Had a walk around Charlecote Park and then lunch in this restaurant. Good choice of menu with very friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended.

Pre-booked a 1:30 lunch for two couples, no problem. Arrived to find the restaurant busy but all virus measures in place and working, also good. There seemed to be an issue with our booking and eventually we were asked if we would mind eating “downstairs”. We looked, seemed not to be an issue although none of the tables were laid up. We sat and waited and waited. Eventually our server, Vali, rushed up to take our drinks order. Away he went then on returning we found he was one of only four staff receiving and seating guests, taking orders, delivering food and clearing away. This is a large place so no wonder everything took so long. Anyway Vali did a sterling job under the circumstances. Next ordering food - although by now it was well after 2pm, we discovered there were no lamb shanks, then no steak, then no pies which considering service ran until 9pm would seem to have been more than a slight problem! We settled on ham egg and chips and some fish. The food was fine, although my ham was more like continental ham, wafer thin, it was simply not what we would have ordered had all the dishes been available. The prices are reasonable in this hotel restaurant but would we return? Probably not I think I would rather find a local traditional pub lunch.

Very disappointed with the meal we would have been better off going to Iceland’s store! The meal was both expensive and just warm. We will not recommend this place.

Was not expecting much, and we didn’t get much, last ones in at 3pm, not much left to eat and what was left was not brilliant. No atmosphere, staff not very helpful or pleasant. Will not visit again.

We visited this establishment on the 29th July 2018 and having read the recent reviews felt I had to redress the balance a little. We were three adults and one child and all had the carvery, the choice was gammon beef or turkey. There was a good choice of vegetables, it was nicely presented. Carveries are never as nice as home cooking but this one was not bad.. I would certainly recommend it to friends. and the price is reasonable.

Dined here for Breakfast and dinner in July 2018 and found it to be very good with a wide selection and good quality. Wine was a bit pricey but isnt it always the case in a hotel?

My partner & I called in at The Charlecote Pheasant in the hope of getting a Sunday lunch. The young woman at the ‘meet & greet’ station kept her back towards us for several minutes - she seemed to be entering something on the terminal. I eventually approached her to ask if there was a table free - the place was half-empty - she didn’t even make eye contact when she said I would have to wait a few minutes as she was rather busy. We took our custom elsewhere.

There is so much potential for this to be a much better experience than we were subjected to last night. Our Christmas team meal was, sadly, catering at its worst. There was precious little evidence of cooking or even of a chef. Starters were poor - my flavourless pate in two small cubes on a plate of tired salad with cold toast. Having lowered my expectations of my main course choice by this stage I soon discovered that I had not gone low enough. My two slices of roast beef had been roasted some time ago and reheated. They were as dull as I have ever come across, cardboard textured, flavourless - beyond any hope of redemption. There was not a pepper mill in sight with which I might have been able to disguise the beef’s awfulness. Why do British restaurants still consider it acceptable to only provide pepper dust from a tatty glass shaker? Deserts did not improve my mood and cold mince pies simply confirmed all that had gone before. Do not cross the threshold of this place in search of culinary satisfaction for you will not find it.

The restaurant was nicely laid out with plenty of space between tables, but sub-divided to make it feel more intimate. There is a daytime menu up to 6pm and a la carte after, with plenty of choice and prices were fair for the area. It has a good bar area for pre or post-dinner drinks and the service in both bar and restaurant was good. We found the staff well-trained and polite. The food was nicely-cooked and well-presented.

Busy hotel restaurant, Food was average, but some were excellent. Starters and puddings were excellent. A la Carte menu was available, with a discount for those on a package but expensive. Wine expensive. Breakfast was great for full English, but no mushrooms or black pudding,

Nice restaurant, nicely decorated. The food was ok but not impressed by the attitude of the staff, when the wrong food was presented to us. It was taken back to the kitchen and returned by another waiter to ask what the problem was. When told it was not what was ordered, he said he had taken the order and it was right! We would not have sent it back if it had been right. Spoilt our visit. Will not return in a hurry.

the restaurant was decorated nicely with comfortable furniture, meals were mostly above average. The service, whilst friendly and helpful, you felt the staff could do with training in the finer art of dining, e.g. we had only just arrived at the table with 4 friends and the bar man arrived asking if we wanted to order drinks, we had been busy chatting so instead of him asking if we were ready to order he stood until we made our minds up until I suggested he give us a minute to choose, one of the waiters said all of the right things but sounded like he was reading off a pre prepared script he didn't connect with the guests, another was very clumsy with serving but his saving grace was a beautiful smile.

As I wrote in my review of the hotel, I would not recommend the restaurant. The food was not as good as the menu promised. I ordered the prawn tempura followed by the Grilled Sea Bass. The tempura was more like katsu, crunchy, and the Sea Bass was either steamed or baked. The following day we spent in Warwick and returned too late to late for the bar meals. The service was erratic and again the food was adequate and certainly did not justify the price charged. I think part of the problem was the number of package deal diners was overwhelming the kitchen.

The food in here is simply gorgeous, and well presented and prepared. The staff here are very attentive and look after you all the time. Although it is owned by Shearings it is totally different to other establishments owned by this Company, in fact you would be surprised as we were.

My wife and I had arranged to meet with friends that live locally and they suggested the Charlcote Pheasant. We had an enjoyable meal, the roasted duck was especially good and cooked how I like it, all of us enjoyed our meal and will definitely go there again if we are in the area. The service was friendly and courteous even though the restaurant was quite busy.

Excellent in every way we were a group of friends all with dogs it’s a very dog friendly hotel. Mazine was the duty manager that weekend he was brilliant always there and happy to go that extra mile for the group. Fabulous food, clean spacious rooms and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend the hotel it’s in a great position friendly great food. I can’t understand why anyone could write a bad review if you want 5 star go to the Hilton or the Savoy
