Food was very hearty and full of flavour. It all tasted delicious. Love the fact that you could taste the freshness of ingredients as well as the feeling it was all homemade. The atmosphere is very modern, homely, clean and fresh. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be coming back!!!😊👍

The Christmas decor is beautiful, and the leather booths have big blankets on the back of the sofas, big cushions, lots of fairy lights and candles. My two friends and I orederd from the set menu 3 course for £20, I had the bang bang cauliflower, absolutely delicious and a big portion for a starter, then steak pie, again lovely gravy, meat very tender, I loved the garlic butter carrots, home made skin on fries was great. I didn't have pudding, but both my friends did and the looked and tasted delicious. Staff are lovely so nice. Cost a 3 course for £20, absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back

Had the most awful meal! The chicken in a salad looked like a dead man’s hand! It was cold but not fully cooked, pink in the middle, brought it home for the dog! 2 diet cokes served in the can, not poured. Never again.

My partner has previously visited the cardross inn for lunch a few weeks ago with a large walking group and as it had been nice we popped in for lunch when passing today. It was a somewhat limited set Easter menu which had no vegetarian main course options but after asking were advised that one, the enchilada could be made vegetarian. So, order placed for soup, chicken pakora, vegetable enchilada and a burger. 35 mins later asked one of the staff to check on order as looked to have been forgotten. Few mins later the starters arrived. Soup was fine. A peppery lentil broth. The 3 pakora were really just battered goujons but nice enough. The mains arrived after a few mins. We asked the member of staff, just to check, that the enchilada was meat free, they said they'd confirm with the kitchen. After several more minutes of them not returning while the food cooled,my partner trusted it would be okay, cut in to have a first bite. Yup, pulled pork. After lots of apologising and offer of a replacement, but by this time my partner had lost her appetite and did not want to wait further. I finished my burger (bit dry but okay) and we left. My partner's food was removed from the bill and the apologies confirmed. While a disappointment for us this could have been a lot more of an issue if this lapse related to an allergy. I hope that this was just an isolated bad day but very disappointing. Had been hoping to make a regular stop for the walking group but think not based on today's experience.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and there was plenty of room for us and our dog. The facilities were good, although there is no mirror to dry your hair. We would stay here again if we were up this way.

It’s with a heavy heart I write this review, being a resident of Cardross for nearly 20 years I have seen the Cardross Inn swap hands many times. We were hopeful for the business on our first trip to the restaurant last month but after my experience tonight its safe to say I won’t be back. Firstly, the food, my partner and I both ordered a beef burger, my partners food was acceptable but mine was completely charred. My partner and I patiently waited for around half an hour, watching the other table receive their food before our order was rectified. When the second burger arrived, I was incredibly disappointed to see that this burger was also burnt. It was not as bad as the first but still unacceptable. Now I would like to discuss the service …. Its shame considering it was ruined my one individual, but I am disgusted by the way were treated by this member of staff. When we sent back the first burger that was black, she was laughing when her college informed her of this, but it doesn’t stop there. When I sent back the second burger she loudly exclaimed “what the f**k does he want now” to her college. I am speechless. We were incredibly polite about the whole ordeal to the staff with it being returned in kind expect for this young girl, with us getting constant scowls from her across the restaurant. The manager and the other staff were lovely and fully compensated the meal. With the manager trying to offer us something else to eat but I had lost my appetite by this point. I wish I had caught the name of the girl, but she was a short young girl with dark hair. I hope she is properly disciplined so another customer doesn’t have to deal with this experience.

This place looks OK. The car park is small though for the size. Food OK this place sells everything from fish and chips to Mexican. It is probably the most bizarre menu I have ever seen. The so called special tacos 🌮 had a filling that has less spice and seasoning than water. The waitresses looked miserable. Sobad you want to give them a number for child line!! My drink of standard coke was half ice and from a pump ie cold coloured water. To be fair desert was good. It had that just warmed up feel you get from a quick throw in the microwave, a few nice squiggles Then you add the next problem.... footie on on the other side . Don't get me wrong I don't mind it but there was no physical divide so the cheering swearing etc was blasted down my families ears. Summary Chef make up your mind what food to serve. This place simply doesn't make sense, it's a jack of all trades ie trieste be to many things and fails badly

I had the misfortune of being taken out to dinner here tonight 30422 and how I wished I hadn’t been the place has no atmosfear while the decor leaves a lot to be looked at it’s certainly not a small village pub anymore rather a unfriendly city centre kind of vibe about the place were your treated as an inconvience rather than a valid customer from the 45 minuets they took to take a drinks order after being seated even then it was wrong then another 30 minuets to take a food order that took an hour to arrive only after asking about the delay when it burned up it was a mix of over cooked and undercooked raw fish that was deep fried how that's possible I don’t know stake pie well stew with a pastry top douched in vinegar chips that there no more than shells they were that over done and a vegi lasagna that had one pice of pepper in it that was burnt and the pasta was over cooked really would have gotten a better meal eating out of the scraps bin apparently there was only one chef in the kitchen I’m sure this kitchen hasn't seen a chef in many years when he issues were raised with the supervisor two of our party were called lies and that a refund could not be issued as they don’t have the authority to do so long and short rude staff and sloppy waist product they are trying to pass of as food avoid at all cost the village needs a pub just not this one

Got a fish supper and received one small fish and a handful of chips. Chips avarage, fish shocking for a fishing community like Campbeltown. Greasy fish very thin and soggy like Spngebob.

This is actually the Premier Inn Hotel restaurant, but don’t be fooled by any means - this is not standard. The food is great & made by a very creative Chef would pays attention to deal & cares about what he’s plating. Our server who was also the bar tender was so nice & very attentive. Houmous & gain salad on the Mediterranean salad dish were all made from scratch & with the olives & pita bread were excellent. The linguine, tomato with prawn was also a winner. Tiramisu cream made from scratch too. We asked to meet the Chef the meal was so good - a very humble, nice hungarian guy. A pleasure to meet him. Given it was a hotel restaurant - it was a bit quiet, but we didn’t care as the ambiance was relaxed & tables were rustic. Who needs crowds - LOL.
