So sad after all these years it's shut down

Had an egg mayo sandwich. Service with no smile and a huff. Spent next day on toilet non stop. Only thing I ate in that time. Definitely won't be going back.

A personal favotuite of mine perfect every time

One of the rare real bakeries in the area providing fresh bread. Unfortunately they didn’t have the thick crust sourdough bread I was craving for, but I walked away with a really nice fresh spongy white bread everybody enjoyed as well as nice sausage rolls and pies for lunch. They’re a little less breakfast-oriented than I was hoping, but what they make is all lovely.

Fantastic food with a friendly atmosphere. A fabulous fuel stop if you are in a hurry, a perfect picnic prepared freshly in minutes, or tantalising treats to keep your team happy. This wonderful bakery has been serving and supporting the local community for decades and long may it continue.

Excellent food! Friendly cheerful staff! Highly reccomend! Zac Berrry left a bad review as he was not allowed entry due to refusing to wear a mask!! Mary Berry, Zacs mum would not be happy with his lack of PPE...

Have been coming here for donkeys years, my Nan used to bring me...now make sandwiches to order and can get hot drinks, so perfect for a lunch stop

Best independent bakery in Folkestone

Great bakery that has been going for years. Just 1 gripe though, their hot food isn't labelled and sometimes you ask for a slice and get something completely different because they all look the same.

Stunning baked products. Been there since 1969 AFAIK, previously under R.H.Carmichael (Mac). Still uses traditional bread baking & artisan processes. Hand formed bread (Loaves cheaper than supermarkets) Staff often close the shop early :( Much the shame for the Baker (Ian Carmichael I think) works his knackers off & sleeps all day to do it. Favourites: Bacon Cheese turnover, Sausage roll, Steak Slice, White Farmhouse & Granary loaf.. Yum!

Phoned to speak to a manager or owner, the call was met with disregard from an employee.. I wanted to make a substantial wholesale catering order to which the unqualified member of staff replied with "I doubt he can do it cos he's really busy, call back tomorrow when he's in"... perfec!! (Sic)
