Carro Lounge in Torfaen

It was a busy Saturday morning and they were able to squeeze us in which was good. No issues with the setting or service. The app to order was broken so there was a long queue to order at the bar. The poor rating is for the food as it was very below par. Cheap ingredients and did not taste fresh. Would visit again for a drink maybe if in the area but not food.

It was my first visit to Carro Lounge and I was welcomed by the general manager which helped show us to our table and explained how we could order - through app or at bar and asked if any of the party had allergies or intolerancs. The place has friendly staff that was very helpful. The atmosphere was great. Suitable for families, my children loved that they could play board games that was available whilst they was waiting for their meals. Food and drinks was great. Very tasty meals. I highly recommend Carro Lounge, nicest place to eat out or have some drinks in Cwmbran.

Sab, the manager kindly reserved a table for my husband and myself today at 1pm, for our wedding anniversary!….he greeted us with a fab glass of Prosecco each, on the house and himself and his staff gave us fantastic service and look forward to our next visit. The food we chose was fantastic…… we highly recommend this bar/restaurant and look forward to our next visit!

Decided to try the carro lounge as love the drago in Newport. A great venue and even though they were very busy found us a table in no time. You’ve even converted a very fussy four year old. All staff were very polite and helpful. Can’t wait for them to come to Chepstow.

It's the return of my favourite, guaranteed to make you feel the Christmas Spirit.... the Christmas pie. Soft pastry full of wonderful creamy Turkey and Bacon sat on the ultimate mashed potatoes with all my favourite veggies finished of with a jug of gravy to cover as and where you choose .. you think I may just have enjoyed it .. oh yes I did believe me, go try.. You have the warmest of welcome and nothing is too trouble .. stop, breathe, eat and chill

Have eaten here three times this month and if I could afford it would eat here everyday! The best thing so far on the menu is bang bang cauliflower and the Malaysian rice and fried egg dish I had today! All cheerful staff! Love the diversity! Will be back this week for lunch with friends!

My request at the till was simple: 3 paninis with sweet potatoe fries for take away… First they brought me the paninis on the plate and then had to box them as it didn’t get tagged as a takeout, when I was about to leave I realised that none of the boxes had any fries … I asked the waiter and she checked and said it would still take 10 minutes - I couldn’t wait and just left… 40£ for 3 paninis sounds outrageous and not worth the 30 minutes wait…

Two friends and I visited today and the service and good was absolutely shocking. We started by sitting at a high table with stools which wasn’t great as we had a newborn with us. However it was busy so we understood it was the only issue. After ordering drinks, a table became free and we asked if we could move. The waiter allowed us to move but after 20 minutes the previous family came back to the table and told us they had ordered food but left for a little while as they had been waiting over an hour to get their food and had to go and grab something from the shop in the mean time. We then moved back to the original high table. It took over half an hour for our drinks to arrive and the attitude of the staff was appalling. We then asked a waiter how long our food would be as we had waited over an hour and the response was it will be 5 minutes. One of the meals then arrive 20 minutes later, it was stone cold and dry. (It was a panini- unsure how it takes almost an hour and a half for a panini to be made) the side order of fries arrived 15 minutes later whilst one person in our group was still waiting for their food. Once all of the food finally arrived it was all cold and frankly disgusting. I’m not usually one to give a negative review as I like to support businesses, however the service we received today was absolutely disgusting. Would recommend you avoid this place at all costs.

Birthday occasion with family after a lovely day in Cwmbran. Extensive drinks range, cocktails included and really good food. Gunner and his crew are top notch, had a really memorable evening at Carro Lounge. Oh and complimentary birthday cake too - what's not to like.

As soon as we walked in a staff member a gentleman from lativia welcomed us gave us a choice of area ee would like to be then took us to our seats . Not knowing exactly what I wanted to drink he brought the cocktail list and described a few individual drinks and what they were made up with.. he was attentive. Friendly and professional and made us feel comfortable On leaving he said goodbye We will definitely return!

We come here all the time, it's such a lovely place for drinks and food. We were dog sitting last week, and brought him here as we knew they were dog friendly. Meg who works on the bar was in love with him, brought him water and came and chatted to us after her shift. The staff are all lovely, we'd popped in earlier that day and had great service from Chelsea and Dylan, as usual. Several staff have recommended the new Goan curries, which we will be bringing Mum to try (we meet here every Sunday, and there's a disabled loo for her). There's new management, and Gunner, is adorable. We love the whole team, including several members of staff, who have moved away. Fantastic to have a bar with a city vibe in little Cwmbranistan.

Brilliant food and service! The Miami Brunch is so tasty and my favourite dish on the menu. The coffee was great too. As it was my birthday I received a complementary glass of Prosecco, which was a lovely gesture. Sab was an extremely friendly and polite member of staff. Great place to celebrate my birthday!

Great place! I have Coeliac disease and it’s very hard to find somewhere I feel comfortable eating now. There is. A full gluten free menu here, a separate food prep area and the food is brought out separately. Great service, reasonable prices and delicious food

My wife had the noodles salad I had Burger and chips my wife said it didn't taste good my burger and chips was very greasy but the tea and coffee were lovely

A spacious restaurant/bar with comfortable seating and cosy corners. I had a burger which arrived promptly and was perfectly cooked and presented with fries and coleslaw. The lady behind the bar was struggling to keep up with orders for food as well as preparing drinks....

My expectations were exceeded in terms of the food. Both my Shakshuka and my wife's Greek chicken dish were really tasty. Good service all around and good to see the venue busy. I've already recommended this venue to friends and family.

Absolute joke! Having been to multiple lounges and cosy clubs this was beyond awful. Food served was cold and over salty. Service staff clearly not trained. Bar staff sticking fingers in drinks and clearly again having no idea what they are doing. Would recommend avoiding!!

Really enjoyed my experience at Carro lounge, Cwmbran. Myself and my family ordered a breakfast it was perfect and I was informed that the vegan breakfast was delicious. Very happy to have a lounge in Cwmbran will definitely return.
