Carluccio’s - London, Marriott Heathrow in Hillingdon

The food was tasty and my server, Standa, was incredibly helpful and had great energy! She made the dinner even more amazing!

A great experience this evening. Our chef Hom went above and beyond with our family. Very polite and professional that made the food and overall experience incredibly.

Great dinner before the flight! Nice and quick service from the lovely staff. Made the table reservation for 2 people as it was Sunday dinner time but maybe didn’t have to do that can walk in - it was not so crowded!

My family and I have dined at Carluccio’s many times over the years, always enjoying the experience. However, our visit to the Marriott Heathrow branch was incredibly disappointing, particularly due to poor service. We ordered two starters and four main courses. While the starters were acceptable, the garlic focaccia was below the standard we’ve experienced at other branches. We also had to ask several times for water and drinks to be served. As soon as the mains were brought to the table, the server asked if everything was alright, though we hadn’t even had time to try the food. When we did, my Giardiniera pasta and my older son’s vegan spaghetti were unbearably salty—so much so that neither of us could eat them. To be sure, I gave some of my pasta to my husband and children to taste on side plates, and I also tried my son’s spaghetti. Everyone agreed that both dishes were far too salty. The other two dishes (pizza and ravioli) were fine and were eaten. Importantly, most of the two salty dishes remained untouched, in the main dishes and also on the side plates, with only small portions tasted. When the server returned to ask about he food again, we asked for a menu to consider replacements but ultimately decided not to order additional main courses. We clearly mentioned the saltiness of the dishes to the server and asked for them to be removed, ordering only a Nutella calzone for the children. At no point did we indicate to the server that we were happy with the quality of the food, in fact we clearly expressed our dissatisfaction. We therefore assumed the uneaten dishes would be removed from the bill, but when it arrived, the Giardiniera pasta was still listed. Despite the poor experience, a service charge had also been added. When my husband queried the bill, the server mumbled something incoherent and took it to her manager. Instead of apologising, the manager argued that from his inspection of the main dish, most of the pasta had been eaten, which was untrue. He claimed we hadn’t informed the server about the issue, essentially accusing us of lying to avoid paying for the dish. We explained that both dishes had been barely touched, with much of the food left on the side plates as well as in the original dishes. The manager clearly hadn’t bothered to check the side plates and had no response when this was pointed out. Throughout the conversation, the manager ignored me entirely and addressed only my husband, even when I tried to explain the situation. When my husband insisted that he speak to me, the manager claimed he couldn’t talk to two people at once—despite us speaking calmly and taking turns. His behaviour was dismissive and rude. After much back-and-forth, he finally agreed to remove the dish and, at my request, also took off the service charge. Unfortunately, the ordeal didn’t end there. We waited another ten minutes for the updated bill, only for the original server to return and confront us again. She accused us of claiming the food was fine initially, which was completely untrue. Despite our repeated attempts to end the discussion, she continued arguing, leaving us frustrated and upset. The issue wasn’t just the substandard food but the appalling customer service. What could have been a minor disappointment turned into an upsetting experience due to the way the staff handled the situation. We hope Carluccio’s management takes these comments seriously and invests in better staff training.

Last night my husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner. When we reached there we were absolutely exhausted and starved because of our work and back to back meetings all day. So we ordered a pizza and two steaks for us. The food is absolutely amazing, no complaints about that. We enjoyed our food and had a great time. My issue is the server that served us. I don’t know her name but she was wearing some sort of lights as her necklace. She came to us and told are we finished and began to take our plates (I was still eating and holding one of the chips). We got uncomfortable and told her to take the plates anyway. Then she asked us if we need any dessert and we said no we were fine. Then she literally told us, I am not surprised after that big dinner while making a judgemental face. Like seriously? That’s not even the end of it. After the bill, she told us to take three rounds of the hotel because we had too much food?!! Also while making that judgemental face. Seriously?!! You are telling your guests to take three rounds of the hotel?!!! I mean if you want to make such stupid jokes and be so unprofessional that you make your guests uncomfortable, then you should learn some manners. I don’t care if she the floor manager or whoever she is, she should learn from her juniors. The other girl who served us food was absolutely phenomenal. Anyway, my anniversary has been ruined and I felt so embarrassed and left the restaurant feeling guilty that maybe indeed we ordered too much. As we couldn’t be together whole day for our work, that evening was really something that we were looking forward to. Even I have worked in hospitality in my beginning days as a student. Trust me, I know. This can never be the standard for a restaurant like this. Utterly disgusted!

Standa was friendly and very festive with her light decoration as a necklace. A nice touch for the holidays. The staff is friendly and the food is wonderful. I haven’t had a bad meal here yet

Ask for Standa! Great service and fresh food. Try the chicken and avocado club. Lots of food choices that will not disappoint.

Had a fantastic stay at this Marriott. Julien the door host was very accommodating and Myla the server was super nice. Stayed between Dec 1st - Dec 8th. It is however quite pricey compared to our Canadian dollar when you factor in the exchange rate.

We had such a great experience at Carluccios. Both nights we went to dinner, Standa was our server. Great food and great service.

Our server, Standa, was absolutely OUTSTANDING!! So attentive, very accommodating and her food and drink recommendations were top notch for all four of us. Our table had three different pasta dishes, a burger and drinks, and all of it was beautifully served and so delicious. My VERY picky youngest daughter inhaled her pasta and told us over and over again how fab it was! Wish we could be regulars at this establishment but we are flying home tomorrow :(

Pretty disappointing meal. We had a pasta dish, a chicken dish with 2 sides. The pasta dish was the best out of all the items however the dish itself is bad value (6 very tiny spinach balls). Chicken was rubbery and potatoes reminded me of something you would get on an airplane. The sauce was detailed as a "white wine" sauce but it resembled something of a lemon butter mix (which I personally didn't like). Do not buy the sides - you will be disappointed if you do. The staff are friendly. Carluccios used to be our favourite restaurant but now we shall never return again.

I’ve seen faster service in a snail race on Bournemouth beach. Food was superb though. Staff need a lesson in CS.

Simply put, it's impossible to book here unless you are in the hotel itself. Not because it's overwhelmingly busy, but because they don't answer the phone... ever...

We came here after being disappointed with the dining options at our own hotel in the Radisson, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious (particular highlight the goats cheese pizza). The service was quick and friendly, exactly what we needed. We enjoyed it so much that we decided we will stay at the Marriott next time we need a Heathrow hotel.

We were a little reluctant because some reviews mentioned slow service. However we had an exceptional evening here. We had a two course meal and it was fabulous. Not been to a carluccio restaurant for a few year's, food was brilliant and the service was prompt. A great lad called Constancio served us, respectful but slso a good sense of humour. We were just on a stop over at Heathrow. Thank you Carluccio's

The food was absolutely Excellent!!! We recommend Carluccio’s 100%. We have eaten at many hotels around the world but the food at Carluccio’s is by far the BEST. All the staff was attentive and very friendly but Getisha and Faiza provided iconic customer service. They made us feel welcome, always greeting us with a warm smile. Thank you. We will always stay at the London Heathrow Marriott Hotel and will always come back to Carluccio’s.

This is a great spot for a meal. We came for brunch ( as the Radisson next door where we were staying had their restaurant closed between 10am and 12pm and couldn't even serve us coffee). We were greeted with a smile at Carluccio's by the lovely Patrycja. She was professional, friendly and so very helpful with our dietary requests. Omlettes were amazing and coffee was great. Bonus points as they have all the milk alternatives(soy, oat,almond and coconut), which I've found hit and miss in London. I had a soya latte and hubby an Americano - good coffee.

Food is usually good at Carluccio's. Last time I took the tuna salad and it was very nice and quite a big portion. Obviously since it is inside the Marriott and close to Heathrow it is pricey. The service is ok. It is slow and one of the waitresses is a bit moody (sometimes very nice and sometimes less customer friendly)

I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality. If you are staying in the hotel you get a discounted breakfast rate. Kids under 12 don't pay which is a plus for families.

Visited as a small group of 8 people. We’re seated easily, as we had pre-booked a table. Our drink order was taken, then our food order - it was disappointing that the waiter didn’t think to move from one end to the other to take the food order - we had to ask. The drink order was delivered fairly quickly. And that’s where it went down hill. As we were sitting next to the kitchen we were watching food being made and taken to the table. Over 45 minutes we had to stop someone to ask where our food was. It turned out that some of it had been sitting on the serving pass for 10 mins and was delivered cold to the table. In fact it was around half the dishes that had been ordered. It was sent back! At that point some of the other dishes started being brought to the table. In the end it took over 1 hr for all of the food to be delivered - hot - to the table. This as even more disappointing as a previous visit to the restaurant, with a larger group, had been faster and delivered hot. It will be a long time before we consider returning.

A very good Italian restaurant in a hotel no less. Nice selection of food and drink and the service was friendly and professional. I would return.

We were pleasantly surprised by the food options here. We got a delicious oat milk iced latte. We also got the vegan breakfast, it was big and perfect before traveling.

Dinner experiences 2 separate overnight stays. Service was consistently terribly slow, just getting a drink and menu took ages. One time we had to change tables as idiots close by were talking so loud. Twice the food that finally came had to be sent back as incorrectly prepared, final replacement was decent but more than an hour from ordering. The manager was very helpful with sorting things out, effectively covering for their useless staff. I wouldn't recommend and if I stay at the hotel again I would try and eat dinner elsewhere.

Lukewarm undercooked pasta. Waited 20 minutes for a kids ice lolly and it wasn't the one listed on the menu

We order fish and chips for 20 pounds rate the fish portion is so small it’s was like kids menu fish and chips … for 16 pounds in pheasant resturant just 5 mins away we get 3 times the size of fish and large plate of curly chips … management should to focus on these points

Food okay but overpriced. Poor service. I got up and found a water jug at the bar for water at our table. Long wait for food. No one asked if we wanted tea/coffee/ dessert. Had to ask for a bill and then find a 12.75% service fee. I had it removed.

Went here for breakfast before heading off to the airport. Server was very nice and despite my initial concerns of speed of service (based upon reviews), she checked in on us frequently and we weren't really left wanting. Kept it simple for food and stuck with the fruit bowl and toast. Fruit came in a jar and it was of decent portions and more importantly fresh tasting. Atmosphere was unfortunate as it was pretty chaotic and noisy with it being in the lobby and tons of travelers milling about. Overall I would say breakfast here was fine and I'd go again. Other meals? I'd probably search the local area.

Food: I ordered a seafood linguine, unfortunately was not what I was expecting since I had it in other places (not in uk), i would say it’s a revised linguine with an Indian or East Asian spices touch. Service : disappointing, I tried to call the waiter who served me however was not available and the colleague was not willing to call since he was outside smoking. I’m pretty sure this is not carluccio standard. I don’t recommend eating here unless you have no knowledge about Italian food and starving.

Just had my breakfast here. Food is tasty, the orange juice was so fresh, place is cozy n the front house are very friendly n helpful especially the girl name Myla. Will defo come back

I would like to tell a bit about my experience with breakfast… food are really good quality ( when you need to stay at the airport hotel most of the time that disappointed me), and I appreciate patience and kindness from Myla (young woman, who is working as a waitress) with all my requests… and the main thing Myla all time smiling:)

The food was OK, but the service was dreadful. We waited 53 minutes between our starter and main course. The waiters walking around seemed to be deliberately ignoring us even though it wasn’t busy. They had the cheek to add a service charge. Will not be going back. Also, paying for here parking is a nightmare.

If comparing to an actual restaurant, lower your expectations. No care goes into the food they serve. It's edible, passable, but novice cook could make it better themselves.

After my recent review, unfortunately things went a little bit down. The good stuff: Duck conft and seafood linguine didn't disappoint at all. The duck whole leg was cooked really good and meet was tender a slides off the bones. Seafood linguine was good selection of muscles, prawns and squid with balanced spiciness. Their chocolate fondant was really good with nicely warm oozing chocolate in the middle. The not so good: Duck confir skin was not crisp at all. Recotta and spinach ravioli was bland Regatoni with pene for kids arrived with penne They didn't have hazelnut espresso martini Focaccia with garlic butter was not focaccia at all, ore like sliced bread with butter. Service was on the slow side and staff were not very attentive at times. Overall, still recommend but don't get recotta with Spanish ravioli or focaccia

Wasn't expecting a lot since it's hotel food. But it was wonderful, and the serves was outstanding.

Having stayed at this Marriot hotel twice now in the last 4 weeks I can say hand on heart how attentive all of the staff are. Faizah and Patrjcya in the restaurant were phenomenal even arranging for Sea Bass to be on the buffet menu for me. Absolutely top dollar. Thank you all

Standra, kala and chef Homi are amazing! They worked super hard in the kitchen for me and did a great job! They are a great team who will prepare and provide you with their best meals and service. They really bend over backwards to make sure you get the best meals.

As part of the hotel, this restaurant is really great! I had breakfast here during my stay and enjoyed the omelette. I ordered sides of sausage, guacamole, and potatoes and they were all very tasty. My server Myla was awesome and made sure I was always taken care of. Thanks!

Wow! It was such an amazing experience! We were welcomed by friendly Antonio who served us drinks and throughout the meal we were looked after by Kala who was very pleasant and approachable. The meal was very tasty.Thank you to chef Konrad who prepared perfectly cooked ribeye steak, and from prawns and calamari to start with, through main course and desert it was beautifully enjoyable. Overall I highly recommend to visit Carluccio as it’s unforgettable experience.

I had come for lunch with my friends and I really enjoyed the food and the service, also not forgetting the Amazing Cocktails made by Velfern.

What amazing food!! The sea bass was perfect, the green salad was delicious, and the pistachio ice cream was divine!! One of the best hotel restaurants we have eaten at, and we have traveled a great deal. And they have a gluten-free menu as well! We highly recommend this restaurant!!

As a family, we love Carluccio’s at Marriott Heathrow - the food is always delicious, the ambience is gorgeous and the staff overall are welcoming, really friendly and fantastic customer service. We have been to most of the restaurants on bath road and the only place we keep going back to is Carluccio’s at Marriott Heathrow because of have much we love it. We 100% recommended this place!!

The service was great and we were being looked after by Abhijeet who was amazing and so tentative. It was my sons birthday dinner and we all enjoyed the food and the service. Definitely would recommend.

Spagetti carbonara... I was very surprised by this carbonara. Normally at a restaurant you can't feel the taste of pecorino and the guanciale is replaced by bacon or panchetta but this carbonara had the right taste and the amazing guanciale (explodes with juices in your mouth). One of the best spaghetti carbonara I ever had, almost as good as my own😂

Very disappointing meal tonight. Our food sat on the server for around 20 minutes before the waiter finally brought it over, so not surprisingly I sent it back as it was luke warm. The chef remade the whole meal but I wouldn't return there. It wasn't great second time around, the steak was over done and club sandwich didn't have much going for it either. £90 I won't get back

Minus 2 stars for extremely expensive drinks that milk expense accounts, otherwise decent instance of the genre, with some awkwardness about the layout of spaces within the cavernous hotel.

Always seems to be a translation issue with staff. Food pricey but great quality.

The waitress who served us was so polite and a credit to her company. My family wish her success on one day becoming a manager ...shame the menu was limited for non halal eaters ...there should be both aviable for all clients.

We love coffee and cakes at carluccio’s . We had many times at Leicester before, this is first time we visited this place. They have both take away and restaurant inside Marriott. Service was really good, staff were friendly and plenty of seating area. Quickly served us. We went around 3pm, very few people were there. Food and drinks were really tasty. We were expecting more quantity, otherwise it was really great experience. Marriott car parking available. It’s airport area, we only could see paid parking areas.

As always great food! Super Italian and authentic food. Carluccio has set the trend for authentic food and long may it continue. In his life on earth Carluccio has left a legacy and his hallmark in creating the food he loved for others to enjoy long after he left us. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace. They advertise brunch till 2pm. But the tell you that its 15 min to close bkfast. Felt a little rushed

Good local Italian restaurant. Feel like the mozzarella and tomato salad should have marinated tomatoes like the bruscheta. Overall good quality food in a lovely setting.

Booking was not noted in booking diary, requests not met. Sea bass was over fried and watery. Incorrect second main was brought out. Charged for incorrect meal brought out. Correct main chicken was extremely dry and a cold sauce was given in an attempt to save it. Drinks were extremely average. 12.5% Service charge was automatically added to the bill meaning you had to manually calculate the cost. Servers were okay but did not take order correctly and didn’t understand when I asked for a celebratory/candle/shot to be brought out. Nice atmosphere but food and service do not match.

Staff seems so unhappy. The food was okay, but expensive for the fact it’s not the best. They didn’t have anything off their menu available even though they hand them out. They were quick to get the food out but not to check if the order was right

Been here lots of times, food very acceptable but today we had the BEST waitress, Standa, beyond efficient and so much fun. Ask to be at her table!!!!!

We stayed at a different hotel, but opted to dine at Carluccio’s. The dinner was excellent, and the service from Constancio was even better. He was respectful and attentive. We will definitely dine at Carluccio’s again.
