Little jewel of a cafe on Doncaster indoor market. I had a lovely ham salad sandwich, my husband had bacon and egg on s breadcake and my mother in law had bacon and tomatoes on a breadcake. We all had a lovely cup of tea with our lunch. It was very good value, the service was very good and the staff very friendly. Will be going back again soon.

Went to market and popped in here for breakfast. Good honest fry up for a very reasonable price. It seemed popular with the locals so knew it would be good. 👍🏼👍🏼

I just came here for a coffee to check the place out. A mug of coffee was 1 pound. Not bad at all. I will have to come back again to try their breakfast. The place was full of locals and I was lucky to get a seat. There's free WiFi, just look for the councils free wifi

Been here a few times now for a drink and snack. Tried the full English this morning and wasn't disappointed. Not the biggest breakfast but cooked well and washed down with a nice strong cup of tea. Friendly staff always cleaning tables. Very good prices e.g. mug of tea 70p. Full English £3.60. Highly recommended.

Stood waiting three members of staff on, only one serving, coffees. Gave up went elsewhere. Doncaster market not what it used to be, cafes closing, could this be one of the reasons ?

Very basic. Okay for a quick snack but very cheap and basic. Tight for space and seemed to have run out of quite a few things.

This gem in Doncaster Market Hall is not to be missed ! Always a warm friendly welcome from Carol and team. Spotlessly clean, with a wide-ranging menu and generous, well-presented portions totally at variance with very low prices, so just unbeatable value. Such a pleasant atmosphere, as a very popular spot where locals drop in to socialise, so very highly recommended and not to be missed. Many thanks and well done Carol !

After staying in a local hotel chain, four of us went for breakfast at carol's cafe in the market place and had 4 great breakfasts for the price of 1 1/2 in the hotel! Good fresh homley food with the hustle and bustle of a fabulous market around you. Will definitely return for more breakfast or any meal of the day.

When we are in Doncaster's excellent food market we always call in Carols for a breakfast. Always good quality and "homely" cooking. It reminds me of my Mum's breakfasts. Especially dipping a slice of bread and butter in the fried egg. Great value and really traditional. Like what a market cafe should be

I've been coming here for about twelve years now every morning before work to the point they know my order off by heart I hve to say this is the only cafe I will go to on the market place all the staff are great and very friendly the food is great I always have a bacon tomato and mushroom sandwich which I love but do have a full English if I have time and everything is always perfect and good quality unlike some places which only use the cheapest stuff I've been coming here for years and will carry on coming here for more years to come xx

I think they are in my top five of good fish and chips, and are good value for money. The fish tastes really fresh, and the chips are nice and crispI did notice one thing that I didn't like on my last visit- when the tables were cleared, the jugs of left over milk were topped up and given to new customersThis isn't very hygienic, ' the tables are small, and the milk has been coughed and sneezed over, plus droplets of saliva may have gone in it while speaking over it.Also people may have not washed their hands after using the toilet, and have been handling the jugI think all the jugs should be emptied and washed up properly after each useI realise they are trying to save money by using less milk, but this practice is not acceptable. If there is a lot of milk left in each jug, then they are putting too much in in the first place, and should put less in.The customer can always ask for a top up.I tried to find an email address, but couldn't, so perhaps they will read this, and do something about it, as it rally puts me off now that I have seen this happening. The only other point I would make is that the chairs aren't moveable , so if you're a bit bigger than average, it could be a bit of a squeeze.

2020 Covid review Opening hours seem stale now. There's hand sanitise on the way in. No wifi. You can message them by Facebook to reserve a table. They have only 4 taps of real ales but no bottle any more. Expensive for Donny, 1.80 a half or 3.60 a pint. Old review Lovely place with 10 taps and loads of bottles. Prices are expensive for Doncaster but there is plenty of choice
