Ordered 1.15pm and didn't arrive till 2.09. Almost a hour after ordering. Food was almost cold.

Food is always hot, good selection. We have ordered many times.

I'd say they are more on the affordable side. However I think this is definitely over rated and there are definitely better options nearby such as green man in Edgware and Belmont fish and chips. I'd say give those options a go instead if you have the option.

Lovely and amazing atmosphere compared to other fish and chips shops and really really clean. The gentlemen at the shop were very very polite and I am very pleased very well mannered staff. The fish was very very fresh and battered very well tasted amazing compared to other fish and chips around the area and is really a traditional style like proper old school compared to other shops who use frozen packed fish this was all repeated freshly. The fish was really well cooked and everything was right chips were also very well fresh and not greasy at all they were just all perfect. The portion was priced appropriately and definitely with it. Amazing experience and I will definitely be back: thanks for the service captains cabin.

Very tasty Sausage and the chips were very fresh and delicious. The pie was made fresh to and was served all freshly. Really happy with all the service provided by the team and the food was really tasty. Would love to go again and try the fish. Can’t wait to try again thank you

Went in today for lunch and I must say this was really nice and fresh. The fresh was hot and freshly prepared and battered to a really good standard. The fish is really high quality too I can just taste it compared to other shops the fish was very tender and rich in its taste. The chips were extremely nice and were prepared freshly. Ran by an amazing group of staff who are always polite and happy to help and an amazing place to. Would definitely recommend giving them a try if you are in the area. Will definitely be back again. The sausage was really tasty extremely well cooked and tender and the chips were fresh. It was worth the wait the pie was really tasty and cooked fresh. Would love to come and try the fish again. Thanks for the amazing service

This was an absolutely amazing fish and chips I’ve had after a very long time. It was battered well and the fish was a very high quality. Very crispy and soft in the inside well cooked too. Chips were very nice and were cooked and prepared freshly. Staff were extremely polite and food took about 5 mins to prepare. Amazing atmosphere and extremely friendly staff would definitely be visiting you again and would recommend to anyone who’s in the area!

Order was 20mins late and beef and onion pie was cold and not cooked properly I called and he said they are already cooked I explained yes but mine wasn’t defrosted properly!!!!

My order turned up 20 minutes late fish was cold chips were just warm was not a pleasant meal and was not happy with it. The service seems to have dropped captains cabin from good to now quite bad. Don’t think I will be ordering from there again that was £15basically down the drain

Food was delicious! Chip portion were very generous, they were also warm not hot but understandable with distance for delivery. Next time I will warm plates first, no big deal. Will definitely order from them again!

Such badly managed establishment, placed an order via Uber eats, they called back to say items not available, asked to place another order over the phone not aware they then charged us twice. I realized and told them this, was meant to “investigate” and get back to us but never did. Avoid!!

Old cold chips and fish all broken up a soggy batter , I don’t mind waiting longer for a delivery, if the food is fresh, but my chips and fish must have been sat around for half an hour wrapped up and sweating

My food arrived 35 minutes late and was cold. I also paid £4.50 for a milkshake which my opinion was not even worth £2 usually food from captains cabin. It’s on time and good quality and hot today. I have been very disappointed in the whole meal

Excellent food long delivery time

Not their best, COD was smashed up in the box, but at least it was in a box and not paper wrapped like some other places (fish batter sticks to the paper wrapping).. Wasn’t hot, as the delivery was late - wasn’t expecting it to be unfortunately. Like I said - not their best I have had from this shop .. just - ok.

The food is quiet good but the service is poor. They chased me till outside asking me to pay when I already did before eat the food.

As a local I have been going to this shop for many years. Good quality fish and chips, Lovely owners and staff. Recently refurbished shop and looks great!

food was lovely as always. the skin on the fish was golden and crispy and the sausage in batter was light and crispy too. the chops weren't oily.

I have been getting my fish and chips from Captains Cabin since the 80's. Loved it when Chris and Omar ran it and still love it now! The new folk are working very hard to keep up their good reputation and it shows. The food is excellent, the service is great and the refurbishment is lovely. I only wish they still served skate. But they do still have tasty cod roe. Thank you.

Food late chops was as hard as a rock not fresh at all super cold discusting

The chips were over cooked and dry the fish was extremely oily on the ouside and dry and tasteless on the inside. The steak and Kidney pie was ok.

The fish was excellent fried,not too much oil..Even chips was nice.. Will definitely use again...

Order late phoned them and the person on the other end of the phone did not care that my order was late

I ordered and paid for a chicken breast..got a chicken leg . This used to be a great chip shop . Its only a shadow of what it used to be . Cheap fish . Chips not great . . I'll avoid from now on . Such a shame

Some of the best fish and chips I've had in a long while. I find these days finding proper old-school chipshop fish and chips is difficult. A lot of it seems from-frozen and generic now, especially at pubs and kebab shops. Despite multiple disapponting experiences elsewhere, we ended up having a craving for some and ordered delivery, not really knowing what to expect, tbh. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised after having so many mediocre or downright bad fish n chips in London in the past few years. The chips are fresh, and handcut. The fish is solid and tasty and flaky. Not overcooked, overbattered, or overfried. Everything was done just right and hit all the right notes for what I was seeking. Tartar sauce was perfect. Chips weren't too greasy. Portions are generous and well-priced. Photo is only a part of the entire order. We had chips to last for days, it seemed. Incredibly positive experience. Would definitely order from here again!

I've ordered from here many times and have been really happy. But this time , after the refurbishment, I was a little disappointed. However, I will still give them another chance as this may have been a one off. Pleases don't let me down.

This place used to be 5 stars. They've recently gone through a renovation, since then they've raised their price and shrunk the portions. Because of this there is no reason to go back

Captains Cabin always delivers quality food

My drinks were missing with each kids meal. Received the three meals but no Pepsi can, no 7up can or coke can. Got large bottle of Pepsi but wanted cans as part of the order

Fast but, chips and fish were made, as requested. Usual spring roll we order, is not miniature sized. This one was miniature sized and couldn't be shared by two people.

Food Didn’t arrive. Then the store called me saying I refused the order, when I explained no one knocked on my door and I have a ring camera to prove it. He said i was lying. Lol.

The food was not as hot as it could have been

If I could upload a picture I would. I ordered cod and chips, the cod was as thin as a piece of toast and dry. The batter was thick and greasy. I love fish and chips, this was by far the worst I’ve had. I threw it in the min after a few mouthfuls. I didn’t even get a refund.

Updated 23/9/23 Waste everyone's time. Reduce to 1 star. I called 20 min in advance to place and order for fish and chips and again you make me wait another 15 min inside. Total 35 min! What's the point in placing a phone order if you can't be bothered to get it ready. And on top of that you make mistakes and can't get that right. You don't listen carefully on the phone and repeat the order back wrong. Sort it out. Never the same single the Egyptian couple left. ********************** 2022 review Please stop asking people to pay cash, you've been saying for months your card machine is not working - don't be cheap about the credit card fees, you've hiked up the price of food by a huge amount and give lower portion sizes compared to the lovely Egyptian couple. Make us walk to a cash machine and pay ATM fees. Also I call ahead 15 min to place my order and you make me wait another 20 min in the shop when you only start cooking the fish. Many times you've done this, why bother with Tel order? Why do you want to annoy your customers? Focus on customer service please. Oh and stock more onion vinegar, it's always finished! Fish and chips otherwise good but marginally better with the Egyptian couple.

Mediocre/average chips and rubbish portion of curry sauce. £1.50 for about 75ml of curry sauce. Outrageous and appalling. These look normal sized in photos but are tiny. Would probably need about 5x75ml = 375ml of these to go with a large bag of chips because I like to dunk each chip properly, but I'm not paying £7. 50 for sauce am i?! Also Bland onion rings.

If I could choose 0 stars I would I ordered on Uber eats a chicken steak burger meal , chicken patty was extremely over cooked and burnt , not to mention extremely tiny also compared to the burger bun itself bread was soggy lettuce was soft it was terrible , as for the chips I got about 10 chips I could count them the portion size was so tiny won’t be ordering from here again!!! And when I called up to tell I wanted salt and vinegar on my chips man sounded very irritated , really bad customer service

Ordered kids cod and chips. Chips were under cooked and the batter on the fish was like cardboard. Very disappointed.

Fries were quite soggy. anything with batter was quite oily, tasty but oily. A bit too expensive for the quality for me.

Very nice packaging and great fish and chips taste. Only downside was the tartare sauce not very tasty. Will be be ordering again.

I have ordered from them before and they are usually very good but this time round the portion size of the chips were very small. Disappointed that it took over an hour to arrive as the time kept on changing and disappointed that the portion size of chips was so small.

Too tight with the chips . I counted maybe fifteen . Just ain't worth it at 13 95 for fish and chips Want to support my local chippie but this is a joke

I didn't get my haddock but received 2 large bags of the worst chips I've ever seen, it takes ages to sort out and I was left with no dinner for ages. I'm disabled and relayed on this serve, never again.

My order arrived late, I was watching the route on my phone & delivery driver was going way out of the way. When he arrived he said he had to drop off another order first, so I got COLD CHIPS, very disappointing! I ordered a DIET COKE as I have diabetes, but they sent me full sugar PEPSI!!!!

The best fish and chips EVER!!!. I miss it sooo much when I return to Swansea, but everytime I go to London this is the only place I will get fish and chips from. It's beautifully cooked and melt in the mouth batter and freshly cooked chips 😋

I found the fish to be all better very little fish. Also it was very dry. The chips were okay but look like they could go on a holiday to get some colour

Food was cold by the time it got here, even though we are only 1.2 miles away - very disappointed with the service from the Just Eat driver!!!
