Too difficult to reach there .Google map was directing wrong way and could not reach the market.not a pleasant experience.

That was great, you can buy fresh vegs and fruits and the prices are cheaper than any other where else.

This market is bad there isn't any interesting stalls here and It's so far from bus station

Absolutely disgusting ‘ fresh food market’, shocked this is allowed, the meat not refrigerated and hoards of people surrounding the stalls like animals, unsanitary and the worst thing I have ever seen absolutely disgusting.

Really good market if you want fresh fish, fruit and veg, I would highly recommend MPJ fish shop for fresh fish at really top prices

Good choice of fishmongers, butchers and halal butchers. Very helpful and friendly stall holders.

Always enjoy a trip to Bolton Market the game and fish stalls have got a hold on me I can't resist it . The new food hall is well worth a visit with a choice of cuisines. The clothing stalls are plenty full with all styles of clothing .

Poor compared to what it used to be

Marvellous range of vegetables, fruit (see the bitter melon photo), meat, fish, and spices. Rice in bulk. All the fresh produce looks so much better than you'd get in a supermarket. I usually buy garlic from a supermarket but at only 15p more for the larger bulb you can see why I won't be doing so in future. I've been visiting more often, and I think I might decide to do so even more regularly. I reckon a trip every week for fresh fruit and vegetables would pay for itself.

It is my favourite market. Very well stocked with plenty variety of goods. Fish, meat halal meat, vegetables, fruits, coffee shops, and a wide range of non food products. Good quality at fairly good prices. I would have given it 5 stars, but parking arrangements need to improve. The one-way system is slow and you could waste over 10 minutes just waiting to get to a parking spot which you can see is free but you can't get to it.

Proper old school market. Excellent for seafood and meat

Great range of stalls.Very helpful staff. Only downside is the parking fare. They now have new tickets machines which allow card payment. Just be careful with the parking app online as it charges the same amount but the ticket is only for 45 minutes and not a full hour unlike a physical payment at the machine.

Please be aware the parking conditions regarding blue badge parking has changed. You are now required to display your your badge and pay in full. Be warned if you don't you will be charged £60. Please note the signage is not very good and you have to search to find it.

Difficult to park! Fruits are not cheap but they have good selection of vegetables and fruits. Meat stalls and seafood shops are good but the place is not tidy. However the dry market has nice food courts with nice food stalls. Highly recommend the Japanese food stalls Katsu Katsu.

The meats outside without refrigerators are quite dirty.

A lot of fresh fruits and veg to choose from. The meat sellers are at the limit with hygiene ,but the fishmongers keep the stock in open air without ice like a century ago. The quality of the fish it is under standard, unedible, and expensive.

All things are good.. A bit smell of meat which is unbearable for me.

Be careful if parking. We drove round car park twice no parking spaces. And got a NCP parking fine.

Fantastic. Focusing on the fish, meat and veggies, this is what a market should be like. Live shellfish, hung game birds, boxes of scotch bonnets, offal, massive racks of ribs... Selection of independent cafes and food stalls with lots of variety (with normal people, a complete lack of bearded hipsters serving sourdough pizza), Altrincham take note! Toilets free and reasonably clean. Parking is run by NCP and £1.80 for an hour; busy on a Saturday morning, get there early and use the NCP app to avoid the queue for the parking payment machines.

One could buy intercontinental foods from the market.

There are fresh fruit, seafood and meat stalls, and the newly opened food court has delicious food.

Nice place to shop for fish, meat, groceries and vegetables. Some are reasonably priced and some aren't. Do a round to see the prices first and then shop to avoid disappointment that you could've bought things you bought from other shops cheaper. Car parking is a mess during the weekends (including Fridays). £1.8 for parking is okay but not many people parks their car in a good way. Can expect long queues over the weekend.

Not the great market of old where coach loads of people from all over used to come.

Agricultural market, you can find a wide range of fruits and vegetables. Here you can also find seafood and fresh fish at a very good price. Also here you can buy oriental products, clothes, household appliances.

The variety of goods is sufficient and the price is reasonable. If I want to buy the goods, the quality is good!

Bolton market is a great place to shop. Best fish and chips in bolton pillings-fish-and-chips.com Good food court , Now people are coming from all over the world 🌎 at pillings. we have had a gentleman from Florida who brought his fiance into see us. This man is originally from Bolton in his eighty,s and still loves Greenhalghs steak puddings.

Authentic Malaysia Laksa available in the market I give full marks for this Laksa noodles.

Look, Bolton had a beautiful example of Victorian wrought Iron architecture in its roof and set out in stalls and old style market economy.... It really did not need to be bastardised into the mall type modern copy we have been left with today. No one is interested in shopping here and we haven't got the draw left now to pull decent stylish marketeers .. instead we have empty stalls and spaces to let , and it's the same all over town. Ruined by idiots .. complete lack of character and what we have has been trivialised into unremarkable uninteresting and unvisited shops.

Very busy market where you can get a variety of things. I got a very lovely thick blanket perfect for winter. I would also recommend for food items and protein shopping 👌

It's my home town and I'm sorry to say this but every time I go back home I am ashamed of the place. It is dirty and grimy and no-one seems to have any pride in their surroundings
