Gareth and the team couldn’t do enough for us when we visited Carrybridge for the first time as a party of 18 (including 4 kids under 4) for our daughter’s christening. They gave us our own private room (just off the main restaurant) so the kids could run around freely which was a nice surprise when we got there. The food was exemplary. Everyone was raving afterwards about how good the food was. Something on the menu to suit everyone’s taste. The staff were so attentive and service quick and smooth. We never felt rushed. As we were about to leave after a lovely meal, a couple of the kids started crying and Gareth appeared out of nowhere with lollipops for the whole lot of them which was such a kind and unexpected gesture that was so appreciated at the time. We would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back to celebrate future family events.

Forgot about our starters, mixed up the order brought some of the mains and the fourth dish took a further 40 mins to arrive, food was cold, got no apology, chips were cold and withered up, lettuce on plate withered up, wine list small and still missing wines of it, restaurant staff not friendly, I would understand if they were busy! We travelled by boat and won't be back, overpriced for bar food.

Not what you would expect from a " hotel" it's by no means any type of hotel I have ever seen before , all old style tables and chairs , I would class it more a old type pub , alot of people sitting outside which I thought was due to it being a nice evening but as we ordered our drinks the smell of cooking though out the whole place was so overwhelming I had to ask my hubby can we just leave the drink and go , it was making me ill from the smell of cooking . We both left our glasses half full and headed on , I wouldn't recommend this place as a place to enjoy a evening out , as you can see there is no pictures or anything on the search for it , pretty much says it all .

We visited the other day for lunch and sat outside with our 2 dogs. The staff were very attentive to us and our dogs... The 2 girls serving couldn't have done enough to make us feel welcome. I have never in all my life heard such rudeness towards an elderly lady as was witnessed at Carrybridge Hotel on Sunday 27/06/2021. The Chef cursed at her while being really offensive - it was an appalling sight and I cannot imagine how it was for the lady concerned. Any establishment hoping to survive lockdown really needs to vet their staff. We have all experienced eccentric chefs but Jerome was an ignoramus. I wonder if there are others out there who have had similar experiences.

I had battered fish and chips where the batter was mouth watering and my wife had the scampi which she couldn’t fault. I have never had such poor service. We had sent another member of our party to ask for menus and were told you haven’t booked so can’t order. Never mind the fact that we had sat and had 2 tables for about 3 hours!!! TERRIBLE

Just back from an overnight stay at the Carrybridge Hotel. Arrived just before 3 o’clock and decided to have a drink and something to eat before we booked in as it was still early . Staff were friendly and we sat outside as weather was beautiful. Our food arrived promptly and it was lovely . Got checked in and girl showed us to our room . Very disappointed as room was small and could hardly swing a cat in it . Toilet was almost beside bed apart from a door and when you sat on the toilet you actually looked into the shower which was a cubicle. Sink was at end of bed . Only for the bed being so comfortable I would have ended upset . At about just after 6 o’clock we decided to go into lounge/restaurant out of the heat and to ease our backsides from sitting on wooden bench . We were told we could sit inside unless we were eating as the place was booked up with many locals having booked a table for food . When we arrived we were not asked did if we were having food in the restaurant nor that if we needed to book. We were told that we would have to order food there and then or we couldn’t stay just for a drink alone . We ordered food as I didn’t want to sit outside again . The feeling I got was you either eat now or leave . Having paid £104 for one night I felt like I had no right to be sitting inside as a guest as local people had booked tables . We ended up sitting outside after our food as our room was like a sauna. I wouldn’t recommend this place nor will I be returning to it .

Stayed for a couple of nights with family. The room had rubbish from previous customer, tv remote wasnt working, light bulb missing, not enough toilet roll provided and not even replaced on second day house cleaning, hairs in the sink, no drinkable water in room. A 4 star hotel in Belfast would have been cheaper than here and standards would have been 10 times better. The restaurant experience could have been better. Recieved dirty cutlery, curry was bland so asked for salt and pepper and was given 2 empty and dirty mills, also stated to be served with naan and was served pita bread. Staff seemed disinterested coupled with what seemed to be thier friends arriving which they seemed more interested in than asking if we would like an extra drink or if wecwould like desert which took 20 mins after meal was finished. Paid a third more than a typical meal of this size anywhere else.Last day, breakfast cooked by the cleaner who set down the hoover to start, checked out by cleaner as no staff about at 10am, there was no "how was your stay" or thanks. Just bye. Good location but value for money not worth it. Really need updating and attention to detail by managment on processes and standards.

Just back from our overnight stay here. We walked the 'stairway to heaven' boardwalk and decided to stay overnight here. It's set on the riverbank beside the marina, with a lovely garden filled with picnic benches. The food was delicious, we had pizza (domino standard) which can be taken away, and chicken burger with chips. For breakfast (included in the price) they went above and beyond to cater for my vegetarian diet, they asked what I would like and made it for me (pancakes with blueberries, maple syrup, fresh cream and a side of assorted fresh fruit). The rooms are basic, but clean and the beds are very comfy.Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to climb the mountain and not drive the long way home!

Not the loveliest of places, this hotel is on the riverbank beside the rather elegant Carry Bridge. Most customers are boaters or locals. If you think it's shabby now, you should have seen it before a recent facelift !There is energetic new management, and they serve good value food at their outside tables. I tried the burger, and found it pretty good - juicy and rich. Service was a little slow. So, If all you want is simple pub grub on a nice day this place does it well.

Good variety on the carvary lunch choice but the chef must have been very scarce of the main coarse roasts. I have never ever seen meats carved in so wafer thin slices. As a couple we had two different meats and both were carved in minute portions. We go out most Sundays for lunch but I'm afraid we will not be back here.

Location has been taken under new Management in the recent past and has a simple yet very satisfying Menu on offer at Lunchtime. Location had been very busy with diners from visiting Fishermen and passing Boat trade and is a very popular spot. Wife ordered a beautiful meal of Steak pieces, Ciabatta Bread, Mushrooms, pepper sauce and a side of Chips. I ordered a beautifully presented Burger topped with Bacon Cheese , Crispy Onion and a side of Chips all around a lovely Brioche Bun with mayonnaise and Relish. Food was superb and beautifully presented on hot plates. Food could not be faulted.Although this location is slightly off the beaten track, it is a great stop off location for all visitors especially those connected to the Boating and Fishing pass Times. Also provides accommodation and is a unique Wedding venue to consider.Really enjoyed our visit to CarryBridge.

The Carrybridge is a budget hotel set on the edge of a river and marina. It is so scenic and pretty. Although it seems like a sleepy little place, it is very busy with lots of cruisers coming in to the marina.I think the reason it attracts a crowd is the food, music and the craic. The staff are absolutely lovely. We had a barbe and then breakfast which was top notch. It is budget but spotlessly clean. They even let us camp outside but I don't know if this is a normal occurrence or if it was just because of the group we were with. The best thing is that it's dog friendly. Back home that's the way the carry feels. We've spent several weekends recently in some posh pretentious and expensive hotels, but none come close to the homely feel of the Carrybridge. Sure there is no swimming pool ( except the lake) and no all singing gym, but more peace and quiet than you could want. No better place to relax and let the troubles of life drift away. This is certainly helped along with one or two of Joes super Irish coffees. The food as usual was top notch, the hotel clean and comfortable . Yes it's old , wooden, and a throw back from a long gone era , but there is no better place to stay. Don't expect the soulless four star mega hotel, expect just what it is frendly, clean, good food and comfortable.

I think I can officially say that I have now either eaten or at least tasted almost everything on the menu and as yet cannot find fault (not that I want to) with anything, nor has anyone in my company The food is always well cooked, well presented and very reasonably priced, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner and trust me I have had them all!!!!!!!. My most recent was the superb Sunday carvery. I had two friends with me and one was so impressed that she took a meal home to Belfast for her husband who I have it on good authority almost licked the pattern off the plate!!!! I think that say it all!!!!! The bar has a very welcoming relaxed atmosphere and everyone at The Carrybridge Hotel, whether it be staff or other customers is very friendly. In my experience the staff go out out of their way to be helpful and that is very much appreciated and one of the many reasons I keep going back. I don't like recommending restaurants as everyone has different tastes and expectations but I would not hesitate to recommend The Carrybridge Hotel. Having arrived rather late for lunch, the roast beef was all gone, but we decided on turkey & ham, and roast lamb for my husband and myself respectively. We started with the deep-fried brie wedges, which were served hot and crispy, with a side salad and cumberland sauce - delicious! The roasts were superb, carved by the chef, and served with all the trimmings. Considering we were eating towards the end of service, it was a delight to find that the meats were not overcooked or dried out. 2 courses for £12.95 per person was great value for money. We will definitely return, maybe to try the desserts instead of the starters next time.

When we stayed recently it was -6 outside, the bar area was cosy with a wood burning stove and the bedroom was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent as it snowed outside. The Ritz it isn't but neither are the prices. If you're there on a Sunday, the carvery is a treat not to be missed!Beautiful riverside location and convenient to many leading Fermanagh tourist sites. It gets even better when the boating season starts.

We would visit here on a regular basis and have frequented the bar/night life & accommodation for about the last 5 or 6 years. I wouldn't say the accommodation is 5 star but it is such a homely place. The staff are very friendly and the surroundings great. The Sunday Carvery is beyond belief - you wont come out hungry and the price.....well, I personally find it hard to beat. We would normally bring at least 1 of the 3 kids with the youngest being 3 (the usual attendee) and they are very welcoming even for our lively and somewhat restless little man. They normally have a great selection of meats and I have to admit I do favour their Lamb...I cant criticise the food in any way shape or form and the pints - yeah they arent so bad either but having learnt a lesson, dont be taking any more than 1 with the dinner as you just wont be able to finish the mountain of great food they dish out.Well worth a visit if you live in the area but more worth the visit if you dont - as a city slicker, you really come to appreciate the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere

When I visited here for a meal a while ago the place looked awful. It was badly in need of a refurb and a good cleaning. The food was not all that bad to be honest, but the surroundings let it down.

Food good, service good and staff have a homely manner about them, pity about the rooms! Loved watching the boats go by.

We made an impromptue stop at the Carrybridge Hotel while boating on Lough Erne. While the building has seen better days, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and efficient, the menu is varied and offers something for everyone. If you like good, homestyle cooking, then Carrybridge is worth a visit. I will certainly be back!

We were in Fermanagh for a surprise birthday party so took some time to revisit some areas that we had not been in for many years and the Carreybridge was our choice for a light lunch stop. What a location it brought back many fond memories. There were very few customers with it being a Thursday so we had our choice of the outside tables overlooking the waterway.Service was quick and added to by very friendly and welcoming staff always a big plus in Fermanagh. The light bites of chicken goujons and prawn cocktail washed down with an excellent pint of Guinness and a well chilled Sauvignon was just the ticket.A really warm feel good factor from the staff reminded us that our return was long overdue.

We went to Carrybridge for lunch on Sunday with a bit of trepidation due to the mixed reviews. We needn't have worried! The food was excellent, good choice of meat and very tender. The roasties and Yorkshires passed our children's taste testing and the veg were well cooked and a good variety. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, asking on several occasions if everything was ok. Would definitely recommend it.

Boating on Erne at weekend and stopped at carry bridge for break and to watch end of golf. Had no plans to eat, just a few beers but while watching last few holes a young couple beside got the sizzlers and they smelt great to the point where I went to boat to delay my wifes dinner prep. Have to admit food did not live up to expectations but it was partially my fault as when food arrived it wasn't sizzling and beef obviously burnt, should have sent it back. What annoyed me was that a large group in the sun room area subsequently got the sizzlers and they looked, smelt and sounded like the meal I was craving

I have ate here on a number of occasions, never to be dissapointed! I brought my dad here for Sunday Lunch, the carvery was lovely! could not be faulted in the slightest, the service was prompt, and not over the top (which I hate). Also dined here mid-week, the food was lovely once again! Defo a recommendation. The interior is may lacking, but the place is clean!

I was brought here by my in-laws for sunday dinner and I thought the food was fabulous and the carvery was immense! The 'big guy' serving knew by looking at me that I love my food lol and so he filled my plate and wasn't in the slightest bit hesitant about giving me an extra roastie or 2 ! I'll certainly recommend it and be back soon !

A few weeks ago I had taken my family to this hotel for an evening meal...we had an enjoyable time and therefore returned on Saturday of last week.....the difference in the price was noticable, there was no staff...ie I had to get our own menu from inside where the servers are, place the order at the bar where the bar man said " I suppose I will have to take your order myself"....the most outragous part of the bill was the price of the pepper sauce for our steaks...on top of the price for the steak we where then charged £4.95 for this sauce...scandalous.....also if you order the buffalo wings and you want to have blue cheese dipping sauce rather than mayo you also have to pay £4 or so extra....def wont be back!!!

It looks like it's falling apart, a collection of glorified portacabins, with modern floating jetties for visitors and ample car parking., but a landmark in Co Fermanagh. It has a free slipway opposite and this makes it popular with water skiers. Food is served in large quantities and home cooking rather than gourmet, but tasty and well presented. Prices are modest and it heaves with boaters and fishermen in season.Accomodation is en-suite and in an adjacent annex. Basic but spotlessly clean and inexpensive.

We first visited this restaurant two years ago and decided to stop off whilst boating on Lough Erne earlier this month. It seems to have become quite seedy over the two years. The dining area was almost empty, the chairs were rickety and the whole place needs at least a lick of paint. The waitresses were eastern European and obviously inexperienced. We started off with nachos. I have never seen such a small portion - a few tortilla chips, a spoonful of salsa and a sprinkling of grated cheese - and it hadn't even been melted! We had chicken fajitas for mains and they were nothing like the ones we'd had two years earlier. The skillets were so hot that the whole meal was overpowered by the smell of burning wood. We had very low expectations for desserts but they were amazingly good and far above the quality of everything else we ate.

Second time here having stayed in the hotel previously.Hotel fixtures and fittings may be basic and past their sell by date, but same cannot be said about the staff and the food. On both occasions the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful, cannot recommend them and the food highly enough. Will go back for another feed next time in area.

Thought I would give it a try even though I hadn't heard any great reports about it but my Sunday Lunch from the Carvery was very good - very tasty and plenty of it! Would definitely go back again for Sunday Lunch if I was in the area.

Had Sunday Carvery at Carrybridge today, it was superb and I would rate the quality of the food higher than many of the top hotels in Fermanagh.Starter ordered from menu and served at table. then carvery for main course. Great succulent roasts, beef, ham, turkey, lamb, stuffing, yorkshires, boiled and roast potatoes, a selection of tasty veg all piping hot and great friendly service. It's 11.00 pm now and I havent eaten a thing since despite a long walk afterwards! £10.95 for two courses. Other mains available as an option, e.g. Salmon. Sweets available but I couldn't have looked at one!We often eat there in the evening when in Fermanagh, great variety on the normal menu, good honest food at a fair price.

We were seated at 3.20 PM and gave our order almost immediately which was for one sandwich and 2 cups of soup. The waitress took our order and 2more tables at the same time. Both of the other tables were served their lunch and we were still waiting. This was 3.50pm . We then observed 3more tables being occupied and served and we were still waiting. My husband went to the counter to check how much longer we had to wait for our order of 1 sandwich and 2 cups of soup. He waited for almost 5 minutes before speaking with a counter assistant who said it would be a few minutes. At this time my husband noticed our 2 cups of soup sitting on the counter and going cold. At this point I told my husband we would have to leave as we had to meet up with family. The assistant offered no apology or anything. So our experience was not good
