Tortilla Southampton in Southampton

In all honesty, I usually love tortilla, but today I had a relatively bad experience throughout. Initially the lady serving us seemed quite aggressive and heavy handed things were slammed and she seemed quite angry. We also got a very scarce amount of beef and rice. Seemed like they were rationing. We were then passed on to a slightly nicer lady who still seemed like she’d been chewing on a wasp. We also purchased a quesadilla and were given a really small amount of chicken. All in all, the burrito was tasty but barely filled, the quesadilla was bland and our sauce was forgotten. The service wasn’t great and the food wasn’t good value for money as we spent £30 and don’t really feel sufficed at all. Disappointed.

The price left a bitter taste in my mouth for a mediocre burrito. Go to Mexi-Go Go instead cheaper and better quality they don’t charge and extra £1 for a beef burrito or £1.50 for a blob of guacamole that’s £6 for us all to have a smidge of guacamole or £1/£4 for us all to have squeeze of cheese! For a family of four we had for lunch today 1 med beef burrito three large beef burritos all with guacamole and squeezecheese sauce, two of them I upgraded for a drink and a packet of corn chips that was an extra £3 each so other £6 and then my medium one and the other large one,I just added two drinks. Guess how much!!! with the added extra’s that I wasn’t aware of thinking that the Billboard advertised a large burrito at £9.50 and a medium at £8.50… the total price £59.50!! I took the family for a Toby Carvery the day before 4 roast dinners two pudding 1 orange juice 1 pint of beer and 2 cokes £60! I feel robbed and the burrito’s the beef was drier than a Mexicans flip-flop pretty mediocre, never going there again save your money and go go to Mexi Go go in London road runs circles around this place!

Took 1 hour on Uber eats and was stone cold

Honestly the food had me stuffed 😭 Bought a big burrito thinking it's going to be light work, but I wasn't ready to be met with a burrito nearly the size of my head! For £11.50 I feel like I got my moneys worth, especially with the £3 extra for chips and a drink. Albeit, the AriZona iced tea wasn't flavorful, it was alright at best, but the chips were just 🤌❤️ The staff were all friendly and really polite, especially the employee, Carla, who did a phenomenal job wrapping my burrito. I'll definitely be coming back here, as the food was delicious and EXTREMELY fulfilling!

Added dairy to a meal for someone who doesnt eat dairy. Completely left the salad out of a salad bowl, so the bowl was 2/3 empty

Took over 3 hours for the delivery to be made with no way of being able to cancel past a 5 minutes window, and bc the restaurant’s phone wasn’t working.

Food was half cold & half warm, my mother was eating her burrito, which was supposed to be vegetarian & she'd eaten most of it when she realised it had chicken in it, even though she was told it would be vegetarian.

It appears this delivery was sat on the side in the kitchen.. since as it was stone cold and took over an hour to prepare.. before the delivery driver got this. this is usually a fast food place no reason it could take an hour.

Isn't a bit of a contraction Guacamole is optional in a Borretto? Otherwise quite a tasty meal

Food wasn't delivered until 5:50pm despite I ordered food at 4:10pm. Food was cold, dry and tasted like a rubber. Very disappointed

Myself and my wife approached the front counter and immediately noticed no one was at the front counter. We were the only ones in the queue. We were waiting for someone to serve us, but no one approached us. Instead there were 4 people stood around the middle partition, that separates the back of house and front of house areas, looking on their phones and talking amongst themselves. What made the experience worse, is one person came to the front counter to restock some of the food, didn’t even acknowledge us, and walked right around the back again. It’s not like we were stood far back either, we were stood close to the glass/perspex screen where the food is held and the start of the front counter where you would have your order taken. Needless to say we did not order any food there and will not do any furthermore, especially when you have a more competitive and wider range with the competition, Mexigo.

Worst customer service I’ve ever received by a company! Our money was taken, food was never delivered, no-one tried to contact us about our delivery and when contacting Just Eat customer service we’ve been told there’s nothing they can do. This is absolutely outrageous behaviour and now we’re being blamed for the fact that the order never came!

I recently came to tortilla for the first time and was served by a young lady called Emily, she did a fabulous job helping me with all of the different options, will definitely be coming back thanks to her!

It never arrived. Not the fault of tortilla. But just eat never found a driver so it never got delivered. I want a refund and compensation

I was served by a girl named Emily, she was so sweet and friendly, had great style. She was speaking and making conversation with me while I was waiting for my quesadilla to cook. She put the perfect amount of chicken and cheese inside and it was cooked to perfection. The price was worth it for what you get, not that it was expensive by any means. 100% suggest more people go there, staff and food are great!

Very disappointed. Had high hopes... Looking around at the photos online, lots of people are having nice meals at Tortilla restaurants. Ours was... sludgy. It could have been worse. At least they didn't serve it on compartmentalised TV dinner/prison food trays. Somehow, they made lukewarm, mediocre food from good ingredients. Nachos were so salty we couldn't eat them. Cheese sauce was meh. Guacamole was meh. The Coca Cola (from a can) was the best part of the meal. I can literally do better at home myself and save the money. We won't be in a rush to go there again.

Never been to tortilla and will definitely avoid from now on. The website looked good, reviews were mostly positive but for the price I shouldn't of bothered. Lots of choices yes, the tacos were hard to eat could of used a box with taco holders in. The nachos were disgusting salty cold and the guacamole was bland £30 wasted will have to choose more carefully next time

I did not receive the order I purchased

i thought the food was never arriving and placed the corresponding complaint. order a burger from another place. the tortilla order was delivered and the driver was rude. I took the order and disposed the burrito because it was cold soggy and smelled horrible.

I have ordered from tortilla a few times and the past 3 times I have ordered from the things have been missing from my order all of those times their nacho cheese sauce being one of them. Good food but unreliable to order from.

Amazing food at this place! Had the delight of being served by Leah, she went above and beyond with my gluten allergy. She got all fresh food and clean utensils and was very knowledgeable on allergens and food in general. Her service was perfect, she was so polite and humorous. The choice here for gluten free is AMAZING!! You can basically have everything. Only negative I can state is they were extremely busy and all staff were working very hard, they seemed understaffed and stressed as they were non stop serving.

Servers (mine was leah) manage to combine being both incredibly friendly and efficient. Portion size is fantastic while tasting fresh so best of both worlds. Fast and fresh food with good sauce options and the vegan option tastes fantastic to the point I order either beef or vegan.

Dslivery time was changed few times, it took over one and a half hour altogether.

It was for a business meeting lunch so complete disaster.

I have never felt physically sick from eating food until I tried the nachos from this place. I didn't think it was possible to ruin nachos, but they managed to do it! The dish was overwhelmingly salty. I paid about £8 or £9 and, being very hungry, ate about two-thirds of it. Initially, I noticed the guacamole was overly salty, but I soon realised the tortilla chips themselves were excessively salted, making the entire dish unbearable. After eating, I felt extremely ill. Despite drinking water and trying to rest, I had to cut my shopping day short. Even four hours later, I'm still feeling unwell. I love Mexican food, but I'll never eat here again!

Great burritos with good value for money. About £9 for a large burrito but different fillings can cost more. Would recommend the beef brisket though!

A better Chipotle. The burrito with barbacoa beef was so juicy and filling, excellent customer service the staff are super kind - especially Keiran who was serving me; not to mention the super good value for money with their student discount, overall super underrated.

Got served by one of the lovely staff members, Kieran and he was a very patient and informative in helping me make my own burrito as a first time comer to tortilla. Made the creation process much more enjoyable as some who’s indecisive and there was no major waiting time as he was very skilled at wrapping the burrito like a champ. The food was so lovely and I will totally go there again as my go to place in west quay. it’s a must visit!!

The food was lovely. My only criticism is that the fillings weren't displayed anywhere for customers to decide what they wanted before its their turn to order. They could show a list of them or place visible labels on each tub. I could hear what the member of staff was saying as they explained which tub had what (noisy environment) I highly recommend it, and portion sizes are fantastic.

Was the first time ordering. The main burrito was ok but I ordered a meal and the side dish didn’t have the sauce ordered, so the nachos solo couldn’t be eaten as these have no taste at all. Also I had to pay extra for avocado which I found out of place as the dish is not cheap and for Mexican food avocado is a basic. Was a shame, I was really excited about Mexican food.
