Nice place for a reasonable glass of wine by the park

Early evening meal not busy, given choice of table for a party of 7. Good choice of food and drinks. Allowed to pay separately each of 7 people. Had pre drinks outside too.

Staff could not be any better, each and every one. Kuldeep and the manager, whose name I did not get, are so kind and accommodating. Our dishes, veganese spaghetti and chicken Milanese, were both good. The pizza looked delicious and we plan to try it during our stay in the hotel. The atmosphere is the only area with need for improvement. A re-design and brightening of the room would greatly enhance the dining experience. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and will be back.

Amazing food. We had pasta and as it was suggested by kuldeep, who was an amazing person. He helped us and his positive attitude made our dinner special and memorable.

Carliccio’s is a good place to visit. We had English breakfast here along with kids. Their pan cakes steals the show and is like a cherry on top. My kids loved it. They slso have fresh fruits served and amazing croissants. There are many delicacies to be tried here thar your kids will love it. Thank You and kudos to the team! And lots of love from India.

Staying at the hotel, the timing is incorrect. They shut at 10. Won’t take an order for In-room dining at 10.31PM, literally a minute late after the front desk informed me that I can place an order before 11PM. Disappointing. Could’ve easily accommodated a basic request. Hospitality at its finest.

Took a birthday party of 20 ten year olds to Carluccios in Swiss cottage Marrriot and they looked after us fantastically . Kuldeep and the team could not have been more attentive and accommodating, and the food was fantastic too for kids and adults alike. Place itself is beautiful with impressive vaulted ceilings - but it was the staff that made it a truly great experience of us . Thank you Kuldeep and team

My review is for the buffet breakfast and lunch, we stayed eight nights here, prepaid for breakfast and made it down three times. The time zone difference caused us to miss a few mornings. The buffet was simple but offered sufficient choices for our family even my little picky eaters. There is unlimited tea and coffee during the breakfast hours, fresh fruits, and made to order omelets. We ordered lunch one day; the fries are hot and delicious. The grill chicken breast sandwich was too large, and I felt back wasting half of it.

First dish Lasagne, dried out and cold, got another one exactly the same, the waiter did his best to resolve but the Manager was notified and could not be bothered to come and see me, a friend sitting on another table was ill immediately after leaving. This is by far the worse food and service, I am sorry to post so negatively but every word is exactly how it happened. Avoid Avoid.

Unfortunately Carluccio's has lost all its vibe and quality over the last few years. I have been served a toast with avocado and poached eggs that made me feeling sick. Starting from the bread, obviously not fresh and incredibly dry. The avocado mix was also made not on the day and it tasted very acid. Fortunately, the next day I had pancakes and were definitely better! I wish Carluccio's restaurants to go back to their previous quality standards as I miss it and would love to keep going there.

Took an oat latte TAKEAWAY in the smallest cup they have. Was charged the princely sum of 5.06 GBP. They even put service charge for a takeaway coffee served at the counter. I think this is the most expensive coffee in London. Mayfair is good value compared to this. Surely made sure I will not ever dine there despite being a local with a young family. What a way to make sure you receive negative PR… genius marketing.

Is it better to eat here if you stay here? Especially when there are so many (much cheaper)? This is a mixed bag unfortunately. PRO: - Attached to the hotel - Reasonable prices - Can charge to room if ordering to get loyalty points (Marriott) - Big portion of decent lasagna - Nice breakfast buffet - Good steak fries (but they are inconsistent in which fries you’ll get) - Good mushroom soup (? But $9 is way too much) - Fast takeaways CON: - Chef argued with me about what a medium rare steak “is”. When I can’t cut into it and you’re charging $65, I expect more courtesy than all the staff “explaining” to me how what is a medium rare steak cooked. - Will charge service charge for takeaway automatically. Since it’s a takeaway I told them to take it off. Uncool. - Avoid pizza, which tastes like cardboard - Fish & Chips seemed to be fried in dirty oil - Steak did not taste like it was aged (as promised) - I didn’t enjoy the Focaccia bread (very dry) SUMMARY: Choose wisely: - Lasagna was huge! Big surprise! Not great but not bad. Good value for the money. - Ham & Mushroom Pizza: Why is there olives and weird mushrooms? - Why is the Fish and Chips fried in dirty oil? - Spaghetti Carbonara too salty - Braised Beef Ragu was just ok but why is there olives ? - Steak is hit or miss Check your bill and your food. They’ve gotten them both wrong for me. Especially a take away, they will slip in the service charge? It may be the only choice if you’re tired or weather is really bad. They do ok takeaways so you’ll still have good temperature on your food. But check it before you leave, we’ve had mistakes.

We really liked the food and the service, which are very important points in a restaurant and for those who are away from home with their family. The prices are a little "high", but it is expensive when you are paying in pounds. We will be back!!!

The food in this restaurant is very good and I saw a lot of people in line when I checked in, so I went downstairs to eat after checking in. A saleswoman greeted us with a warm smile. The pizza she recommended to us was delicious and we loved it. sea bass is also delicious, highly recommend this restaurant, will come back next time～

Horribly dark and gloomy. Cup of tea so weak and watery so sent it back. Ambience was depressing - will never go there again.

I'd booked a table for myself and work colleagues as our Christmas meal out together. Booking was smooth and easy, which was great given it was 24hrs notice for eight people in the middle of December. Good atmosphere inside that wasn't too loud or busy - the restaurant is positioned slightly away from the main foyer to the hotel. Food was good, although I would have preferred a few more options, especially vegetarian. Service was equally fine, although I think we had a new waiter as they seemed confused by a few of our basic questions regarding customer allergies and food ingredients. They also needed to be summoned more than once instead of actively checking up on us. Overall though, I had a good time here and would recommend it.

Decent breakfast, but get there early, they start to kind of ignore you the closer they get to finishing time as they are busy backing everything away!

Buffet breakfast, lots of cold and hot food to choose, no time limit watcher, we were there for over 2 hours, decent coffee. Eggs are cooked per order, can be a long wait.

As the reviews suggest, this branch has always been hit and miss. I dined here yesterday and it was more positive. Service has definitely improved. Very good. All staff were friendly, attentive and nice. They were also really on the ball with allergies. I was asked a few times so at least they take it seriously. Nice menu of pasta, salads, pizza, desserts and more. They also offer breakfast earlier in the day. I had the beef ragu pappardelle which was braised beef slow cooked in red wine, black olives and herbs. This was served with pappardelle pasta. It came out really quick so I am not convinced on how freshly made it was. Tasted nice but not amazing. Some of the cuts of beef were fatty. Hearty pasta dish. I don't believe the calories displayed on the menu were correct. The lemon sorbet served with a Lingue di Gatto biscuit was badly presented and thrown into a plate. Almost as if I was at home! I could have done a better job myself. The sorbet was nice and refreshing in the heat. They give three scoops. Nice restaurant. Very big but tables are nicely spaced so it never feels crowded. Lovely in the evening especially with the dim lighting. Always busy given the location in the hotel. Many non-guests tend to dine here too. Generally good but always very hit and miss!

Somewhat disappointing experience. Unfortunately waiter untrained - does now know any details of the food on the menu so unable to clarify some of the dishes. However he really tried his best and sought advice. Rib. Eye poor quality meat - tough. Greens very basic and over cooked. Tomato and onion salad ok. Chicken just about fine. Tiramisu was lot better than the main courses. Browns would be a better choice for the hotel.

Not the same Carluccio's as it used to be. All food is of average quality. Never again. Ps: Could habe had the decency of waiting us to leave the terrace before starting a major cleaning of umbrellas, windows etc.

Took quite long to get our food, was a table of 7. The lasagne was made of lamb and was very smelly, the braised beef pasta was also not the best and the seafood pasta was very fishy. Overall the food wasn't worth the price

Just really bad food. Can’t remember I had diner in a restaurant this bad. The fish really wasn’t fresh. Even didn’t finish the meal, scared of food poisoning. Chicken in the Caesar salad was dry and tasteless.

Horrible service!!! They didn’t serve us at all, didn’t get table cleaned. So many waitresses and no one came. We had to stand up and get service ourselves. Tried getting a water refill - no response. And the dessert we ordered which was yoghurt and strawberries took 20 minutes to come 🤣🤣 and to get the bill took long too… and in the end i had to go up to the desk and just tell them to get the card machine out because clearly no one wanted our money. Avoid this place 🤪

The food was OK once it arrived. Service was shocking! 4 of us. 1 starter arrived, and 2 forgotten. Another starter arrived, and then the nibbles that should have arrived before starters. When the last starter arrived, the main course was served with it! Drinks were forgotten, and mayonnaise never arrived. When the bill arrived, we removed the discretionary service charge and told the waitress it had been removed. She replied "OK" We had various staff serve us, and it was not that busy. We will not eat there again. Be aware you may have a long wait...

This Carluccio offers hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and a great experience. Staff friendly and professional, specially Annalisa who took great care of our group. We loved the decorations for Valentines day! Recommended if you want some peace and tranquillity for your special events and fine dining.

The worst service and even worse food! Carluccio’s is supposed to be a quality chain but this is possibly the worst branch to go in London. Also it’s a huge inconvenience to people living at the hotel because there’s nowhere else to dine at except here and the next place is a 12 min walk. Won’t ever order from here again even if I have to walk 20 minutes to get to any eatery…

Steak was dry despite requesting it to be done medium rare no juices run out of the steak. Tough to cut. the potatoes tasteless fries had been sitting there all day rockhard myself and my companion. Both agreed. The food was absolutely terrible. My companion had a club sandwich which she found tasteless. Lacking flavour. Never again. The good name of Carluccio’s has been destroyed by this franchise. Children running around at the restaurant, screaming being a guest at the hotel after a long day. The last thing that was needed myself and my companion both left a majority of our food. Stop.

My mum and I had lunch, for her 87th Birthday. Pasta Carbonara is her favourite, and I had the beetroot pizza. They were both delicious. The Chef kindly gave us a piece of cake with a candle and the staff sang her Happy Birthday. We had a lovely time. The food and service were excellent.

I used to be a fan of Carluccios and came to this local one for the first time. All I can say is I wish I had checked the reviews. The food is microwaved from frozen. And it’s most certainly stale. We ordered a chicken liver pate and left it untouched beyond the first spoon because that felt a bit off too. The mushrooms risotto was just rice and salt with a few mushrooms. Absolute disappointment and downright shocking. These guys are taking the Marriott brand down with them too. Unfortunate to witness this downgrade of what used to be a renowned name. Definitely never coming back. The service was absolutely brilliant and the youngsters serving us were polite and attentive. The only reason I didn’t complain on the spot. I didn’t have the heart!

Firstly I'd just like to say the service was very good, friendly staff, our waitress was very attentive. Now moving on to the food. Starters were ok nothing to travel about but not complaining. Onto the mains - now let me say the reason I even went here to begin with is because I've been to a few of their other branches and I fell in love with the spinach ball pasta, im a big meat eater and this is the only place I temporarily become a vegetarian, for a while now the had taken this dish of the menu, I noticed it was back so off I went. Here's where the issues started, some of my pasta was under cooked and some ok, the crispy spinach balls were tiny flavourless and seemed liked they'd been microwaved, and the rest of the dish was bland and there was alot of water at the bottom of my pasta bowl, and to top it all off I asked and paid for extra spinach balls and instead my vegetarian dish had pieces of what looked like boiled chicken sprinkled around (could you imagine if I was actually vegetarian) so all in all a very disappointing experience, cant say I would recommend going here. Rant over!

Judging by the recent poor reviews, if these guys don’t get a chef in who knows how to cook they’ll be going out of business at this location. Frequent bad reviews are not good for the restaurant nor hotel. Don’t bother wasting your money the food is rubbish.

Food mediocre its gone down a lot but friendly efficient service

Dinner took 4h. Our group of 17 had to ask to be served each meal. Restaurant forgot to serve deserts. Added extra 10% hidden serving charges. Food just average

First time in my life I’ve found pizza to be on the verge of inedible. Also, when buying take out coffee, watch out for the service charge which is sneakily added. Extremely poor business practice.

The lasagne and penne giardiniera once our favourite at Carluccio’s, here was served heated up from frozen and tasteless. The manager gave us a refund though. Please avoid.

Poor. Sent 3 pasta meals back. Bland, tastless and cold. Manager brought the chef to the table asking for feedback for us whilst others were eating. Whole experience was not pleaseant.

I had the sea food linguine it wasn't great and some of it was cold. I did eat it all as I was starving but I would never go again.

Amazing food excellent service

I went to have dinner last week with my boyfriend. The food was great, the atmosphere is really nice, all the stuff is friendly specifically the Italian waiter that served us, polite, kind and nice. I will definitely be back soon )

Nice restaurant in the hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Slightly busy, ideal especially if you are working very accommodating.

Update 2: pleasantly surprised with recent service. Attentive and enjoyable. Upgrade to four stars (Feb 2020). Update: service has improved but still remains rather slow depending on who is your waiter. Ladies seem to be doing a better job than guys here. We come here almost every weekend because of hotel's gym. The service varies. 20 minutes to get the starter (calamari) was unfortunate and they had the nerve to include service in the bill... But at other times we enjoyed our stay. The food is ok. Coffee (espresso quality) is mediocre, which is a shame for an Italian restaurant. They would be well advised to check where Nero are getting their beans. Their espresso is way better.

Me and my son dined here tonight, the salami pizza tasted off the chicken dish wasn’t good although I ate it but wish I hadn’t, the waitress added side salad on the bill which we didn’t order or have and then they put a service charge on the bill without warning, and to top it off (without being crude) my stomach has been upset all night to a point where it was a little embarrassing,,,,,,defo won’t be dining here again 🙈😢

Updated Review Chloe, the manager, is exceptional! Without prompting, she deducted the cost of our meals after the long delay mentioned in my prior review. She was solicitous, polite, and professional. The food was good enough, so we did return a few times for the breakfast buffet, but we avoided any further dinners. The wait staff are friendly when they aren't being delayed by the kitchen staff. I felt it was important to set the record straight. Original 1 Star Review Absolute garbage. We waited 2 hours for our meals, and the restaurant was practically empty. I will never come back to this place again. Avoid it at all costs.

It’s a Carluccios, so food is never that great, but helpful location for the Hampstead Theatre. The reason I’ve given 4 stars rather than lower is simply because of the amazing service of our waitress Anna. She was just beyond lovely, so attentive and efficient but also just such an amazing energy. Her manager was also nice when it came to our allegories. But Anna - thank you. Promote her to head of customer service and training for the chain. I mean it.

Just went for food with my boyfriend, Anna is a very good waitress! We had a vegetarian sharing board which was tasty, my boyfriend had what he said is the worst lasagna he has ever tasted so not happy with that! Pizza Express’ lasagna is much better so disappointed as this restaurant is supposed to be a good Italian restaurant! I had a prawn starter which was nice! The atmosphere & look of the restaurant is the best part. Overall disappointed to be honest.

Went for dinner at the Marriott at the recommendation of a friend. It’s definitely a popular place, it was super busy. So much so that our food took a long time to arrive. It was clear that they were not organized enough to handle the influx of customers that evening. However, the service and the food were amazing and that made up for it. And I must tip my cap to Anna our waitress. She was apparently “in training” but you’d never know it. She was twirling from table to table like an acrobat, keeping a smile on everyone’s face, despite the rush. I almost felt bad ordering another wine, as she looked like she needed one more than I did! She was super helpful and recommended an amazing dessert that we were still humming about the next day. Definitely will come back.

Cold breakfast but lovely service. My eggs Benedict was cold - well the toast and sauce was, the eggs themselves were tepid. Clearly not freshly cooked. Very disappointed. Waitress was pleasant and service quick. Venue very noisy. Not to be recommended.

Awful food! I had a chicken escalope with rosemary potatoes, the potatoes were all old and black and the salad that came with my chicken had wilted and died, also black. How they think that’s acceptable to serve food in a restaurant like Carluccios in a very good hotel is beyond me. The risotto my friend ordered was extremely bland and all sticky. Spoke to the manager and he apologised, he said will take it off the bill and discount the food, the bill came and he took £3 off for the potatoes, totally not acceptable. Won’t be visiting again. Awful food! Awful management!! Needs to change drastically. Very Unpleasant experience.

Ok 2 stars is low. I am sorry to the great serving staff you guys are brill. Carluccios deserves to hit the wall, your food a few years ago was simple but good. Not any more. Like many restaurants you have decided to produce very bland food. At least it is consitantly bland in all your restaurants. Last ever visit make the food taste good its not hard good ingredients is the key. Thank you waiting staff.

Me and my partner went there friday eve for after valentines day dinner. I can say it was a big disappointment.. we sat down and no one offered us set menu or valentines set menu offer(other tables was though) My boyfriend got dirty water glass with a lipstick on it. He asked for clean one and got dirty one again.. We got the starters which were tasteless but no one bothered to check how was it.. my partner asked for extra toast and got the microwaved sourdough soft bread.... Then mains arrived and I had a spaghetti without spoon which I had to ask again.. Mains were not too bad and wine was ok but service was a disaster.. our waiter was laying on the station and drinking juice from a straw meanwhile we were trying to get his attention for a spoon which supposed to be on a table already.. Carluccios price,quality and service wise a BIG NO.

Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear. We've used the Regents Park hotel for 10 years, as well as various other Marriott's, and it has always been a great hotel in keeping with the brand. I'm amazed though that they have outsourced the food and beverage ops to Carluccio's - what were they thinking? The standards on this front have dropped considerably and drag down the rest of the operation with it. They can't set a table. They can't bring tea or coffee without four requests...and when they do it's undrinkable tea...I'm baffled as to why a great brand such as Marriott would partner up with the faux-Italian version of McDonalds? Was it also Carluccio's who were dragging large, noisy trolleys up and down the service ramp from 7am? Madness? Sleep disturbance and catering aside, the hotel overall maintains a great standard at a good price. Special mention to Felix who checked us in, and is a really nice guy. Do please look at the Carluccio's thing yourself, it's very poor and the staff clearly don't give a damn. Thanks, Jon Parker Lee

Most branches of this popular Italian chain are cramped, crowded and consequently noisy. This branch is located within the Marriott hotel, and as a result, is spacious and comfortable, at all times of the day except breakfast, when they have to feed the hotel guests. I live within 100 metres of this branch, so it is super convenient, but I think it is a hidden gem. The quality of the produce and the cooking are of a good standard - not super high end but then neither are the prices. There are dishes to suit all ages and tastes, including vegetarians and gluten frees. The service is always friendly and the fact that I can meet people there for a quick coffee or a 4 course meal, makes it my go-to local spot. Sadly I find their recommended seasonal wines quite uninteresting, and they do seem slightly overpriced for what they are, but the overall package works well.

Food and service were up to the usual Carluccios standard - not bad. However the venue does seem a little soulless being as it is in a hotel open plan dining area with breakfast buffet in plain view.

Not very happy. Went with in laws a couple of weeks ago for Sunday Lunch. Overpriced & bland- I'm a woman of a certain age that should avoid carbs but Seafood pasta always lures me. Anorexic Langoutine hiding in an ocean of pasta was uninteresting . Children's chicken was dry, lasagne, boring tho service is great with warm friendly and attentive staff
