Capital Restaurant in Enfield

Disgraceful service I stood at the door for 10 mins so I could place an order worth a fair bit and nobody attended to me…they weren’t even busy!!!!! I ended up walking out and going down the street to Kervan who offered me such a great service and gave me tea whilst my order was getting prepared- just gone off this restaurant no more parties here anymore

My favourite Turkish restaurant used to be Gokyuzu. But it changed a lot, the food is not what it used to be. Top favourite Turkish restaurants for me is now Capital. The food is amazing, the service is really fast and the personal are highly professional and friendly. The restaurant is amazing inside and out ( as I am a smoker ). I just can't find one thing to not love going there. Highly recommend going there.

Had the breakfast very expensive nothing tasted fresh. A lot came late and in bits and pieces. Sausages came fry like it was cooked way before and reheated. Cups looked dirty. Would not recommend especially for Turkish breakfast

The service was great, and the atmosphere was great. Food was mediocre. However, it was not too much of a letdown. 3/4 out of 5 for food.

Portions are very large and naturally there is a lot of waste:( taste performance is very good.

There is a disrespectful waiter called Genco, they did not take the order for 20 minutes, did not give a menu, the food came incomplete and he blames the customer.

We have been there whole family 6 of us, lovely place and nice food, fast service. Manager Gencay was so kind and helpful, got us a nice table as we have small kids.We travel all the way from Braintree to enjoy the best kebab in relax atmosphere.Thanks Gencay and to all staff at Capital

Organised my daughter’s birthday her with 25 people, 2 weeks ago..I must say the staff were fantastic and attentive. The food was amazing, with the platters being very filling.Everyone thoroughly commented on the excellent quality of the meat. General Manger was friendly and always had time for us.

Regularly get takeaway from here and the food is always very tasty, and portions are more than generous! The lamb chops are simply perfect!

Nice place. Only giving it 3 stars as we ordered a few platters and they small in size compared to other places. Taste was average. Overall we all had a good time so wasn’t bad all round.

So it's one of the places where I had the best breakfast, I liked it very much. Prices could have been a little more reasonable.

This restaurant is clean, tidy, comfortable, huge, modern, colourful, vibrant, sleek, bright and elegant which is great if you want to go somewhere where it is very nice place to be in with family and friends. The staff are friendly, organised, welcoming, respectful, professional, well mannered, sociable, supportive and understanding. The food is delicious, mouthwatering, flavourful, tasty, well portioned, meaty and have vegetables at the same time which is great Turkish pizza that reminds of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey’s food and how they make it in there when you buy it to eat. The price is £18.00 for food and drinks which is very affordable and cheap. Although I have not been there physically I did put order through my great friend called Mehmet Alkas and he brought it from there which I am thankful to him for buying it.

I have been coming here for 4 years and always had excellent service and really good food. The authentic breakfast is really good value, the chicken shish is delicious and the pide are good too. Lovely warm complimentary breads and good tea. Staff are always friendly and it’s easy walk to WHL. Always lots of local families eating and day trippers on footy days but always get a table as it’s well run and a big place.

This evening I regretfully visited the restaurant with my wife and 4 children. Ordered the starters and mixed platter. Mixed platter lamb was tough and uncooked as was the chicken. Ordered 2 non alcoholic mock tails for my kids, and when my daughter was served with her drink she quickly pointed out that their is a strange taste. After tasting the drink I quickly suspected the presence of Alcohol. I quickly took the drink to the waitress who served me who took the drink away and questioned the maker of the drinks and returned and apologised accepting liability. When I started asking for the owner and taking information to escalate the complaint they quickly started changing their tone and said they need to investigate the cameras. My daughter fell extremely un well crying and dizziness couldn’t walk out of the restaurant without aid. After almost 20 minutes they then claimed their was no alcohol in the drinks but refused to bring the drinks back to investigate them. Avoid this place if your muslim they were extremely disrespectful about the whole situation. Never again obviously and my lesson learnt don’t eat at resturants who serve alcohol.

Food is lovely and a good portion! We had the most amazing waitress JEREN who was soo lovely and helpful!!

We go to this place often ,sometimes all the family,sometimes just me and my husband for lunch on the weekdays is one of the best turkish restaurants

Have been here quite a few times as this is my go to place when I have guests around. Good food, nice staffs and easy to get to. The only issue that I find is for a restaurant of that size they have no dedicated parking. That area is notorious with Rip off Enfield Parking attendants, they sometimes hides in bushes waiting for people to park. I know that very well since I have had 2 tickets there, each time within a couple of minutes only of being away from my car. You have to park on the road, and every time that I go to Capital I have to request for a seat near the window so that I can keep an eye on my car, which is not great as I do not really enjoy my time as I should be.

Food was a let down, the cous cous was mushy, I ordered a platter for £70 and it only came with 1 kofta and 2 lamb chops ! On tge menu it states that the platter serves 3-4 people ! Make it make sense! However, the service was great the food was a big let down, the meat was undercooked and lacked flavour and two out of the four of us have been ill since eating there.

The restaurant itself is nice, though overpriced. Food and atmosphere were good but the service was extremely poor. Turkish restaurants have usually very good service and this felt a bit of a let down.

It’s been 6 years I go there. Toady I was very disappointed the manager was very rude. No manners how to talk to the customers. We were charged twice for something which is free.we got served by him first like throwing food we ordered on the table. Then we got a a good waitress named Nathalia very good manners polite good service. A message for this stupid manager he don’t want to work stay home. 😤

We will never go there again,we ordered 3 x £70 platters for a total of 10 people there was only 1 Kofte and 2 lamb chops on the plate all I had was 2 ribs 2 chicken wings a piece of lamb and chicken shish and some chicken and lamb doner.the bill came to £360 it certainly wasn’t worth it.we’ve had a lot more meat for a lot less money in other restaurants.We all agreed we’ll never go there again.Huseyin.

Service was great until they decided to start cleaning the table whilst we were still seated. Dropped bits of salad onto my clothes whilst cleaning. Standard of food was ok however not on par with gokyuzu. Overall a good family restaurant. Could be a five star however they need to train their staff to wait until customers have left before they start wiping down tables and food should not be so chewy. Edit* Been twice since and have to say that the food taste and texture has improved a lot. Staff are better trained now. No longer feel as though being rushed. However it’s always really noisy on the table next to us.

Nice fresh food, generous portions. Not haute cuisine and a vast room but they do it well. Would be amazing if you wanted a really large party.

I bought 2 rice Pudding. It's not cook. Too hard rice. I am not buying any more from this restaurant.

18 pounds for a breakfast,its ridiculous, food is no different than other turkish restaurants in the area. Complete ripp off.. they charge service charge aswell. Dont waiste your money there.

Had lunch at restaurant and food was really very nice. We took the platter and had the possibility to taste the chicken and lamb with rice and couscous.Price is moderate to high for England.

Guys, the food was very tasty, even the bread was soft and delicious. The starter salads wow quality, they even had pomegranate in it with a touch, not a lot of spices, it was lovely. The drips which accompanies the starter was plentiful. All the staff are lovely and friendly specially Sahin, and the manager which makes it even more delightful to enjoy your meal. I think this is one of the best Turkish restaurants to eat at and trust me I've been to a few. I will be back 100%.

Very Expensive , Less Food in the Platter very few items in starter Prices are gone up low quility with missing food Items as we were use to order same platter in the past.

Cheap.not enough. Burned not fried. Not variety. Poor quality lettuce leaves grapes.. soaking in oil burned aubergine not fried........ Doesn't deserwed our money.

I ordered a capital special, I paid £51 and it came half cooked, oddly smelly especially the wings. I used to love this place, but now I know not to come here again.

Table was booked 12 at 19:30. Still at 20:00 our table wasn't ready. Was then told that they couldn't accommodate us and our party 12 had to be seated separately. Shocking service

Food was great as usual. The only negative was the significant increase in menu prices which we've noticed over the last 2 years and again in the last month. I know inflationary pressures are there, but it's now become too expensive to eat here. Food and service are good though, can't fault it. We've been coming here for many years and it never disappoints.

This resturant HAD the best breakfast, we used to visit atleast twice a month and travel just under a hour to get there! They now sadly have changed the breakfast putting less and charging more. The quality of the food wasn't great and sadly we were so disappointed. Management definitely need to reconsider the price list, they serv3r breakfast which cost then under 5pounds to serve stripping away the goods they had and now charging 40 pounds. It was worth the money before but not anymore.

Not a wide choice of main course vegetarian meals but what they had was really tasty and of course the complimentary bread, salad and dips were excellent. I would definitely go again.

We came to have breakfast at the place, we didn't like the service at all, the staff was very rude, the coffee shop was soggy, we couldn't have breakfast as we expected.😔

Ordered a mix kebab. The food was freezing. The lamb and chicken shish were very hard and flavourless. I could only taste garlic on the chicken and in all the dips. Every waiter that came to the table was different and not helpful. The ayran (yogurt drink) was like watery yogurt absolutely horrible. I asked for a bottled coke which was room temperature! My glass was broken. To top that off the waiter kept wiping his nose and came over to our table to give us the bill. I would never go back. Horrible food, service and atmosphere. I wouldn't even give them a one star but I couldn't leave a review if I didn't.

We took Lamb soup for takeaway and couldn’t believe the bread we received with the food. It was burnt thin and not edible.

Horrible service. I called for a pickup. I asked for doner with rice and I told them I don’t want couscous twice over the phone. Then when I arrived I asked twice if it’s rice they kept yes don’t worry. Came home and it was couscous! They completely ignored me.

Beautiful breakfast place have authentic Turkish breakfast, clean and nice atmosphere. Even though we spoke Turkish to them their service could be better.

The food was good, but one of the waiters ruined the whole experience. the nice turkish bread is included with some of the meals and it is complementary as much as you want we were told. However when we asked for some bread, the waiter said he would check and then disappeared. After we managed to get hold of him, he said it was finished. After a couple of minutes we saw other waiters serving other guests. the waiter lied to us. we complained to the manager and apologized and said he will talk to him. we ate the food without the bread, which was so good, hence the 3 stars

I just bought 2 chicken wrap doner they charged me £23.40 its rip off I should get charged £22.00 if the price is £11 each large chicken doner?

I attended Capital on 29.07 for my daughter's 18th birthday. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the staff were accommodating. I cannot fault it at all. We had a great experience & would highly recommend this restaurant. I had to add extra diners at the last minute, which once again the staff did not complain about and made the necessary space. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday a memorable one. I will definitely be visiting again.

O que dizer sobre este magnífico restaurante, nem sei por onde começar mas pronto, assim que chegamos bebemos um cafezinho na esplanada enquanto aguardava mos que estivesse mos todos, com todos presentes entramos e sentaram nos numa bela mesa grande e espaçosa, começamos com umas entradas, um belo pão com umas saladas e veio com todos os molhos depois pedimos uma mista de carnes e uma especialidade da casa que era fenomenal, ótimas bebidas, grande ambiente familiar foi o estabelecimento certo pra celebrar o meu aniversário de certeza que voltarei e recomendo a irem visitar este belo espaço.

As a large group we ordered the 1.6 meter kebab that came with a variety of starters and sides which was more than enough for us all. Both the atmosphere & service were great and the food was delicious.

First time visiting here and I was well impressed. Food was full of quality and amazing taste. Restaurant was clean and customer service was brilliant. Will definitely visit again.

Met some friends and family here last week...I was full before the meal came the starters alone filled me up,but proud to say I had a very big doggy bag! Everything about this place was generous I'm definitely going back there

I ordered a yogurt chicken beyti, it was edible aside from the large half of a tomato placed in the middle of the plate which was a decor? A delicious meze served which was very dangerous for us, we indulged ourselves way too much to enjoy the main dishes that were coming out. 😅 Thats on us - The service was good and respectful apart from one staff member. A waitress who seemed distressed by her job and was irritated at me for asking for a extra glass cup. The eye roll gave it away .. not pleasant. Aside from that my group had a lovely time at the restaurant. Thank you

Honestly, I should have gone to Kervan. My friends and are an all black girls and we were treated so poorly due to our skin colour. It wasn’t just us, another black family was treated so poorly. They kept giving us dirty looks and laughing as they looked at our table. They rushed my friends and I, snatched our bread and salad off the table while we were still eating it. I asked if I could swap my lunch rice or fries and the waiter said it was not possible where in Kervan, they allow that. The meal was very expensive for what it was. They gave me the wrong drink even though I ordered it twice. The waiter just kept going to the table of the customers who spoke Turkish for long periods of time and then on top of that, they charged 10% service charge which they refused to take off. Awful! Will never come back
