Carholme Chippy in Lincoln

I accidentally ordered to the wrong address and the delivery guy kindly went out of his way to deliver the food to another address - fantastic service

Usually bang on - poor tonight though. Slow. Not hot. Chips were hard and all over the bag - box lot closed properly. Disappointing.

loads of crazy battered things to try! The chips and battered sausages were good and my new favourite is Irish curry sauce!

Portion was extremely small compared to when going into the shop but prices were also higher so value for money was a lot less.

The fish & chips were wonderful. I know where to get my fish & chips from now on.

Battered sausage are great. Irish curry sauce is the best sauce I've tasted. Daughter loved the battered boost & creme egg. Spam fritter was nice. Potato scallops were too thinly sliced. No idea if it's the potatoes at this time of year but the chips weren't great. Every few chips tasted like chemicals.

awful food was tepid at best chips must of been last week's. peas were full of congealed lumps . pie top was tough as bricks . ended up with most of it straight in the bin

I just think this chip shop used to be the best one in the City, I thought I would give it another chance since it failed me multiple times previously and I was warned not to bother but did it anyway. Chips are always soggy, you’ll get about 10 of the chips extremely overdone, and the delivery times are constantly extended, did not eat.

Food was good, not overly tasty, but was average. Delivery driverbwas great, found my house which is tricky tonfind and super friendly

The cauliflower fritters are AMAZING!!!! generous portions too.

Was ok. Sometimes we’ve had amazing food from here but this time was just ok. Just to let you know the Irish curry is not Irish, it’s just a normal Chinese paste but really nice to have the option. I’m Irish btw just in case you’re wondering 🤣 Kelly

Estimated time very incorrect, but when received very tasty even though they were a little greasier than some other chippies, but enjoyable all the same.

The mince pie was delicious, so was the fish. Unfortunately the chips weren’t freshly cooked. The driver was lovely. I would use this business again as I’ve had good experiences before, but tonight wasn’t their best chips.

Was very satisfied with the food and delivery time! Only downside was the halloumi was a bit soggy in the burger but still tasted lovely and the battered biscotti bun has just a bit too much batter. But overall was very satisfied and definitely will be ordering again.

vegan gravy, and vegan chicken and mushroom pie were immense. chips always great, mushy pea fritter also fantastic. so great to have a chippy that has so many options for vegans or plant based diets

tHE BATTER WAS WELL OVER COOKED. nEED A CHAIN SAW TO CUT IT. WE HAVE SOME GREAT MEALS BUT THE LAST 3 THE BATTER HAS TERRIBLE.

First time order and unfortunately the last. Our order was incomplete, my fish was missing! And no scrumps after paying for them! Chips were really greasy. The person I spoke to at the shop was really nice though.

Great service great quality fish n chips

We chose this chippy because of the vast range of vegan options. Heads up the vegan sausages are tiny, so definitely order double. The medium chips I also thought were quite small in comparison to the average chippy, so the advice from me is to over-order and you won’t be left hungry (the place is good value so you this wont be too much of a risk!). Still peckish now, but the meal was tasty 🙏🏼

Lovely food had from here quite a bit when lived up that way but ordered this time didn’t disappoint only thing Chinese curry had no flower and was far to watery but otherwise perfect

Me and the other half often have a drive over for the vegan chippy food. Foods great and staff are always friendly. Would definitely recommend it.

Ordered Large chips think they were regular, fish not to good and was that hot, just luke warm.

All was brilliant apart from the wrong drink sent. Asked for coke zero got full fat which no one drinks so it went in the bin.

Very very disappointed with my order! Took 90mins to arrive and when it did half the order was missing! My grandchildren were looking forward to a treat for their dinner!!!!!! £35 was my total definitely won’t be ordering again!!!

As always, the BEST cooked and presented fish and chips in Lincoln! Than k you. Slight worry about portion sizes today: the jumbo haddock used to have to be broken to fit in the box - today a few centimeters spare either end...I'd say what used to be small is now regular, today's jumbo is just an average regular/medium. In addition - 6 battered mushrooms at nearly £3? 50p a mushroom...really? Come on, Carholme, don't let us down :)

food was awful. the cheesy chips was way too much cheese and like no chips and the cheese was amalgamated into a block and horrible. the halloumi burger was full of oil in the bread. not worth the money spent on any of the food

We love the chips, curry sauce and pea fritters! However disappointed with the cod goujon bap which seemed to be just cheap fish fingers.

Food was missing half the items and was quite cold , shame as we was really looking forward to it.

Been tonight for tea, food was cooked fresh in front of us, the customer service was perfect and staff were very friendly! We drove home with the food roughly 10/15 minutes drive and the food was still piping hot, crispy fish, fresh chips and beautiful curry sauce! Definitely best chippy in Lincoln! 😍😍😍

Fantastic traditional chippy that does it like no other. Hidden away in a corner of Lincoln this may actually be one of my favourites in the country. While I'm not vegan, I appreciate their efforts to include an expansive vegetarian/vegan menu which is unusual for a chippy like this and from what I've tried of it the veggie options are thoroughly enjoyable. Should easily be listed in Lincoln's top 10 places to eat on a Friday night.

delivery driver polite and professional fish was fantastic best I've had for a long time chips bit over cooked however still nice overall would highly recommend. good old Fish and Chips cooked how its ment to be 10/10.

Had food from here a few times now, been lovely every time . Kebab meat is cooked perfectly and favourite chippy for chips.

The Cod and chips was very disappointing. The cod wasn't cooked well in fact it was over cooked

chips were a little pale could've done with a bit longer in the fryer. But it was a decent size portion all hot and fresh

The vegan options are great. I recommend the tofish and the vegan curry sauce. This place is regularly our cheat night. Reasonably priced but so so good!

Excellent cooking and service let down slightly by plastic bag as outer container for boxes.
