The dal and butter chicken are really tasty and well-made, with great flavours and good quality.

The biryani was absolutely delicious, with perfectly cooked rice, fragrant spices, and tender chicken. The chicken jalfrezi was packed with flavours, a nice balance of tangy and spicy, with juicy chicken . Both dishes were truly satisfying and worth trying!

Great food and usually great service. however it was clearly a bad night as we waited for nearly and hour in a very crowded waiting room. Still we will return!

The food was stone cold and the delivery took over an hour to even find a driver I am not happy with this at all

I tried Bhatti Prawn Jalfrezey today. It was fresh, tasty so I recommend Cardamom Kitchen.

Lamb madras, pillow rice and onion bhaji were excellent dishes. The owner Nab served me with excellent care. The best takeaway I have ever tried in Southampton.

flavours was very nice but the chicken massively undercooked for my liking it was pink in most of the main dish. for this reason I will not order again from here like I said flavours nice but do take more time cooking the meat through

I have heard good reports of Cardamon Lounge so thought we'd give it a go. Only 2nd order through Just Eat. Food was tasty when it arrived but the chicken was dry and hard. Maybe this was due to the fact that it arrived 2 hours after ordering. Original estimate was 30 to 40 minutes. I had to ring the restaurant in the end and they blamed the Just Eat driver. Meal arrived about 10 mins after my call otherwise it would have been 2.5 hours after order. Not sure who was to blame.

We have known the team behind Cardamom Kitchen for years, having watched the team provide excellent Indian cuisine to the community for over 35 years. I now live in London but whenever I visit my parents in Southampton this is the only place I insist upon for takeaway. The curries are simply divine, with a depth of flavour that is sometimes missed in takeout food. The portions are plentiful and the team so friendly it's like nipping to a neighbours for dinner. I have samples Asian cuisine all over the Uk and their's still stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Unfortunately not good. Lacking flavour and portion size very small and burnt. Shame as was impressed with this restaurant but past few meals have been poor.

Ordered a takeaway tonight, the food was good and we enjoyed but we had to wait 2 and a half hours for delivery. When we called to ask where the food was, there wasn't an apology or explanation. Not great service.

Had different dishes tonite from starts mains and side all food was of great taste . Service from staff excellent

really poor service all round. nearly and hour late and when I called the restaurant they were rude and blamed just eat telling me it was on route. for it only to get an update saying it was then being prepared. I don't see why we should have have to pay for this given it was Luke warm at best when it arrived.

Very poor customer service. I ordered for butter chicken and specifically asked for not making it sweet and traditional Indian style. But the supplied butter chicken was sweet as hell and of poor quality. Horrible

First time ordering and can honestly so was really tasty. Food was all fresh and you can actually taste all the ingredients, not artificial and cheap products. It arrived hot which is a big plus for me. Will definitely order from here again.

Wow...I order from here often, and everytime its consistently good. However, my recent order was absolutely fantastic. It just gets better each time.... Honestly, this is by far the best Indian takeaway in Southampton.

I just ordered the Chicken biryani and it was tasteless,it just looked like a fried rice,no ingredients mentioned were there in it.There was spring onions in biryani😠.just money waste!!

We've ordered from here multiple times and tried lots of different items from the menu. We've always been impressed and the food is of a similar standard to The Coriander Lounge in town.

Well recommended! The food is of restaurant quality. I was surprised how well the Tandoori Chicken Jalfrasi tasted. The chicken was not over cooked or dry, and the selection of spices and the freshness was really good. This is a very authentic experience. Other dishes ordered: Garlic Chilli Chicken, Butter chicken and peshwari Nan. Will def come again!

Today I had my first take away from this place and it was amazing. I had a vegetable korma with rice and some samosas and the food was very impressive and tasteful, together with good portions and temperature of the food. Staff was very polite and friendly. And that's a big yes from me for this restaurant.

The biryani I ordered from this restaurant was an absolute delight! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, with tender, well-marinated meat and fragrant, fluffy rice. Each bite was a burst of culinary bliss, leaving me craving for more. Highly recommended for all biryani lovers out there!

First time for us to try the cardamom kitchen. Unfortunately, we found the curries to be spicy. The chicken tikka and korma are meant to be mild, but they were too spicy to eat.

Quite possibly the nicest curry I’ve had in such a long time! Huge portions, piping hot on arrival and fresh. We had the lamb dupiaza and the chicken madras and both were amazing, the meat just fell apart and they were so tasty. Will definitely be ordering here every time we fancy Indian takeaway!! Consistently delicious, especially the lamb karai and zeera rice which has become our standard deliveroo order, now. I think this place's menu offers flavours not found in most places, creating an experience unique to it.

I must say this is the first Indian takeaway I've had in a while due to poor quality of food that comes of of them in recent times so I am pleased to say this was a great choice it was fantastic for flavours,spices and really nice to enjoy a well cooked meal for a change onion baji could do with some work on bit other than that top food thanks

Sorry to be negative after all the super reviews. We were looking forward to something special, and found the food to be very ordinary. Basic Indian restaurant fare, and the samosas were terrible. Little dry triangles. Nothing like what we get from the local shop. Plus the delivery was late. Won't be going back.
