like pork but I had three different versions because it was cooked so well and full of flavour. We ate so much! Is it your birthday? Let them know and see what happens ;) I literally came hungry and left happy. Muito obridaga e até breve!

My group of 5 came here for dinner and cocktails on Friday and had the best time - really friendly staff who were in for a laugh and a joke, making us laugh all night - the manager was visiting the tables all night checking in on everyone and genuinely seemed to just be happy and actually enjoying talking to us all. They sang to our friend at the table and had us all laughing so hard my face hurt. On the way out we got lollipops and the bar stopped us for free shots The food was great and we were there in time for the 241 cocktail happy hour which was bonus as all their cocktails were fantastic Overall such a great night, really really great service that made our whole evening, will definitely be returning - honestly spent all night really having a great time and laughing throughout with people that genuinely seemed like theyre having a good time at work!

Honestly the most fun I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Staff were amazing and the manager was fantastic. A surprise birthday song was the highlight of the night. Food was excellent. Thank you!

Food was cheap and very good for value in terms of quantity. Quality therefore drops a bit but would certainly recommend.

I had an experience last Saturday, March 16th at the restaurant. I arrived at 2 in the afternoon and they served me the side dishes ok, I sat for exactly 1 hour and they only served beef twice. It looked like a pork rodizio, because that was all there was to it. the value does not match

I been here a few years ago and the food and the service was amazing, today was really disappointing, the food and especially the service, the waiter seemed a bit stressed and with zero patience, I don't like to give bad reviews but that's it

Absolutely incredible amazing food. Best meal (although me and my friend probably ate about 4 meals worth each) I've ever had. The staff are incredibly friendly too. Can't wait to go again. Travelled down from Nottingham to see my friend and will definitely go again next time I'm in Southampton! The desserts are amazing too, I had 6 mouses 👌🔥
